Answer: The price of a move is generally based on the weight, the origin and the final destination of the shipment. Most estimates provide the rate to move in "cost per hundred pounds" (CWT) which is based on the estimated weight of the shipment. Final charges are based on the actual weight of the shipment.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Absolute worst experience of any move we have ever move. Here is the short version of our experience: We hired World Wide Movers to move us from Oregon back to Alaska in August 2021. First problem, they called two days prior to our scheduled packing date and said they couldn't move us. We were rescheduled for a day later.
Then the packers showed up 5 hours late due to not inputting the correct city in their gps. Next, we were quoted a two to three week moving time frame. Six weeks later, we still had not heard from them. Called and was told our belongings were in Anchorage; they didn't say for how long. I had to call back two more times before being given a delivery date.
Then we were required to pay 100% charges before they would deliver to our house. (All other moving companies have done 50% before and 50% after delivery.) Items were delivered to our house. None of our furniture items were wrapped or covered. All of our furniture items they transported were damaged. Additionally five boxes of household belongings, including an entire kitchen pack box, two brand new nightstands in flat packs, and a large brand new mirror, were lost by the movers.
The only thing World Wide Movers did was to send a cleaning service out to attempt to clean the dark stains out of the sofa and ottoman. The cleaning service advised us that the damage was from water and would not come out of the dry-clean only fabric. Our leather chairs are punctured and scratched. Our wood table and stools have multiple scratches, and our very expensive wood bed has gouges and scratches on the headboard.
I spent two days completing and filing claims forms, sending photos and other documentation. They have not contacted us since then. It is now mid-December 2021. I filed a transaction dispute with my Visa company at this point, as I do not believe World Wide Movers will do anything further.

Run! While you still can. We had this company out to move us. Two of their men got into a physical altercation in our house, one hit the other with a box and racial slurs were exchanged while our 2 young children we in the house. Initially the management team apologized, but as I was told by that same management team "it is what it is, sometimes people don't get along". Don't waste your money. Hire someone else who is reputable, because this company is not.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness Called and asked for information and the person who answers the phone shrugged me off like my business didnt matter. The person who knows the pricing isn't in and wont be in until much later today? Why does no one at the office have any information about their moving services. only one guy?

I've hired many movers in my life and I have never been more disappointed in my decision to hire World Wide Movers. I agreed upon 2 men and a truck for my move across town. They showed up with three men nearly 30 minutes late. They worked for 40 minutes and then they took a break! Smoking cigarettes and playing on their cellphones - mean while I am paying an hourly rate.
I asked them if their break was over and the mover with the worst attitude replied "almost".I have never seen a mover take a break during a 2 hour move. I emailed the office as this man also sat in my driveway pulling his shirt up over his belly and scratching his private areas while waiting for the other two movers bring him boxes. The office folk were responsive but the response was unsatisfactory.
At the end they made me sign something that said everything was received and not broken which how would I know until everything was unpacked. Save yourself the hassle - don't hire these people.
