The entire team from the time we received the initial quote until final delivery and setup was great. Rick was awesome. He made the move simple and the costs were reasonable. The packing and unpacking team was also courteous and pleasant to work with. Services: Furniture assembly, Moving-related storage, Local moving, Moving-related packing

Rick Ferguson the manager was easy to talk with and extremely accessible whenever I wanted to discuss anything. Scheduling was easy, and the two movers who came to move our things were pleasant, polite, and helpful, as well as efficient. I used this company both to move and to store my things, both of which operations seemed to go well. I would use them in the future for further moves, definitely. (I give them four stars, only because I just never give five stars. As my experience grows with this company, I may upgrade it to five stars!)

Great experience from beginning to end. Rick got me out of a bind by getting me a next day move after another local company came in and quoted 2.5 times the amount originally provided on the phone. When I questioned pricing they just left without saying anything. Imagine my dismay-- with an apartment packed up and ready to move at the end of the month and no movers.
After calling several places, Rick had a cancellation. Next day, in comes the Dynamic Duo -Kevin and Dave! They moved me from a 2nd floor to 3rd floor and did it quickly and efficiently. Both had great personalities, which certainly helped. Can't say enough good things! Thanks to the entire team!

Terrific experience from initial discussion with Rick to discuss the project to the execution. Movers were polite and early! Were very careful with our items and continually conferred with us to make sure they were meeting our needs. I would definitely use again if I, heaven forbid, move again. I will refer others moving as a result of our amazing experience.

Our crew: Dave, Robbie, and Kevin did a wonderful job on our move. They were especially careful with the antique pieces, the grandfather clock, and the piano. Everything made the trip in great shape- no damage of any kind. An unexpected shower left our patio furniture soaked, and rather than risk water damage to the rest of the load, they made an extra trip immediately after unloading the first load to bring the wet load. In spite of it all, they actually came in under the estimate, saving me about $80. I'd gladly recommend A Local Van Moving & Storage to anyone looking for good service.

I had a local move recently that was last minute. This company is fantastic from start to finish. They set me up right away with two days notice and the person who scheduled me over the phone was very friendly and professional so I felt confident that things would go smoothly. They go based by time of the total move rather than by room, boxes, etc. with a very reasonable rate and should you go over on time, you know up front what the cost will be hourly beyond that.
The movers showed up within the time frame promised, called me 30 minutes before arrival. They brought an enormous truck and they were very friendly and handled everything with care from my furniture to my valuables, to my beloved bike. When they were finished moving me in to my new place, I signed off on the bill which was exactly as quoted and they were on their way.
I've now unpacked everything and it was in top notch condition. Cannot say enough good about this experience and I will be letting everyone know that they should use A Local Van Moving and Storage for any moving needs! Extremely impressed, thank you so much for making a stressful task much easier!

We used A Local Van for moving from Louisville to New England. From the time that Rick came to do the estimate at my home to the last box that the two movers dropped off on our second floor walk-up (in the rain), it was a great experience. Rick was very patient and took the time to address all my concerns in a timely and polite manner. He also worked with our tight schedule and had his crew come over one day early to pack so we could meet our deadlines.
The two crew members that he sent were also excellent. Very careful with our things - one truck load, one thousand miles, zero items broken. When we unpacked everything, it was clear that these pros had taken the time and energy to pack and wrap things carefully. Their prices were extremely fair, and the fact that they did the entire move themselves and did not sub-contract out to national carrier lines, made the expense worth it. I highly recommend this company and would use them again in the future if I could!
