DO NOT use this company. I was quoted by Mr. Hood " your move should be 395.00 maximum" and he said it was 149.00 an hour. I called because it was taking longer than what 395.00 was going to allow for. Mot only was Mr. Hood extremely ride, he talked over me and threatened to have his movers set my stuff in the street if I didn't pay 736.00 in cash.
He neglected to tell me he doesn't accept checks. Unfortunately after talking with CPD to see if this legally constituted theft I was forced to pay the 736 before they would unload my furniture. He is the most rude, disrespectful and dishonest person I've ever had the displeasure to deal with.

A couple of weeks ago my family and I moved from Ohio here to Chattanooga, I must say that Stan and his crew were great! They were very informative, very professional, and took pride in their work. They are overall a good crew of people, I would recommend them to anyone, especially for long moves. I will use them for all my moving needs. If I could give them 20 stars I would do so.

Don't waste your time even trying with this company. They low ball with a estimate and then charge a extra fee for everything. They were told everything I had when I got the quote. Was NEVER told that I would have all these extra fees. They wanted $200 to move my deep freezer and $200 to move my dresser. My adjustable bed frame also $200 fee. My quote was $347 and they also didn't include the $89 fee for gas in the quote.
I paid almost $500 and I refused the extra "fees". I now have to pay ANOTHER COMPANY to move the stuff that they tried to charge me extra for since they refused to move it without the fees. My $347 estimate would have been $1100 just for moving a 600sq ft house. Even paying another company will be cheaper then these crooks. Do yourself a favor and AVOID them. The owner was contacted and was no help at all.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value Booked a move 2 weeks in advance and was just cancelled on less than 24 hours before our move. we were told one of his repeat customers needs something and he has to take care of them over us. this is not a real company its one guy. stay away and find someone else!

Would do zero stars if I could. Was two hours late. Awful experience. We used then on 8/15/21. Not professional at all. They scrapes up our walls at our old apt & new. Our two dressers were chipped. They left their used speedway cups on our table. We ended up having to buy a new dryer due to them dropping the screw inside the machinery. We made the owner aware of our concerns/happenings & he could care less.
He said he would send his "my guy" over to fix it. He made it very clear he would be doing it on his own time. That's wrong. He should be paid for doing anything that has to with the job. The owner also told us that he hopes we tip them well. Of course we will but what about paying them a decent wage? My husband was at the old apt assisting with the move & heard one of the workers say "that will be a great tip" due to having to move a couch.
That same worker jumped on my toddlers trampoline.what if that snapped? We also got charged for their time during their 30 minute break at the gas station. I should've listened to prior reviews. Instead we gave them a chance due to being budget friendly & look what we got.

Hired Hood to unload a trailer. Was supposed to get a crew of 3 at 9 am. We got 2 guys at 1030. Was told (later) that I would be paying for their travel time as well. Guys worked for 3 hours and he tried to charge us for 2 more hours (to work in Cleveland). We argued over the issues and the owner (Mr. Hood) said he would discount it but would take the difference out of the employees check. Huh!?
Then he asked if we were going to tip the guys before we settled on what we would be paying. Super shady businessman. Even the crew was not professional- 1 guy was 4 days in, they had no straps for heavy lifting, no furniture dollies, etc. Bottom line- we paid $700 to 2 guys for 3 hours of actual work by some amateur movers. I would never use them again.

They called multiple times the week before to confirm moving date and time. called us an hr after they were supposed to show up and said they were about to be on their way. They then called back shortly after to say they weren't coming. Left us stranded on our moving day with absolutely zero notice. Wouldn't leave a bad review if they even tried to give us prior notice they weren't going to show up.

I would not trust these people to move a dollhouse! We had a move booked for 3 weeks with this company. Had multiple communications with them to confirm and discuss the move. 30 mins before they were supposed to show up they called us and told us that they couldn't do our job. I already had renters lined up to move into the house we were moving out of.
The secretary was rude and unprofessional, to the point where she hung up on us. The owner of the company refused to talk to us, even though he said he would call us back. Do not use these people, they are unprofessional and will screw up your move, and end up costing you money.

Thank goodness for Hood Moving, they made our move date much less stressful compared to other moves we've had. We closed on the house we were moving into on the same day as our move, and we are so grateful everything went exactly as planned. Our moving crew was punctual, and was able to back their huge truck up our steep driveway (impressive), which made loading go much quicker compared to our previous movers.
The crew worked hard and quickly, and wrapped our furniture in moving blankets, which we really appreciated. Our timing went longer than our original quote, but that was our mistake - we had a lot more stuff than we thought. We were worried we had misplaced a box, but we found it later. What I really appreciated was how responsive Hood Moving was to our dilemma.
They even offered to reimburse us for the kitchen supplies we thought we were missing. We were embarrassed to find that we actually left a few small appliances in our old kitchen! Excellent customer service and I appreciated that they price matched us with a larger national moving company. We try to support local businesses when we can, and we're glad we did. We would move with them again.

I did not use them but witnessed what they did to our neighborhood and neighbors yard. This was not the first time as they did the same thing two years ago when moving the people into their new home. This truck is too big for our circles and damages included; sidewalk cracking from running up into a neighbors yard, flower garden demolishing in another neighbors yard and marking up the curb in our island area.
A neighbor made call to their office and the person on the other end was rude and uncaring about the destruction of their truck driver. You may notice that the truck has a different name on the side but the drivers and crew all had on blue shirts with Hood printed on them. The sidewalk marking shot shows where they busted it last time and the new marks made by the truck.
You can also see the truck up in the yard and possibly damaging our irrigation system under their tires We will not know until we fire it up in a couple of weeks. Please avoid using this company. UPDATE and Clarification: Again, I did not use this company. I am an HOA Board Member looking out for our community and residents. Mr. Hood and I have had a civil conversation about the situation. It will be ongoing until we determine if irrigation lines will have to be repaired due to the heavy weight of the semi on the properties.
