Just now I wouldn't even give them one star if I could. We will definitely NOT ever use this company again or anyone that is associated with them. Broken furniture and belongings and missing items. This company and anyone associated with them are thieves disguised as movers. They took Advantage (with a capital A) of my elderly mother. I can't believe that they can do this to others and legally get away with it.

And when you say something to them about anything it's always someone else's fault. The list goes on and on. NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL! This company is nothing but criminal! DO NOT USE THEM OR ANYONE ASSOCIATED (Cobra Van Limes) WITH THEM.

The absolute worst! They never even showed up for their appointment. Please do not work with these people and save yourself the trouble. Extremely disrespectful and unreliable. They deserve zero stars.

Don't get deceived by the guys on the call. They are very nice and professional. Worked with guy called Abner. The problem is no control over the guys who come to move your stuff. Something fishy if they do that deliberately. So any time over 15 mins of drive, the California Law says to pay the double the drive time. So if the drive time is 30 mins, that will add 1 Hour to the total move time.

I followed the truck when it left my house, the driver took internal street when the Freeway was available. I waited for an hour when he ultimately showed up. On confronting, he first denied and then said that he took a break for grabbing lunch. On top that, they deliberately slows down the move to add the hours. When 70% of the move is done, they demand the payment or not deliver the remaining stuff.

At this point will not admit the loss of of time that I incurred due to their lunch break of 30 minutes for which I have to pay for extra 1 hr or loose the remaining stuff. That ordeal lead to a big argument, on calling back to Mr Abner, he will act naive and ask me to wait until he speak with the dispatch manager. Another gimmick to keep adding time to you total move. Damaged certain items and worth $1200 and got $136 in return for the settlement after 90 days. Avoid these guys.

One of their crews hit our company truck on 9/18/21. The driver refused to hand over his insurance information and tried to bribe the crew with $80.00. After contacting the company via email and phone. I have had no response. Police report has already been filed.

They only get one star because zero stars is not an option. Only good thing about this company is they were on time. But moving the tool long and didn't even finish setting anything up they didn't set up fridge they didn't even take the packing of the tv and after did it I found out why they lost the foot stand that came with it. And the other tv they broke.

So i have tried to contact them and no one answer it goes to voicemail and I have left 5 messages with no response I have emailed them with no response. There seems to be no costumer service at this place. So my advice to you is to not move with this company.

Terrible experience & extremely unprofessional. This is what happened: Scheduling a sale was simple and the movers were on time. We had scheduled and put a deposit for a moving truck and 2 movers. About 15 minutes into the job, the two mover got in an argument and one of them walked off on the job. We were left with only one mover, who work extremely hard for 6 hours to get our stuffed packed and moved to our new place.

They ended up cutting us a deal, so they claimed, for the inconvenience of the pace and having us work. Turns out they charged us extra! After numerous phone calls and having to call from different phone numbers, because they were avoiding our calls, we are still fighting to get our money back a month after moving. I would stay as far away as possible.

I would love to give these guys 5 stars! They were on time, helpful, friendly and careful with my stuff. They busted their butts in the June Los Angeles heat to do my job in the 5 hour time frame estimated. I gave them a huge tip for working so well/efficiently. Only reason why I can't give them that fifth star is because their truck was filthy so my clean kitchen items arrived with white powder all over and inside the box.

Also I used their free wardrobe boxes to move my clothes - great! - but they were missing one bar and a whole wardrobe box couldn't be utilized so I had to move a large load of clothes myself a few days later. But other than these two issues they were GREAT! Would definitely recommend! Kudos

EXTREMELY unhappy with this moving company / service. Did not inform me of all items they could not move prior to my shipping date, shipping took much longer than expected, very poor communication from driver when working to unload. Additionally, driver did not have any help with him -- I paid the company to unload my goods, but I had to unload myself and took VERY long. Still waiting on a refund. DONT USE!

This is the MOST unethical, dishonest, shady moving company I could have gone with. They did a quote without ever coming to my house, when they (4 males) arrived, one took it upon himself to urinate on my garage. THEN the first thing they say is that there will be an additional charge for items not quoted BUT they can't give me the amount until everything is loaded.

He says it'll be like twice the amount *he thinks* given the items and that I need to sign a BLANK sheet for them to begin. Only AFTER everything is loaded does he inform me the amount will be THREE times the additional quote and asks if thats ok. So we've gone from 3k to 9k. And the only way not to agree is to ask them to take everything out of the truck?

Along with that there is absolutely no date given for me to expect anything. The next day I email the Sam who did the original quote and set everything up. I explain to her the situation and that I'm not ok with the charge being 3x, I say I'm nore that willing to pay 2x but 3 is insane. She then forwards me to Rachel who basically says well that sucks for you and forwards me on to Andrew. Andrew brushes off my emails, essentially says I'm lying and that there is nothing that can be done.

I've written and called after the initial email with no response from anyone. Fast forward to Oct 27 (stuff was picked up sept 25th), so it has been a solid month. I get a call from a Mike who I guess they contracted out to. Mike now tells me it will be an additional TWO THOUSAND dollars to have my things delivered. Excuse me? So we have gone from 3k to 11k?! Also, he started it at an additional 4 thousand.

At no point in time did American Movers, Sam, Rachel, or Andrew decide it would be a good idea to let me know there would be THOUSANDS MORE I was expected to pay? They had the address I was moving to and all pertinent information and simply opted to withhold information evry single step of the way. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB to which the company has not responded.

I took a chance with them hoping to give them a great review and unfortunately they proved me wrong. Don't be naive and hope the best like me, some people/companies simply don't deserve the business and this is one of them.

Do NOT use these movers! They ruined a dining room chair that is part of a set. The snapped the crystal tops of two lamps and I later realized they tore off half of a torchbearer lamp. When I chose them they told me they they agreed the insurance offered of a few cents to the pound of an item was not good for the consumer and they assured me they would not do me wrong, and would reimburse me a fair amount. In the end I was reimbursed 100 dollars had have several ruined and/or broken items. Important to add, they packed every item that broke!

I've used this company 3 times and have had great crews each time. Very professional and hard working, almost non stop, Took very few breaks if any. Absolute machines with great attitudes. Nothing got damaged, which sometimes you have to expect a little damage when moving. Not an easy job, I hope this company is still around when I move again in 5 years or so. excelente trabajo!

Carla, how do you even think that someone that books a moving more than one month in advance can change the moving to the next day? This is just a joke. I haven't received by the way and even if i did wouldn't accept it since the moving was already scheduled. Your voicemail is also wrong since hours of operation on Saturday were from 9 am.

You should've offer a solution, an alternative and pay for it. I received my money back but I expect more. You caused me so many problems that you have no idea.i had to move my internet appointment at the new house because i was 3 hours behind. This is not the way to work and you also offer a terrible customer service. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

SCAMMERS! I went with this company to move my 2 bedroom apartment. We moved 1 mile down the road. They asked me a million questions about what type of items I was moving (totally fine). When it came time for them to move about an hour and a half into the move they tell me they can't move a section of my sectional couch because it's too big to fit in the elevator ( they have to move it over the balcony).

They stated they'd come back after and move it but just don't tell the company. Make a long story short they move all my things and I paid, when it came time to get my couch nobody was able to do it. I called the company and she (Lizette) was very rude and even hung up in my face. Her manager then called me and told me he'd take care of it and they'd handle it in the morning.

My $2000 couch was sitting in the hallway at this point for anyone to grab. This morning he basically tells me there's nothing he can do and got rude and then hung up in my face as well. All I wanted was some type of reimbursement or my couch moved. I then went to the office that they have on yelp and it doesn't exist. after that I went to another location on their website and it doesn't exist as well.

I then asked my husband to call and ask Lisette for the address and it was the exact address I was sitting in front of. The people who were there said they left there and I could see for myself. I went upstairs and it was deserted. She claimed they were doing construction and she was working from home. SCAM SCAM SCAM. I have since made a police report as well and am planning to sue. BEWARE!

They replied to my post but still haven't acknowledge the fact that their worked left my couch sitting in the hallway! I never agreed for them to do that. I also never asked for all my money back i simply asked for 200 back to hire someone else who can actually move my couch. I'm sorry that a MOVING company is not capable of moving a couch! Maybe you shouldn't be in business! And that office is not yours everyone there said you all been moved.

Appalling service. Do not use My American Movers. Team showed up late, told us the job would take two days and require two vans, when in fact it took one day and the van they provided had room to spare. My husband and I paid for full pack and unpack with an extra charge for packing materials. We ended up doing 65% of the packing while the moving team did almost nothing, we used mostly our own packing materials, and the team left without unpacking a single box.

We complained on the day but it made no impact and we were over a barrel as we HAD to move. When the the truck was halfway unloaded, the moving team stopped and wouldn't continue until we paid the reminder of the balance despite our complaints about speed, packing quality, damage and work not completed. We had no option but to pay. We have complained to head office.

No luck with customer services, operations, sales or accounting teams. All complaints are ignored. Avoid this company. My American Movers is the worst moving company in Los Angeles.

I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE- The are LIARS and the Manager told them to leave because of their mistake. I WAS LEFT ON MY PORCH WITH NO MOVERS AND NO ONE TO CALL. A sales rep named Jacoby gave me a rate of $110 per hour for 6 hours, The price was a little high, so he said "let me speak to my supervisor and see what I can do". He cam back to the phone and said how does $550 sound?

I said great. When the mover got to my house the $550 quote was only for 5 hours not 6 which means they never gave me a deal, they only took off one hour. When I let the movers know, the called their head manager, she begins arguing with me on the phone at 8:00 am in the morning saying, I don;t know what to tell you, you will need to pay for it. I gave the mover back the phone and went in my room to get my phone to pull up my email.

When I returned, the movers were getting in the truck and said, My manager told us to leave. I was devastated. It was a Sunday and I have no one to call. I was astonished by their customer service. If this is how they handle an internal issue, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND AND NON TRUST WORTHY COMPANY LIKE THE AMERICAN MOVERS. NEVER! I have called to speak to someone about my $100 deposit and keep being pit on hold. So i have to dispute the fee with my CC company. So unprofessional.

Used these guys for a pretty big move, an entire house full of furniture. It took the entire day. They moved several very nice pieces. Antique chairs, nice plates, etc. nothing was broken. They were nice, and professional. Hard working. I highly recommend.

Move distance: 5 miles I hired My American movers, to move my one bedroom apartment on Nov 24th from Encino to Sherman Oaks, I had sold my refrigerator, so the major items, were a couch and 2 tvs, plus a dresser and everything else was boxed up, they offered me wardrobe boxes to move my clothes and shoes, because I mentioned that I have many. The driver and two workers showed up in the morning, and after he loaded the whole truck, he informed that he forgot the wardrobe boxes first except for one, and then he blamed on the his boss after a while, to make a long story short, he had to wrap my clothes in blankets and plastic wrap which resulted in an extra hour and 1/2 of added to my 4 hour minimum time, and when he went to deliver the load, he took 45 minutes to drive the 5 miles, when they arrived in the new location, they unloaded everything, but we noticed that they were taking longer than usual, we went out to the truck to look, and there he is Mr. driver eating his lunch on my time, instead of helping and getting the job done, when he saw us watching, he picked up the pace, and finished; my clothes which were wrapped in plastic were left on the floor of the new place, and I had to unwrap and hang everything, it took so much time, and which caused me back injury, that I'm still suffering from, due to the repetitious movement of bending down to the floor, carrying the clothes a bunch a at time and hanging in the correct closet, if I had the wardrobe boxes this would have been done in 10 minutes.

This company deceived me, charged more than I was supposed to pay by having a driver/worker who is irresponsible, and dishonorable, I will not use their services again, and will not recommend to anyone.

Move date: August 2018 Move distance: about 100 miles The team arrived 45 minutes after the agreed window, immediately told us our items wouldn't all fit on the truck and we needed a two-day move. All our items did fit on the truck with space to spare and a two-day move wasn't an option. The team was slooooooow and eventually told us we'd have to pack - although we paid for a full pack service - this was after they'd already been on property for 4+ hours and hadn't completed even one room.

My husband and I completed over 65% of the small item packing and some of the furniture disassembly to assist. All the small item packing by the team was haphazard, unwrapped and unlabeled. The team had no respect for our possessions or the building. Our landlord noted new scratches to the stone tile and wood floors, dirt tracked through the carpets and gouges to the doorframes.

We have photo evidence of all of this. Nine hours after the movers arrived they departed to our destination. This meant they traveled during rush hour which added an hour to the journey time. On arrival at the destination, the team clearly had no intention of unpacking, stacked boxes wherever and had to be asked repeatedly to reassemble furniture.

When placing the refrigerator they left it dented and wobbling then laughed at us when we complained. We have moved many times and have never experienced this level of service, disinclination to complete the task, or snail-like speed from a removal team. I chose All American Movers because of the terrific customer service I received during the quote/booking process.

We paid extra for full pack and unpack. We completed much of the pack and were left with all the unpacking. Throughout the move, the team leader constantly hinted they'd need more money and we felt he was laughing at us for choosing this company.

Diego and Chris from My American Movers just finished moving my wife and I from Los Feliz to Burbank. They did an outstanding job -- professional, friendly, and hard-working through all 6.5 hrs of the move. I would recommend this company and those guys specifically to anyone with a local move.

This was the worst move ever done. I have used this company for the last two moves and they were great. Last year I moved a two bedroom apt from LA downtown on the 7th floor to Long Beach on the 2nd floor 26 miles away. Cost was reasonable at $500 for 3 guys for 5 hours including driving time. Now I move the same furniture from Long Beach to a house with no stairs 6 miles away and it cost me $900.

How does that happen. It was a complete rip off. They were two hours late getting to my place and then took their sweet time to run up the clock. I called to complain and all they say is the time is reasonable and charged my card anyway. Don't use this mover. They are motivated by money and could care less about customer service and taking care of the customer.

They were absolutely horrible and made our move the worst nightmare ever. It's been 8 months and I've recuperated enough (I think) now to post this. Save yourself - next time I'm moving with a Uhaul! 1.dropped 10 boxes from truck lift while loading -I think it was dishes as there was glass in our driveway from it. 2. they used our packing materials and charged us for it At this point we should have just said - nevermind.

Stop what you are doing we dont want to use you. But we were moving across the country and were stressed and tight on time. We just wanted to get this over with so we just turned a blind eye. 3. They wanted to deliver our things early which we could not do. Then I called 2 weeks later to find out status of delivery and was told "dispatch will let you know as soon as they know." I then called a week after that and they did not know the status of where our things were.

Then they called back and said that the driver was in the hospital and that they would have our stuff to us the next day. Okaaay. 4. damaged (literally smashed to pieces) glass bowls and plates ( prob from the drop mentioned above - should have taken a picture but irritated at the sight and threw away) 5. damaged computer screen - which this one I told them, I dont care about anything else, this computer needs to show up in tact.

It was working kind of funky and then the computers hard drive eventually crashed. 6. cut up orginal artwork (i'm an artist, and they xacto knifed one of my original artworks) 7. Many many broken frames We also asked them to recommend a car delivery service. We shipped 3 cars, 1. 2 of them got dry rot and we had to replace all the wheels. 2. Damage on the underside of all 3 cars. 3.

The delivery time of each car was unknown until the day of delivery which was difficult to coordinate. When we called to get ETA, we were told that they could not reach the driver, on multiple occassions. We were also given a delivery date and the driver never showed up.

I have now received over two dozen calls from this 800 service despite numerous times letting them know I no longer require service. Each call is more aggressive and harassing. I would strongly advise against using this service or any of their partners as their point of contact staff is extremely unprofessional.

The movers did an excellent job. Very kind and professional! They came within the time frame that was given and were quick. I would definitely recommend them to someone. HOWEVER, I would not recommend they go through the 800 service because they will lie to you. I was told it would be $99 per hour and a max of 4 hours. Once the movers came (and it was too late to cancel of course) I was told it was $99 per hour if I paid cash and $109 if I paid with a card. Also, my estimated time changed to 5 hours.

I called the movers back and they said they would reimburse me, but then I never heard back from them. I called back again and then they told me I had to send an email. The employees were very nice when it came to taking my money, but are very hesitant when it come to fixing their mistakes.

I've used this company twice now to make moves between cities that are 50 miles away. Alex and Diego did a great job with my latest move. Very efficient, honest, and professional service. Gili, the person who set my appointment through the phone, was very clear about the fees and terms of the service. She also did her best to work with me and my specific needs. I will be calling them again for future services. Thank you My American Movers!

This is our second time using My American Movers, Chris, Carlos Bargas, Martin, and Carlos E, I cannot tell you how amazing you guys were. It was a big move, 11 hours! And 97 degrees. I knew it would be at least 8 hours but our stairs and different levels made it challenging. These guys did everything we asked, they were professional, polite, and considerate of our things. Gili logistically arranged our move (both times) and she is sweet as can be, on top of it.

The price is very reasonable, it was at the higher end of our moving budget but we would not have spent it any where else. Thank you for spending the day with us and all of your hard work. We truly appreciated all 4 of you. Sincerely Laura & Don.

My Response to MAM's response of my review: Don't even try it, My American Movers! I just said that I am a REPEAT customer (and had you on speed dial). Your dismissive claim that I was never a customer further confirms my concern that your customer service has changed for the worse. First Review: I used this company a total of 4 times. The first 3 times were reasonable.

I appreciated that they helped pack and wrap heavy items, delivered everything (including washer and dryer), AND set up big furniture items in the new residence. With the exception of a few nicks and bruises to a few pieces, I was relieved to have the help for less than $850 each time to move 2 and 3 bedroom condos the distance of about 2-3 miles each. EASY!

The reason I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN is that they charged me over $4,000 to move much less furniture (3 desks, and an entertainment cabinet) that was already nearly packed in a storage unit in LA to my home in Pasadena. Their excuse was that they had to "crate" the tops of the desks, and one of the doors on the entertainment cabinet, which were made of tempered glass.

To my surprise, I eventually learned that "crate" meant "to wrap in a cardboard box and secure it with tape". Big whoop! That's what movers do! Their other excuse was mileage, but the distance from the LA location to Pasadena was less than 30 miles. If I were told that the job would cost me over $4000 to move approximately 4 items only 30 miles, I never would have agreed to the job! Instead, I was given a ball park figure and told after everything was unloaded that it was $4000+!--Pretty big "ball park".

On top of that, they put the cabinet doors on backwards during reassembly at the new location. Since then, I've married and moved again. Our blended family now has 6 kids (all of whom will also be moving off to college soon), but trust and believe me when I say I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AGAIN! If they would surprise a previously-satisfied, frequent customer with this kind of up charge without batting an eye AND decline my requests to be more fair with the UNDISCLOSED costs, I have no confidence that I or those I'd recommend would be treated fairly in the future either. NEVER AGAIN!

I believe I forgot to update a warning that this company outsources their work to other movers that are totally shady. We paid cash (because they charge a fee for cc) and the movers we paid pocketed the cash and said we never paid. After our terrible experience (most of which was not mentioned in this review) not only did they not try to make things right but they actually accused us of not paying what we owe!

Again I find it amazing that every single person that wrote a review remembered and included the moving crews names. That isn't fishy at all! Not recommended! Without going into a ton of detail I would highly recommend using another more legitimate company for your move. If you do happen to use these movers make sure you get all your receipts or else they will accuse you of not paying and try to collect twice. Beware that they contract out your business to other people who are extremely unreliable and unprofessional.

These people were about to give us other people's belongings that they forgot to drop off with the move before ours! Also, after you write a review that they don't like they call and harass you and tell you they want to resolve the issue but take months to try and resolve it and ultimately don't! Don't waste your time even trying.

Extremely unprofessional! It seems very suspicious to me that every single good review about this company includes the names of all the movers. This would be believable if a few reviews were like this but every single one? I don't think so. People had to have been asked to place fake reviews or at least coached what to say. I definitely wouldn't use these movers again.

There was an issue with the weight of the truck and they had to remove a bunch of our stuff to be delivered at a later date. when the rest of it finally was delivered they outsourced the job to another company. When this other companys movers arrived they said they were only going to unload everything in the garage. Not what we thought we were paying for. I called to discuss my dissatisfaction with them after the fact but they had already received our money and obviously didn't care!

The only thing they did well was show up on time and smile nicely. Here's what they did wrong. Took a 3 inch chunk out of my old house wall. Take 9 hours to pack pre-packed boxes onto a truck, drive 20 minutes and and load. Just so you know I had 30 boxes, one tv, one small sofa, two bed, and a dinning table set. The worst part was they did not do a inventory list.

They picked up 30 boxes, but i received only 27 boxes back. Of course I leaned I was missing boxes after they left. Then when I called to collect money for my missing boxes I was offered 50 dollars for items that cost well over 350 dollars. In the end I spent over 1,000 dollars to move 20 minutes down the 10 freeway, lost 350 dollars in personal items, and had to spend 100 dollars repairing damaged walls.

They were very helpful. The movers were on time, diligent and quick on their feet. They really knew what they are doing because I see them move our things with such ease. They also managed to get it done much earlier than we expected. I also like the customer rep for being professional and courteous. Was so easy getting hold of their office and asked for their service. Totally and highly commendable moving service that's for sure.

One of the many reputable companies I know and can handle the job professionally. Had hired them when sis decided to move her things to her fiance's home. Quick, careful and very efficient in handling the items and moving them into the truck. The team of movers were definitely experts. I can honestly say that everything they have done was clearly of top quality. I am pleased with this company and would love to hire them as well.

From the reservation to the move to the Manager bringing us a missing shoe to our new home--everything was perfect. Worked hard and all was well. We thought they were fabulous. Would recommend them and use them again, without hesitation.
