Ray The Mover

Ray the Mover and his crew were fantastic. They are neat, organized and efficient and arrived on time and over protected our things. I have never seen such hard working and organized individuals who are also kind and considerate. I highly recommend them to anyone making a move in SW Florida.

Everything about this experience of moving from FL to IA was made easy by everyone I dealt with at every stage, from the estimate to the men who brought my things to the 4th floor of my new condo. I felt the service was worth the price paid.

We were beyond thrilled with all aspects of our move, from the initial "Guaranteed Not to Exceed" estimate (the only company of seven to give us something other than an estimate that could go up significantly), to the final move into our storage unit 4 hours away. Jose, Walter and Joel packed out our 3100 sq foot house in just about five hours, and they couldn't have been friendlier, more professional, or more accommodating while they were doing it.

We had a color-coded system in place, and they not only picked up on it immediately, they enthusiastically supported it throughout the evolution. We didn't have many requests, but those we did they responded to happily. They were extremely careful with all our belongings, and they left the house in great shape despite the obvious disruption. The next day, Jose, Joel and Gene (Jean?) came to load our HHG into the truck.

They were done in exactly two hours! WAY quicker than we would have guessed. We hit Jose with a last-minute request to allow us to affix inventory numbers to all the boxes, and he happily accommodated the request, altering the order of goods going into the truck to allow us time to finish our inventory. Again, the three gentlemen could not have been more professional as they carried out their responsibilities. Jose made sure we had his number and he reviewed the plans for drop off to our storage unit the following day, so there would be no surprises. which we REALLY appreciated.

The unloading process was flawless too. I was active duty military for 33 years, and this is move number 12 for us. so we've had some experience with this maneuver. This has been the absolute BEST all-around experience with a moving crew that we've had! And this is the FIRST one I'm actually paying for, so that's saying something!

I told Jose several times this has been about as stress-free a move as is possible. If I needed to move again in this area, I wouldn't even get several quotes - Ray the Mover gets it, hands down!

It was a very short move and the guys who did the work were super. I was very disappointed to learn that although we were assured [and paid for] all upholstered items were to be shrink wrapped, NONE of them were. We brought this attention to the sales person right after the move but to date [2 months now] no reply.

From start to finish - quote, pickup, storage and final delivery the process was seamless. Good communication, good packers and no lost items or damage.

This is how all movers should do business. Stephanie came out to my house, walked through and gave me a detailed estimate based on my actual stuff. No surprises. The estimate was very reasonable. I was sent a detailed contract to sign, so I knew that they would actually show up. On the day of the move, the movers were efficient, respectful and nice.

Shout out to Robert, Jesus and one other guy whose name I have forgotten. Three guys were very efficient and the packing and the unpacking the next day went very smooth. This was a very low stress move. Thank you!

While moving my parents from Florida during a pandemic was a traumatic experience, working with the staff at Ray the Mover made things so much easier. From start to finish, staff answered questions promptly - in particular, Chris was easy and friendly to work with. My parents had a lot of questions and they always had the answers. They contracted vehicle transport for us, confirmed final details with us several times and on the day of, moving staff were actually a bit early.

All of the movers were cheerful and hard working, and I should add extremely professional with how our larger furniture and fragile items were packaged and moved. Big shout out to Ted, who was on both ends of the move (Florida to Ohio). Just a great manager all around. He even came back after they were finished to help us locate something important to my dad. And nothing was lost or broken. So glad to have used Ray the Mover, would recommend highly.

Stephanie helped plan our move with efficiency and professionalism, and Shawn and his team executed the plan to perfection. We had a move from CA and FL to Texas. Ray the Mover coordinated all the details and made everything from across the country arrive within a few days of each other. Not a single thing was broken and all the movers were very professional. I cannot say enough about the detailed coordination and the accurate pricing. I spoke with multiple movers and these guys were the best. You need to be careful as lots of movers quote you a very low price but that does not hold up and some of the folks they hire leave something to be desired.

Two men arrived on time and went to work. Our short move included some fine furniture. They were very careful. As far as we know, nothing ever was damaged or missing. I would use them again! Service: Senior move

We had to change our moving date 3 times. Each time, Michelle could not have been nicer, and was very helpful in finding dates that would work for us. We were very concerned that the van would not be able to make it to our driveway for delivery, but Nick the driver, did an amazing job of backing up a long street. Nick also did an excellent job of managing our loading and unloading. We had no issues, and were very satisfied with our move.

Wow! I used this company to move from Florida to Massachusetts and was mostly happy. From the man who set everything up for me to the support from movers to Massachusetts. Everything arrived in perfect shape, and delivery on Massachusetts end was perfect! I dropped one star because the person who picked up my boxes in Florida wore a mask for a while, but would not accept another one from me when it came time to sign paperwork. Covid is real. It's part of the reason I moved to Massachusetts, where masks are mandated. No one has approached my new home without a mask.

Ray the movers have been moving for us two times a year for the last three years. They are careful, conscientious on-time, and value priced. They're fully insured and keep to their commitments. We have had other movers doing our moving, but I have to say that the people at Ray are head and sholders better in every way.

I am a very picky consumer and expect excellent service. Raul and his team certainly exceeded my expectations. They were very professional, conscientious, and paid careful attention to my furniture and not hitting or breaking everything! Five stars all the way!

We cannot say enough about the team that moved us from Florida to Western North Carolina. Professionalism was the theme from our initial contact to our parting goodbye. There was prompt follow-up by the front office to the request for an estimate. The estimate was coordinated with our time needs and sensitivity to the COVID-19 issues. There was courteous and prompt follow-up response to our changing needs throughout the pre-move process. Packing day was easy and efficient (for us). I used this company yesterday for a move from a condo to a home. They arrived early, were professional and friendly, and had everything moved out of the condo and into the home in 3 1/2 hours! No scratches or dents on anything. Great company. I would recommend. Thank you!

Ray The Mover co-ordinated my move from California to NH. I can't say enough good things. The same driver took my load from CA to NH. Everything was handled professionally and packed so that everything was in tact safe and sound once back in NH. Price was very reasonable and communication was A+! He seemed like a really nice guy! When the owner of the company came to my house to do an estimate I got a really good feeling about him. I trusted his judgement, I SHOULD NOT HAVE! He explained the 2 large TV's must be crated and the crates were $75. I agreed and he sent me a quote. His quote was about the same as the other 2 I received, I went with him.

On moving day I left my husband at the old house and I went ahead to the new house. When the truck was being unloaded, the 2 TV's came out wrapped in moving blankets and duct tape. I didn't think much about it, moving day was very hectic. Since the living room TV was being hung on the wall, the movers kindly said they would leave it wrapped in the blanket and we could even keep the blanket.

The next day when we went to unwrap the TV, we found that is was completely shattered and the whole front was smashed. I think the movers new it was smashed. When I called the owner to discuss the matter he asked me to fill out a claim form, I did, I also told him the TV wasn't crated as discussed, he sent me a check for $60.00, 60 cents/lb for a 100 lb TV, for a TV that we had to replace with a $1200 TV.

I asked him to reconsider the settlement, he never responded. I looked closely at the quote he sent me, he never included the TV crates which he said were mandatory. I missed that on the quote, I guess I should not have put so much trust in him. So legally, he didn't owe me anything more than the $60, ethically, he could have split the cost with me and taken some responsibility for the damage. The move cost me $1200 more than I expected!

Ray the Mover moved a substantial amount of household goods for us from Florida to our North Carolina home. This company is an exceptional one and I believe one of the best we have ever encountered. Their driver Billy went way beyond the norm in moving things into our home, putting sliders under our chairs and tables that were missing. This company deserves five starts.

Ray the Mover was outstanding. The two men who did our move, Billy and Fidel were truly wonderful. They were willing to set up all furniture where we wanted and would even move it around in different positions until i found the perfect spot. I have heard of other moving companies just dropping off your stuff in the garage and taking off but these movers were truly incredible. NOTHING BROKE!

They were courteous, gracious, professional and just so wonderful. They made our move so much easier and less stressful. If we ever move again in the future or if someone else needs a mover i will absolutely be recommending ray the mover and especially Billy and Fidel!

I'm long overdue in reviewing this company. I couldn't have asked for a more professional and thoughtful group of guys who successfully helped us empty out and pack my Mom's items. We had just returned from being out of the country and we were literally notified to move her items out of the unit while driving in our car 10 hours to another destination so as you can imagine the planning and details of this move was more than tumultuous and mostly done over the phone and long distance with the owner.

Even though we had to change the moving date more than once and had absolutely no idea how much was going to be packed, stored or thrown away, the owner and staff of this company kept a calm and professional manner throughout. In addition, they handled our items with kit gloves; even the items that were clearly going to be trashed they took care of with respect and kindness as they were my 93 year old Mom's belongings. Items packaged by their staff arrived unblemished. It's unfortunate to hear others had a bad experience with this company.

I have moved many times throughout the course of my life and Ray The Mover is the first and only company I would recommend or bother to post a review. There are many moving companies to choose from; we are so grateful we picked the right one! They have been around since 1981; there is a reason for that!

Ray The Mover was exemplary in all facets of my relocation: 1) the quoted price was reasonable, competitive and guaranteed. 2) the estimate window for pick-up and delivery was well spaced and tight. 3) pick-up was on time and efficient. The assigned crew was the right number. 4) delivery was extremely quick and, once again, efficient. 5) there was no damage whatsoever. 6) perhaps most impressive was the communication throughout the entire process.
