I used Father & Son for a small move recently- one treadmill to be exact. This item needed to be moved from house to house. I received a quick response from the manager, Michael. The business responded promptly to any of my questions, was professional, accommodating, courteous and on time. The movers were friendly and arrived Covid-19 ready, equipped with proper facial masks. I'll use them again for my next move which will most likely be larger scale. Michael is a gem.

I hired Father and Sons on 5/21/21 to move 2 couches and a bench to a local upholstery business nearby for repair. The two movers showed up nice and early as expected wrapped my couches with blankets and plastic to ensure no scratching or denting while transporting the items. They even removed my front door in order to get the biggest couch out. Definitely would recommend there service to others that need help moving, very competitive prices for the service as well. Keep up the good work! I will be reaching out again once its time for my move. Thanks

I was referred to this company by a very Dear Friend who raved about their service. I called on 06/26 to see what availability was for the 30th of June spoke to a person by the name of Javier. Javier explained that they were booked and had no openings that I would not find service for a moving company calling so late to the end of the month. They had been booked for the past 2 weeks. So I got a lecture out of the deal. I didn't appreciate being chastised when calling for a service. I was very upset by the end of the phone call.

Never use this company! They convinced me to use them because they are such "quality movers" even though they were more expensive. They told me I had a morning move, then changed it to 2pm the day before, then on the day of my move they never got around to me and pushed me to the next day at 11am. That day they were hours late. This is the most unprofessional company with the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I would have rather rented a truck and moved everything myself. Save yourself the frustration and go with another company.

Ok where do I start. These are the most shady people in denver. First off they were a day late for the move. Had to reserve the elevator in my complex. So I could not use it the next day. They had to use stairs which took more time and cost me more money. I moved my belongings in there storage big mistake! After my stuff being in there storage for 5 months called to schedule move.
They said my stuff had been repossessed and sold due to none payment on first move. They only ran my card for deposit for some reason. Said they tried to call for payment even though they had my CC info. So now I have to sue them for all my belongings. Wish I could give negative stars.

WORSE MOVERS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER The only good experience I had was with the person who booked my move. After giving them my $100 deposit everything went downhill. They were suppose to come on a Sunday and didn't show up until a Monday. I was given a different excuse from everyone from the mover to the supervisor at customer service. They charged me for things they said would be free or would come with the move.
They wouldn't refund me for the horrible service because "they had to pay the movers." The head mover was incredibly rude, and so was the customer service. At one point (when they still hadn't shown up after 5pm on Sunday) they said I should just get a different mover. If the moving company doesn't want my business no one should give them theres! DO NO EVER USE THEM!

The move was. problematic. We started with 3 movers and ended with one. What made the difference was the mover named Justin. Justin turned what could have been a disaster into an okay experience. He finished the job himself. So, all in all. Not the experience I was hoping for, but we got the job done. Thanks again to Justin.

This is my first time I ever write a review in Yelp. Wish I had read the reviews here for moving companies and sought for info in the BBB before hiring this company to do the job. This was the worst moving service ever! Having been in the military for 10 years, I know about moving. Unfortunately this service promised me the world and I got nothing but headaches!
From the start, the sales rep failed to give me an accurate quote. His name was Frank and he did not add all the blows and whistles I found out later when the moving team was in my house. Turns out that it cost me almost 3 times as much as the original quote. This team had forgotten my requested wardrobe boxes (included in the price), not to mention the tools needed to disarm the frame of the bed (which added to wasted time I also had to pay for).
The team apparently did not know there was 1/4th of the basement discussed with the sales rep of my belongings needed to be moved. During this whole time, the supervisor of the team was complaining and insulting my belongings. They failed to complete the job because the director refused to move my dresser in the basement. Said it smelled bad, when.hello. it has been in the unfinished basement and it gets musty.
He could not even move the 3 large mirrors that detach from the dresser. Now I had to find another service to finish their job. Almost the whole time, the director was on his cell phone receiving and making personal calls. The phone went off over a dozen times. Then on the road as they were following me, this team decided to waste more time following a public bus and would stop each time this bus did.
I was already at my new home and they were like 5 blocks away. After this mess ended, the next day I called the Better Business Bureau and found this company has a LONG history of bad reputations. Their alias name is 67th Avenue Moving and Storage, Inc. The service operator read to me what felt like a book of their negative history. They have been sued countless times and had to pay so many fines.
I would not give them any stars, but I did one, because they actually did not brake anything. In a few weeks I will see them again (sigh), but this time it is in court. I am not paying a dime for their lowsy service they did not even finsih. If you are or were a victim of this company, my advice is to call the Public Utilities Commission (303) 894-2070 and complain regarding their service. The more complaints they get, the closer the company gets to losing their license. If you are a new customer, cancel the order now and run very far away from them.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I was moving from Denver to Boulder in July. The movers left an oil painting (the most valuable thing I own) at the Denver house. It took them 2 months to retrieve and return it to me, even though I had been leaving aggravated messages for their customer service rep -- Acacia, bad attitude, not professional -- that entire time. When I received the painting the frame was broken in two places -- WHAT THE EFF! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.

DO NOT USE THEM. BROKE MY TV and DIDN'T PAY RUN AWAY RUN AWAY They drove off with the doors flapping open on the truck, I should consider myself lucky anything got to the new house at all. Two broken places on my TV and I am deluging their well-hidden claims company with claims but I am not expecting anything to happen. Will review again if I get any compensation for the broken item. They outsource to another company if they are out of trucks- 67th Street Movers.

Horrible moving company, do not use them. They gave me an estimate of $300, took a $100 deposit from me then charged more than twice the estimated price. They don't include the travel surcharge on the estimate, but claim there's no way around it when they show up. It cost me $176 plus an hour of travel time for a 15-minute drive. The movers took way longer than necessary, and one hardly did anything at all, carrying one small item at a time back and forth from the truck.
Despite claims that everything would be covered and wrapped, none of my furniture was shrink-wrapped. Couches have huge tears in them, dressers are chipped and scratched. Several items were broken in this move. Next time, I'd move myself instead of using this company. Worst moving experience and customer service ever. Definitely DO NOT use them.

Here is the letter that I wrote to Father & Son about their move. The said it would cost $400 and then it became $800. They are the worst. Don't ever use these guys. These guys are rip offs. Never use these guys. they didn't make good on the carpet, overcharged and damaged everything. Awful people. Thieves. Father and Son: The move of my furniture was completed yesterday, Thursday, 4 August.
Mark and Leonard commenced the move of the furniture without utilizing any straps or floor coverings to protect my newly installed carpeting. The boxing and packaging of the furniture was strewn about the house as they moved and unpacked the furniture at the same time- that is the furniture was not completely unpacked as they attempted to move it.
The furniture was quite heavy and they pushed it across the floor- again, without protecting the new carpet or being aware of the freshly painted walls. The carpet in my loft area- at the doorway to the bedroom where the bed and new bureau were being moved into- now has four tears in it. The carpet is four days old. The wall in front of the bedroom is scraped- again, because I observed Mark and Leonard tossing the packaging around at the same time they were struggling to move the furniture.
I have take photographs of the damage to the carpet and the wall. I have contacted Wells Fargo Bank as well as my attorney. I will be contacting the carpeting company today, to have a crew come up from Denver to evaluate the damage a propose a solution. I am totally disappointed in the service, the lack of experience of the team, the preparation of the physical move and lack of concern for my home. I will forward the bid to repair or replace the area of carpet that is damaged, as well as the cost to repair the wall.

First off, they don't even tell you what they'll charge, you have to ask. Then when you are ready to move. They get lost, purposely. The guy actually got lost 2 times. On the way to my house, then on the way to the destination. Then, while the one guy is going over the ridiculously long contract, the other poor guy is taking one thing at a time.
I did feel compassion for the man, cause he did do most of the work. I got so frustrated that I told the guy I wanted to go on the truck and help cause it was taking too long. He then told me I wasn't allowed and then proceeded to insult me by saying "damn, what's your problem" then while walking away mumbling. "someone needs to get laid" Suffice to say, I'll never use this co again & strongly suggest everyone steer clear from this "company"

I also had a horrible experience.scheduled to show up at 8am and didn't arrive until 4pm! No proactive communication and top of it.it was another company (Neighbors) that showed up. So, apparently, I was dealing with some kind of marketing outfit on the east coast that contracts for other local companies (ones I did not choose). Meanwhile, they overcharged me $300, never credited my $100 deposit and provided no receipt or accounting. I am disputing with my credit card company as they have failed to return my call to try and resolve. Run away FAST -- it's a scam!

Lying bastards! I wish I read the reviews before I booked these SOB's. The sales guy told me it would take 3 total hours and quoted me a rate of $305. They showed up 2 hours late with a different crew than the one that was assigned to me initially. The driver had about 5 teeth, smoked like a chimney, and was a total and complete JERK. Anyway, it took them one hour to load my stuff, they took my stuff to storage at their place, then charged my credit card $800!
I called for a detailed receipt and the customer service agent told me to go "f*** myself". Needless to say I filed a complaint with the BBB and I called my bank for a credit. The nightmare continues. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! 10/11: Update on this: I opened a case with the BBB, and rather than admitting ANY fault, they accused me of trying to get a free move.
They also demanded I withdraw my case because I put in the BBB case that they told me to "go f*** myself"- they said the "verbiage was offensive"! Nightmare, nightmare, nightmare.

I really wish it were possible not to give any stars because this company doesn't deserve any. They scheduled my move for 9 am on a Saturday, and promptly charged me the deposit 22 days a head of time. Moving day arrived and at 9:45 am I called to find out where they were. The dispatcher gave me some song and dance about one of their guys going out because his wife had gone into labor. Really?
Why would I care about that? So, I figured I'd be nice and do them a favor by rescheduling to the next day at 11 am. In the mean time, we had hired the same company to move my boyfriend. They were 2.5 hours late due to mechanical issues and it took them about an hour and a half to load everything from his place. I arrived at the new place to find they were charging him double what the appraisal amount said. Knowing I couldn't afford that, I told the driver of that truck to cancel my move for the next day.
Apparently he didn't bother. At 10 am on that Sunday, I receive a call from the Dispatcher confirming my move for 11 am. I told him of my concerns and he promised me that his guys would only collect a flat $200 from me. Oh and by the way, they can't be there at 11 am, they'll be there at 1 pm. I called the dispatcher at 2 pm since there was no sign of movers and he was very rude.
He said, "I told you they would call 45 minuted to a half an hour before they arrive." When he first told me that, I assumed I would get a call at 12:30 pm or so. At 5 pm, I gave up and headed home, which is 51 miles away, since I still had not heard from any movers. They called at 5:22 pm at which point I said it was too late. The driver told me that he would inform his manager that I had canceled.
I was enraged and told him I didn't cancel, they had failed to show up. I have yet to get my deposit back after several attempts to do so. I've lodged complaints with the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau.

All I can say is that I am amazed that this company hasn't been sued! The whole company is a scam, under at least three different business names. I actually looked them up on BBB and it says they aren't even a business in Denver anymore! Anyways I got scammed just like every other person on Yelp.thankfully I have American Express and they are pretty good at getting your money back from fraudulent companies. So.if you don't heed the warnings on Yelp and call father and son, all I can say is just don't give them your credit card over the phone because they will put charges on it even before you've been moved.
