I have been a customer here since the early 2000's. Recently, the debit card I used to pay my monthly bill was hacked. The bank gave me a new one, and I reported the new number to Dino's. This was in December. In January and February, the charges were paid, as usual. March 10th, I was informed that my payment was past due. I told them that I've always been on automatic payment.
They informed that the bank "had a hold on the account." I found this odd, in that all other automatic payments due the first week of the month were paid in full. I called my bank and was informed that they had not put any hold on my account since the December was resolved. The only explanation that the bank lady and I could come up with was that Dino's submitted for the March payment using the old account number. Anyway, I paid via the website and told the local office that corporate must have screwed up keying the payment.
I got Corporate's number, was basically told that this was all MY fault and told that I was locked out until I came up with a $30 late fee, which Inam currently disputing. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE! If you have stuff stored there, find room elsewhere.

I have rented from Dino's off Josephine and 144th for many years and it is always clean and well maintained, they have great rates for an inside unit, and it is convenient to get in and out any time of the day or night. But the major plus is their amazing customer service! Diane is a standout employee that goes above and beyond, knows her tenants by name, is SO friendly, and makes a point to ask how you are doing!
It's a rare find to have someone out sweeping the snow to give you a path to get in the door, cleaning up and sweeping any debris in the halls, and keeping and eye out for the safety of the tenants and units. Diane does all of that and more and I actually look forward to visiting my unit and bumping into Diane!

This company is horrible! None of them know what the hell they are talking about! I was only in there for 3 months and they cycled through 3 managers in that short time! None of them knew what they were doing and screwed up my billing! They're method of payment is trash and doesn't work then you get charged a late fee! Oh and not to mention that. "free moving truck" they make you jump through hoops just to use it!
I am a military member, I was on a time limit before my deployment and they refused to let me use their truck! NEVER NEVER NEVER USING THEIR FACILITIES EVER AGAIN! HORRIBLE PLACE!

The manager at this location (Diane) was very kind and helpful and I would give her 5 stars. However, I unfortunately had to deal with the corporate office. My father passed away in January. I called to make sure his account was up to date and kept current until we were able to come get good belongings. I was told that the account was current and I continued to call and make a payment each month, being told each time that my payment covered the full amount due.
In March, I was told that a payment in December hadn't gone through. I explained the situation and was told that if I provided a death certificate the account would not go to collections. A few weeks later, I got a call that the unit was going to auction. When all was said and done, Dino's had charged me nearly $500 in late fees for an account I had called and paid on every month.
These late fees were due to an error with Dinos payment system and continued to accumulate because it took them nerly 4 months to identify their mistake. I was eventually refunded all but $55 of the late fees. When I called to try and get the remaining $55 removed, as this was due to THEIR error, I was told a supervisor would call me back. The supervisor never did call and after a month of them not returning a call on three separate occasions, I filed a complaint with the better business bureau.
They responded to my complaint by refusing to refund the money and giving false information as their reasoning. I would steer as far as you can from Dino's. While the manager of this location was amazing and was the only reason part of the late fees were refunded, all payments/issues with unethical billing have to go through the corporate office and they are very disorganized and unresponsive.

Where to begin. My unit along with several others were broken into back in December of 2020. They advertise 24/7 security in the form of controlled access and alarm system. Well Dinos didn't feel the need to tell me at the time of my signing my rental agreement that the alarm system was broken and had been for sometime. I have serious doubts they had intentions to fix it in a timely manner since it had been broken for apparently sometime (police told me during the investigation).
So with no security system the thief(s) literally walked in with POWER CUTTING TOOLS and sawed locks off several units. Oh and this was over a period of weeks according to the police. WEEKS. And Dino's did nothing to remedy the broken system or notify customers of the problem. Everything, and I mean everything was stolen from my unit, all that was left was empty boxes.
Well that's what insurance is for right? Dinos requires you to purchase their protection plan at a monthly cost. So I ask about what I need to do file a claim. They first told me to contact my homeowners insurance. Excuse me? No I will not be filing a claim with my insurance, I was required to purchase your insurance and will be using that. So I file a police report as well as a claim through them with a list of what was stolen which I doubt is through an actual insurance company and instead just them being 'self insured'.
I finally get a response saying my claim is denied. Excuse me? They claim since I didn't tell them what was being stored prior to the incident my claim was denied. That's right, apparently they need an itemized list of EXACTLY what is being stored at any given time. So in other words any time you add/remove items from your storage unit you need to notify them so they can keep track of what is in your unit. Seems pretty shady they want a list of what it is in every unit at any given time.
Especially when 'random' units are being robbed. There's video evidence of my property being stolen but since I didn't update them of what had been added since starting the rental they denied my claim. I reminded them of the rental agreement and no where does it say they will need an itemized list of what's being stored at any given time.
I also pointed out the negligence of failing to provide security knowing their system was broken. Best I got was a response saying they would 'look into it' So sure. If you want zero discreetness of what you are storing with a company that fails to provide or care about security go for it.

Dino's Storage is HORRIBLE! The ceiling was falling in and the door was hard to open. I asked them to fix it and it never got fixed. My mom suddenly passed away and Alicia and Tameria said I only gave an 8-day notice instead of 10 and turned my deceased mother over to collections instead of being generous in a difficult situation and writing off the $121. Don't do business with them!

I rented a facility here and when it was time to mpve out there was no one ever in the office. No one ever called me back. I left voicemail after voicemail. Then they charged me an extra month! On top of all that, when i cleaned everything out i found rat droppings everywhere. They chewed through all my things and I had to throw almost everything away! Do as you please, I will not be renting here ever again.

This is the worst place. you cannot communicate with anyone after hours. the gate was not accepting our code and we could not get into our unit at our convenience and no one to talk to for emergency situation. I signed up December 30th told I would get January for free and paid for February. now saying I owe. we sent notice of vacating the unit through dinos website per instructions and now being charged for the month we were not there. The communication is horrendous and the customer Service sucks.

Replacing their staff at the east 14th location. They are rude lazy and biased. They believe they are above the rules and laws that protect citizens from unfair practices. Don't rent from them unless you have a lot of extra time on your hands. To fight against them so you can have nothing more than what you paid for. BUYERS BE WARNED.

I started working at Dino's as a training day on 12/29/20. They didn't have the parking lot plowed and I got stuck in the snow. The next day I called to make sure my car was still there so I could get a ride to pick it up. I was told it was and they were not towing it. My car was gone when I got there. I called headquarters once again and was told that they didn't tow it.
They guaranteed me that they didn't tow it and they didn't know who did. Finally after a while and not knowing what happened they gave me the number to their towing department which is also owned by them. I called them and sure enough they did tow my car after being told and promised almost a dozen times that they didn't. They refuse to release my car to me unless I pay them even after their mistakes.
Not only that but I never signed any paperwork for this job and they expected me to shovel snow in tennis shoes even though it was not mentioned on the job description. After all this Dave Paladino the owner Venmo'd me under the table for my work and didn't even send me the agreed upon amount. They claim to be a Christian company but if you google the owner at all you will soon find out that is not the case.
If you deal with them in any way that I've had to they will consistently lie to you and even admit that they were "mistaken but it doesn't matter you still need to pay." This is how they treated me a new "employee" but not technically cause Dave paid me under the table.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Their outside units are Full of rats! My daughter tried for a month to get a hold of someone to let them know she would be moving her stuff out. I drove to Omaha Twice to help her and No One was there even though it was during their "open hours". Their "online" form was difficult to navigate. So not only did we have to throw away a box spring and mattress.
She had to pay for a month she wasn't using AND pay to take that box spring and mattress to the dump. Not to mention all of the other items she had to throw away because it was covered in mouse droppings. They even got inside the plastic! No mouse traps or devices anywhere to help deter the rodents. To top it off, they laughed at her, had absolutely NO empathy, AND they took the money that was paid by her boyfriend for HIS storage unit and applied it to HERs and then charged her boyfriend a late fee saying he didn't pay it. Even after admitting their mistake. Bottom line, DONT USE THIS PLACE!

Terrible customer service and rude. Answers questions with questions. Left two months ago and they are still charging me. Was told to redo my move out form that I did months ago. Told I should have taken a picture of the empty unit as proof of moving out. That definitely was not in the contract, but I was asked if I read it. When I re-accomplishing the move out form they changed the date to put me within 10 days of the month in order to charge me. DO NOT USE THEM!

If I could give them a zero star, I would. Do not take your business to Dinos. i rented from them for almost 2 years. I was sick, presumably with Covid19.back in March and spoke with Staff in Bellevue, NE. Their staff told me they would waive late fees for both April and May while I got caught up on bills. I was sent a bill for $60 in the 3rd week of May saying I owed late fees for April and May.
I told them about the conversation and they made me send paperwork proving I was sick with Covid19. I told them people couldn't get tested back then because the entire metro area only.had 300 tests, I hadm't traveled or been in known contact with anyone. I ended up being forced to pay the $60 in late fees even.after Inhad sent all proof from my work that I had been out for presumably Covid 19.
I immediately alerted them in writing that I would be vacating as of May 31, 2020 and took my business elsewhere. Now they have been harassing me and telling me I owe them May rent plus late fees when it has already been paid. Luckily I have proof that I paid those months with my bank statements. DO NO DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE EXTORTIONISTS

Terrible customer service (rude and didn't know his job) and even worse accounting system. Their system failed then they charged their customers late fees and it was all due to their accounting system breakdown. The local staff is nice and they have tried to help but have limited access to account and other information. I would not use this storage company, again, and I can't recommend them.

To be fair I was in need of storage quickly so I did not do my own research of this company before I moved in. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM. first off there is almost never a manager on site. might as well not even have posted hours on the door. second they don't take payment on site, you have to pay online. sounds great right, no. there website is hart to use has no account information or balance due info. it does not save your information so you have to give your life story every time you try and make a payment. now that I am moving out they hit me with this. you need to give writing notice 10 days before your move out and you have to pay one extra month rent.

I've had a unit with Dino's storage for over 2 years and for the most part I've been satisfied with their service. I have moved to another state so I don't remember the gate code (I still have my lock key) anymore. I called Dino's Bellevue and I was more than willing to give all my information over the phone to confirm my identity yet they refused to provide that for me.
Being from out of state it is more convenient for my schedule to access the facility on Sundays and of course they are closed so even if I have paid for my unit on time each month, I still couldn't get in because I don't have a gate code. This is a ridiculous policy to have, if banks and other financial institutions are willing to confirm your identity with security questions why can't a storage facility do the same thing? Matt, the Manager was condescending, showed no empathy and was not willing to resolve the issue.
Another issue I have is that, no matter now many times you update your address and information online if they still have the wrong information, it's still my fault. I have paid my unit with my current address, email address and current phone number via Bill Pay yet they can't send the notice of fee increase correctly. Let's not forget the fact that I have updated my information over a year ago yet no correspondence was sent to me. The incompetence is unacceptable and frustrating.

I have about 9 storage units at multiple locations (this is the only one at Dino's) and this one is by far the best one in terms of condition and location. It's new, the door functions great, the place is clean, and the gate functions great. but that's where it ends. They don't seem to run a business very well or perhaps they run it too well when it comes to finding a way to charge you a fee. It's always about what's best for them even when they screw up.
They currently have a billing problem. Their business rules don't allow them to take money at the location, I'd love to give somebody a check. please please please take my money, but no. They won't let me send them a check because it might get their after the billing date and then they'll charge me the late fee, can't miss an opportunity to screw you (because its a pain to move out).
Its 10:20 am on the 5th, if the billing system that is down comes back up by noon then they'll call us and we'll have until midnight to get the payment in or get hit with the late fee. We have lives but we need to be by the phone and the computer to make sure you get your payment and don't miss an opportunity to charge a fee. Dino's Fee and Storage where is all about Dino's.

My experience with Dino's storage in Bellevue was absolutely awesome. The facility is clean, well kept and lit, the gate works perfect. Management made it easy by loaning out there truck free of charge to move my stuff. Also, due to me being in the military and leaving the area, closing out my storage and stopping the automatic payments was as easy as sending an email. Did I mention the rates were reasonable as well! I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone!

My husband and I travel with our job and have 2 storage units at Dino's. My problem is that they have been overcharging us every month. The first time was on us, as someone stole our card information and we had to get a new debit card. I didn't update Dino's with my new card on time and they charged us a fee on top of our usual monthly rate.
They did not once call or email me or my husband to give us a warning. Ever since then they have been over charging us on accident and every single month we are having to call them to politely remind them that they are over charging us. It's getting really really old. My husband just tried to call this morning to remind them again that our unit was overcharged, and the man who answered the phone (he didn't state his name) told him that he couldn't help us as he is not the property manager, and that Matt is our property manager.
We have not been reimbursed the money that has been taken from us (they keep saying they will roll it over to the next month), and we are really unhappy about this. We will definitely be looking for a new storage unit the next time we are home because this is starting to get ridiculous, which is a shame as we like the location of Dino's in Bellevue and we like the temperature controlled units. Please, do yourself a favor and find another storage place, these people are incredibly rude and unprofessional.

Dino's is clean, safe (well lit, strong locks/gates that WORK(!), and attentive staff (they walk the premises daily (checking locks, signs of damage, etc.)) and their staff has always been respectful and helpful. Wilfred, one of the managers, has been exceptionally kind each time we talk on the phone or in the office. Recently, after chatting a bit and sharing some details about things in common, he graciously offered some wise advice, an aspect in business I can't say is found very often anymore -- and I'm glad he showed such kindness, it's a rare commodity. Dino's Bellevue location also has a moving truck they allow existing tenants to use.haven't seen THAT level of service anyplace else - you can even rent it longer periods for far less than other truck rental places - add this to the 24/7 access to units and you've got the perfect combo for helping reduce stress felt during moves, Dino's service(s) save me time/effort by making thins easier to do. I've read the other reviews, those experiences are WAY different than mine have ever been, really makes me wonder about their motive, maybe its just an 'entitled' perspective.either way I know with Dino's I get exactly what I expect/pay for - no surprises, just satisfaction.

Firstly, I've been with familiar with Dino's for years. The staff is friendly, the rates are reasonable and I have a good feeling of security leaving my stuff there. I'd recently come across some negatives reviews that had to do with the staff and the billing. (I can't speak for ALL the staff, but, as stated before, the interactions I've had have all been positive.) As far billing is concerned, yes they do have late fees. (The same as every other utility.) The contracts are very specific in stating their billing policies. I suggest that if you're a stickler for specifics, security and service, give Dino's a try.

The staff wasn't very pleasant and they're more than happy to take your money every month and decline one fee reversal. I have used their facilities for over a year and an unexpected card issue came up, making my current payment method invalid. I was notified via an e-mail I received at the end of my work shift one day when they were already closed.
Their office hours were during my scheduled shift the next day, and as we were short-staffed, I was unable to get away to make personal calls. I called the very next morning when they opened to fix the problem and was informed that since I didn't contact them the previous day, I would incur a $30 fee for paying late. This, mind you, with under 48 hour turnover of the message.
My hands were tied, I explained the situation, and the secretary said I'd most likely be granted a fee reversal because I had never once paid late, but I guess their fists are tighter on your cash than a python on a rat. A faithfully paying customer slammed with a ridiculously high late fee (nearly half of what the monthly rent of the unit costs) with a "you snooze, you lose" spirit.
Their codes are also not up to any good standards of security. They assigned me a "temporary" code that is embarrassingly high chance of being guessed. It's been over a year since I started storing my items here and I have yet to be given a different one. Edit: They must have seen my review because I was given a new passcode shortly after it posted.
The rates increased and I was not notified, but thankfully, I overpaid one month and that was enough to cover the several months I went unaware of this rate increase. The remainder was eventually used against my monthly charge this month so I'd be back at zero again.

Would like to echo the complaint submitted below about their late fees. I've paid for my two units a year in advance for the last two years. Well they sent me a letter this month saying they are raising their rates so I called them that I was terminating my lease on units. The manager informed me that I had to terminate in writing and also I was late on my Feb payment.
I said I didn't get a statement saying my payment was due. Manager said they don't mail out notifications to save the company costs. I went ahead and paid my Feb and March rates online on Thursday night and also sent my termination notice. I asked for confirmation. I called Friday since I didn't receive confirmation. The gentleman that answered the phone stated manager was out for family emergency and he would have her call me on Sat.
Well I waited until 2 and I called. Manager stated that she did t get my termination. I informed her I used the email address on the web site. She also stated that I have a credit on my account for March and I owed more money because they are charging 60 Dollars for being late. I emailed the owner of Dinos to see what he can do. I get when your running a business you don't what your payments to be late but since I've always paid a year in advance for the last two years it is not like I have a record of being late.
It is frustrating that a business can't be more proactive and send a notice to me that it was? They have my email address, what is the cost to the business to send out email? Again I get the business wants it payments on time but I believe you have some type of responsibility in notifying the customer. I will update this review once I hear back from the owner.

Horrible service. For one thing they never answered their main line, which didn't even have a voicemail set up so I wasn't sure it was the correct number. I contacted the main line who was very nice and transferred me over to the bellevue location. The guy who answered was incredibly rude ( I now know why he didn't give his name). I had a single price question that he wouldn't take two seconds to answer and told me to use the Internet instead.
When I asked again he huffed and actually hung up on me. Upon calling back he was even more of a jerk and at that point I decided go with another company. Serious lack of professionalism.

The facility itself is great - climate controlled with motion sensing lights, so you're never in the dark, and carts are provided. Paying the bill is much more complicated than it has to be. They apply an additional charge if you want to receive a bill. You can pay your bill online, but there's no online account to log into to see what you owe or confirm what your unit number it, and they don't accept payment at the office. Additionally, we moved into a larger unit for the last month at an additional cost of $15.
Because of the difficulty paying, it took us a week to get payment to them. In that short amount of time, they had locked our unit. If they could fix their billing and payment, this place would be great. As it is, the system is so bad, they lose 3 stars for their abysmal payment system.
