This company moved my daughter and were amazing! She was unorganized and they just took over. They came with plenty of supplies to get the move done quickly and carefully. They were very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I have moved too many times to count and dealt with many moving companies and these guys are THE BEST. They are more than willing to assist with anything and as able to follow through with their commitments. Yes, it's COVID days, things go wrong, employees don't show up suddenly, but the wonderful Sheas did not leave me hanging, Brian did most of the move on his own (no easy feat when it's a third floor walk up), and Julie helped with the seriously heavy stuff.

By 10 PM the move was done, a little later than expected and with warmth, caring and friendliness above and beyond any movers I have known. Thank you both for the great vibes you brought to my new home.

This local Jackson Heights company moved my family of four in the middle of a pandemic with efficiency. I'm sure it want but they made it look easy. The guys were friendly and professional and took great care of our furniture.

I didn't manage to go with this company in the end as their dates were full, but I highly recommend them. They're incredibly friendly yet professional, some of the nicest people I've met. Open to negotiations and discussions on what works and what doesn't, and knowledgeable too.

They moved me from Brooklyn to Queens today, and the experience was as good as it could be for moving. I requested extra packing help, and they finished within an hour and a half. All of my stuff arrived safely and quickly. It was as seamless an experience as it could be. Their reputation is well deserved. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We're late in posting this. But this crew was amazing! I would never hesitate to recommend or hire them again. Attention to detail, friendly service, amazing logistical competency (imagine one man carrying a huge chest on his back, down the stairs, secured with one thin rope!). Absolutely incredible in everything they handled. We only moved two blocks but we had ten years and two kids worth of stuff. I feel like they were incredibly well priced for the experience we got. 5 stars, of course.

So you probably already know that moving is basically the worst thing you can ever do. I've moved a bunch of times in the past ten years, so I'm pretty used to it, but it's still horrible. But I'm so glad I hired Shea this time, because they made it a lot more pleasant. Seriously, these guys are great. We have a ton of stuff, including around six zillion books, and Brian and his crew were totally efficient and professional in getting all our stuff to the new place.

They showed up right on time and they were finished just when they said they would be. They also stuck to the estimate, which I really appreciated, and their prices are totally reasonable (last mover I hired cost literally $1000 more). And there wasn't a single thing broken, which was sort of a miracle because to be honest, I'm not a very good packer so other moves have finished with broken stemware and so on. Also, everyone was very friendly, and Brian looked out for his crew, which I thought was super cool. So yeah, you should hire these guys. Thanks, Shea Moving!

This company is great. They came and looked at my home. I got a flat rate. They were on time, efficient, and worked quickly. They stood by their quote even though I am sure there were things I forgot to show them during the walk through. They made my out of state move painless. They were a pleasure to work with and the cherry on top was that their prices were reasonable.

You can trust them for expensive designer furniture. I have never used moving companies before, I am in property management and usually we do our own moving for other people. But this time it was my own belongings, $25,000+ worth of furniture all newly purchased. I was extremely nervous about this move. Moving inexpensive lightweight furniture is not the same thing as moving high-end designer furniture.

I conducted online research looking for companies that can handle expensive furniture moving, searching on Yelp, Google and other recommendation communities. I went one by one through each negative person's reviews before I narrowed my search to Shea moving and another company. Yes Shea wasn't the cheapest, but the family business with legit moving team really was worth spending a few extra bucks. Thank you Brian and Julie!

Great experience with these guys. Talked the most with Jed in person, but my husband communicated with Julie during the scheduling process. Very organized, very prompt. They were quick in wrapping up our large items, no scratches or dragging on the hard wood floors, and it was a second floor walk up -- so it was a little extra work involved. When we got to our new place, they were equally efficient in moving our furniture inside after we told them where we wanted things to go.

They moved our beds to the second floor. Here and there they had some trouble with tight corners, going up the front steps to the front door, but they never complained or made comments. Would recommend!

I have moved almost too many times to count and this has been the most pleasant experience I've had with movers. Julie made the office end of things seamless and quick and her excellent group of movers did the exact same on the physical side of it. Moving from a 5th floor walkup to a 4th floor walkup the guys were cheery, chatty and super efficient.

I went a bit over my original budget, but the job was pure quality and -- god forbid -- I should have to move again, I will be calling Julie in a heartbeat. Ten out of ten, thank you guys so much!

I will never call anyone else if I ever have to go through the horror that is moving again. From the first visit with Brian, he assessed our stuff accurately and provided both an hourly estimate and a flat rate to Julie's friendliness and helpfulness over the phone. When our house purchase and sale went all wrong, Shea was one of the bright spots out of an awful experience all around.

They didn't penalize us for canceling/postponing. They helped however they could, were patient, and their crews were nothing but professionals. Our 1 day simple move from house to house turned into a scrambled, messy ordeal that got dragged out into 2 days of moving into 2 storage pod units, (with atypical snow!) and an ultimate move-in to our new house 3 weeks later. Lyndell, Dave Ortiz, and Seth were absolute rock stars. Ortiz played the best game of Tetris into the 2 storage pod units I've ever seen.

He packed those things within an inch to the ceiling. It was seriously amazing. They're a family owned business, which I appreciated. The crew told us how they are treated like family which is admirable. Their credentials with insurance, D.O.T., etc. all checked out in my research, etc. I've recommended them several times since and I will continue to do so. Here's hoping I never have to move again, but if I do, I'm calling Shea.

I used Shea when moving apartments in my building. Shea came highly recommended from a co-worker who used them for their recent move and they did not disappoint. From the initial conversation to the move itself, everything was great. I could not have asked for a better experience. We had a couch that had to be moved via the stairs since it could not fit in the elevator.

Other moving companies gave us a hard time about this but not Shea. The guys had it up the stairs in no time with no additional cost. I will definitely be using Shea for my next move!

Julie at Shea Moving is one of the best when it comes to customer service. She'll answer all your questions, follow up, and discuss costs. She's super nice, as is Anna, in helping plan your move and making recommendations should it not work out. The move itself took awhile which surprised me but I was glad I went with a flat rate for Shea moving.

The movers were very friendly, nothing was broken, and they were considerate of my items. Again, a great local business and I'd recommend and use them again. Moving is never easy so it helps when you're dealing with professionals and friendly ones at that.

Amazing! My husband and I recently moved to the DC area, and wanted to make sure we got professional and excellent movers. Brian was extremely professional, friendly, and knew what he was doing! A rarity in the moving industry. Cost was also fair. The movers were on time and even arrived early at our new place ready to go. Couldn't be happier. Will definitely try and use them for future moves (if possible!).
