Hampden Moving & Storage

This is the 3rd time I've worked with Hampden Moving & Storage. They are professional and very responsive. They also completed our move efficiently. Would highly recommend.

The movers went above and beyond to get all our furniture where we wanted it. They were friendly and fun to be around for two days between loading and unloading, and the office staff were really helpful in getting all the paperwork for our move figured out. Thank you! I definitely recommend you all.

I have moved numerous times during my military career and several times since my retirement. I HAVE NEVER HAD A WORSE MOVE OR EXPERIENCED AS POOR OF SERVICE WHEN TRYING TO PROCESS A CLAIM. We experienced many missing and broken items. Their storage procedures are horrible, and I believe was responsible for many of the problems with broken, and missing items.

The third-party company that packed TVs lost a propriety cable for a very expensive curved TV which took me and a Tech Service over a month to locate a replacement. The Claims Dept is TOTALLY unresponsive and unhelpful. I would not recommend anyone store anything of value with Hamden. If they lose things or parts to it (which there were many) you will get no relief from Hamden.

They also delivered a credenza which was not mine and argued with me when I said it wasn't. BEWARE. If you have anything of value to store, find another company or find somewhere to store it other than Hamden.

Absolutely amazing job by this group with Mike Hudgins in charge. Crew completed entire moving process in 31/2 hours! Great teamwork, very friendly, cautious with special items, no moving issues, and really made us so relieved that this was all accomplished. Will recommend this company to anyone interested. We had some some very challenging pieces to move, along with some heavy work shop equipment. The Team that came out to move it all was very professional, had a can do attitude and went to getting it done. They complimented us on how we labeled. packed and organized out boxs to help them. I would definitely recommend anyone moving to give Mark McMahon a call. Mark was prompt, thorough and efficient assessing our items to be moved and gave us a great price. The crew showed up on time and took great care of our items. Communication was perfect throughout the entire process. I have no doubt Mark and the crew at Von Paris will do as great a job for you as they did for me.

It has been two years. I long ago lost any and all hope that these people would make even a modest attempt to make things right. The reply you see from them was lip service: "look how concerned we are-but we'll never actually do anything." Yeah. Thanks for nothing. Their final act of customer service? They blocked me. Awful company! They make promises to unpack but their definition of unpack is to dump the boxes on the floor. They also have very rude staff. The foreman yelled at us (and I was pregnant with twins on bed rest at the time) and kept saying "this isn't my job." Not to mention they damaged two expensive items and said they did not. Oh, and they took 3 days to move our items but the manager of the company asked us "why did it take two days?

This was a one day job." You are the expert, you tell me. I would NEVER use this company. Horrible service, empty promises, and they are very difficult to reach when you need them.
