Scanio's Moving & Expressing

I have used Scanio Moving at least 4 times (most recently in August of 2021) and I have been 100% satisfied every time. Their attention to detail and professional staff, with each move, have delivered all of our household contents including artwork, sculpture and fragile items without incident. If your want to have a worry free move, my advice would be to call Scanio Moving first.

I used Scanio to move from NJ to Manhattan in mid August. My first call with them was straightforward - we scheduled a video call walkthrough of all the things I'll be moving, things I would need disassembled, clothes for their wardrobe boxes, etc. After accepting the quote (Just short of $2.5k, estimated mostly by the # of floors they had to climb) and putting a down payment of $200, we got everything confirmed / got the certificate of insurance worked out.

We had initially scheduled to start the move on a Friday at 9AM, but we were able to get them there earlier. Day of the move, Isma, the foreman, introduced himself and his team to me. They were rather straightforward and efficient. I had already packed most of my things, and most of their time spend was on furniture disassembly and packing. It took a few hours, and another hour for them to arrive at my new apartment - they began moving things immediately.

They kept their cool despite it being a really hot summer day. We faced a few hiccups of fitting furniture through the door, but they were flexible to help disassemble things further and rebuild it back inside. The only issue that came out of it was I realized apack of gatorade I had with me didn't make it to the apartment - but I'll give the crew the benefit of the doubt there, I think they needed it way more than I did.

Scanio Moving and Storing is hands down the industries very best! I have been a client for 4 years and have had multiple packing, storage and moving experiences. The most recent a relocation from New York to Florida. The delivery duo led by Dimetrius was the best that I have ever experienced. They were A+++. Professional, efficient, courteous and kind. Can not say enough good things.

The movers were very rough with my things - broke a leg of a settee and a leg on a chest, damaged other furniture. And though I had insurance, Scanio did not honor my claim.

Used Scanio Movers for my move to Houston, Nir and company are the most trustworthy and professional moving company in Manhattan. Gave me a very reasonable cost which was definitely worth it considering the value/time his team spent on this and better than the competition. Very appreciative of their work and will certainly use Scanio in the future

Movers double parked next to my car, made a dent and refuse to accept it, although we have video from their truck next to my car.

Had to move 3-4 times during my time in the NYC/NJ area and Scanio Movers was far-and-away the best moving company that I had used. The entire staff were professional, on time, efficient, and careful with all my furniture, delicates, and expensive kitchenware. For its top quality and care of delicates, Scanio is one of elite moving company that you can trust in New York City area.

Scanio is fantastic! I have moved four times over the last ten years, and each time, I have used Scanio. We have had a variety of their crews and several different foremen, and they are uniformly professional, reliable, respectful and upfront. Nir and his team give realistic estimates based on my property, and don't surprise me with hidden/upcharges on moving day.

They have never broken an item, and I've always ended moving day with a smile on my face pleased with how smooth the process went. I'm not sure how many people can say that!

I couldn't possibly recommend a better company than this! From the amazing help I received with estimates and cost from Nir, to the professionalism and efficiency shown by Colin and crew during the packing and moving of my things, they hands down blew me away with the whole experience. One of the easiest and least stressful moves I've ever gone through. Thanks again to the whole team for the great experience and amazing customer service.

Our dear friend recommended this company to us for our cross-country move (from NYC to LA). We called them 6 weeks prior to our moving date (we didn't even have a place yet in LA), but Idan was very helpful in telling us what to do and how to prepare for the move. He suggested a time closer to our estimated moving date to talk again but he ensured us that they'll be able to help us even though we wanted to move at a busy time: in the middle of July.

When I talked to them next time, I sent them a video about our packed apartment, they made an estimate for us which ended up only a $100 more (boxes etc. that they had to bring to cover our furniture, artwork etc. that they couldn't foresee) thanks to Dane. I think it's a fair price considering that we packed the apartment and they've never seen it in life (thanks to COVID-19).

I'd like to give a big shoutout to Dane, Teddy, Frank, Patrick and Kevin for being so efficient, professional, helpful, precise and quick in packaging up our apartment and in 3 hours (they had to pack our furniture) they cleaned out our one-bedroom. We really appreciate their help and highly recommend them to everyone!

We would like to recommend Scanio moving for their excellent service during our move. Our foreman was Jay. His team arrived on time. They were perfectly professional with all items we asked them to pack. And we were moving to a loft with stairs. Some items were hard to maneuver. They were ingenious to devise plans to move the items to the designated places. We will recommend them

This is an update after using them to move my office. Again, a great group to work with. They came on time, handled our furniture and computers (lots of those) carefully, brought everything to the new space and set it all up. It ended up taking less time than the estimate so we actually paid less than expected. Again, they made the move as painless as possible. Thanks guys!

I have worked with Scanio through my job before and recommended them to family and they have always done an excellent job! Currently going through a long distance move and unfortunately due to budgets and distance I could not use them, but I still have nothing but great things to say! When my original moving company bailed I called Scanio and spoke with Tony who was the nicest.

We spoke for probably 20 minutes and even when he knew he probably wouldn't be getting my business he advised me on the best ways to handle a long distance move and gave me GREAT advice. Seriously a KIND person!

Beware! I have used a few moving companies in the past, but wow these guys were so bad. They told me it would cost $2k and it was almost double. Then they charged me for 4 hours of driving and lunch time which they said was common. What's most painful is that they didnt give me the new estimate until all my furniture was already loaded in their truck. So they had all the power. I'd really be careful with these guys. I randomly had two neighbors in my new building who their boxes and had similar feedback.

In connection with a move, I donated my library, built up over 60 years, to Brooklyn College. Ricardo James and his crew came, packed up the books (254 boxes!), and transported them to BC. Their work was timely, efficient, careful and discreet. We got along splendidly and I signaled my satisfaction with a 20% tip to the crew. If I ever have to do this again - God help me! - Scanio will be my first call (actually I found them through In Order To Succeed, who essentially managed the move, and I triple-highly recommend them).

Scanio Movers are the best out there. I've used them several times for complicated moves and also storage services. Each move has went smoothly and without issue. Moving can be a difficult time for us all and can be very stressful. Scanio certainly alleviates any worries. They are flexible and understanding. The moving teams are extremely professional, organized, and courteous. They take great care for all your belongs. I would highly recommend using them. You will not regret it.

The crew arrived on time, our estimator (Anthony) was on site to get them started, they were all in uniform and worked as a very efficient team. Herbert was the crew leader and he was cheerful and professional, and got the job done ahead of schedule. They even moved a very large, very heavy, server cabinet down a flight of stairs seamlessly. Highly recommend this company - and in particular Herbert's crew!

I have used Scanio 3 times and each time they have been fantastic and very easy to work with. They are pro's and make moving as painless as possible. The moves were all done well under the amount of time expected and they helped set up all the furniture in the apartment and help me unpack some boxes. A pleasure to work with and highly recommended. The owner, Nir is a great guy and will treat you like family. Very customer focused.

We hired Scanio Moving and Storage for a move from NYC to the San Francisco bay area. Scanio wasn't necessarily the cheapest but we felt was the best option for our moving needs. Everything was handled flawlessly by a very professional moving team - everything was packaged with care and the movers were courteous and tried to get everything done as quickly as possible.

Once everything arrived at our new home the movers unpackaged and assembled all of our belongings, removed the debris and voila! We were now settled in our new home - what a great moving experience! A very highly recommended moving company! Very professional!

Scanio removed all our belongings into storage for three months to allow us to renovate our apt. The crew were great, both for the move out and when they returned our belongings. They were attentive, efficient and flexible and they packed everything carefully including ornaments and many fragile items. I would certainly recommend Scanio without any hesitation

What a terrific moving experience! We hired Scanio Moving and Storage because they were a notch above the rest. We felt that the type of service we were going to get was going to be a leg up from other moving companies we received quotes from. We knew they were going to be a bit more expensive, but when you own things you actually care about and would like they to move in one piece from one place to another paying a little extra doesn't really matter - you get what you pay for. and indeed we did.

Everybody was EXTREMELY professional and courteous. All of our items were packed very carefully and the move went by without a hitch - I can only say good things about our experience and would highly recommend Scanio Moving to anybody looking for a high quality moving company which actually cares about its customer's moving experience!

Really the worst moving experience EVER! "SCAMio" is right. Nightmare! I was moving only 3 blocks on the Upper West Side. Loading took 2 hours longer than they had estimated. When I mentioned this to them, they HELD MY STUFF HOSTAGE, and asked me to PAY UP RIGHT THEN. After an hour of arguing, calling the company multiple times, I finally had to run to an ATM, and pay them the entire amount in cash which was WAY over the estimate. And yes, I had to pay for the time that we were arguing as well :. Writing this review has been cathartic - I hope it helps reduce the nightmares from this experience.

Very professional ownership. I have moved twice with the company. One great move and one move not so great. The owner has, however, taken a personal interest in resolving the problem. I would use again.

We just finished with setting up and ready for a good night sleep. Thank you for taking care of our goods, great service by the 5 men crew. Our company used Scanio Moving to move an office and its contents from New York City to Rockville, MD. We received exceptional treatment from the get go. The estimator was on time and provided a very specific estimate - there were no surprises - everything that was quoted originally was the price we ended up paying. The movers themselves were on time, polite and extremely professional.

Overall we were extremely happy with the service we received from Scanio and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a reputable and professional moving company.

I would not use Scanio again. They chipped a custom made coffee table and even though I filled out appropriate paperwork, they never addressed it. I used them for storage and moving. And they chipped another marble coffee table. The moving super was aggressive and when I asked him, if I could buy him and the crew lunch, He said, No I will just take the money. They also lost a few boxes and when I attempted to review the inventory at the end of the move, I was told, he had to hurry to pick up his child. I was not happy.

I used Scanio Moving and Storage to move from my Brooklyn apartment to an apartment on the Lower West Side. I found them online and after reading some positive reviews I decided to have them come in for a free consultation. The representative that came was very nice and came on time, which I really appreciated - I had 2 other companies come in for estimates and one was over an hour late and the other never showed up.

We scheduled a date for the move within the agreed upon fees and timeframe. The movers showed up on time and did an excellent job packing my valuables and carefully taking them down the stairs. Everything was done smoothly and professionally and there were no "hidden fees" or "surprises" of any kind - what we agreed on was the price I ended up paying. Scanio is a very professional company and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a solid and reliable moving company.

We used Scanio Moving and storage to move from our home in Closter, NJ to Cresskill, NJ. We received several estimates and although Scanio was not the cheapest we definitely felt the most comfortable with them. They were extremely professional from start to finish and had everything done within less than a day. The move was not far but everything was handled with extreme care especially some of our antique furniture. Overall we extremely happy with the service we received and would highly recommend Scanio Moving and Storage to any of our friends or family.

This has been the best moving experience I've had in the 7 years I've lived in Manhattan. Yohai was great at coordinating everything and John, the gentleman managing the movers, was very competent and experienced. Of course, there were some snags along the way, and moving is ALWAYS a stressful process, but I felt that the additional money over some of the cheaper, flat rate movers was well worth it.

They also have very reasonable storage prices - we currently have our things in storage as we were changing the floors in our apartment. I'll update the review once we receive our things back from storage, but I don't anticipate any problems.
