I love this theater. Such a fun experience. Good bar, good snacks, fun vibe. Definitely check out the bathrooms for a laugh. Tickets are way cheaper than other local theaters. This is the best spot in town to see a movie.

One of the coolest places I have been in awhile! The bar area is comfortable, modern, very clean and very unique. Theatres are small and comfy. Staff was awesome. I can't wait to go back!

First timer and will be back! What a gem right in the heart of downtown Birmingham Al. Easy to find as its huge yellow sign sits in the window of the Pitzits food hall. Take the stairs or elevator down a leVEL and get WOWED by the hall of stars like my favorite BEYONCE. Lol I got the chance to view "EVERYTHING, Everywhere all at once" which was written and directed by a Bham, Al native: how cool is that.

This movie was hilarious yet touching. I got several messages but one that stands out is "mothers be good to your daughters, and fathers be good to daughters because they'll love like you do."

This place is an original in Birmingham. It's a movie theater that plays documentaries and independent movies. You can get drinks and gluten-free food as well as other offerings. It's very colorful and there is a lot of seating or you can just hang out. There are boardgames and artsy books. The theaters are nice and small, which I like. You can bring your drinks in with you and the seats are very comfortable and roomy. They have excellent mixed drinks!

Had to reschedule for pre-bought tickets over the weekend, no problem at all. Responsive, understanding customer service on a Saturday and Sunday. All this not to mention great pricing, the best snacks and amazing independent theatre!

The movies are some independent and limited run movies. The theatres may be small for some. They are fine for me. The parking garage attached and food court on the floor above are convenient.

The Sidewalk Theater is simply a very special gem . The comfort of the seats the intimate size make it one of the best places in Birmingham for an afternoon. The drinks and popcorn are the best and the prices are affordable. So much better than any chain.

This is my favorite type of movie theater. indie, nerdie, and intimate. Came here for a free screening of a random "really bad" movie and it was so much fun. They included a movie bingo to play along with and I actually thought the movie was decent. The concessions and drink options also seemed pretty good. I hope that they will be able to hold on through the pandemic because I really want to be able to visit again and think its location in the Pizitz is perfect. Plus, it sounded like they had a lot of fun events and programming in the works.

One of the best places in town to be sure -- the Pizitz basement. Best known for their film festival, the theater is great. A really good bar and concession stand. The documentaries are really well curated. It is worth taking a flyer and seeing something you wouldn't normally watch. They also have special events with discussion panels and other events, so get on their mailing list.
