Incredible company and skillful, friendly movers. They were quick and careful with our items, all of which were pretty large, and were able to move everything into our new place in less than 4 hours. Not that I plan on moving anytime soon, but if I ever need movers again, I'll be calling Economy Movers for sure!

They came recommended from a friend as I needed a moving company to move from Fishkill to White Plains. Jim was great, always available by phone when I had questions. We recently hired Jim Thorne of Economy Movers to move us from an apartment into our condo. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we were uncertain if they would be able to move us on our scheduled date. We were anxious to move before the Sunday, 8:00 pm deadline that the governor decreed regarding essential business. We called Jim on the Friday before the work stoppage and he moved us that Sunday. The movers showed up on time, called us when they were on the way, and did an excellent job. Thank you Jim for your great service. Much appreciated.

When I asked around for moving company recommendations, three different sources recommended Jim and his Economy Movers. Now I see why. Returned my initial call within a day. Returned my email of questions within a few hours. An incredibly challenging move on a hot day was handled efficiently and carefully. The workers were cheerful and accommodating.

The price was reasonable, I got a "heads up" call a half-hour before arrival, and my unlabeled boxes miraculously made it to the right rooms. My stress level on moving day was completely erased once they swung into action. I highly recommend them.

This is the best moving company we have ever used! Jim and his team are fast, efficient and helpful. They are also super friendly and affordable. We have a baby and were a bit flustered and hungry. Excellent and Reliable We used Economy movers to take furniture from central to northern New York. Jim and his crew were fast, efficient, and very careful with all of our belongings - with everything delivered 150+ miles away (actually to 2 locations) in perfect condition. Jim and his team did an excellent job with our move from Poughkeepsie to Westchester. They were efficient, professional, and worked hard to fit a particularly challenging piece of furniture into our new apartment. They were also very conscious of our cats and made sure they didn't slip out during the move, which we really appreciated. I can't say enough about Jim and his crew at Economy Movers. We had a large move with large pieces of furniture with some tight areas that needed to be navigated. They were up to the challenge and all the time were very focused on taking good care of our furniture. They were reasonably priced (below the competition) and did an unbelievably professional job. Jim and his crew were courteous, helpful, and professional. If you need to move, you cannot go wrong with these guys.

We love them! They showed up EXACTLY on time and were courteous and professional.and genuinely nice guys as well! They gave an honest estimate that was still well below the prices other movers gave. They moved us completely in one day in under four hours. They put everything where we needed it and never made us feel like they didn't want to help or like they were wasting time.

The job would've taken use twice as long to do ourselves. The truck was clean and they took extra special care with furniture and any box that I labeled as fragile. Nothing got dinged, broken, or scuffed. We will be using them for sure the next time we move, and recommending them to everyone we know! THANK YOU GUYS for making this the easiest move I ever had!

They answered all our questions and gave a fair estimate. They arrived when they said they would in a clean truck. They wrapped up all the mattresses and padded all the furniture. When we arrived at the new house they worked quickly. They set up our king sized bed, too. We wholeheartedly recommend them.

After getting a $2,000 supposedly itemized estimate from a name-brand mover in my area, to move less than the contents of my small, 3-bedroom house, I contacted Economy Movers. Even charging me for the 1 1/2 hour drive to & from my home from their location, in addition to the packing & moving time, 2 men & a truck were able to accomplish my move for under $1,000.

The 2 men were very professional, using multiple packing blankets & boxes to protect my belonging as I would; there was absolutely no damage to anything! They were polite, patient, & helpful--everything I could have hoped for in a decidedly stressful situation. They, successfully, moved a monster treadmill for me, without complaint, even though it required taking it partially apart!

Before they left my new home, they insured that treadmill, computer, & TV all worked. They positioned furniture & treadmill to my liking, even making suggestions on the arrangement of the living room furniture, to maximize my living space. They were, absolutely, great! I've used Economy Movers for two in-town moves and they've done a great job both times. They arrived on time and got the job done very quickly. I don't have any priceless furniture or possessions but they were appropriately careful with everything they moved. One difference between Economy Movers and other companies is that Economy has a 2 hour minimum while others have 4 or 4.5 hour minimums, so you know you aren't going to overpay on time. And on both of my moves the crews worked very quickly (they didn't needlessly add time). A great value and a great experience both times.

Jim and his guys moved a piano for us. It was over 500 pounds and is very important to my family. They did stuff that was above and beyond what was expected and they charged much less than their competitors. They are awesome! Not a scratch on the piano or on the tight staircase that they had to bring the piano up. I highly recommend these guys!
