The company now has eleven full time employees, nine moving vans, and a 15,000 square foot warehouse lease fully equipped for vaulted storage. Redwood Moving is also affiliated with Stevens Van Lines. Bob is a native Santa Rosan and has been married to his wife Cris for 15 years. They have Paul, Valerie, and Shawn.
On moves exceeding 100 miles, whether it originates from or destined to Sonoma County, Redwood Moving & Storage expertly arranges all aspects. Redwood's hands-on approach means the company's involved from start to finish in coordinating packing, scheduling a driver for pickup and moving, and handling concerns or situations as they arise.
For storage needs, our 15,000 square foot facility offers an impressive amount of storage space. Storage is in five-by-seven-by-seven foot wood vaults and, unlike mini-storage units, are not accessible to the public. The contents are inventoried and the rental price includes limited coverage for lost or damaged items. The vaults are kept in a temperature controlled, pest-free environment.
Well, now that the dust is settling, I have a chance to look back on my experience of the last few weeks and ponder the great service your company provided during my move. Paul and Johny were the best. They treated my goods with respect and handled the precious ones gingerly. I am pleased to report that nothing was broken.

Redwood moving was such a refreshing experience. They made the trauma of moving out of our home of 28 years as seamless as possible. Don was very thorough in our initial consultation and the 4 movers could not have been more helpful and careful and respectful. A day that I dreaded turned out to be so much better than I could have hoped.

Recently we moved from Eureka to Santa Rosa and used Redwood Moving & Storage because a professional in the area had used them many times and recommended them to many of the families she worked with over the past decades who relocated to the area. We were not disappointed. Paul Frazier took great care of the quote process and was fair and upfront about every detail.
The office manager, Lisa did her best to keep the lines of communication going, even with PG&E power outages for 4 days during our quote and acceptance process. We only paid for the exact weight of our load. If the original estimate was higher than the actual weight after it was loaded and weighed, then they lower the price to the exact weight. If the original estimate was lower than the exact weight after it was loaded and weighed, they honor the original estimate and don't charge us the actual weight of our possessions and increase the price.
How much more fair could a company be? Also, other companies made us pay up front, where Redwood Movers does not. How can you lose or be hurt? In addition, the crew of Mel, David, Daniel and Angel worked without slacking off for the entire 8 hours and I did not have one occasion where I observed any lack of care, effort or service. We were running behind on our packing and the crew did a nice job of helping us pack up our last things and saved us a lot of time and hassle.
Our belongings were treated with care and respect and there was no damage to anything of any significance. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and Redwood Moving & Storage are the best movers I have every worked with in over 40 years and approximately 25 moves over my life on both the east and west coasts. So refreshing to find honest, ethical and caring people. I highly recommend this company.

I recently moved out of state from Santa Rosa, CA. Among all of the planning, coordinating, packing and cost of moving, Redwood Moving and Storage managed to make things less complicated. From start to finish my experience with Redwood Moving and Storage was positive. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone considering hiring them. Don was my point person and I was especially pleased with the way he kept me updated as our timeline moved, starting with getting a quote and leading up to a driver delivering our belongings. Don not only answered my questions, he also provided helpful suggestions and insights to help me make decisions even beyond the scope of the job itself.
The driver also communicated effectively and promptly to update us of his anticipated arrival, and unloading the truck was a quick process. The movers were very helpful, careful, and friendly. Thank you for making a chaotic moment in my life more manageable.

We had a need for emergency movers to move an expensive wine fridge in damaged packaging from our front porch and into our home, it had to happen right away as we were concerned that was in danger of tipping over. I called around and no one could help but when I spoke to Redwood Moving they were empathetic to our situation and had two guys at our house within 2 hours of my call! The movers were nice and professional and the fridge was moved into place without incident. A bad situation that worked out smoothly thanks to Redwood Moving.

Don't use these guys, they damage your furniture, they force you to pay for the insurance and then they will not ppay for any damage done. I moved from Santa Rosa to Arizona and used Redwood Moving & Storage (RM&S) a couple of tiems. Once during the restoration after the fiews in Octobe 2017, they seemed to do fine then. I next decided to use them to leave the Calivornia.
They showed up late to load the truck, then they tell me the drive for the out of state mover(Stevens Worldwide Moving and Storage) had a falling out with the discpatcher, he didn't show up when he was suppose to. Day benind, moved the furniture to storage, then to trucks of RM&S. we proceeded to Arizona to our new home. waited a week in our new home. Received a call from RM&S totell us they didn not have a driver to deliver our goods.
I informed them we had a contract and expected it to be followed. It ws, RM&S showed up with a truck, and a driver, three locals then showed up to offload. The movements were so rapid that we had no time to inspect each item as it rolled off two pieces of equipment of RM&S. I spoke with the driver and he said that would be ok because they understand the circustances surrounding off loading.

We had a great experience with Redwood Moving and Storage. I believe the owner is Bob and he was great and professional. We had a big job, and he even did some packing himself. Mel was in charge, and he did a great job as well. They all worked very hard and the guys were fabulous. They had huge valuable antique pieces to move downstairs and we never heard a bump or anything.
We have been unpacking for 2 months and have found nothing to be damaged so far. I want to give a shout out to the young guys. Daniel (AKA Perfect!), Ryan Collins and Johnny (AKA blue eyes) were VERY professional, very positive and helpful going out of their way to help us move garage sale stuff too, which was not included in the move. If I missed anyone I am sorry, because they were all great and polite at all times.
When we ran short of time at the end, the guys jumped in to help us finish packing. Mel even gave my mom back money after the move and they did the initial move in 2 days rather than 3 to help with our travel time and our cost. Great job everyone. We would highly recommend them! Thank you!

I recently worked with Redwood for my move. Every person I interacted with was great from the phone staff to the person who did my initial site visit, to the two guys who did the actual move. I liked the fact that you come out and look at the job first and provide an estimate - very professional, courteous, efficient, friendly. The two movers took great care of my possessions with careful preparation and packing - including hard to move big potted plants, and were very friendly, efficient, etc. I've already recommended your company to others and will continue to do so. Just finished a move. We had stored our furniture and many boxes we had packed with Redwood Moving & Storage. They came to our home and packed the rest of our belongings. All was delivered to our new home in excellent shape. The three individuals assigned to our move were fantastic - meticulous in how they handled the furniture and boxes and also very personable and helpful. We would definitely use them again!

We used Redwood Moving and storage two years ago while remodeling in Healdsburg. Lisa Martinez gave a quote over the phone, as they did not have an estimator. When the move was done, we were charged $850.00 more than we were quoted. We were not told that our items were going to be in containers that were not inventoried and that there was a charge to get into them.
We were also not told that you had to use their movers. We recently finished the remodel and they moved our things back into our home. The number of things damaged and broken is ridiculous. The mover explained that the containers get moved around frequently while in storage. Once the move was finished, we paid them. Later, Lisa Martinez demanded more money for the move. This company is dishonest and over charges, they are also inaccurate in the number of hours they charge for.

Wonderful experience with this company! Professional movers that took great care in handling our items. The office staff answered all our questions and provided detailed information so we knew what to expect on the day of our move. Crew showed up on time and got the job done carefully and efficiently. Will be needing to store some antique items in the near future and will most definitely be calling Redwood Moving & Storage to handle the job!

We hired Redwood Moving and Storage to move a gigantic refrigerator that we had purchased. I can't say enough good things about the crew that was here. They were prompt, professional, friendly and displayed a sense of humor while trying to wrestle the megabeast into the house. I would recommend them to anyone.

Maybe these people are O.K. with moving things from one place to another as I read the other reviews but I know we all paid more than most for that service. What I have to say is that this is a terrible place to have anything STORED.! Believe me, I kept 9 "vaults there for almost three years that was a necessity due to an estate issue. It was like having my things in prison.
If I wanted to get anything out it would cost me $325.00-425.00 dollars to just open my vaults and there wasn't an inventory that could help me from having to open all 9 vaults to find something. It cost me $650.00 to JUST open and empty the vaults to move out (due to their "RULES") and I couldn't use my own people to do anything. They had to do the moving at $100/ hr and it took them 4hrs to empty the vaults! WORST OF ALL- they broke an antique china cabinet that was worth over $6,000.00 dollars (insured for more) but they would only pay me.67cents per pound for my cabinet that they admitted to breaking but clearly could not have cared less while throwing a claim form at me with a broken family heirloom ruined and not insured for breakage.
They lost the broken pieces so it could not be repaired-totally irresponsible and uncaring people. They closed us out in the pouring rain while I was moving from their warehouse because I didn't hire them to move my things. The person "in charge" complained about the "previous management" to me and was very unprofessional about all of their "problems" with organization and employee problems.
The front desk woman (Lisa)was so manipulative that it was like walking on eggs to talk to her. Don't believe a word of her rhetoric because when push comes to shove she just shrinks into the background and all the while I believed her rules were bottom line-not so-she just makes things up to get off the phone or to make more money for her boss-whatever the reason-I was duped. Please, save yourself a lot of money and heartache -GO SOMPLACE ELSE for your storage needs.

Great experience with Redwood moving. They made a potentially very stressful day very smooth. Real pros, no damage. They did charge for their lunch hour and breaks and at the end of the day rounded up the bill to the nearest hour, but we still felt we got good value. The guys were literally running between the trucks and the house to get it done quickly. They were open to us helping bring the stuff to and from the trucks, which also helped save on time.

The move would have been perfect except for the hidden cost of over $1400 which just appeared on our credit card. The guys from Stevens Worldwide Van Lines were amazing! Jason and Darnell not only arrived on time but helped get 55 boxes and all the furniture unpacked and put away in 5 hours! They are completely awesome, professional, friendly and nothing broke!
It was snowing/raining.they protected the house, the floors, the stuff and the furniture. Redwood Moving packed everything perfectly and except the ditz who rarely returned emails from Redwood Moving in Healdsburg (the owner rocks.his secretary is to be avoided at all costs) everything went perfectly. Perfectly! And I expected the worst. Kudos to a company that kept their word.
Just consummate professionals. I must reiterate however that we almost cancelled because of the lack of response of the "office manager" of Redwood. ONLY communicate with the owner.no idea why he keeps her? I would have given them five stars EXCEPT the completely irresponsible Lisa Martinez and the hidden charges.
