The crew was amazing! They were fast but careful. We had two trucks and 6 guys and everything made it. We had zero damaged or broken items. I would highly recommend Big Al's Moving.

These guys are incredible! We just moved to PDX and have been trying to find someone to move a hot tub up a giant flight of stairs and into our backyard. Everyone we called, including cranes, said there was NO WAY it could be done. Not Big Al! He said he'd have a crew over to do it no problem -- and that's exactly what happened! The impossible was done with ease!

These guys got a 7x7 hot tub up a steep 25 step staircase with grace and precision! I couldn't recommend them more. We will be using them for anything and everything we need moved :

I don't even know where to start---I could not have asked for a better experience moving two very valuable pianos. First, they scheduled me right away. I thougth I might have to wait a long time. Second, Max and his crew showed up right on time. They were very communicative via phone ahead of time. They were SO FRIENDLY AND NICE! They were also amazing at the care they took to move those instruments.

My son and I were in awe of their strength and skill. I highly recommend this company to move anything, especially things that need extra care. I didn't find their prices to be too high considering what it was that they were moving and how far they had to go. I felt like we were all friends at the end of the day. It was a true pleasure dealing with Max and his team. They carefully moved my irreplaceable antique furniture to my new home. They were exceptionally careful not to even touch my expensive woodwork while navigating tight corners and stairs. They were joyful to be around, while executing the move in an efficient and professional manner. I recommend them highly and have referred them to friends and family. They are totally trustworthy, I wouldn't trust my next move to anybody other than Big Al's Specialty Movers.

I passed a Big Al's truck yesterday on 164th Ave in Vancouver, and was reminded of the several times (4X, i believe) my daughter and i used their services. Every time i have beenimpressed by their thorough and caring approach, their knowledge and experience, and their professionalism and good humor. They have moved our grand piano three times and a spinet once, along with other furniture.

The pianos especially have deep sentimental value. I have not had a need lately, but they will be the first movers i call if i have moving needs again. Top notch company and employees! Thank you!

Big Al moved us from California to Washington. I have a valuable 1940 Steinway grand piano and picked Big Al because they specialize in piano moving. He took such great care with the piano as well as our heavy furniture, delicate artwork and even one of our vehicles, that I will never have anyone else move us. We are presently renting while our home is being remodeled so he will be moving us again in a few months when it is finished.

Thanks to his competent team, I no longer have anxiety about moving. In fact, just yesterday his team picked up our dining set and brought it to a local furniture refinisher. It was a small job, unlike the massive move they did for us a few months ago, but they handled it just as professionally. They showed up on time, moved everything in a very short period of time and the charge was very reasonable. I highly recommend Big Al!

I am incredibly grateful to Big Al's for helping me with a particularly difficult piano move involving a set of stairs with a 90 degree turn. It was so tricky in fact that four other piano moving companies in Portland wouldn't even quote me. The crew was communicative and punctual the day of, and pleasant and professional throughout. It was quite the operation, and they definitely knew what they were doing. Maranda in the office was also very responsive.

It was pretty pricy, but I knew that would be the case given the nature of the move and the size of the crew. It was also a gamble because there is no refund policy (they would have delivered to a backup location in the event that the move was unsuccessful). However, the feedback I got from Maranda at the office was that it was "likely, not not guaranteed", and I felt comfortable enough with that to take the risk. I definitely had my fingers crossed, and was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly everything went in the end!

These guys are truly incredible. Fast, capable, and very conscientious.

This review is a month late but I just have to review them because they were so awesome. I didn't have much to move, but couldn't do it on my own. Big Al's was very professional throughout the entire process. They made the entire move stress free. I would definitely use them in the future and recommend them to all of my friends.

We used Big Al's for our recent local move. They were fantastic! I've never used movers before, and was nervous because of the horror stories people sometimes have from using moving companies. Big Al's exceeded all of our expectations. They were friendly, efficient and made the day so much less stressful! Highly recommend! Not enough good things can be said about this crew! We have used big al's twice in the past to move our piano but most recently we've asked for their help in moving our shop. This included metal shelving, air compressor, two full size tool boxes and dozens of totes of car parts. The team was prompt, kind, thorough, personable, efficient and reasonably priced. Ben & his team moved our piano and max and his crew moved our shop; we have had an excellent experience with both crews.
