We are a family owned company with a rich history of moving and supporting structures throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. Over the past 35 years, we have done projects for numerous contractors, hundreds of private citizens as well as projects for the University of Vermont, Dartmouth College and the State of Vermont. We continually reinvest in our business which allows us to maintain a modern/state of the art equipment, a versatile inventory of the beams, jacks, house moving dollies, and other specialty equipment that are necessary to do the job well and efficiently.
Services
Any building can be moved, given time and money. Basic jobs to jack a building can cost as little as $5,000, while more complex moves can cost up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. We are equipped for all types of projects. Our most typical jobs involve supporting or jacking barns, camps, or single family homes, most often to facilitate foundation replacement.
The body on this truck was purpose built to transport our equipment. The 16 ton crane gives us the ability to move and place most of our equipment even if working room is limited. This is our Modern Hydraulics Unified Jacking system. Made in America, this system keeps the jacks moving at the same rate.
What do you do when you need to add an extra floor to fit the expanding student ranks at your university? Well, you can either tear down the roof, or you can raise it. Norwich called us in to do exactly that. The building had to be usable by the start of the next semester, so we had to move quickly and with minimal damage to the rest of the building.
