Despite a hectic moving season (July 2020) Ken and his team were flexible and highly communicative. Having moved many times ourselves (and have experienced many companies), we are cognizant of how stressful this process can be. This time was no different, moving my elderly mom from her longtime home out-of-State. They promptly did their job, graciously taking into account the heightened emotions of my mom, and their flexibility saved us hundreds as we were able to avoid costly storage and additional moving fees. Only sorry that we're not in the area to further take advantage of their services!

We were going to use this company because they had been a good value in the past. They were under quote on a couple previous small same day moves. This time however it was a multiple day move that was dependent on the closing time of the sale of the house we were moving into. I communicated this to the gentleman (Ken?) that came to take the quote MULTIPLE TIMES that we would need to move in potentially later in the afternoon.
I was told that it "wouldn't be a problem". I even confirmed the arrangement when I set up a time to come and load the truck the day before the closing. Cue getting a final time for our closing and communicating that to the same guy I was met with "I'm not sure we'll be able to do that, might have to wait until the next morning" I communicated to him that we had no place to stay that night and that we had planned on moving in the agreed upon date from the quote.
He told me that he sends his trucks out at 7am and couldn't guarantee that he could support and to give him a call him the day of the closing to find out. I told him that was not what he communicated to me during the quote. While raising his voice he told me that I needed to make plans to find someplace to stay and that he wasn't going to argue about it.
He was inflexible and unwilling to listen to my concerns. I was very put of by his attitude and the way I was treated as a repeat customer. Thankfully I found another company that could assure a move on the day necessary but I will not be using this company again.

I will never use Cormier movers again. The owner gave me an estimate (my fault for not insisting he come over and look at what I was moving -but I did tell him the number of bins I had) and he charged me more than double what his estimate was. He had only 3 guys to move my things, one had difficulties walking. But it gets worse. I was unable to go to with them to the storage unit, and when I finally got there 3 days later, there were open bins clothes on the floor a broken vase and my desk had scratches all over the top.
The bins are piled so high I can't see what condition the rest of my things are in. I reached out to the owner by text and email and haven't heard a response. Janet

I just had my up right full key piano moved locally by Cormier Movers. I can't be happier! It's a nice heavy piano very hard to move by my self so I looked for professional help! I found Cormier Movers online. Their reviews are mixed. I called Ken couple of times. He always answered the calls and answered my questions very patiently. They are professional movers and has insurance.
So I decided to give Cormier Movers a try! Two men came, with a big truck, Garry and Brian, they did excellent job! They were running a little late due to a job before my appointment. I called Ken the owner, he called the movers and let me know what exactly the time I should be expect them! They came 20 mins after scheduled time which I thing it's totally acceptable. They get the job done quickly and smoothly. Im very satisfied customer. I'd use them again. Thank you Cormier Movers!

I've moved several times in my advanced years and my experience with Ken and his team was by far the most positive, thanks to a friend for her recommendation. I, too, highly recommend them. They actually moved my belongings in two phases, several months apart, each as positive as the other. Had I known they provided cross country service I could have spared myself " the move from hell" when I returned to New England from the Midwest several years ago. Keep up the good work!

Mixed reviews. Moved a piano, great. Changed my time and day to early, poor! Ken was good in getting back to you, but he wants the business too, always on the road. Did not fully see the beginning of the storage unit unpacking. I am going thru it now, not sure all is there, til I get to the emptiness of the unit. And was not packed in unit well, organization not good. And off they were to the next move, but that is the business, maybe 2 in one day.

This company was top notch from the time I met with Ken Cormier for the quote, through the packing and moving, until the movers pulled away from my new home. Always available for questions. The guys were very professional yet friendly. They were very focused on caring for my belongings. The packing service was well worth the cost. This company is honest, professional and certainly took the stress out of my move. I found the cost to be very reasonable. Great people. Great company.

I've used them twice for city to city moves in NH and have been happy with them. As with allot of local movers, you get a professional guy and a few laborers. They blanketed the furniture once in the truck and I've never had anything damaged. They stayed true to the quoted price, and even added an extra stop for me to pick up a fridge somewhere. As to the negative reviews I would just suggest staying vigilant during the move.
If you see something you're worried about mention it to them. They've always been friendly and listened to my suggestions. I've hired them strictly for the moving, pack everything myself, and have a mattress bag ready for them to use. Certainly discuss with them ahead of time any extra services you may need.

Where do I start. We moved with Cormier Movers and put our furniture/ packed items in their "Climate Controlled Storage". When delivered, items were damaged including chewed sofa cushions, a large hole in desk drawer, dents and scratches, and broken glass/frames on artwork. Some items were missing and never delivered, animals were living in our furniture/packed items while in storage (by the debris left it was mice and chipmunks), and a pile of items delivered were not ours (chairs, exercise equipment, dirty towels and bags of junk) and some of it had been mixed in some of our packed boxes?!? The quoted price was not near the actually price. We were disappointed on all areas and will not use this company again.

My friend John hired them to move from Swampscott, MA to Berwick, ME. The three guys that showed up with the truck were all very professional. Nothing got damaged, and they took care to lay furniture pads all over the floors to ensure no mess was left behind. They worked very hard and did not waste any time. They asked John where he would like things put when they came off the truck.
All of them are very friendly, courteous and professional. I can't say anything about cost because John is the one that hired them, but what I do know is that I was there for a few of John's conversations with Ken on the phone and that he was very pleased with their service.

We had the very best experience with Cormier Movers recently, they moved a safe for us and also some other items that a mover I had hired couldn't move! We were stuck, had sold our house and our movers let us down at the very last minute after quoting that they could move all our items. We passed papers the next day and the safe was still in the house!
The buyer was also definitely not happy that our movers had left us in the lurch as they took possession of a house with a safe that they did not want. I called Cormier and truly can't say enough good, the owner Ken was personable and knowledgeable and made me feel at ease about the project, because at the point I was definitely uneasy! Ken and his men did the move quickly--they were professional, took great care with our items including the safe, and finished the move that the other movers couldn't. I should have used them in the first place, if you are considering a move call Ken at Cormier first. Laura S.

Overpriced, unprofessional and unresponsive. Needless to say steer clear of this company. My parents who are in their 80's hired this company. At least 10 days prior to their move to an assisted living situation, I contacted them on 4 separate occasions to go over their move details and had no response. At this point as my parents are elderly and were anxious about their move and as I had had no response from them I contacted them to let them know they we were canceling move and had had to hire another company, who, by the way, gave us a quote of $500 less than their quote of $2000 ( To move the contents of a 2 bedroom apt from Hampton, NH to Marlboro, Mass- approx 80 miles) When I wrote to the BBB regarding their lack of service it seems they had "amnesia" regarding all my previous correspondence with them.
My only request to them was to return my parent's $500 deposit as they provided no service. Under the circumstances, I feel that they took advantage of elderly people, firstly by overcharging them and secondly by not responding to any of my calls and emails on their behalf.

Hired these absolute SCUMBAGS to move from my old house in York to my new one across town, NEVER going to make that mistake again. I repair iPhones as a side job, and I had two that were fully repaired and ready to sell, so before I moved I put them in a closed box along with my tools and repair equipment and placed that box inside a cardboard moving box.
I made sure it didn't look like there was anything valuable inside and that it was very discreet as to not have any problems during moving. Upon receiving my belongings at my new house, I found the box that was containing my iPhones, and what do you know, the box was open, the two phones were gone, and the relatively inexpensive tools had been left inside.
I called them and spoke to the owner, who said he knew nothing about it but would talk to the guys that moved my stuff. I can almost guarantee that he didn't say a word to them, but even if he did, would they admit to it? Obviously not. In total the two phones were worth about $750, and Cormier would not cover any of my loss. DO NOT hire these scumbags, I guarantee you will regret it.

Lots of damage, over charged, unprofessional. My wife and I have moved twice internationally within the last 10 years. In our prior moves the movers were professional, our things were moved with care, and the final price for the moves was very similar to what was quoted. In August we move within NH (about 14 miles) with Cormier Movers and were very disappointed on all accounts.
We ended up with thousands of dollars of damage to our things (including some sentimental items), and damage to the home we moved out of and the new home we moved into. Cormier also lost our silverware, a few cutco knives, and other kitchen items. Cormier suggested they would only compensate us for a small fraction of the value of the damaged and lost items (base on the weight rather than the value).
In addition, Cormier charged us nearly double what they quoted for the move. The owner of the company did a thorough walk-through of our three bedroom home and provided a quote for $2,475 for packing, moving, and unpacking our home. However, the final price charged was $4,208, approximately 70% above the quote. The crew was very unprofessional, unproductive, and did not appear to be experienced.
The lead mover in charge of the crew was lazy and provided his inexperienced crew no direction. They were supposed to have everything packed and loaded into the truck by mid-day, and have us unpacked by the afternoon. When I saw very little was getting done and the crew was moving painfully slow or just standing around I started directing them- assigning different members of the crew to different tasks (packing boxes, moving things from certain rooms, loading the truck with things ready to go, etc).
I asked one of the guys to move all the boxes out of the basement and forgot he was in there. Two hours later I remember I hadn't seen him and went back down to the basement to find him still there. When things were finally unpacked from the truck I only later realized many pieces of furniture were either not re-assembled at all, or were only partially assembled.
We're appalled with how poorly this move was executed. We spent much more than quoted, are out thousands of dollars in damages, and will not using this company in the future.

They did a terrible job. They lost a lot of our furniture and wouldn't give any thing back without us paying them a lot of money. They still have our furniture won't make any attempt to find it. The other furniture was damaged. Huge cracks and gouges in the furniture. It was thrown in the truck to be delivered. They had a bunch of kids delivering he paid cash.
Totally unprofessional. The worst was I bought extra insurance to cover this kind of problem and he won't return my calls or help me. He said they will up his rates.! Ken Cormier is not a professional mover. Get your grandfather. He'd do better.

This is my second time using Cormier movers and both times went smoothly. Both moves were local, they showed up on time (or early), worked fast, always asked where I wanted things and were generally very pleasant. The price was as quoted and communication before the move was fine. Very pleased and would use them again.

I don't typically write reviews like this but I was so happy with the service I received I felt compelled to write. I used Cormier's for the first time last week. It was a local move from a 3rd floor apartment to a 3 story townhouse. The guys showed up on time. They were professional and very nice and they worked super hard. Got the total move completed in less time than anticipated. They managed to fit everything in the truck and not even a scratch on anything. I would use them again and highly recommend them to anyone!

Totally agree with Nate and Christin's post on this Company. " Ken, the owner, is a joke of a business man. I would not in anyway recommend this company because of him. His communication is extremely poor. If he picked up the phone and called us during any one of these "issues" it would have been a different story, but after everything we put up with, I hope no one else makes the same mistake we did." BEWARE.he will give you a low price (lower than other local reputable movers) just so he can win the bid.
Then when the move is over he will give you a bill for double. I don't know how he thinks he can get away with it. We had our quote and stuck to our guns on the overage charge. He got nothing! other than what he quoted us. Threatened to take us to court and screamed like a lunatic on the telephone. His poor workers where horrified (however, I have a feeling they are use to it) We were told we would have 2 trucks, only one showed up.
They had to take two trips. His workers are hard workers, some are knowledgeable, some not so much. We were moving from a luxury home, with lots of pricey furniture. He was short on help so he recruited his stepson and his friends, who have never moved before. His stepson dropped several pieces of furniture (trying to be macho) and an antique mirror.
I finally had to tell the man in charge I do not want him touching anything breakable. LACK of communication. Did not return calls, we had to call him for any information pertaining to our move.

Don t use them, zero communication from Ken as to when they would show up unless I called him, and they were very late once I did get an awnser. One truck loaded but showed up in two trucks and all my stuff was loose all over the truck like someone just threw the boxes in. No apology! The workers were good guys and hard working but as a company they totally SUCK.

Horrible! Don't use! Got quote which was to include moving 3 Harley's! Well when the move time came, they only needed to move 2 bikes but had no room on truck so charged me more ($700) to move them. Then transported then on an open trailer not protected well, which resulted in scratches on both bikes! The worst move of my life! DO NOT USE

We used Cormier movers back in September and had a great experience with them. I was a little concerned after reading reviews on yelp but had already met with Ken and felt comfortable with him so I was hoping for the best. We were only moving around the corner literally 7 houses away but because of the closing date we needed to have the stuff out of our existing house the day before.
We had to have our stuff packed up on Saturday and not delivered until Monday. We had two different crews one that packed us and one that unpacked and they were both very careful with our stuff, very courteous to us and very accommodating. They wrapped everything and and took great care and concern for our items. When they unpacked they carefully placed items where we wanted them.
They also helped carry in boxes from the garage as they had extra time since the move was so close. I would definitely recommend Cormier Movers in the future. Thanks for a great job guys : Lisa & Carl

We used Cormier Movers and we extremely pleased with all aspects of our move. The movers were so professional, kind, and fast working. We had our belongings put into their storage facility and then moved again to our home 5 weeks later. Both crews were excellent - setting up all our furniture and all. The quote we received was below other quotes and we paid exactly what was quoted. I really enjoyed working with Ken the owner who is a true professional.

Poor service/customer service. Gave us signed estimate about three - four weeks before move. Day of, arrived late, informed us they were not told of move until last minute. After taking some of our furniture, told us they could not move our entire belongings due to only having half a truck free. We were okay with this - then told us they only had a limited amount of time to move us - we were also okay with this. Brought our furniture back to our apartment and told us they had to complete a previous job, would come back later that evening and complete our move - we were very happy with this.
Later received a call from owner informing us that our move would not be completed till the following day - we were NOT happy about this. After complaining, he offered a whole $25 refund. I said "okay." Wrote an email about our dissatisfaction and then got a call back from owner informing us they would not complete our move. They left us hanging to find movers on a Sunday - when we had to be out of our apartment by Friday w/ no time off of work. This was our 4th move in 4 years, always completed moves on own - first time ever had to hire someone (due to being pregnant). Very unhappy & would not recommend!

They are interested in you till they have the business. Once you pay the deposit you will get to see the other side of the moon. Ken as well as the movers had an attitude issue. When we were getting the final bill Ken charged me for something that was never explained to me. Had I known this before I would have never gone for this comapny. The movers were very rude to me and to my kids. He yelled at me. I will never recommend them to anybody.
