Max McGowan, the owner of Highway 401 Storage, is pictured here with his assistant and faithful companion, Rory. Max graduated from Marquette University and completed a post graduate certification in marketing at Harvard Business School. Early in his career, Max worked as the Sports Information Director at Marquette under coach Al McGuire, as well as for Newsweek magazine as a Sports Reporter.
Max then worked in advertising for 12 years until 1982 when he opened his own ad agency in Chicago. In 2005, Max sold the agency to his employees, moved to Pinehurst, NC and built Hwy 401 Storage facility.

The storage units were very nice and clean. The gate keypad didn't work on some of the keypads and you had to got one further away and had to get out of your vehicle to use it. There was no way to return the uhaul we rented the online website didn't work so we h as d to put key in the key drop and call the company in the morning witch we didn't like doing. But all seemed to go okay this time around.
