Very unprofessional. Office workers gossip about renters with each other and other tenants. Walk by to see the renter with the "spyware" attached to their door, so they can tell office staff about you. Managers create a very hostile environment, especially when you ask about charges or disagree with them about anything. Glad when I leave here, which will be soon. DO NOT RENT HERE! They are cheaper, but renter beware.

Just got a controlled temp unit at Acorn, today. Excellent customer service so far. She asked if our unit location worked for us and offered alternatives if the unit size wasn't what we needed. Clean, inexpensive, and close to home. Only time will tell how the rest of the experience goes! But, FYI, there is a 50%first month coupon out there right now!

BEWARE: Read reviews with caution before signing your contract. If your storage just so happens to have a faulty lock, and the staff verifies it, not only do they handle it unprofessionally (screaming like a child for absolutely no reason), but they don't provide a viable solution such as giving you a working one (a simple solution). They know that once your in a civil contract they don't have to do anything for you at that point.
Storage lockers have one job and that's to be secure for storage. Staff does not need to be unprofessional either, but that's not what you see until your John Handcock is locked in paper.

The receptionist was exceptional but their policy sucked. I rented the unit based on their measurement. Afterward, I got my non-working car towed there for storage. When we tried to push it in, the unit was too small. Their policy is not to refund money so we were out that plus we had to get the car towed elsewhere and rent a whole other unit from another facility! I would not go by their advertised measurements and be sure you don't change your mind if you give them money. You will lose it and be stuck like we were.

Acorn storage has several hundred storage units on both sides of the street. The price isn't bad. I pay $9.99 for a 5x10 closet style unit. This basically holds my Christmas things and some other stuff I only use once a year. You can call and pay your bill via phone or even pay annually (they will refund if you leave). You only have to give a 5 day notice when vacating. They also have a trailer for you to use free of charge on move day.
