I have used Ben-Hur 4-6 times over the years. They are, by far, the most reasonably priced movers that I am aware of in the city. They are incredibly reliable, fast, efficient and they have never broken an item. They are easy to deal with, return calls promptly and are proactive. I have dealt with and used other moving companies over the years. Ben-Hur has always been the best!

I've used Ben Hur for my last 4-5 moves and they've always been great. My most recent moved involved a 5th floor walk- up apartment, and the movers were professional, efficient and didn't break anything. I hope I don't have to move again for a long time, but if I do I will definitely use Ben Hur again. They are great, affordable and easy to work with.

The guys were so friendly, helpful, careful, efficient. So happy I went with Ben Hur for the 2nd time moving!

Have been using BenHur for over 20yrs for all my moves within the city and out of the city. They have consistently been reliable, friendly, efficient and reasonable. It's tough to have such wonderful teams of people consistently giving good service over such a long stretch of time and I'm always SO HAPPY to give BenHur my business! I will never change movers as long as they are around - keep up the great service and long time customers like me will be loyal! Bravo!

Okay. I've had some pretty bad experiences with movers, but these guys are AMAZING! From the first interaction to the last, but geez, I'm not joking, other moving companies should take note. this is how you treat people. I'd hire them again in heart beat. Thank you Ben Hur for hitting it out of the ball park.

We used Ben Hur in June to move from Brooklyn to upstate NY- I can not believe how seamless our move was- totally stress free! Booking was easy (they fit us in on a weekend at the end of the month, with 2 weeks notice) and the cost was way more affordable than competitors. When the movers arrived they were professional and efficient. They packed us up and were on the road quicker than expected. Ben hur was recommended to us by 2 family members who also agreed on their impeccable customer service. Thanks guys- we really appreciated it!

This was the best moving experience we have ever had! The movers were all extremely professional and experienced. They were very careful with all of our pictures and fragile objects, as well as with all of our heavy furniture. We would absolutely use them again in the future and recommend them to all of our friends!

I moved recently from the Upper West Side to southern Riverdale. I was very worried that "things" would get in the way - like lack of parking and not getting to my destination in time. The movers from Ben Hur were top notch -- very professional; moved quickly, stretch wrapped all the furniture and blanket wrapped; retaped some of the boxes I had packed.

They were also fast and knew what to do. I was very very impressed. Special mention to Abakar, the supervisor - excellent job. He took my bed apart and reassembled in new place. They made everything look easy and seamless and I know it wasn't - this is Professionalism. Their prices were also very competitive. I would absolutely recommend them. Also special mention to David in the office for giving me a fixed price and always being there to answer my questions. They also finished the job by 3:30.

I've used Ben Hur 3 times now and they've always been excellent. This last time was a multi-step move: gathering stuff from storage units in the Bronx and Brooklyn, my office in Manhattan, everything in our Brooklyn Apartment and then hauling it down to Delaware. They guys were friendly, good humored, and FAST. Very very happy with their work each time!

ZERO STARS. I signed up for Yelp just to write this review. I moved recently and I did not know of any moving companies and Ben Hur came up as a recommendation. STAY AWAY. My 2 and 1/2 year old tv's screen was badly damaged and they did not offer compensation/repair for the damage. Be very careful with them because the estimator will appear very helpful and professional and it is the total opposite the day of your move. STAY AWAY.

Ben Hur was easy to work with. On Wednesday they came in to do an estimate. Their prices were about 3/4 the price of the highest bid for moving and about 1.25 times more the lowest bid (the lowest bidder also missed their scheduled appointment to do inventory). Alan was our go-to guy on the day of the move. He put us at ease and made sure everything was properly wrapped and took care of ensuring all of our items made it from the first apartment to the second. Definitely would recommend them.

Ben Hur Moving is the best company I've experienced. All was efficient and well covered to prevent damage to all my belongings. They were open to the precise measurements I gave them to place furniture in a small apartment. I would recommend them to others.

Moved our family from NY to VA. From Everton coming to our house and doing intake to Rafael and his team. They were excellent.one time, efficient and all items arrived and no damage.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. Called on Sunday afternoon (January 10th) to schedule a time for someone to do a walk through with regards to a moving quote. Spoke with a gentleman who stated he could come the following morning (January 11th) at 7am to do a walk through before I had to leave for work. Woke up the next morning bright and early to prepare, only to be stood up.

It is now Tuesday, January 12th, and STILL no one has called to (i) apologize or (ii) reschedule. If this company can't even keep a simple appointment, who knows if they are capable of actually moving!

These movers were incredible! I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone and everyone. Firstly, for the amount of stuff that I had to move (a lot of furniture and 5 bookcases-worth of extremely heavy books), the quote that I got from Ben Hur was much better than other companies. The 4 movers arrived at my apartment early and were extremely efficient.

I requested beforehand to be done by a certain time, and they respected that request and worked tirelessly to make sure that kept their word, despite multiple setbacks with furniture that wouldn't through the door and the like. Movers were extremely professional, and were happy to accommodate packing arrangements that we hadn't arranged beforehand.

For example, I was planning on personally transporting all of my artwork and pictures out of fear that they would get damaged with movers, but changed my mind when the movers were at my apartment. They happily packed it all up and made sure to transport it with extreme care, and the paintings/pictures arrived safely at my apartment with no harm done! The entire experience was very enjoyable and beyond my expectations!

We have moved twice with Ben Hur, and each time was truly exceptional. Kind, professional, efficient, hard-working movers that took great care of us and our belongings. We've decided to let them unpack us next time too because the pack and move was always so great. Highly highly highly recommended!

STAY AWAY FROM BEN HUR: They managed to loose two big pieces of furniture and refused to be accountable for them. One of them was an antique chair, irreplaceable, part of a group of eight! And a large Table lamp, one of a pair. Paid tons of money to Ben Hur to pack all my belongings, store them while work was done in my apartment and return them a month later. Well, should be a basic task for a moving company, no?

When I told them about the missing pieces they couldn't come up with any explanation, send me a claim form to fill up. I send them all the receipts of the missing items and cost to replace them. My claim was about $1500.-, they came back to me with A $175.- settlement. What a joke! Will bring the matter to small claim court Looking for a moving company? Make yourself a favor, pick another one from the list

Details: 1600sf duplex home. Up 2 sets of stairs. 3 bedrooms. Lots of large furniture and delicate pieces. Duration: FULL move (load-in, 1 hour drive and unload) took 6 hours; 8a-2p. Best movers ever. hands down! After booking a horrible moving company that not only showed up late but ill prepared, I called Ben Hur needing them to come out in less than 12 hours.

Not only were they available but the gave me a reasonable quote and were completely professional. Not only did they show up early (with an 8am call time) they were fast, professional, equipped and careful. They wrapped all my furniture and loose items and made order of all the items in each room. I then had them drive an hour, from Brooklyn to Central NJ to move items into a storage unit.

With no hesitation or additional instruction, they were off. I met them at the storage unit, simply to unlock the door. Less than 2 hours later they were done and everything was in perfect order. Truly flawless!

This was the 3rd time we'd used Ben Hur. It was great that we are in your system and were given the "Returning Customer" 10% discount and Bello actually remembered me. The movers arrived on time and were very helpful with the packing of larger fragile items. And they worked hard to unload everything and set it up as we wanted, and even when realizing that some larger furniture items would be best arranged differently than we originally instructed, they were very obliging in helping us move a few things around. I would use Ben Hur again and recommend them to anyone.

We have been using Ben Hur Self Storage for almost a year now and they have been great. I feel our belongings are secure and the price was very good. We have also used Ben Hur movers (twice) and had great experiences both times.
