We have used these guys for two moves and both times were amazing. First was local move within Brooklyn and the second was getting us out to the burbs of Bergen County after a huge snow storm!

Excellent service! Rich is personable and helpful. Clive takes extra care with your belongings as if they were his own.

Our eldest child was moving from Midtown to Brooklyn and we were out of town living here in DC so we wanted to make sure everything would be taken care of. Rich and his whole team could no have been nicer or more professional. Rich was always quickly available with answers and information. Moving day was smooth and efficient. Their rates are great and fair. I highly recommend All Star and give them 5 stars!

Used them a few months ago to do a complicated move that also included a lot of collectibles, tribal art and antiquities. Could not have asked for a better experience. They were wonderful. Thank you.

The movers arrived on time, if not a few minutes ahead of schedule. The loading and unloading crews were kind and helpful, as well as hardworking and efficient.

Five stars for All Star. Rich was always quick to respond to my questions. No hidden costs, they were very upfront from the beginning about how much they charge for their services. Maybe they are not the cheapest, but they were worth it. The movers arrived on time. We did an out of state move, so it was a very long day. All our stuff arrived without a scratch and the team remained dedicated.

They were very courteous and hard working. AllStar definitely made the difficult process of moving a lot more pleasant. I've used other movers in NY before, and hands down AllStar was the best. I would definitely recommend.

My friend recommended me this company and wow charge professional rates. Absolute shit show. They damaged furniture and left everything in thr middle of the room because they were on the clock. A crew of 7 came to move a 2 bed apt from one space to another end out everything else in storage and it took them 8 hours. Lazy, unmotivated crew who charged over 2 k and left my place in utter mess and smart furniture. Unless you want to waste your money. I'd say a big NO.

Called the company line for a rate quote and promptly received a call within 15 minutes from a representative. The representative was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable, and was able to present me with the best options for my move from Harlem to Brooklyn. The representative even included two free hand trucks for my reservation. I am definitely considering All Star Moving and Storage for this upcoming move.

The movers that showed up from all star were fantastic. But before that, I was impressed with the communication I had with the owner of the company and the administrators, who were very responsive to all of my questions and concerns. They even recommended booking on certain days to save a little bit of money. In the end, I move that I was expecting to take around five hours took three hours from start to finish. I highly recommend all star.

All Star both packed me and moved me from Brooklyn to Jersey City. Richard, the owner, was my primary contact. They did such an excellent job. I'm very happy with them and will definitely be using them for my next move. The furniture was carefully moved and arranged. Everyone spoke English so it was easy to communicate where to put the furniture.

They were exactly on time for both the packing and the move itself. They brought cones to block off the street when needed. They were 100% professional. They wore masks while both packing and moving. I couldn't believe how smoothly the whole thing went. My only negative comment would be that they used far too much paper when packing my stuff, even plastic. That's it. Everything else was perfect. Also their prices were fair and even slightly less than another quote I had gotten.

I have used All-Star on three occasions: Twice when I moved to different apartments in New York City, and most recently when I moved from NYC to Columbia, SC, where I now reside. In addition I kept many of my belongings in All-Star's storage facility for many months before moving to SC. Rich and his crew could not be more professional and competent.

From an initial personal visit to offer a realistic estimate of the costs; to offering very fair rates with no "hidden extras"; to delivering all of the many cardboard boxes, packing tape, and other supplies we needed to pack. On moving days the crew was prompt, courteous, diligent, and extremely efficient. They always went the extra mile to accommodate any difficult situations.

I had a 12 foot rowing oar which literally was walked down 12 flights of stairs by one of the crew, for example. Before my move to SC one furniture item had literally been assembled in my apartment and literally could not be physically moved out, so they diligently and expertly dismantled it get it out of the building. When the All-Star truck filled completely with my furniture and belongings arrived in SC I noticed that virtually every item had been meticulously packed and sealed, and secured within the truck to prevent any damage en route.

The entire move-in once the truck arrived took less than two hours, and Clive the driver even offered me important tips on how to efficiently arrange my items in my new storage facility to maximize space and ease of access. In short my experience has taught me that All-Star's moves are extremely well-planned, and go off without drama or hitches. They take care of it all, and put their customers at ease.

I live in SC now, but if I was still in NYC I would not hesitate for a moment to use them again and again for any of my moving or storage needs. They are a superb moving and storage company in every respect.

I used All Star again to move back from Chapel Hill to New York this time with 4 people's worth of stuff (2 adults, 1 toddler, 1 newborn). They were just as fantastic the 2nd time as they were the first time. Super highly recommended.

This was both a personal and professional job on a fairly complicated move. Rich was extremely open and helpful in providing advice and options for our move. His team of 5 movers were professional, respectful, careful and excellent to work with. We had a move from an apartment in NYC to both a house in upstate New York and to storage. Rich offered us the option of storing in either Brooklyn or Kingston NY, and the moving team did the packing, a 2 1/2 hour drive upstate, unloading at the house, loading some additional items from there, and then taking the rest to storage, all in a day. They made what is always a stressful process as easy as possible. We couldn't have been happier with how it went.

Rich's team was such a pleasure to work with. We had a three person crew out for a local move on a hot summer day. The crew was on time (even got started a little early), diligent and friendly. Fragile, bulky, heavy, they came prepared for all situations and had tools on hand to disassemble furniture when needed. Everything was strapped snugly into the truck by the foreman.

There wasn't a single corner scuffed or wall scratched in either our old place or new. Even items we didn't expect to make the trip (the rickety secondhand pressboard dressers) were delivered with no damage. Pricing was upfront and easy to understand, with just a few minor charges for boxes since our place was still a swirl of half-packed clutter by the time they arrived.

The foreman made a calculation error for the time spent that I didn't catch because I was braindead from packing and unpacking, but he ran back to the house and fixed it before I even noticed. Wholeheartedly recommend this experience for anyone searching for movers.

I had to break my lease and put a one bedrooms worth of boxes and furniture in storage for a month while I searched for a new place. Rich and Anthony really made me feel taken care of, the 3 movers I had practically had super powers in terms of strength and speed and were super thorough with my list. By the time I needed to take my things out of storage Rich and Anthony were so kind and cooperative when another moving company came and picked up all my things at All Star's storage facility. I didn't have to be there. Fully trusted the team to get my things on the truck, and everything showed up in great condition. Amazing love u guys

Amazing service by caring, super-competent mover team. My husband and I moved within Brooklyn in the middle of Covid. The All Star super-star packing and moving team got us out of one walk-up and quickly and carefully up the stairs to our new walk-up with narrow staircase. We may have moved a ten-minute drive, but our furniture, dishes, pictures, and the like were wrapped like they were going cross-country. Can't recommend these movers enough, especially the crew leader, Brendon. Thank you!

Living in NYC I have had to move several times but my last two moves were with Allstar and things could not have gone smoother. For both moves Anthony and Richard were very responsive and the team on moving day was super communicative and careful with all of our belongings. The pricing is competitive and overall service is very good. Moving is hard and a pain but this company made the process relatively painless and we were extremely thankful.

I really can't say enough about how awesome these guys were. My move was a short one, just 7 blocks in Williamsburg, but with a lot of heavy boxes, fragile items, etc. These guys were fast as lightning but never at the expense of damaging our belongings - everything reappeared in our new apartment without any sign of having been transported. No matter the distance or size of your move, they will get it done.

I'm leaving my first Yelp review specifically to give them five stars. Rodney has been extremely professional. They moved a one bedroom worth of furniture into storage for me and the move was seamless -- I was the unorganized one, but thanks to their help it went off without a hitch. I have saved a bundle using their storage and any time I have needed to retrieve something the process was quick, easy and everyone on their team has provided exemplary customer service. Very few business leave me floored by their customer service, but this one has surpassed all of my expectations. They are the new gold standard in moving companies.

This is the best moving company ever! Look no further. Wish I could give them more stars. My move from Brooklyn to Pennsylvania went beyond smoothly. I decided to use All Star Moving based on Yelp reviews and reviews on Park Slope Parents and I'm really glad I did. Our crew (Brandon, Carlos, Herman, Cody and Richie) were fantastic. They made what should have been a stressful day really easy. These guys had the best attitudes. They were careful and super respectful of our stuff and our space. Brandon and Carlos even got stuck in our elevator (!) and were unbelievable calm and good-natured about it.

We had them pack us (which they did carefully with very precise labeling), move us and then unpack us. The price ended up being significantly lower than the "not to exceed" estimate- a great surprise! All-in-all a wonderful experience. I'd highly recommend All Star Moving. Just an FYI- there is another company with a very similar name that apparently isn't very good (I *think* they're out of the Bronx). Make sure you're talking to All Star owned by Richard in Brooklyn (Rodney is the person I emailed and spoke to- Richard did our estimate).

All Star's customer service would stand out as objectively excellent in any industry, let alone amid the usual minefield of sketchy moving companies charging hidden fees. I called All Star in March 2015 to move me out of a small Manhattan 1BR (3rd floor walk-up) and into their Brooklyn facility, thinking I'd only need a couple months of storage while I traveled.

Two years, three countries, four U.S. states, and the death of a parent later, I am finally retrieving my things and moving to California. My experience with All Star has been unconditionally positive from start to finish. Quick replies to my initial inquiry. Clear communication about pricing. Professional and efficient movers, punctual and pleasant to deal with.

I was mostly ready but they helped me pack up my kitchen -- did a great job, maybe a little generous with the packing materials, and I ended up with more cubic feet in storage than expected, but that's probably on me. Better than things breaking, anyway, right? Move went off without a hitch. When I needed to leave my things longer than planned, All Star was flexible.

When I inadvertently missed a couple payments because I was out of the country, they worked with me to get back on track. Any questions were answered on the spot or within the day. Now that I'm moving cross-country, they've been great at coordinating with the relocation company and communicating with me. I was afraid I'd have to fly to NYC and oversee the transfer of property -- nope! Easy, transparent, great.

The cherry on top? They just emailed to ask where to send a check for the $150 I'd prepaid (but won't use) in April. When was the last time a company proactively reached out to return money to you? Huge thank you to Rodney, who has been my main point of contact throughout and is responsible for many of the positive interactions noted above.

We just moved from Brooklyn to Westchester. I waited until the last minute to find movers and grossly underestimated how much stuff we had crammed into that apartment. Fortunately, they were able to squeeze us in on the day we were hoping to move. Unfortunately, we had twice as many boxes as we told them and we hadn't been able to finish packing (because there was just that much stuff).

When the supervisor came in, he immediately got on the phone to get another guy to join the crew, because we HAD to be in our new place by 5, while he and the other guys packed up the rest of of our stuff more carefully than we would have at that point. They were absolutely amazing! They worked quickly and efficiently and we could not have asked for a better experience.

My new tenants used All Star, so I don't have the full picture, however, one of the movers was also quite rude to my father. They also took some of my (unframed) art off the wall to protect them during the move, but put them on the FLOOR under a door, which I found to be pretty disrespectful. There were a few fingerprints on the borders and a tiny nick to the paper on one piece, but they were pretty ok.

I just thought they could have asked my tenants or my father who was supervising where to put them. Update: I only just saw the response below. I appreciate the explanation, although it's quite defensive, condescending and unnecessarily long. First, I don't recall being asked any specific questions, so I must have missed a message. As I said, I wasn't present, so I didn't have the full picture, but I simply said that they could have asked my tenants or my father who were there to supervise about the art. Period.

No need to go on from there. Further, my own tenants actually said that their team was rude to my father. He's elderly and gets confused--that's why he probably moved your bag. I'll add 1 star, but the response actually worsened my opinion. Oh, and I own the building, not my father. Yes, women can own buildings;)

I relied on Yelp to find this place, so I'll leave a little love (and, trust me, I waited until I had used their storage services and reclaimed my things and settled my account to write this). Rodney & Co. were super responsive (usually via email), friendly, and flexible. They took good care of my things and I recently emptied my unit and found everything as it should be (and not smelly! and not dusty!).

The pricing was fair and closing the account was easy. All around a good experience. My things were packed and prepped in my apartment in upper manhattan and stored in their facility (in Brooklyn) for about 8 months. Everyone I encountered/worked with was personable and professional.

I love that my review is being called an "overreaction" when I'm still having issues with the card. I've had seven overdraft fees since the incident. Seven. It still hasn't been properly sorted out with the bank. Yes, it may have been a mistake but it's a mistake that has consequences. Calling this an overreaction is dismissive and sexist because it's a term that's used to control women from expressing their anger.

I was lied to, had my stuff broken, and Artie made sure to complain excessively in front of me in an effort to guilt me for. existing? He complained about moving my stuff every time I was in earshot. It was obnoxious and annoying. I was never even going to leave a review for the problem until I was overcharged on a HOLIDAY WEEKEND, left without funds, and had bills bounce.

I was going to let all the issues with the movers go UNTIL my credit was damaged. It took over a week for the owner to get back to me and that was only AFTER I left the negative review on yelp. The crew was horrible and now I'm being patronized by the owner who is micro-managing and tone-policing my review. Great. Richard, your company screwed up my credit card permanently and I'm legitimately angry about it.

It doesn't matter if it was human error, it's a feeling I am allowed to have. Anyone in my position would be angry. I'm also allowed to be angry about dishonesty from the crew. It's telling that you call the crew member that lied about plugging in my AC a "poor fellow" and that "a level of intensity" excuses his lies. It doesn't and it's another example of tone-policing.

There is no excuse for turning on a strangers AC and then lying about it. None. End of argument. I'm not angry about the AC being turned on, I'm angry about him lying about it, not apologizing, and then you excusing it because I may have scared him into lying. He is not a child, he's a grown man. We talked for nearly two hours where you apologized but you also said if I didn't alter my review you would contact an attorney.

And then you leave that reply to my review. Own up for your lying crew. Do not make excuses for their behavior. Do not blame me for allegedly being "intense" when asking who turned on my ac to 64 degrees with all the windows open.

I'm really impressed with these guys. They moved us on June 30 from a 1 BR on the UWS to a 2 BR in Brooklyn. The Brooklyn apt was a co-op with a million rules and regulations about COI, timing, security guards etc and they took care of everything. We had packed ourselves and were completely packed when they arrived. They took care of both dis-assembling and reassembling our queen size Ikea bed.

They wrapped and padded all our furniture. They fit a sofa and big chair through doors, unscathed, by removing the legs, but also by being knowledgeable about how to aim the sofa at the the door. (I swear I didn't think it was going to fit.) They were on time, worked hard and got everything moved with a minimum of misery. (Moving is by definition miserable.) The people I spoke to in the office were pleasant, professional and knowledgeable.

The movers themselves were the same. The price was fair and there were no unexpected charges. I would use them again in a heartbeat. They were everything I want a mover to be. (As an off-topic aside, I used plastic rentable bins instead of cardboard boxes for this move. THEY ARE THE BEST! I will review elsewhere, but if you are moving you gotta try these. I will never use cardboard boxes for moving again.)
