We, the owners and founders of Square Cow Movers, could not believe how challenging it was to find a reasonably priced moving company who adhered to these principles. We moved for family, and as a family we saw an opportunity to serve in a whole new way.

Joseph (lead), Caleb, Alec, and Connor were the skilled, most polite movers. They handled our move with care and did it well. They packed everything professionally with blankets, tape, and plastic wrap. The crew loaded on one day, drove 3 hours, unloaded the next day in 100 degree weather! We were so glad that we used them again for the third time!

I booked this move from Los Angeles, CA. Relocating back home to Austin. I was told I would get 2movers and a truck. Kiss of death. Get more done with 3 movers. The guy driving the truck was doing all the work. The extra team member was useless, he was slow and could not think on his own. It was like he was daydreaming. He was complaining about how the movers in LA paced the truck.
I had some things going to my apt and some going to storage. I told them I had a 23 foot truck and they only sent 1 man because the other one was not here. He should not be working as a mover all he did was complain until I told him how much I was paying for him to do his job. Ridiculous. He should be fired. He costs me more money than I should be paying.
Slow Slow Slow. Will not use or recommend. Towards the end the LAZY one asked me if I wanted to grab some of the smaller things to move things along. What am I paying you for?

Super disappointed. This company came highly recommended by our neighbors. We arranged our schedule based on the email that was sent to us and that was also discussed on the phone. We were quoted a time of services between 2pm to 7pm. This is our moving day and we are left without movers because we receive a phone call advising us that the movers wanted to come now, early, at 11am.
We are not available for the movers to come since we had arranged our schedule to be available in the afternoon. The Square Cow associate who contacted us claimed that we committed to a different time even though it is clearly stated in our email (see attachment). The man basically stated that he didn't believe us and blamed us for the time discrepancy.
The proof is black and white here. Now we are scrambling to find a moving company to help us. I would suggest finding a more reliable company who will also be professional during conflicts that come up and that will make you feel valued and not try to put blame when the proof is clear.

I reached out to Sqaure Cow movers at the end of last week and they were able to fit me in and help me in a pinch. The guys they sent out were absolutely awesome! They were accommodating, every answer was yes sir or no sir and their willingness to help was refreshing. If I could give them six stars I would. The pricing is right where it needs to be in the service exceeded my expectations. I will definitely use them again and refer them to any of my friends.

The team (Kenny, Deshire and Vaughn) was extremely careful and efficient as they moved all our belongings. They were also SO professional in everything they did. I'll never call another mover. Their website caused me to select them, and their people and culture made me a customer for life. I can't say enough to recommend them. Thanks again guys. We'll be back. Dan and family

Waste of money. -Movers took almost an hour to drive the 13 minute trip to our house. The clock starts when they leave the home office. I had to fight to get money back on the extra 30 minutes ($200) they spent driving who knows where (McDonalds?). -Lots of damage to furniture and damage to my new house too. -Got called a J*ck*ass behind my back by one of the movers because he did not like how high I had stacked some boxes.
Actually made me chuckle, but not very professional. -Placed a claim for over 4K in damages and received $200 because they pay 60 cents per pound no matter what the value of the damaged piece. -Crew was slow and took lots of phone breaks. They charge $400/hr and don't hustle. My advice: -Pack your possessions into bins/boxes and put them in a pod. -Send pod to your new home. -Sell your old furniture. -Take the money from selling old furniture along with money you would have paid movers (to move and destroy your old furniture) and use it to have new furniture delivered to your new house.
This will cost a little more, but you will have all new stuff instead of spending 4K to be left with old/broken furniture. There is more, but you don't need to hear the drawn out details. Just know if you hire this company you might not be satisfied. You might even feel a bit taken advantage of. Good luck.

Setting up the appointment was fast and easy. There was no pressure to schedule and they were very nice. We got a text reminder the night before and we were able to ask questions through text. When our movers arrived they were both very professional and so nice. They worked quickly and did a great job. They were even sweet to our dog :) so thankful we chose Square Cow and highly recommend! (And they had great taste in music )

We had a really bad experience with the movers. They didn't want to carry our couch down three flights of stairs even though I had asked about this when I booked them. They tried to take it apart for over an hour and ended up breaking it then finally carried it down. They got lost on the way to our apartment costing us an additional 45 minutes in pay and lost in finding the house another additional 45 minutes in pay.
Both addresses were on google maps. Almost all our furniture was banged up and dinged and a few spots on the door frames were dinged. I read such positive reviews Of the company but was very disappointed and over charged based on them getting lost.

Square Cow did a great job. They came out and viewed what we had and gave us a reasonably priced quote. They were friendly and courteous and pleasant to work with. We had a big move ahead of us. We had to move stuff from storage facility, had a full POD, and our stuff from our temporary home (an apartment 2nd floor). We had 4 guys and 2 big trucks. They did an outstanding job asking where to put boxes etc. they were very careful not to break anything and had to take a door off to get washer/dryer into laundry room. I highly recommend them! Great job.

My wife and I needed some moving and logistical support as we moved from our tiny Austin condo and storage unit to our new forever home in the suburbs of Round Rock. Thankfully I knew who to turn to and contacted Square Cow. Jayvion, Jaylen, and Dustin came and we're fast, professional and careful with our belongings. They asked where we wanted everything in our new house and put it neatly and carefully there. Wouldn't hesitate to use Square Cow again for any of my moving! They moved us yesterday, and we are very happy with their service. They showed up on time and got right to work. The movers were very respectful and went out of their way to be courteous and helpful. They worked quickly even though it was very hot. The heat index was 102 degrees. They were careful with our belongings, and I would use them again without hesitation.

Move was initially estimated to take 3-4 hours and at most 700 dollars and it ended up taking 5-6. Didn't seem like Covid procedures were setup or communicated properly. Even wearing gloves would of given at least some kind of indication of an attempt to have a procedure at all. It just seemed like the company didn't have any guidelines or communication in place.
Some of the workers had physical symptoms that would make it difficult to wear a mask. In those cases the company should of been prepared to have different workers that would be able to have Covid procedures well executed. On top of this, instead of a 600 move I ended up with close to double that by the end. This is not what was expected and I even tried to anticipate the move by moving much of the items myself prior.
We had previous moves with a similar amount of things using Einstein movers that would take them at most 3 hours and the bill never topped 600 dollars. Highly recommend Einstein's over this company.

This company should not be in business. Within 20 minutes of delivering furniture, they smashed a sconce, gouged floors and destroyed a banister. Glass coffee tables were dropped and shattered. Wooden furniture was delivered with giant holes in them. The delivery men were incompetent. They do not know how to pack and ship furniture. They managers of Square Cow are dishonest and outright liars.
It has been over 2 months since they destroyed most of the shipment. There has been no settlement and I am still sick to my stomach after what they did to our property. Do not even consider using Square Cow. They are the worst of the worst.

They want to settle out because it's a $4000 refrigerator. They make you take them to court to get your money. I went to BNI with the owners. They preached customer service. They do not represent it. Do NOT use this company. They aren't the same company your friends gave used in the past. It's all about the profits. Screw the customer.
We only lost food once because the door didn't close properly. We are more vigilant in checking it now, but with the kids.it's been a walk since we were told the check request went in. I would love to get an update on that.

We hired Square Cow Movers to unload our household belongings from a cross country moving trailer. They sent out a three person crew as we agreed and the charges were all in-line with what we agreed to. The team was extremely professional and diligent in getting the project completed. There was zero damage to our goods or our home. I was very impressed with them and they represented the company very well. Will use them again for our moving needs.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Forget the fact that caused over 1k in damages to my brand new home (chunks out of my door / frame, gashes and scratches out of my brand new hard wood floor, damages to my personal items (also not reassembled correctly), but what is worse is their excuse for customer service. Absolutely terrible. This was the THIRD time I have used them and the first two experiences were nowhere near this catastrophe.
Their movers knew they had an issue with their dolly and they STILL chose to use it and it carved up my floors. No excuse for this negligence. I am beyond disappointed and their owner called me to "try and make it right" (and still made me pay for the move!) and just clearly is not in touch with his customers / his business. Way to ruin our first home experience Square Cow.

Once I hit my wits end with this company and posted my first review with pictures, I finally started to get some help from Square Cow. Rebecca called me about my review and wanted to try and make things right. She offered to have Square Cow replace my most damaged piece (a bed) and I accepted her offer - and she asked if I'd update my Yelp review, so here I am. So at the end of the day, Square Cow did the right thing and sent me a new $747.16 bed. I do still feel that I didn't get a $11k service at the end of the day. I think they need to tighten up their processes and procedures if they want to compete in a white glove door to door moving market. I appreciate Rebecca's help by actually addressing my dissatisfaction and getting some sort of resolution.

If your belongings mean nothing to you, use these guys. If you don't care about having your most prized possessions destroyed, call em up. If you enjoy paying for insurance only to get completely jerked around, please be sure to say hi for me. So now they've decided that because we've chosen to 'go public' they are going to drag their feet and ignore their responsibilities to do the right thing. This isn't the first time we've had problems with them. That's why we foolishly paid $200 for their insurance coverage so we wouldn't have to deal with their view of how things work.
Probably should have hired someone else and assumed our first experience was their SOP. The attitude starts at the top with this company. They have NO concept of taking care of their customers. For a small business in a highly competitive industry the amount of bureaucracy they impose on customers is astonishing. And in spite of our pleadings, they managed to 'hit a wall'. They knew immediately the glass shattered. Yet they deferred from moving it into our new home until the very end.at the end saying I think we hit a wall so you may want to unwrap it and check. They deliberately held off because they knew we would be furious and they didn't want to deal with it until they left.
The owner sees nothing wrong with that. He doesn't like being told he's got a problem. He doesn't want to do whatever it takes to resolve a problem especially if you complain about his company. Instead he likes to threaten the customer by saying he's just going to drag his feet since I'm being so difficult and unreasonable.
So maybe one bad post on Yelp won't be a big deal to him. Maybe his performance is the same as everybody else in Austin that does what he does. Sounds like they like to scan any other posts you may have before they decide how to deal with you. But they don't think one voice matters. You have PLENTY of options here to take care of your stuff. You would be wise to shop around.

Great moving company, and they were able to meet my families needs! My husband called them on a Friday hoping that we could secure something in time to get moved into our new house the following day, luckily they had some time available! They arrived on time and ready to go! Jesse, Endyia, and Kenny were very careful with our items, and have great customer service!

Easy to communicate with and the the supervisor Nick is exceptional on follow up and is available for any concerns. We have used Square Cow and have always had a good move experience. This will be my 4th in-town (ATX) with Square Cow. They've always quoted the right amount of movers and their prices are competitive. I was surprised with some of the bad reviews as I have only had responsiveness from the office staff, polite movers, and an overall great experience. My latest move was a full house-to-house move including an entire garage of storage and hiking equipment. So far, as I've unpacked, everything arrived safely and without scratches.

I've used Square Cow twice- once to go across town within Austin and once for a long distance move from Austin to Denver. Both times they did a terrific job and were extremely professional throughout. Pricing was competitive, especially considering the quality and speed of their work. Highly recommend them and if I move again they will be my first call!
