2 nd time we used them and they did a great job! The drivers are very good at collecting and taping all the parts that go with items ex: screws for bed frames etc.

Fast, efficient, courteous, professional, their service was just First Class! The foreman Jose Luis ran the team like a well-oiled machine. Best moving experience ever! Was so fortunate to get these guys, outstanding service even though they squeezed me in last minute. I would recommend them to anyone. THANK YOU!

Moishe self storage is THE way to go! Cynthia, in their admin department, was very kind and patient explaining all the different options to me. I ended up going with a 5x10x8, which included a free pick up! The moving team was so efficient; Eric, Keyon, and Will were so kind as well. Access to storage is simple and easy and staff is very willing to help you while you're figuring out how to best use the space you've got. Cris, Wayne and Curtis did a great job fitting a great deal of my stuff into a Uhaul that was too small for the apartment I had (which was my fault for reserving a Uhaul that was not large enough. Normally Moishe's will provide a truck, but I insisted on renting my own Uhaul for other reasons). Despite the challenges of the situation, they were very patient and accommodating and thoughtful in helping me decide on solutions. Also very quick.

We went with Moishe's for a long distance move from NYC to the DC area and I can't say we had the best experience. Here's the high level summary. Pros: * Detailed quote. We had an in person quote and received an itemized tally the same day. This was a lot better of an experience than we had with several other moving companies that just gave a hand wavy number. * Competitive price (at least compared to nationwide moving services). * Responsive customer service team.

There were quite a few hiccups in this move and I did appreciate that our long distance move coordinator (Jada) definitely seemed invested in helping us resolve our issues. * Good packing / pick up on the NYC side. The team arrived on time and packed everything up quickly and professionally. They needed very little direction and the whole thing went very smoothly. Cons * They guaranteed that our items would arrive within a 7 day window but then there was a delay so we ended up getting our items later than the window period.

This caused a pain on our side since our schedules weren't as open the following week and we didn't receive notice that our items were arriving until the day before (and we had a conflict). They couldn't change the date so I ended up having to coordinate my personal appointments around this. On the flip though, our move coordinator Jada was very nice in handling this, but this is still something that really shouldn't have happened to start with. * They were going to charge us more than the original rate (until I asked further).

Since our original quote was based off of move volume, my husband and I moved out a 9 foot uhaul's worth of stuff ourselves in order to try to bring down the final price. However, when I asked about the final price they told us that it was the same as the original quote which was surprising since we had basically moved a truck full of stuff ourselves.

Upon further pressing they admitted that the final total was actually lower but it felt very dishonest to me that they tried to overcharge me. Since volume is quite hard to estimate (at least for the once-every-few-years-mover like myself). I was left feeling pretty suspicious of the final number even now. * The team dropping off the items were clearly contractors that had no affiliation with Moishe's.

One was a local helper and seemed pretty inexperienced. My guess is that the person they hired to drive and move the items from NYC hired a taskrabbit on the other side to unload. The helper didn't seem very professional or experienced and they assembled our recliner incorrectly multiple times. Eventually we had to reassemble the recliner ourselves.

In addition, the driver kept pressuring me to sign off on the items even though there were items missing on the checklist. I wanted to first do a count and unwrap some of the items to double check. He kept insisting that he can't start to unwrap until I've signed which didn't make sense. After I refused to sign, he checked the truck again and found two more items left on the truck which didn't inspire much confidence. * Broken items.

We had several items that were definitely treated less than delicately during the move, however I think the one we're most disappointed about is our 75 samsung flatscreen which is now broken. We've moved this TV ourselves several times and never had an issue so I'm definitely disappointed that it broke this time with professional movers Overall, between the shady final numbers, drop off unprofessionalism, and damaged items I can't recommend Moishe's for a long distance move.

From the consultation on my move to the crew carefully wrapping every piece of furniture to avoid damage, this was a wonderful moving experience. The price was affordable and actually below what other companies quoted me.

The crew was wonderful and very helpful. I had to move an entire apartment of furniture into a house that I have lived in for 25 years. They were very professional and wrapped everything to prevent damage.

Terrible customer service! I had my belongings moved out of my apartment, moved into storage, and then moved into a new apartment all with Moishe's. Somewhere in that process, Moishe's lost two of the feet to my bed frame and stained (grease stains and unidentifiable stains) and put holes in my couch. Things happen, but when I started the claims process (after paying additional for insurance while my belongings were in storage), Moishe's customer service has dragged it out for nearly a month with no explanation, poor responsiveness, and no customer satisfaction whatsoever for having damaged my belongings. Moving is never fun and I understand that things happen, but Moishe's has made it all a much bigger hassle!

My move went as smoothly as it could possibly go. All the bad reviews seem to be about storage, however I highly recommend the moving service. The moving guys were extremely careful, packed fragile items extremely well, and helped me re-configure the bedroom multiple times. these guys were great!

My wife and I chose Moishe's to move us out of an apartment, into a storage unit and Anthony, Antwan, and Deonte (unsure of spelling) went above and beyond, handling our items with care and reassuring us that everything would fit in its destination. And it did! We appreciate their hard work and professionalism, especially on a summer holiday.

Between the damage, missing boxes & the overcharging I really don't know where to begin. This company has no regard for your personal items. My long distance move has been a disaster.

Highly recommended. Professional, arrived on time, well organized, very impressed with the way they coordinated and packed everything to fit in my storage space. I was so happy with my move. Starting from the customer service team Jeremy and Michael to the moving Chabour and team were great. Glad I chose Moishe's. The team was just wonderful to work with and very efficient. They reached around 8:00 am and were done packing and moving by about 10:00 am. Then everything was basically unpacked at the destination by 11:30 am. Saved me money.

Their packing skills was commendable. They had a whole system starting from diving the work, covering and taping. Moving the items to the hallways after packing everything and then moving it to the truck. Not to mention the best part was they were really fast! They really knew what they were doing. I have used another company before so comparing Moishe's to that I was definitely happy with the skills and the way the team presented themselves in the uniform and their way of talking and respect.

Thank you again for all your help. Appreciate your professionalism and the manner of the company with handling the customer from start to finish. I have already recommended multiple people and will definitely be using you guys for all future moves.

The damage they create is larger than the fee it costs to move. They cracked our marble dining table (they were rolling it on the floor - by amateurs) paintings scratched and damaged, console edges roughed up, side table glass broke. I am trying to get a damage claim done by them, they (Bashkim Spahi), they are not responsive, have to follow-up continuously and nothing is getting done.

They are not taking responsibility for any damage (damage of a couple of thousand dollars), not taking the claims serious and make you feel you are just left with all your damaged furniture. Hope this helps in your search to a moving company.

I used Moishe to move from manhattan to Brooklyn. Overall was a great experience, nothing was damaged in our move. We were quoted the arrival time at 3 pm but I got a text at 12 pm. I called the office and they were very responsive to let them know to come later. I would recommend to anyone.

Items were STOLEN by the staff! Tools were stolen by moving staff during a move-in, in Jersey City. The claims department refuses to assist if footage of the theft was not recorded. Be carful with this moving company, keep an eye on the employees during the move at all times. See attached photo of employee holding Dewalt power tools in his left hand which they removed from interior that they did not come with.

All around great experience! Put in what I was looking for on their website, spoke with an agent the next day, got a quote + the third month free. They're very upfront about their pricing and were super friendly. Texted me when on the way, had all my stuff packed before I was even done signing the paperwork. Thank you to the movers and Jami for making this so painless!

This was my first time using a moving company. They were responsive from the moment I reached out for an estimate to moving day. It was a bit on the pricier side (1.4k), but I did move my 750sqf one bedroom from Jersey City to Long Branch. The only thing that kept this from being a 5 star review was one of the movers used my bathroom multiple times to go #2. Listen, I know when you got to go, you got to go, but still-I felt that aspect was super unprofessional. Other than that, I would use Moishe's again!

I rarely rate but I must make exception! Amazing job by your crew today! Do yourself a favor, pricing is important but quality trumps price. And pricing was affordable too! Totally recommend 100 percent! I can't thank you guys enough! Patti Johnson

Moishe's Moving is the single most abysmal, incompetent and completely uncaring company with which I have ever worked. I hired them to move my belongings just 2 blocks in Manhattan. The movers were so incompetent a second team was dispatched to help. The six movers all proved incompetent. They succeeded in causing over $10,000 in damage; including ripping the arm off my couch (value $6,000.00), breaking 2 floor standing lamps, breaking the frames and glass of 2 valuable painting, they left behind my Coffee Table valued at $1,200.00.

The movers took some photos and said they would file a claim. When I called I was told there were no photos so I couldn't file a claim. Irresponsible, dishonest, and completely uncaring.

Finally throwing out the $5,000 worth of books that Moishe's ruined and refused to accept responsibility for, AVOID MOISHE'S MOVING!

Broken and lost items. Clothing treated like trash. 30 inch boxes filled with glass with bottom items destroyed. Crew members who never did packing before. The worst company i had the bad luck to come across. If you think your goods are trash call moishe's. Up to you if you want to trust the 1 star or 5 star reviews Update: for hundreds of dollars in damage they offered $30 as the insurance pays by total weight. If i could give them 0 stars.

Well I guess this is what we get for not listening to Yelp reviews to begin with. The 1 star is because we need to select a rating. We chose Moishe's for our move and storage. After leaving our furniture and belongings in Moishe's care for about two months, we moved and took our things out of storage to find that nearly everything we gave them came back filthy, damaged, or missing. Moishe's will not even cover the costs of replacing the missing bed pieces. If you're planning on moving or putting your things into storage, there are 100s of other options and I'd happily recommend any of them over using Moishe's.

We used Moishe's for a move & store and then move in at a later date. On the day of our move, we had to constantly explain to the movers to take care of items as they were packing them horribly with no care at all. When we moved in, it became clear how badly they were packed and handled. One of our sonos speakers was STOLEN by the crew. The marble top to our dining table was shattered (clearly) and never showed up for our move in.

Glass for a table top was shattered. Our record player was broken beyond repair. All 8 of our dining chairs were damaged and one of the seat cushions didn't show up. A lounge chair had the cushion torn. Ceramic planters didn't show up - again assume they were shattered. A box of kitchen items didn't show up. Our mattress and box spring were filthy as they were not wrapped properly and shoved into storage.

We had a lot of other breaks - all which were avoidable had the moving team actually shown any care or moved anything with any thought. The list goes on and on and on. And the customer service. TERRIBLE. Avoid Moishe's. At all costs.

So pleased with our moving experience with Moishe's! All movers worked very efficiently and carefully. Travis and his team were so great to work with. I highly recommend!

I used Moishe's twice to move within the last 6 months. I really think they are great. First time we moved with Steven and his 4 person crew from NY to NJ and had to transport our stuff to 2 places (apartment and storage). Second time, we had to move our stuff from storage and apartment to another place. Benito and 4 other people arrived on time, introduced themselves, and started working right away.

They worked really hard! I had to remind them to eat and drink. Anything I asked, they did it with a smile. They disassemble and assembled furniture. They wrapped everything with protective blankets during the move. They were very careful and respectful of the walls when they moved large pieces of furniture. I'm really happy that we used Moshe's Moving company during our move! I would highly recommend them.

Moishes is the worst. They only sent us three movers instead of four, and they packed up things they were not supposed to touch. I told them furniture and heavy objects only, and every time I turned around they started boxing shit instead. When we arrived to the house, they dropped my antique dresser and cracked a step! It took so much arguing to just get the cost of repair covered. They are slimeballs who do not care about their customers

The experience, start to finish, with Moishe's was excellent. They visited the office, provided an estimate in a timely manner and gave me the option of paying a fixed price or risking time-based billing. The individual suggested time-based might be cheaper and it ended up being the case. The movers themselves were very friendly, focused and careful and got the job done with a minimum of fuss. I will use them again next time.

The frontend of Moishe's process is great but once they pick up your things it is all downhill from there. My delivery was almost a week late and it required me to ask for updates and call instead of being updated. The customer service line loves to not pick up or abruptly hang up and not return the call. This happened to me consistently throughout the delayed shipping process and even on the day of delivery.

Upon arrival, the driver was extremely rude to my partner and talked to her in a very patronizing way. She had to ask him to stop talking to her and the driver continued to do so. To top off the terrible experience and lack of professionalism, we had several things broken in the box and the mattress was ripped up in the corners because the bag they used did not hold up. Follow up: Also called multiple times to the number provided below. No response. The claim they provided does not even come close to covering the damage.
