I'd go lower than one star if I could. The move was a disaster. I was quoted like $1900 and ended up paying $5k plus. They subcontracted to United Speed Movers in NJ who broke some of my stuff. They were days late, and alleged the truck starter went and rescheduled numerous times. finally moving my stuff at 9:00 at night. They dragged boxes in and made a mess. telling me at one point they could not get my queen mattress/box spring up the stairs.

It was a cluster. They charged me for wardrobe boxes and numerous up charges. They are very persistent, and The lead guy making the initial contact was very friendly and understanding, so you think this is the company you're dealing with, but then they pass it off to the guys that screw you. Do not use Guardian Van Lines and their subsidiary United speed movers.you'll spend months getting things repaired.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality Guardian moving and storage had my household goods in storage for three years. I received my couch back in an advanced condition of dry rot. I filed a claim which was denied saying that the dry rot was due to human contact. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. MILITARY MEMBERS BEWARE!

My furniture was not well taken care off and the boxes came out of the vault full of dust. My household goods was in storage for only 1 1/2 month then the movers wasn't professional at all

DoD needs to revoke contracts to this company. They don't follow their own standards. Their note says customer will be provided an AM or PM time frame, none was provided. Staff has no information an does not follow up. Staff pushes customers to 'quality control' who falsely poses as DoD representative. Finally items were damaged by 'Direct Movers' the company this company subcontracts out. One example attached. Unsatisfactory any way you add this up.

They did a good job moving us. We could have been more prepared when they arrived, but despite our clutter, they packed everything quickly and safely and moved it with a lot of care. Seemed very honest! We even had to change the date of the move, and they were easy to contact by phone and reschedule with.

Don't not use. especially if on Ft Meade, issues having to get people on post because of legal issues. Never knew what time they would arrive, always some excuse. We like to take care of the people who move our household goods so we spent over $125 for their lunch. and yet stuff still was broken and specific items went missing. Put in a claim to the company and now for some reason no one is returning my voicemails. I submitted my complaints to the Ft Meade transportation office so hopefully they are no longer used. If it was possible to rate below 1 Star that's what they would get.

1.8 rating does not surprise me. Can I give 0 stars? Terrible customer service, zero flexibility and total disinterest in helping military families' moves less stressful. Blamed their abysmal treatment on government policies, but my family and I have moved many times and worked with companies that were much more pleasant and accommodating.

I called to inquire about my shipment and the young lady who answered the phone was rude. Once I told her my information she said we don't have a release date. I asked about filing an inconvenience claim and she stated we can't do anything without a release date. I asked why do you need a release date? She said om my gosh hold on, never came back to the phone and transferred me to FT. Belvior without coming back to the phone with an answer or letting me know she was transferring me. When I called back no one would answer the phone. I called from a few different numbers.

Everything started off well with movers arriving early and quickly starting my move. There were 3 guys, leader named Jesus. Morning packing went off without a hitch. After they returned from lunch there seem to be a change, packing more rushed and forgetting to pack items. They left about 4 items that neede to be packed; no problem. What is a problem is the fact that one of these guys stole from me.

I took out my 2 military jackets, my black coat, and my 7 yr old son's heavy black leather coat to not be packed and laid them on the other side of the room away from packing items. After the movers left, I went to hang the coats up and noticed my son's leather coat missing but the other coats present. Why would they steal from me? If he'd asked, I prob would've given it to him.

The govt paid them to come into my hm, I gave them water, they used my bathroom multiple times and then they took it upon themselves to take something without my permission. I feel disgusted; now worried about what else will they take without my knowing since they're taking my things to long term storage. My 60" plasma tv was also recorded incorrectly as a 50" tv; let's hope that was an innocent mistake and not a facetious one with an intent to steal it.

I will definitely be putting them on the military Do Not Use list. I hope to hear back from Guardian leadership in regards to this theft as well. So to all, please watch not only ur items being packed but those that are not. Tanya, Army Officer
