No! My elderly mother just paid them $10,157.00 They had to move her from one house to her new house less than 50 miles away. She had a crew of 5-6 men each time they came. They were late 3 of the 5 days and left early one day because of the heat. They loaded heavy boxes on boxes marked fragile. They chipped many pieces of furniture. Also just as many pieces of lamps, table legs, and other items were just plain lost. No way would I recommend this company to anyone.

Our experience with John's Moving moving was great. They helped us with a local move in June 2020. The guys were took their time wrapping every piece of furniture so it would not get damaged in the truck, and were very careful when moving everything into the new house. They even hauled our heavy exercise bike up to the third floor! They finished our move in less time than was originally quoted, so our bill was less than expected. I would recommend for a local move.

We learned about John's Moving and Storage from our realtor and could not have been more pleased. Office staff Jill and Jennifer are great when it comes to responsiveness and accurate estimates. The moving team, which we have used on two occasions now, is incredible. Polite, professional, extremely careful with items, and adept. And there were no surprises when it came to financial settlement. In fact, on both occasions actual charges were less than the estimate. We can recommend John's without reservation.

We had a rather complex move from a home into an apartment with most of our belongings going into storage for about two months followed by a move out of the apartment and storage and into our new home. It was actually four separate moves and we got to see many different people handling our belongings. Overall, we were very happy with the care that was taken to protect our stuff. Was it perfect? No. Did it meet our expectations? Absolutely!

Every employee we dealt with was courteous and treated us with respect. All were friendly. Some got five stars for their ability to handle every situation perfectly. Others did acceptable work. That's normal. I used to manage 25 employees and the employee evaluations went from "Outstanding" to "Needs Improvement". But every employee added value to the department. And, as far as moving goes, I hate moving and would not have wanted to manage this move by myself. I was more than satisfied with every aspect of the move by John's Moving & Storage.

Johns moving associates were responsive and easy to communicate with. The team that arrived were strong ( I have some very large heavy furniture) and able to determine the best angles and methods to move the furniture without damaging it or the walls or doors. I've had some horrible experiences moving this same furniture in the past that required cutting holes in the walls or movers that broke the doors or punched holes in the wall trying to move it.

So this isn't easy furniture to move. They made it seem easy. They never complained about the heavy, odd shaped furniture Once. They were very polite and I highly recommend them.

We recently used John's Moving & Storage for our move and we were very impressed with how courteous and professional they were. We had our stuff picked up one day and delivered several days later. Both teams made sure to introduce themselves to each of us upon arrival. They had everything quickly loaded up on the truck. The day of delivery, the team again very quickly unloaded everything and had it all in the assigned rooms.

There was no damage to any of our belongings, which was impressive because we have some very heavy furniture. I would recommend this company to anyone needing to make a move, they were so easy to work with and very accommodating.

Johns Moving recently helped us to move out of our home of 30 years. They were recommended to us by close friends who had a great experience with them. While moving is never much fun, especially after spending 30 years in a home, I would like to say that everything, from the initial contact and estimate thru to the execution of the move went very smoothly.

The guys, Eric, Ryan, Stanley and the rest of the crew were cheerful, careful and professional. Super nice guys! On the day of our closing, we discovered that Buyers had specified in the contract that they wanted our refrigerator (which was now in storage at Johns Movers). A mistake by me! The response by Johns Movers to get the refrigerator out of storage and delivered back to the house that we sold was handled quickly and cheerfully. I give the 5 stars all the way! Glen B

Don't hire John's. They came highly recommended to me. The scheduling of our move was top notch. That's it. The one star. If you don't like seeing your personal property thrown around, this isn't your crew. And when they present to you your broken property, they are flip about it. "Here's your broken bed frame, not sure how that happened." It's called carelessness and gravity.

Not a hard concept. And I don't have time to get into how much haggling you'll do to get a claim reviewed and closed out. This was the biggest pain point. Our move was in December, our claim was closed out in late May. Hire another company. PART 2 After posting this review, I received a call from the owner to apologize and ask what he could do to make things right.

We couldn't re-do the move but it meant a lot for Todd to take the time to call. From our conversation, I learned that they addressed some of the issues I experienced. (Changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars.)

We had a great experience with John's moving company as we moved into our new home. We chose John's by way of a friend's referral (we used another company in 2019 to move into an apartment while kicking off a home build, but that company left minor furniture damage and nicks on the walls - leading us to a choose a different company when moving once the home build was complete this year - 2020, so we chose John's per the referral). John's did not disappoint!

The crew was right on time, moved faster than estimated, took care of our furniture and our walls, and the crew was very pleasant and professional. Kudos to John's and to Ryan, Stan, and Jameson for a job well done - Thank you!

John's Moving and Storage helped me out on short notice, and with what otherwise would've been a painful move. I had an entire house that wasn't packed and had to be gone next day. The moving team was very professional and fast. They did a great job getting all of my belongings to storage and eventually to a new house in one piece and with no issues.

The price was right (very fair and competitive) and they went out of their way to make it as easy on me as possible. Highly recommend this company and in fact I'm going to have them move my mother next. I can't thank them enough for making this whole adventure that much less stressful. Two thumbs up.

Our experience with John's Moving & Storage was exceptional. Everything happened exactly as planned. The movers were here on time, very professional and courteous. They were extremely careful with our furniture, boxes, artwork and other belongings - moving out, packing the truck and then unloading at the new residence. We will definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to our friends.

After a nightmare move a year ago in which John's "underestimated" our move and then tried to up our moving charge by 60%, they are now saying our insurance claim is invalid although we personally delivered it to them before the cutoff date of nine months. Inept. Unprofessional. Incompetent.

I have waited a year to post this review naively thinking that our experience couldn't get any worse. After a nightmare move in which John's tried to overcharge us by 60%, and having to resolve the issue with the owner, who is not John BTW-the business has been sold- we delivered in person pictures and our insurance claims within the nine month period. Now, after six months, John's is trying to stick us again. They are at the least incompetent and at the worst unethical, unprofessional, and soon to be sued.

This company is, as we speak, holding my family's furniture hostage. They sent a 'pay this final $ to unload you' invoice followed by an 'oops, we didn't realize you would need a shuttle and now we need more $$' demand. A professional and experienced moving company doesn't 'oops' realize they need a shuttle and wouldn't make the customer pay for their error (although I suspect, of course, this isn't an error at all).

A VERY disappointing move. First, after an onsite visit by one of their folks we were quoted about $3500 for the move, which seemed fair. He estimated about 14,000 pounds. We had him look at every room to include the storage so that we got an accurate estimate. The boxes were improperly packed with items for bathroom in a bedroom box. Many of the wardrobe boxes had items thrown in and stuffed in at bottom.

We have numerous scratches and nicks in almost every wooden item to include antiques. My wife spent weeks packing but we knew we would need some packing help and told them what rooms we would do and which ones they were to do. We instructed them to load the attic storage on the trucks last as we wanted those to first go to a storage unit. Unfortunately, we now feel that some of the other boxes of items we have not been able to find two months later got mixed up with that and will have to unpack the entire storage unit to find.

One of the antique dining tables that we had refinished was damaged around the edges of the table as if it had been rolled on its edge on a concrete surface. After being told they had completed packing and loading, as we were cleaning up the house for the new owner, we found boxes left in closets and the attic. We had a delay of the previous house owners loading their trucks so we told the movers to keep the trucks over one additional night.

I think the costs was like $150 for both trucks. At the end I expected the original estimate to be close with the additional night added on. The end price was nowhere close to the estimate at $6500. I was shocked when my wife told me as I was out of town during the move and they demanded payment on the spot of delivery. To give you a little perspective of their packing.

I have enclosed a few pictures of one of our last wardrobe boxes they packed from my attic office. As you can see, stuff, to include two computer monitors, were just thrown in. I am 66 years old and have made numerous moved across multiple states and cities during my career but I can honestly say this is by far the worst move I have EVER experienced. I could go on and on with specific details but Buyer Beware. Enjoy the pictures as I think they speak volumes about the quality of the move.

My moving experience with John's was very positive from my first call through packing my stuff into pods that are now being stored in their warehouse. The staff was very accessible and addressed all of my questions promptly both over email and in person when I came to pick up my boxes. The movers were prompt and gracious and took great care in wrapping and protecting my furniture. The actual cost came in lower than the estimate which is always a good thing!

Use these guys! For my big move, this company was recommended to me by a friend and now I understand why. My team of 3 movers arrived right on time and had all my belongings on the truck and ready to go in under three hours. That was amazing considering I was still in the midst of packing things up. Each member was professional, courteous and treated every item in my house with the utmost care.

From obtaining a quote to the actual process of loading and unloading, working with John's Moving and Storage was a smooth process. I will definitely use them again for my next move and will recommend them to anyone looking for a way to make the stressful process of moving a little less hectic.

John's did an OK job. They under estimated by $700 Even after selling a large portion of our furniture. They seemed overwhelmed by the size of the job and probably would be better at a smaller size move? They were quite disorganized. They also charge more for using cedit cards.
