This is a great company. I've used them twice now, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Milan, my rep, remembered me from the first time I used them, and he went out of his way to make sure I got a great rate. And the movers were fast and did a really good job.

I just left this review on Yelp, but I'm gonna paste it here just to share my gratitude again: We recently from NYC to MD with Capital City Movers, and were very pleased with the entire process. Their representative (Marco) was very helpful in talking through the estimate and the logistics-- very responsive and friendly throughout. The movers showed up on time, and moved everything quickly and safely, which was especially impressive given our tiny elevator in NYC. All of this, plus their very competitive pricing, left us very satisfied.

This is a broker not a moving company. They sell your job to the lowest bidder. They charged me 6k then I had to pay their lowest bidder another 4k after my belongings were loaded. That's not including the 4k I had to give the lowest bidder when my belongings arrived before they would unlock and start unloading. Then they didn't have all my items and said, " we'll try to get them to you". STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

I used Capital City Movers for a local move from Manhattan to Queens as well as a move from NYC to central PA. In both cases, the movers were fast and packed everything very carefully and securely. No delays, nothing damaged, everything placed exactly where we wanted. The second move needed to be rescheduled several times, and Capital City was very responsive and flexible.

There are less expensive options out there, but having experienced the nightmare of slow and unresponsive budget movers in the past, it is worth the extra cost to use actual professionals and avoid the scams and incompetence that unfortunately plague the moving industry. That said, each of the moves was priced very reasonably and below a lot of competitors quotes, and worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Amazing work from Carlos and the team of movers, and coordinating with Steve was very easy despite the move being just 2-days out with details still in flux. The movers deliver very efficient and quality work, safely dissembling and moving many large shelves and safely moving large and sensitive fridges as well. Also very safe and efficient unloading and they packed the storage unit to the top safely like a professional jenga player (at my request).

Outstanding service very quick and careful. I would highly recommend this company to all my friends and family, They are also a fair bit cheaper than Local movers companies! Always told that Capital city Movers & storage Is best in Toronto. Again recommend!

We used Capital City Movers for our move last week. The process was fairly simple to sign up. Our sales rep was available for multiple discussions we had and did his best to answer all of the questions. The day of the move our movers were early. They completed the inventory and started packing. We used Capital City Movers for packing and moving. We were moving from a 3rd floor walk-up brownstone in NYC to a townhouse in Jersey.

We had a lot of boxes once they finished packing and they helped us take our old furniture to the curb. This made a huge difference. Once they got to our new location they put all of the items in our various rooms. We didn't have any damage to either location and they literally kept us organized during the move. All our items were double/triple wrapped. My husband was with them the entire time and worked while they packed. We didn't have any missing items. I would recommend Capital City Movers.

I have used them fourth times now They are prefect, Great experience with CAPITAL CITY MOVERS. Called SARA and she walked me through this with ease, the crew came on time, took time with all my belongings. The whole time was so pleasant, efficient, and skilled with the move. Reasonable price (Worth every penny) and great service. Would use them again and highly recommend to anyone looking to move.

We used Capital City Movers in NYC for the whole shebang: plastic bin rental, moving, and about a month of storage. The do a video call for an estimate which is convenient. They were extremely responsive via email, and everyone from the bin deliverers to the movers was very, very professional and friendly. Pricing was competitive. Would highly recommend this company.

I highly recommend Capital City Movers. Marco was fast and responsive to book me a last minute appointment date one week before I was due to move at the end of the month. Initially, I called Piece of Cake movers before that and they were terrible, never called me back and when I called for a price quote, Piece of Cake was quoting me price $450 and within 10 min in the call they told me the price increased to $650 cause they are fully booked now as we speak over the phone and they can't moved me on the actual date I wanted.

Definitely sketchy. Don't waste your time on them. Marco at capital movers told me that Saturday was no problem, and quote me a reasonable price. We went through the estimate items and Marco said that a few extra boxes is not a problem unless is more than 6 boxes there will be an increase of $50 from the price quoted. On the day of moving itself, 3 movers were sent to help me move my stuff from my studio apartment.

They went above and beyond helping me move and packed my computer and tv up in a box. They help me take apart my bed frame and assemble my bed in my new apartment. Everything was done fast and smooth within 2.5 hours from my old apartment to the new apartment. They asked me to even check their moving truck to make sure nothing was missing. Really trust worthy guys.

I definitely hire Capital City Movers again if I ever need movers. Their price are reasonable, you pay what you get for, and they are high quality movers. I have friends who were being cheap and hired Uhaul movers that stole their items.

I used Capital City Movers on July 27, 2020, and it was a seamless, no damage and hard to believe but a stress-free move. Originally I called one mover that my kids used and liked who came to my apartment and gave me a quote. However, I decided that I should get a second quote and called Capital. Nigel answered the phone and we went over my "stuff, boxes, etc".

He gave me a quote that was significantly less than the first one mover. I decided to move forward a little concerned since there was such a difference in price.
Well, they came on time, moved everything out of my New York City high-rise apartment within hours and were on the road to East Hampton. At my new home, they moved old furniture to the basement, and then everything was brought inside, unwrapped, undamaged, and in its place. The guys were pleasant, helpful, and worked non-stop with masks and gloves. As a satisfied customer, I highly recommend them.

This is the worlds best moving company. They just completed packing our 5 bedroom house and moving us to a larger one. Literally nothing is even slightly chipped. We paid a smaller fee to have the kitchen unpacked upon arrival and Julio unpacked 35 boxes in 1.5 hours! You NEED this company for any move. All friendly and cooperative professional people, worked together seamlessly. Many many thanks!

I was told about these guys from a friend at work who used them for their last 2 moves and was very happy with them. Since you never know what you're going to get with moving companies, I got a quote and booked them right away. These guys were great! I had construction delays, and had to move my move date at the last minute. My other mover was already booked and I was not sure how I was going to accomplish the move.

These guys worked with me to make my date work (it was the end if the month, so a very busy day for them!). They showed up on time and had a great attitude! I strongly suggest using them for your next move.

Capital City Movers were top notch! They were professional, hard working, and courteous. They were not only on time, but they showed up 30 minutes early to set their things up and get ready for the move. I don't expect that, but what a bonus! We moved to different apartment in our building, and it could not have gone better. Although I'd be willing to pay more for good movers, Capital City was the best quote I received and they did not waiver on their asking price once bill was due. Next time we move, I am calling Capital City first.

We could not have been more thrilled with Capital City Movers for our packing and move to Westchester from Manhattan. At first, I was a bit unsure about using them because I didn't know anyone who had used them personally. I got quotes from several other moving companies for both packing and moving, and Capital City Movers not only gave me the best price, but I appreciated that they did not have a surcharge for moving at the end of the month or for disassembling our crib or entertainment center.

We worked with Brandon who was incredibly responsive, and our team on the day of packing and moving was simply wonderful. We had a desk that was not in great shape, and they took it apart and put it together when we arrived. They moved so quickly, wrapped everything so carefully, and were just very lovely to work with. Capital City Movers is hands down the best moving company I have used in NY. They are punctual, caring, fast and personable. From the quote to the last box- no complaints. We had Frank as our foreman- he was incredibly nice and truly wanted to make my move as easy as possible. Not a single item was damaged, everything was packed with the utmost care. I would 100% recommend CCM for any move- large or small- local or long distance. We will only be using Capital City from now on.

I had to move multiple rooms' worth of furniture in addition to 25-30 boxes of assorted size. Capital City Movers offered an unbeatable price compared to the competition. They arrived on time, and worked quickly and efficiently. They made sure to wrap all of my furniture and electronics/breakables to protect them from damage and whatever else could happen to or crawl on them.

They also mentioned that their trucks are completely cleaned and heated after each move and that they have never had a history of bedbugs. I would definitely use again in the future, and I recommend scheduling your move with them.
