We started with an old van that had 620 cubic feet of space and a weight capacity of 4,000 pounds, along with a 25.1 horsepower engine. 12 miles an hour was fast in enough in 1915, but now we can provide save moving services at a much higher speed.

We used this company in 2010 for a local move. We are moving again and decided to use them again based on our last experience. I called them in early May 2021 when we closed on our new house. I talked to a Company agent in the office who advised they could move us on June 10, and booked us for that date with a crew. She advised me somebody would call me to come to the house to give us an estimate.
Nobody called. We contacted Fridrich's on May 21 to find out when somebody would be coming to give us an estimate. We were advised we are not on their schedule and to pound sand. Now we are scrambling to find another mover with less than two week's notice. We definitely do not recommend this Company.

We moved here from Annapolis, Maryland, to a rented house in Shaker Heights in 2010. Mike Fridrich sent a truck with 3 men down from Cleveland to our house, our storage unit, AND my husband's office to pick up our collection of furniture, household goods, office papers, and artwork. The packing and driving and unpacking went beautifully. Our antique furniture was unblemished, our art glass collection unbroken.
When we bought a house in Lyndhurst in 2012, we called Mike again. A perfect move to this "forever house" for us Seniors! We will never move again, but will always recommend Fridrich for perfection in caring for us, our household, and our collections. They were on schedule, knew about wrapping and unwrapping, furniture care and placement. The bid was exact and fair. This was my first big move by myself, from Cleveland to Cincinnati, with little help. On their website they stated they do long distance moves, but apparently not so much. I contacted them to inquire an estimated quote of a full service job, etc. to get a better understanding of what I would be working with and to seek suggestions. Whoever I talked to on the phone laughed and belittled me, saying he would do a quote but I "wouldn't be happy." They proceeded to never contact me back with an estimated quote. I have ended up finding friends to assist in the move and now simply need movers, but I will be looking for a moving company elsewhere.

I can't say enough good things to say about Fridrich Movers. They moved my husband out of his apartment today and they were truly magnificent -- friendly, professional, efficient, careful with the material, funny -- just wonderful. They arrived on time and completed the work within the expected time (they were moving his furniture from a two bedroom apartment into a storage facility). Mike Fridrich, the owner, is awesome!
He stayed in touch constantly, and handle an unanticipated situation and delay with professionalism and good humor. My husband and I can't think of a better moving experience. In my 16+ years living in the Cleveland/NE Ohio area, my family and I have used Fridrich Moving and Storage exclusively whenever we've had to move or store various things over the years. The movers are extremely professional and very kind and take GREAT care making sure that your furniture and other items are well-protected and handled with care. I will never use another mover for my local moving needs as long as they are still in business.

We recently had the guys from Fridrich move us to a new home. Don and Steve were punctual, professional, and personable. They didn't waste time, gave helpful suggestions, and did a great job overall. No nicks, tears, or breaks. They handled our belongings with great care. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them. They also stayed within the cost estimate.

I just moved my whole house this weekend with Fridrich Moving and Storage. They did the most amazing job! Very professional and organized! They protected all of my carpet and left no mess - despite moving in the mild cold with snow, ice, rain, leaves, etc. They had the entire process streamlined and moved quickly! Definitely will be using them again in the future!

Fridrich just moved me out of my house and are storing my things while my next home is being built. The crew finished the pack and load ahead of schedule. Their skills with heavy furniture through tight hallways and around sharp corners were great. I very much appreciated their hard work and professionalism.

I have now used Fridrich for three moves. First was in 2007 when my mom moved from a condo in Concord to a home in Mayfield. We needed the to store the items for two months because her new place was not ready. It was two guys, the truck size was right one, they were exactly on quote items were stored in the truck at their facility, and there was no damage at any time.
In December 2011 they did a multiple move of my mother's estate to three locations as well as my out-of-town brother's rental truck, flawless and exactly on quote with two guys. When a friend of mine in 2012 went from an apartment in Shaker Hts to a home in Beachwood the quote was higher than expected because it is more difficult to move an apartment with its longer halls and elevators.
In addition, unlike my mom, they had more loose items like kids toys so the quote was 8 hours with 3-4 guys. That is $150 to $200 per hour without tax, yikes! My friend asked ten friends to help and asked the movers to just bring two guys and extra dollies. They agreed and they came with these "dump boxes, " that I had not seen before, wardrobes, 10-12 extra dollies, and a gigantic truck that my friends did not believe they could ever fill for all these loose items that do not pack well.
We filled it to the brim. We had an assembly line of people moving things as promised. They also brought all the pads, the plastic wrap, wrenches, and screwdrivers. They were ready for anything and everything. We got it done in 5 hours. There is no doubt in my mind that their original quote- without the"friend crew" was absolutely on and maybe conservative.
Most people just do not believe or understand the stuff they have. A few weeks prior one of my friend's hired different movers. The truck was too small and they had to leave a bunch of stuff behind. It is important to note that a move is only as good as the ones prepping for the movers. That is not to say that bad things don't happen. But overall, three totally different moves have been successful and I trust Fridrich with my moves and as my reference.
