If I could give them 0 star I would! Their drivers could NOT even wait for 10 minutes! I do not recommend this company! Horrible customer service!

Island movers delivers Home Depot's stuff. My delivery was supposed to be on Tuesday. NOT Monday. NOT Wednesday. My paperwork says Tuesday! So I stayed home all day for these guys because they give you 6 am to 8pm. You are stuck staying home. Island movers changed the delivery day without telling me. Which would have been ok if someone had just called and said so.

But no one bothered to call. The result: You get a pissed off customer on the phone. It's called customer service. If a courtesy call had just been made. This review would never have happened

Island Movers brought our furniture from the Honolulu Habor safely to our home. We're very pleased with the service we received. They also came out to pick up the used boxes! Nice touch!

We have used these movers several times. My husband is retired military and during the course of his military assignments we moved back and forth from Hawaii a couple of times. We never really had any problems. This last move was on our dime. I'm not sure if that was why everything was different or it was something else. I found our possessions to be very sloppily packed.

They packed a laundry basket full of clothes (that I was going to donate) as is. in the basket, not in a box, just the basket of clothes. They packed a basket full of garbage. There are multiple packers and one person to watch them. So a small bathroom garbage basket with garbage was sent from Hawaii to my new home in Arizona. The worst thing they did was how they packed my baby grand piano.

They took it apart and took it somewhere else to pack it. When it came to my new home they didn't put any cushion (blankets) around the piano. It was resting on cardboard which was resting on the wood framing. So my piano was scratched. It even has a small crack in it. My husband thought that because all of the other moves had gone fine we didn't need the insurance.

So they pay 60 cents per pound for damages. That didn't pay for the repair to the scratches on my piano. I'm not even going to discuss the other things that were damaged. Be aware that they can do this. Watch them carefully. Don't trust that all moves are going to be the same.

We had our leather sofa delivery from Costco and they Chris and Jason help us moved the old sofa to the garage. They were very professional and took great care of moving our new leather sofa and set up.

The absolute worst moving experience in my entire life! VERY disrespectful and angry luna (lead mover) set a horrible tone for his four person crew. To think I paid more since it was a Saturday only to have an excruciatingly stressful experience is maddening. On top of that, items were damaged and missing and their adjuster only issued at $60 check after me waiting for many months.

After emailing twice requesting an itemized explanation, I remain waiting for this months later. There were so many shades of messed up with this move that I don't want to waste my time writing about in this review. Run, don't walk away from Island Movers! See more on Yelp.

Fabulous experience! Moved 65 year old furniture and lamps from Honolulu to Florida. Arrived in pristine condition. Not a scratch! What was truly amazing, is it poured for three days on the lanai furniture before it was packed for shipping. I expected black mold and mildew on all of the cushions. Amazingly, they were in perfect shape when they arrived.

I expected 4 months for delivery, the furniture came in two. The cost was extremely reasonable. Extremely! Like, less than 50% of what I expected to pay. I was kept informed, by their staff, on absolutely every step of the way. From packing, to shipping, to arrival in CA and transfer to FL. This is a very efficient, honest, and high class operation.

They were extremely careful with some priceless possessions, and I am forever grateful. Do not hesitate to give Island Movers your business! They made a very scary and difficult situation a walk in the park. Thank you all, so very, very much! Marjorie Arnett

I had a great experience with Island Movers. I moved from a condo in Honolulu to the east coast. From my initial inquiry with Teresa, to the evaluation with Christine, to the packers John & William (who were incredibly fast!), to the billing with Brianne. Everything was easy, well communicated and handled with care.

Purchased two large appliances with Home Depot and after my horrible experience with DSR and their inability and incompetence to complete the delivery/installation/hauling service (over the course of 4 months), and after canceling with DSR and scheduling an appointment with Island Movers for a couple days later, they came to the rescue and got the job done within 20 minutes. Robert, Harry, and Christian were all so kind, communicative, and fun.

They seemed like they enjoyed their job, despite the heavy moving and completely empathized with my experience with DSR. They even said they usually get a lot of angry customers from DSR that switch to their service and don't understand why the people at DSR can't seem to do their job right. They also did their very best to make sure the newly installed appliances were installed properly and were working well.

We were even given clear instructions on how to continue to make sure it is working properly, and if not, to call Home Depot within 72 hours to get a new one delivered or to get someone to come by to repair it right away. Thank you for your service. It was greatly appreciated!

TERRIBLE SERVICE! Came up with every excuse to not do the work they were already PAID to do and didn't know how to do basic installation. DO NOT HIRE THEM

This company doesnt even deserve to have a 1 star. This delivery service is a joke of a company. Trying to get a hold of your dispatch worker (April) all day and the voicemail box is full and does not return phone calls. Is your dispatch office even open on weekends? Is this how you folks treat customers? Where is your customer service? I havent even received my delivery yet and im still waiting on some sort of status update from you folks. Very disappointing.

Island Movers Hilo (Hawaii Island) were excellent. Setting up the delivery time was easy. Communication was exemplary, they made sure every step of the way that there was follow-through and that we knew what was going on. Lawrence and Ru's service was outstanding from beginning to end. They were careful, courteous and expert at their job. This company are an uplifting ray of professional sunshine during these challenging times - we highly recommend their service.

Five stars for Island Movers. We were recipients of an unexpected Christmas gift by Island Movers. Sitting at a red light and BANG! We were rearended and YOU caused a serious four car collision. Thank you SO much for ruining our Christmas! Cheers Island Movers you are the BANG

Unfortunately I'd now give zero or negative star review to this previously beloved company. Hired them for them again after dozens of professional moves by Island Movers and this last move, a couple of months ago, was BY FAR the Worst EVER move possibly imaginable. We're not emotionally over what me and my husband experienced so I can't say a lot right now but I'll be back when I'm less traumatized.

In short: RUDE, beyond belief from the moment arrived and well past the time anyone should have still been in our new unit. Damaged and scratched furniture/art; particularly our only two furniture items of value even after we requested proper handling. We and our ohana and friends have always used Island Movers for many decades. This experience was beyond disappointing and unacceptable on so many levels. It's not about the charge, it's about the complete and total lack of mutual respect that we endured to a breaking point by this Saturday crew. just absolutely abhorrent to say the least. So sad, no words.

Used for a military move. Got half my stuff almost a month ago. You call and they say they will update you. and you call again hours later and get the same response. then you'll be looking at them being closed for the day. still no update. Terrible communication. We just want our stuff! First set of movers were good but I'm over sleeping on an air mattress!

Rue and Lawrence came on time to remove my old refrigerator and to deliver a 20 cu. Ft. refrigerator from Costco. They were no easy tasks. My house is in the old section of town and has small doors. They took great care and huge effort to get it in the house. Their professionalism and expertise were astounding! They had to take off the screen, the door as well as the fridge/freezer doors. Then, put everything back flawlessly.

They knew exactly how to navigate even though there was a big fridge between them. The are friendly and wonderful people. Thank you so much! You both are amazing! Your effort is much appreciated!

I'm so happy with the service provided by Island Movers today. They called the day before to inform me when they would arrive. Blake & Mefy were dressed neatly and wearing masks. They introduced themselves, asked for a quick tour and immediately got to work. I had many large pieces furniture to move up many stairs. My items had different dispositions but they handled every item correctly.

There was no damage and their work was completed two hours before estimated time. They worked constantly with no breaks and were awesome. I couldn't believe their efficiency. Their estimator was also great. She came when requested and provided a same day estimate. I'd definitely recommend Island Movers. Mahalo Island Movers!

Just now here on Kahuanui St. Waipahu. Darn delivery truck is speeding and driving erratically. VERY DANGEROUS driver. PUC should be revoked. smh

I've never used any moving service before. ever. Moved from Mainland to Oahu. Big scary move for me. I used PODS to load up and ship. My stuff was in Mililani facility. Let me say PODS service was great. BUT because of my steep driveway and narrow street, I did not think it would work dropping the POD off and unloading myself. I figured have movers meet me at the POD facility and reload everything into their moving truck and deliver to my new house.

I took a chance with Island Movers, recommended by my realtor. I got a written estimate. They got the city permit to block front of my house night before. Day of move, those guys showed up EARLY. Emptied my POD into their loading truck warp speed. Just as quickly, those guys moved all my stuff into my house. FAST. NOTHING BROKEN OR DAMAGED. They got done earlier than estimated. They charged BELOW the original estimate. MUCH thanks to Mike, KC, Alberto and Chantelle. This experience could not have been better- really.

I just had a new washing machine delivered by this company. After delivery they - without my knowledge - took my old washing machine away. Unfortunately I needed the old machine as part of my home sale and wanted it back. I called the next morning at 7:00 AM - I had the drivers phone number since they called me when they showed up for the delivery - and got no answer and their mailbox was full.

So they dumped my washing machine off at Hammerhead into a pile of other appliances. When I called their dispatchers essentially I was told that they refused to return to Hammerhead to retrieve my washing machine. In short "that's the breaks pal". Now two things here 1) I should have been told in no uncertain terms that they were taking my old machine and 2) I they should have been available by phone to correct this error.

But probably the most astounding part of this was they told me this happens often! Really? Often? Bottom line: you're better off renting a U-Haul, stopping by the homeless shelter and hiring 2 or 3 homeless guys and moving yourself! I cannot more forcefully advise you to use someone - anyone - else to move your valuables.

My Costco Washer & dryer. My fault, was delivered to my work 30 seconds away from my house. BUT! After receiving confirmation the driver was on his way (no address confirmation) and would install and REMOVE old units they delivered Washer & Dryer, was supposed to setup the new and remove old machines. Just Dropped new units in the driveway and left.

No contact, no signature, nothing. When I called the office they said, they cant help today, they need a new work order from Costco and they would have to schedule for another day. You would think a local company would try to help you out. But no. No compromise. Costco said they would contact me ASAP and reschedule to take to the correct address and do what I paid for. I had to do it myself. What a waste of time. Don't use this company, you may have to end up doing everything yourself even if you paid and hassle to get refunded.

Ignorance was bliss when Home Depot hired another local third party company to install our new dryer in our home. The red flag should have been when the "head installation manager" of that company told us to leave a good review for them online for their services. Before they left they told us that our circuit breaker was broken and not to use the new dryer until an electrician came, or we could be liable for damages.

Well an electrician came and said our circuit breaker was fine! Our new dryer was leaking water, destroying our clothes from extra long dry times, and just wreaking havoc. Something you would expect from an old dryer not a new one. Then I requested that Home Depot send Island Movers. What a difference between the two companies! Not just in professionalism and accountability, but just the simplicity of one doing their job and doing it correctly.

When Island Movers installed the new dryer, the same model as our previous dryer, they noticed that our drain hose (that was included with the manual) was not installed AT ALL by the previous company! They even knew to turn off our circuit breaker before hand, hence showing they read the manual, which the other company did not do. They even went the extra mile to show us that our dryer's power cord outlet was set up wrong and showed us how to zip tie it so it would prevent future damage to the cord.

When they were done, they taped easy start instructions on the dryer for our first use. They of course checked the heat and the dryer's functionality before they left. They then thanked us afterwards and never once asked us to leave a review. But I had to! It seems like these days that accountability and to ask people to do their job, is asking for too much.

When you come across people that truly appreciate their job and enjoy what they are doing, it shows in their service. Island Movers thank you for turning our unpleasant experience into a pleasant one. Thank you for doing your job and doing it well! We appreciate honest hardworking people such as your employees at Island Movers :)

They were so unprofessional and disrespectful to our friends that are so sweet, break your stuff, oh well! My wife almost got hit in the face with a strap and no sorry, no respect. Definitely would never recommend this company.

Very good service! So happy to get my shipment from China! So island movers gets all the over seas shipments from the shipment boats and Island Movers will offer shipping to your door! It was a great price tok and the staff that assisted the drop off were really nice and courteous. Will recommend if you ever have to file an ISF for a shipment from China. Be sure to keep in touch with island movers to bring your shipment from ship dock to your home.

Awesome moving service! I can't believe how quick they were at moving all of our stuff! They told me it would take 2 days to move all of our stuff after the inspection and they did it all in 1 day. Really friendly and very respectful staff. Thank you all so much for your help during this stressful time in my life! Update: We received all of our stuff and everything was so nicely packed that nothing was broken. We were so worried because on our way to the island we had a few things broken.

Such a shame for Costco to use a delivery company like this. Island Movers delivered a stove without all the accessories included in the box. When I called to request for them, the rep was not willing to provide the missing parts and abruptly hung up the phone. The manager said she personally checked the boxes, found all the accessories I was missing and had another guy deliver.

What got delivered was still incomplete. The best part was the guy that delivered the supposedly all the missing parts said the manager never looked at what he was delivering. Well, ended up contacting LG for the parts and got them a month later.

Island Movers was the first time I ever hired a moving company. I'm used to renting a U-Haul or having friends and family help. Originally, we had planned to move our stuff from Oahu to Maui via Pods, but when it got to 5 weeks before our move, I was told Pods was not an option. Scrambling on short notice, I called all moving companies on island.

Island Movers had the friendliest employee to quote us, was able to fit us in on short notice on a holiday weekend and was reasonably priced. 75% of the quote was due at pick up and the remaining 25% would be due at drop off after they get a more accurate weight from when our pallet is shipped. I didn't know what to expect and had 85% of my house packed and ready to go at pick up.

Island Movers were professional and careful with all of our belongings. For anything not boxed, they had all of their packing materials ready to go took care of everything. For our bedroom furniture they un-assembled and reassembled the bed frame and padded the dressers and nightstands. It was weird waiting on the side and just delegating, but overall it was a really positive experience.

Rain or shine. today was the second time this contracted company delivered an item we purchased from Sears. Full of smiles, three men arrived with our new highly anticipated refrigerator. So excited I heard part of the instructions for cooling the freezer to recommended temperatures and not to use 2-3 gallons of water to clear the line. Also dump the first batch of ice.

I didn't have to say a thing, they removed their shoes, carefully moved our fridge in the front door and into the arched doorway of the kitchen. Was worried about marks on the new light floor but these men are experts using great care and caution. The first man did the paperwork and hooked up the new water kit. The other two men were so tall, brought it in and removed the protective covering on both doors. These uncles loved our fur baby and the feeling was mutual. So glad they called to ask I if they could come earlier. Wonderful employees. Mahalo
