Western Van packed and moved our 3,000 sq ft house to our new house down the street, and they did it all in one day. They sent a crew of 5 but called in a 6th in the afternoon just to make sure all the work got done. They worked hard, had good attitudes even when there were the inevitable tricky parts of the move, and got the job done before our oldest kid needed to be picked up from daycare. Thanks again, Dyllon, Leslie, Jordan, Greg, Andrew, and Quan!

The team at Western Van & Storage were responsible for delivering our belongings to our new home. Dyllon, Markell and Adam braved a typical rainy Seattle day, spending hours moving our items up a steep driveway and into our house. They were great to work with, got everything done as we asked, with nothing broken or missing. A really professional crew - thank you!

I guess it's the luck of the draw with this company. Some reviews are glowing and some, like mine, say STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! The crews at both end of our cross country move were pleasant, but the driver was rude and complained about everything. Then, the day of the unload, he shows up at my house, plops down in one of my chairs, and proceeds to tell me how sick he is (and, NO, he wasn't wearing a mask!).
One of the crew at my new house asked if they should call out item numbers as they brought everything in. The driver told them not to bother, that it didn't matter. This turned out to be ironic when I later put in a claim for some missing items and was told that they would not compensate me for them because I didn't report them missing at move in.
I asked them how I was supposed to know things were missing when I didn't get an accurate inventory? They never answered me. They destroyed more than one piece of furniture, poked holes in bookcases, bent things, lost things.it was the WORST experience ever! I put in a claim for the multiple damaged items. Their adjustor came out and verified that none were repairable.
I received a response back from Allied that they would not reimburse me my requested amount on a couple of the items because my requested amount was "unsubstantiated". I sent them additional paperwork to explain how I had come to the requested amounts and asked them to please reconsider and to contact me if they would like to discuss it further. About a week and a half later, I got a check in the mail for the lower amount.
No one ever responded to my request for reconsideration. This company cares very little about your possessions. They figure if they give you some money, they're off the hook. The problem is that my furniture (one of the pieces was a mid-century piece that can't be replaced) is gone. I also now only have 5 dining room chairs because they shattered the leg on one and it can't be fixed. The list goes on. If you have a sentimental attachment to any of your belongings, look for a different company!

We used Western Van and Storage/Allied for a cross country move, and were extremely pleased with all parts of the process. The crews showed up when they said they would, were extremely professional, and treated our possessions with care. They also kept in contact throughout the process - keeping us appraised of loading dates and when to expect delivery. Would definitely recommend them for a move of any distance!

The two members of the team I had the misfortune of encountering today are incredibly rude and unprofessional. There is no need for movers to become combative with the property manager for not being able to reserve the elevator when they are the ones who arrived four hours before their scheduled time, in the middle of another resident's elevator reservation. Also, if someone politely asks you in a neighborhood with a high crime rate not to prop the front doors open, perhaps its best not to argue and get an attitude. I will never use this company and will warn my residents at all of my residential sites not to use them either.

If I had the option to leave zero stars i would. we contacted budget van lines who Do business as National Van Lines. They started off by saying that they have a sweet deal, so you think awesome lets do it. We pay for 350 cubic square ft in which they determine through the phone or email the amount you have. The day of my move the sent another company out called western van lines who looked at our items and only to say that national van lines measurements are wrong and we need to pay 1400 more dollars for them to take what's already been paid to national van lines. national van lines doesn't care at this point because they have your deposit which is non refundable so they get paid either way.
We downsize and remove half of the items that we already paid to have moved putting us under the cubic square ft., only for western national van lines say that they really don't care about the square ft. They care about how its positioned on their truck and since he didn't like how would fit on his truck we have to pay an additional 1400 for him to take it.
They get paid either way so his quality team calls and threatens that he has to leave, so its you either pay or lose your deposit. They have very corrupt business practices and i pray a class action lawsuit will hit them hard for what they do. you are better off selling and starting over. or renting a penske truck to move your stuff.

Everyone who works here seems fine, but as a national mover they outsource to whomever exists without any regard for quality. Kind of like a moving middle man between different Allied Movers. The first walk through the guy under calculated how much stuff there was, so the movers didn't have enough people. Then the movers delayed by a day, combined with them not having enough movers, resulted in them rushing through, not bringing a big enough truck and running behind (literally moving during our sold home's final walk through).
Then they put it in 3rd party storage, and a different delivery company delivered in our new home. So, we have multiple broken pieces of furniture, a ton of missing stuff - we basically should have sold all of our furniture and just bought new furniture here. The missing stuff is heartbreaking - some items belonging to my wife's father that are irreplaceable.
I get it's just stuff, but why would they be so reckless with other peoples belongings? My company hired Western Van Lines, and it's ultimately been one of the worst experiences I've ever had as a customer. Stay away if you can, and I apologize if your company subjects you to these folks.

These guys crushed it. They worked as fast as they could to get everything moved. I was impressed with their organization and professionalism. They were self aware of being respectful to neighbors and were constantly communicating with me and others around them. Hopefully I'll never have to move again, but if I do, I'm using these guys.

An outstanding experience from beginning to end. Open lines of communication with Alondra who is fantastic and kept the entire process on track. She had the answer to every question and the solution to every issue that arose. Luther was a top notch driver and supervisor of loading and unloading. He is a total professional and a pleasure to work with. You couldn't find a better group to work with. I highly recommend them.

The owner George was very professional and cared about responding to his clients. He took time to explain the details and contract of the move. There was nothing hidden in terms of what was agreed on. His staff such as the move liaison Alondra and Talia at the front office were just as professional and friendly. The drivers/movers were also on time and professional.
I would definitely recommend this company that is associated with this Allied moving company. We moved our son's belongings after he graduated from Seattle to Southern California and it was successfully done!

Western helped me in a cross-country move years ago, so were the first company I called with another move in my future. From virtual walk-thru, estimate and scheduling to the move itself, cannot say enough about the team at Western - thanks to Talia for always being my point of coordination and to Dyllon and his team (Leslie, Greg, Quran, Chauncey and Dana) for the move itself!

The pack and load crew, Francisco, Gino, Greg and Evan, were quick and efficient. Very professional crew. My goods were in storage for just over 4 months. My furniture was delivered when stated. The unload crew, Patrick and guys again were very professional. My furniture was delivered quickly with nothing missing or broken. The entire team including Alondra and George were efficient, friendly and helpful. I hope I don't have to move again but if I do I will call Western Van and Storage!

A big thumbs down for the customer service which was extremely poor. They delayed my shipment a week on a cross country delivery and were poor at communicating. The driver was the only honest one of the bunch who said they had to rearrange East Coast deliveries and chose to push me back a week so they could make some other deliveries avoid delaying them since I was only an individual. Beware they did not cover timing of payment but require payment in full before they will drop off the household goods and then any delay or damage claims have to wait until after delivery. Their so called "guaranteed delivery" is worthless as they did not pay anything for the delay. Look elsewhere!

Consider another company! The guys packing and loading, as well as, delivery were incredible. The biggest challenge was working through the other details. The moving process across country has been a total NIGHTMARE filled with TONS of frustration. Delivery was almost a week later than anticipated, this is after speaking with the coordinator several times and her confirming that my load was close to delivery.
The crew lost my mattress (three weeks later, still no mattress - claims process is difficult to navigate), my Peloton screen was missing, I found it in one of the boxes, however, the team has yet to confirm a day time for reassemble (keep in mind, I already paid for this service). The cost of my move was over $11K, as a result, I would assume better management of the process and experience.
Communication and responses are slow and unresponsive. If you value your sanity and proper communication, use your dollars somewhere else, it's not worth the hassle working with this company!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If my review isn't enough - do more research - you will see time and time again Western Van has terrible business practices, poor customer services, and terrible shipping practices. Check out the photos for the final result. Expect hidden fees, damaged items, lost items, poor customer service, lies, and phone games. During our cross country move we were estimated at $2,000.
At pickup time the estimate went changed: * $1,000 for the amount of stuff we had * $500 for living in an apartment (should have been known at time of quote) I disappointingly acknowledged these new fees and continued with the service. We were told by pickup that our stuff would arrive 1-21 business days after our designated drop off date. Concerned about this new information, we quickly called our sales rep, who assured me 21 days is just the "legalesse" and barring bad weather our things will 100% arrive on the drop-off date.
Two days prior to drop-off, I call dispatch to get the status of our shipment. Dispatch informs me, my things haven't left the warehouse. Dispatch lets us know, by policy - WESTERN VAN WILL NOT BEGIN SHIPPING YOUR GOODS UNTIL YOUR DELIVERY DATE. Unhappy about the most recent lie I've learned I heard from dispatch, I call sales. My call is answered by Marty, who re-assures me my things will be expedited and he will inform me when my stuff will arrive.
After not hearing from Marty for over 2 days, I call him back. My call goes to voicemail, twice. Still concerned I borrow a friends phone. Marty IMMEDIATELY answers. HE SCREENED MY CALLS. After asking when Marty can get a truck for my move, he yells, "I will not magically poof your things to you". I inform Marty, I dont want a poof, I want a date that my things will be on a truck. Marty then hangs up on me.
After another 24 hours my goods are FINALLY on a truck, one day after my estimated arrival. After 3 more days, I get a 12 hour notice, my stuff will arrive the next morning. My next fee: * $500 shuttle fee, because the truck cannot get to my address (should have been known at time of quote) The driver arrives, delivers my shipment. BOXES ARE SOAKING WET, BROKEN, MISSING SIDES, and MISSING.
The driver's manifest does not correspond to the packages he delivers. 17 OUT OF 68 BOXES GO MISSING. Turns out, our driver had boxes in his cab, which he forgot about. He drove them to ANOTHER COMPANY 810 MILES AWAY, which now, 20 days later still has our boxes. The company still will not take responsibility for the missing and damaged goods.

This moving company says all of the right things about wearing masks and social distancing on their website and during phone calls before you sign on. But all movers showed up without masks and, when i provided them, kept taking them off during packing in my house. None wore gloves as requested, and they did not have shoe coverings. I have to live in this house for the next week.
Despite my repeated requests, they did not respect my health or their own. This company offers only window dressing on health protection that is belied by their poorly trained, noncompliant workers.

We had a great experience with Western Van and Storage. Upon relocating back from Seattle, our moving company from Sydney contracted with Western Van and they were great! Fronco and Gino were extremely sweet, helpful and ON IT! The entire truck was tucked away in our storage unit if 45 minutes! Western Van and Storage was also extremely organized with all documentation (including the customs docs). Really great experience!

Don't use this company. Leg of antique tack chair broken off. Cigar Store stature scratched and dented. Finish on antique dining table ruined. Dents in antique dining chair. Dent in top of book shelf. Kandinsky print ruined. Motor oil stains on two mattresses (means they leaned the mattresses on either side of a lawn mower). Refuses to offer any compensation other then $0.60/ lbs of item.
This wont pay for repairs. In addition. loading crew became angry with me. Unloading crew blamed me for the damage. Move coordinator did not acknowledge any responsibility, extend any sympathy for damages and was tardy in responding to me.

Thanks Kent (WA) Western Van & Storage. My entire shipment delivery was flawless! My shipment (4 Lift-Vans, L/Vs) were shipped from Saudi Arabia to Seattle Port in late Dec 2015. It reached Seattle around March 2016. The entire shipment was cleared and stored in climate controlled facility in Kent, WA. All without me doing anything. After 3 yrs & 9 months, I contacted Western Van (Kent, WA) to arrange for everything to be shipped to my new home in Cypress, CA.
Western Van (Kent, WA) agent, Mr. George Pena, arranged for the transfer. I met him personally on August 22, 2019. He was very cordial and professional. After 3 yrs & 9 months, I finally met with Western Van staff, with whom I had telecon on several occasions. They were all very professional. The transfer were flawless. All shipment boxes were taken out of the L/Vs in Kent, WA, re-inventoried against the original list and loaded onto the trailer.
The driver (Robert, an ex-marine who had spent some time in Saudi Arabia during the 1st Gulf War. Such a gentleman) showed up in Cypress, reviewed the place logistically, then came back later, on the same day, with a smaller truck, as my 55+ community's road is kinda small. They unloaded all the boxes from the trailer to the smaller truck. They placed drop clothes to protect my floor, and worked non-stop to unload all items, a few of which needed to be unpacked. ALL ITEMS WERE PROPERLY ACCOUNTED FOR! The experience was no doubt THE BEST! Thanks Western Van, Kent WA staff in particular, for executing my shipment delivery FLAWLESSLY!

We had a FANTASTIC experience with Western Van - and who can really say that when it comes to a move?! An out of state one at that, too! First of all, this was a corporate move. We were assigned Talia as our point of contact and she was very kind, kept us in the loop in a timely manner on everything we needed to know, and was very detail-oriented. I'm super health conscious and she knew the most important detail was to have non-smoking movers at pack/load (which was outsourced) and at the unload (Western Van) and she made sure that happened.
The crew that did our pack/load was outsourced to a local Denver company (Bailey's Moving - see my previous review on them) and she found a phenomenal crew to take care of that! The unload with Western Van was also a phenomenal experience. We worked with Demetrius and I don't remember the other gentleman's name, but they were both very awesome at what they do.
They unloaded all of our furniture and boxes in 2 hours flat - they were fast but meticulous. I appreciated that they made sure all boxes and other items were in the exact place we needed them to be (they checked in with us often to confirm placements) - that really helped us when we went to unload and organize. Plus, they were courteous and had great personalities.
I cannot comment on prices as again, this was a corporate move, but if I ever need moving services again I would definitely use this company. Thank you for a fantastic experience, Western Van!

Moving is hard but Western Van and Storage makes it much easier. From the estimate to the materials drop off to the days of packing and loading, this team has been prompt, professional, careful and considerate. Special thanks to my pack and load crew (Dyllon, Q, Doug, Shawn, Dana) and the fearless driver, Richard. I feel calm watching my stuff drive off!

Worth every penny. We moved locally on the East-Side of Seattle. These guys did the best job! They showed up on time, worked really hard, and made my life much easier in a stressful time (selling and buying a new house). They took great care of all my furniture and nothing was damaged. I was really nervous about not hurting the new house and they did an awesome job.
They put rug protectors down and the hardwoods were protected as well. The best part was the move went under what they had estimated it would take so I was able to save a little money. If I ever have to move again I will definitely use Western Van and Storage.

After George Pena provided his estimates, we were turned over to Debbie. The only time she was responsive is when she wanted a payment from us. I was extremely disappointed when she said she would call us with information on a specific date, and we did not hear from her. Over the next few days, I left messages on her voicemail. She finally called us back, and asked me why I had called.
She admitted that she didn't listen to the voicemails. What kind of customer service is this? We were jacked around with delivery dates. The driver was very rude when I asked questions during the delivery. His unloading team were so rushed and could not wait to get to their next job. How can a customer be expected to sign paperwork that attested that all items arrived and were not broken before they were even opened up? I would not recommend this company. I was far happier with PODS, who were cheaper, and more reliable with their delivery dates.

Francisco, Dave & Matt came on time for 6/8/2019 moving. I can see the teamwork among the three of them. They seemed to enjoy each other in the work place. Dave & Matt made friends with my Pomeranian; and this stopped her from barking. We were impressed with their service, professionalism and positive attitude. All of them displayed high level of courteousness & they were accommodating. Job was completed on time even though we, the homeowners, were not quite ready for them.

Worst moving experience of my life. Their crew stole our video game consoles, several guns, (which we got no compensation for) and broke insane amounts of stuff by throwing breakables in boxes with no padding. Half our furniture was destroyed. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. Horrible people.

The actual packers and movers were very personable and efficient. Having said that, they did break the glass side panels of my china hutch. The movers assured me the company would replace the glass. After several calls to Shelley, I still have no new glass. I even had a different set of movers come and move some heavy pieces from my house to the garage.
At a minimum charge of $115 per hour. It took them 10 minutes! I think I more than paid for the new glass. VERY DISAPPOINTED and upset that they did not honor their obligation.

When we first spoke with George and Debbie about receiving a quote for our move both were incredibly responsive. During our facetime consultation, we were thrilled when George claimed to be available at times for his customers, stating even nights and weekends he'd answer texts or calls. What he didn't say is that he would always be available until you commit to his services and your check clears.
Once we put down a deposit both Debbie and George became incredibly difficult to get ahold of, which was problematic when trying to coordinate a move, not to mention nerve wrecking. During our consultation we told George that we were unsure if we would be taking a few bulky items. He told us that once we decided we could adjust the inventory list and the price would come down a bit because the cost is based on weight and size. Weeks before the move we tried to contact George and Debbie and after multiple attempts to connect, Debbie finally answered.
When we informed her that we needed to remove multiple large/bulky items from our she told us that because the moving truck had already been assigned we wouldn't be able to do so. This was very unfortunate since George knew we were on a budget and assured us we would be able to do so. The move out of our apartment started off rocky when the movers showed up and had no idea that we had paid for them to provide boxes for our TV's and large picture frames.
We were charged $433 for 12 boxes and because the moving company was not prepared, we did not receive all them and were never offered a refund. We even ended up having to take a TV with us because they didn't have a box for it. The move out was fine otherwise. However, during the move in it was nearly impossible to inventory our items because the movers that moved us out mislabeled almost everything.
We also received about 15 additional items/boxes that weren't even on the inventory list. Luckily, to the best of our knowledge, everything seemed to have arrived with the exception of the power cords to all 3 of our TVs. Lastly, we were told that if our move came in under weight we would be refunded. No one ever communicated what the weight of our move was (we are confident we came in under weight since we removed several bulk items from the inventory prior to the move).
Multiple attempts to connect with Debbie for a final invoice for tax purposes and a final weight have still gone unanswered, which is unfortunate seeing as we may be owed money back. ***UPDATE*** Within hours of writing this review not only did Debbie follow up with a passive aggressive email reply where she found it necessary to draw attention to a simple typo I had made in the subject line (I put "movie invoice" rather than "move invoice"), but George also took it upon himself to send me a rather unprofessional message from his personal yelp account in response to this review. This further proves my 2 star rating of the overall experience.
Richard and his crew were fantastic! They quickly and efficiently packed us up and got us on the road! They took great care of our household goods and ensured everything was to our liking. Talia has been an excellent coordinator as well, relentless in getting us what we need, when we need it. Thank you guys so much!
