The movers from Fox and Ginn made our lives a breeze on moving day. They were prompt, professional, worked with a strong sense of urgency, and the job was accurately completed by 2pm. We couldn't have asked for more. We'll never move ourselves again. Worth every cent to hire these fine people.

After a terrible experience with another moving company, I found Fox and Ginn and couldn't be happier! They were fantastic in every way. Josh helped me arrange to have my stuff taken out of my house in Maine and put it in their storage facility while I searched for a new place in Florida and then he arranged the move when I was ready. The guys who took everything out of the Maine house were fantastic.

They took special care with fragile items and furniture, and didn't scratch the floor on the way out. Rick and his nephews delivered everything to my new Florida home and they were PERFECT! When I thought, at first, that I might be missing a small chair, Rick and Frank (back in Maine) jumped right on it and promised to find it. But I had packed it in a box instead of leaving it loose and had forgotten, so mystery solved. No need to look for another moving company - choose these guys if you want a great job. We had a very positive experience in our move from Maine to Rhode Island. The estimate was within 100 lbs. of the actual weight. Packing was done quickly and efficiently. The Estimator brought some used boxes to our home on his way by, which was appreciated. Delivery was on the day and at the hour promised. We were disappointed to find a number of things left in the garage rather than carried to their proper location on the Rhode Island end, which was the only glitch in the whole process, but by and large all went very well. We would use Fox and Ginn again for an interstate or local move.

Items broken that weren't fragile, towels stained, boxes sent to wrong location. They are far from top notch. I understand there are a lot of moving parts but several items were separated into 3 or more boxes with no information as where to locate them, towels had random yellow stains, rugged tools were damaged, delivery was a nightmare - no communication to unloaders that we are 3rd floor, unloaders were late by 3+hours, storage/home items mixed, Nondescript box labels. Things got moved but I wasn't impressed by the process.

Awesome Fox and Ginn moving crew from Bangor, Maine. On time, professional, trustworthy and respectful. Absolutely no damage to any of our household goods shipped from Germany to Maine. I have some serious mixed feelings about this place. We had them come to our house to move some odd sized/heavy items. They changed the appointment a few times so at this point it aligned with the day I was packing a Uhaul to move out of my house. They parked the massive tractor trailer in my driveway leaving me no space for the Uhaul. After someone had already come out and checked out the items that needed to be moved, they sent only 2 guys.

Long story short, it needed a 3rd person. We waited well over an hour for that 3rd person to show up. Did I mention that I'm also trying to move at the same time they are taking up the whole driveway? Time is money. Once they got the items on the truck, they were on their way. The guys doing the moving did a fine job. I negotiated for storage at their place.

As others have noted, they really care mostly about the money. I had a handful of times been overcharged or charged for things that were not in our contract. They always gave me the credit back but who wants to sit there and monitor their account everyday because they cannot trust a local company? The storing of the object was fine. We did not have any damage and when we were ready to move all of them out, they were helpful.

My district hired Fox and Ginn to move our entire library collection and all of our furniture before we had our carpets removed. Kevin D. was in charge of the moving crew and he was always very professional, meticulous with details, and amazingly patient with me and my particular needs for this move. He went above and beyond my expectations on every level.

He even had suggestions that turned a potentially stressful event into an opportunity to make improvements in this space. When we noticed a piece of furniture was slightly damaged, he came back a couple weeks later and fixed it. I highly recommended any company that employs him.

We have been going back and forth to Florida for over 20 years. This year, we finally made the decision to make Maine our home. We dreaded all that had to be done to accomplish that task! Fox and Ginn not only made it easy, but also enjoyable. The team was tremendously organized, polite, knowledgeable and helpful. They were expert at packing our fragile belongings.

They arrived on schedule, coordinating with our travel plans, then met us at our home in Maine, unloading efficiently, without a single "ding" on anything. Price was fair and the result better than we could ever have imagined. If we were ever to move again, there would be not doubt about calling Fox and Ginn. We recently used Fox and Ginn Movers for our retail store move. The experience was excellent from start to finish. We moved many heavy pieces of high end custom cabinetry, store furnishings and all our inventory. They were scheduled to send 4 men and one large truck, 2 trucks showed up with 5 men. They started early, finished by mid afternoon and the final price was below the original estimate. Everything arrived in its new location in perfect condition and the men placed everything as directed. I recommend them highly and would definitely use them again.

We were extremely satisfied with the efficiency and professionalism of Fox & Ginn movers. Our account executive, Pegi, had great knowledge and helped us to keep costs down while moving our fine art safely. We will definitely use Fox & Ginn for future moves.

Fox & Ginn has assisted our family with multiple moves. Many were complicated (including out of state elements as we now live outside of Maine now and my parents and family are long-term Maine residents). Fox & Ginn assisted us in times of grief (such as the passing of a family member and needing to move their items following) and in times of happiness (moving to new residences).

Every time we've consistently experienced a professional, caring, time sensitive and cost control-minded approach. We felt we received outstanding value for Fox & Ginn's services and our items were all treated with care (expertly handled) each and every time. We will definitely use their services again. They are by far the most professional, highest value and service-minded company we have ever worked with (apx. 20 moves over the years). Highly recommend Fox & Ginn.

Edit: With some delay but with a reasonable explanation the company helped us through our issues with the move in a professional manner. Mistakes happen in any business and what differentiates them is how they deal with them. In this case, considering their guiding policy, they have done everything and beyond with many thanks to the primary manager.

Thank you. We packed our boxes and had our furniture disassembled and assembled at the destination. During the packing one of the crew worked for almost on hour on our bed before informing me (I happened to be in the house) that they could not disassemble it because the screws were stripped. It took me less then 20 minutes to drive to Home Depot, get a bit to get the stripped screws out and take the bed apart.

During the move in the crew noticed much hardware missing from the furniture (one bed and two book cases). They went back and forth for a while before they decided to just get some lumber and cut it to size to replace the missing bed support. By the time we got to unpacking and setting things up we noticed that 1. The "lumber" they got was not only fit or supportive but simply tossed under the bed frame without actually attaching it. 2.

The slats on the bed normally run parallel and are screwed in into existing holes - the crew simply made new holes (see image) in the frame not evening bothering to keep the slats straight and missing to attach them in several places. 3. Our children's bed was "assembled". though I found supportive hardware in my children's closet later. 4. The replacement hardware for the bookcases did not fit and was thus useless and we were not able to place the shelves. 5.

Our TV, even though we provided the original box for transport, had a 3 inch scratch in the screen. We contacted the company spokes person within two weeks and almost three weeks later we have yet to get a response even. The impressions they left during the move were otherwise good, straight forward and "We will take care of that, Sir" type. All was accommodating until the bill was paid and then the "services" ended. At this point we can not recommend this company.

Do Not, DO NOT use this company!. In my opinion, and experience, the local agent is only in it for the money and has no care for the treatment of your items or you. Allied is also not the company you want to deal with. The insurance you purchase is not worth what will happen to your items. You will never recover from a move with them. They do not service anything on their moves.

I used Allied on a move from MO to ME in April of this year 2017. I purchased the extra insurance on my items for full replacement. As of today, nothing has been done and the Owner of Fox & Ginn told me that it was not his problem and I needed to contact Allied. Fox & Ginn took delivery of my Items from Kansas City and stored them for 2 months. I had to Pay for them to take the Delivery and for the Storage in advance, I was not informed, ever, of Items that were missing from the original delivery.

I found out about it when my goods were delivered to my home. Also there was alot of damage to my Antiques, and I was not informed of the damage at the time of the original delivery, and I have already told you what the Owner said to me about it after his men brought it to my home. I also had to pay to have them deliver my goods to my home. And they wanted me to pay them $140@hr to reassemble my items that had been taken apart during the move.

So far almost every Item has missing pieces. I do not know what will happen, since the Claims Rep has not had the common courtesy to contact me in any way since I submitted the claim in Sept. There was no way to give them 0 stars or negative stars. Beware of this company
