Ted and his team did a great job moving my household to Florida. Everything turned out to be as expected and as agreed upon. I opted to pack the smaller items myself while they took care of the furnitures and other bulk items. It saved me money and worked out very well. They were very careful with the items and with the houses at the pick up and delivery location. The pickup and delivery was within minutes of the promised time.

*** PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY FOR A MOVE. I hired Direct Moving & Storage to help move my family and I to Florida. I met with the owner Ted, I gave him the info of all the items I was moving, thus he provided me w/ a quote for the move. I had received quotes from different companies but I decided to go w/ Ted as he told me the day we met that "he is not like other moving companies he would not charge me more the day of the move" BIG MISTAKE.
On the moving day his movers came and picked up my items, loaded the truck and closed it, then gave me a MUCH higher price, almost double from the initial quote. Never during the move did his movers tell me that I had gone over the initial "quoted amount" I called Ted to see if this situation could be rectified, but he did not budge on price, he was very unprofessional, angry and then stopped responding to my calls.
When I asked the movers to unload the items they would not and then wanted me to pay them extra to unload the truck. I had no choice but to call the Police. It took for the Police to have them take my items off the truck. Many of my items broke while the movers took them back off the truck in a very careless manner and broke many items. This company took my $500 DEPOSIT and did NOT credit it back. This was a. HORRIBLE experience for my family and I.

I've used Direct Moving & Storage for my last two moves. Since there was a few months between moves the second time, I took advantage of their storage services too. The furniture arrived in perfect condition. Ted & team take pride in their work, are professional, responsive, careful, considerate, on-time, and provide great customer service. Traveling near and far, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality mover. You can put your mind at ease with Direct Moving & Storage!

I've used Direct Moving twice in two years and both moves were absolutely perfect. Ted and his team are kind, quick and super careful. Despite moving on a rainy day, everything was protected and moved into its right spot without getting damaged or wet. Thank you Ted and the guys for caring so much and working so hard! Ted and his friendly and happy crew moved us from Manhattan to Mamaroneck. They were great top to bottom. They packed up all our valuables. Nothing was damaged. They put down our heavy rug in our new place. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. This is NOT the Direct Moving & Storage in NJ which apparently is not great. Service: In-state moving

We have moved house a few times. These guys were the best movers we've ever had, they also securely stored all of our belongings for longer than expected which helped me solve the problem of our sellers massively messing us around and changing move dates on us! Ted, his son and their whole crew were courteous, efficient and very professional. We had a few quotes, and these guys were very competitively priced. I also love the idea of supporting a smaller business run by a hardworking guy, rather than one of the chains. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

This is the best moving company on the east coast. We used them to help move my mom from Westchester county NY to West Palm Beach. Their pricing is great, and worth every penny. Unlike any other moving company I have ever used. Ted, the owner, was involved in every step. His son, Lucas, picked up our load of stuff. Very clean, organized, informed and professional.
The dropoff to a storage unit was 3 days ahead of schedule which was fantastic for us. Ted. and Lucas were both so personable and sweet to my mom. They really helped make a very difficult time for us quite pleasurable.

I cannot say enough incredible things about this moving company. Ted the owner was courteous, helpful and all around amazing. Him and his crew made moving day flawless. There was no stress, he did exactly what he said he would and they took great care of all of my property. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great moving company that goes above and beyond!

Ted and his team have moved my husband and me twice. Both times, the team was incredible- highly professional, respectful of our things and quick! Their pricing is competitive and worth every penny. They moved us into and out of a second-story apartment that required them to take a window out to get the box spring in and to move the rest of our furniture in and out through a narrow staircase with two turns in it. I can't recommend Direct Moving & Storage highly enough.
