I wanted to clean the rugs in my apartment and thought storing the items in a U-Haul was best. Kenny's was supposed to help. I received no phone call alerting me that they were coming, and neither mover introduced himself to me. The lead mover threw a temper tantrum when he saw everything I had packed and assumed I expected him to load all of it into the truck.
If he had taken the time to talk to me, he would have realized all I wanted was them to pack the mother's attic and load the big stuff so I could finish the rest by myself. I only scheduled an hour with them anyway, so I knew they couldn't pack everything. My living room WAS a mess, but the bedroom was organized. After looking at the living room, the lead mover DEMANDED I drive the U-Haul to the front of the apartment building.
I parked it in back to keep it off the road and because it was more convenient to load back there. I told him it was more convenient there. He yelled at me to move the truck. I was afraid he would hurt me, so I did. Again, had he talked to me and let me show him my apartment, he would have seen I have a back door to the parking lot in back. I provided 9' x 12' paper tarps to cover my mattress and box spring, which were supposed to protect them from the truck's floor.
As you can see from the pictures, the movers didn't ensure the covers wrapped around either the mattress or the box spring. The movers didn't tear down my bed frame and my table, either. That's standard practice for movers. When the stuff came off the truck a few days later, I found damage to two pieces: one of which is SOLID wood. Basically, the mover took his tantrum out on my property. Nothing was ok about how I was treated! I would prefer to rate 0 stars.

Just had Kenny's help me move today and the entire experience was wonderful. The movers arrived right on time and were extremely polite and helpful. They took the time to walk the whole house with me before starting to ensure that I did not miss anything in prepping for them which I thought was really helpful. They worked very hard and efficiently while still being careful not to damage any of my belongings, and got everything exactly where it needed to go. Kenny's helped make a stressful move very easy for me and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future!

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value Canceled the night before they were supposed to come. Said 2 workers caught to coco. That sounds like a you problem. Now I'm need to be out of my place tomorrow and I have no movers. Unacceptable. The secretary was rude. Ken never got back to me. Just a really unprofessional business.

My family needed an upright piano moved from one room into another room and it's too heavy for us to lift. Our original movers backed out at the last minute and we needed it moved ASAP. (We're having our floors refinished and the piano had to go somewhere else.) We called Kenny's and they moved the piano the same day. It was quick, quality service. No, the men did not wear masks but they were doing heavy lifting-- I understand. Kenny's bailed us out when we needed it. No complaints. We'll absolutely hire them to move our furniture back.

I called Kenney's to move a living room set into my apartment and move my old couch out as I'm 6 months pregnant and they were able to get me in last minute! They gave me a delivery window and called to let me know they were on the way. Harriet in the office answered all of my questions and was very prompt and courteous! The men did a great job and it was very affordable- worth every cent! Thank you Kenney's for your wonderful, fast, and efficient service!

Absolutely the worst business. Booking the move was the only good part, pleasant on the phone, went over a detailed list of the stuff we had. I even called back and added some major items to the list so they would be prepared. I asked if they come and look first, no, no need for that, we are all set. ok? I said this is a large move they were going to send two trucks and four guys and I wanted to get going early, so 7 am was the time.
They call the night before (Monday), they wanted to start at 8am instead "because we have a large move and the guys are tired", sure come at 8 but be ready. So moving day comes and we have our beds taken apart, a ton of boxes and we are waiting. now they are like 13 minutes away on google maps, but it took them about 30 just to show up, and with only one truck?
So the head guy ( I guess since he had a clipboard) comes in and looks around and immediately goes outside to get on the phone. No second crew shows up either, what is going on? So this guy finally comes back and just says 'we refuse to move you' like that's a thing? Said we have too much stuff, that's the job! Just refused.and left. That's it.
No call from Kenney's, nothing. Worst ever. They should be out of business to do this to people. Website says they take the stress out of moving, total crap, I have hardly ever had more stress. And then having to arrange another mover (see my other review, was actually a great experience). Obviously these guys don't want to work and wanted a day off I guess, whatever.
Can tell they don't have vested interest in their job which is to move families. Pro tip-= I should have read these reviews on Yelp because I would have know what we were in for! They have been in business over 70 years, but it won't be many more with the crappy way they run things. Avoid Kenney's at all costs and tell all your friends and relatives the same. Terrible.

We were very disappointed with Kenney's Delivery. Their team of 4 men showed up and when we asked them to please wear masks (we are in the middle of a pandemic and they are moving furniture from a home with elderly people and fragile immune systems). The leader's comment was "we aren't allowed to wear masks". Hello? excuse me? They were all incredible rude and disrespectful to the packing group as well the elderly man who lived in the house.
I have never experienced a moving team this unprofessional and disrespectful. Also, people are dying of this pandemic and to not wear a mask is simply idiotic. I will NEVER hire this company for anything.

I would NOT recommend this company to ANYONE! Moving is stressful enough without a company that lies and treats people the way this company treated me. Weirdly I used them several times in the past without incident.but this last move was unbelievable. I think the problem is the person in the office who schedules everything. I spent several hours talking to her about the coordination of moving things and timing.
When it came to the date - one of their trucks broke down - they sent a smaller truck - it did not hold all my stuff and they were so delayed everything was a mess. And how did they handle it? They yelled at me! And told me they were dropping off my stuff in the front yard and would not pick up a second load. It was crazy. They are unprofessional. Unreliable and all I can say is GO ELSEWHERE!

I used Kenney's to move to Galesburg and the entire experience was great. The staff in the office gave me a clear estimate and we're very quick to answer any questions at had. The movers were great. Very nice gentlemen who were very careful with my belongings. They we're very helpful and did everything I'd expect. Great team!

I paid for the time it took them to drive to a neighboring town and sit around waiting for me to show up at the house. They never had the courtesy to let me know they were leaving early. They griped constantly about how heavy & awkward the furniture was to maneuver. It wasn't well-protected and got banged around corners during handling. After they had delivered the furniture to my home & left I noticed quite a few Blu-ray collector sets of TV shows missing from the room in which they had been working. I know they had been there the day before, and no one else had been in that room. I will never use this 'service' again.

We hired Kenney's to move about 3 blocks from a rental to a house we bought at the end of June 2017. My wife was out for a jog and as she was almost home, walking in front of our house when she overheard the movers discussing that our move would not take the estimated 5 hours. I believe they didn't realize she lived at the residence otherwise they probably would not have said anything.
Long story short, the movers took 2-3 breaks in order to drag out the time. Apparently I pay for their breaks because it ate into about 30-40 minutes time which I was charged at a 150.00/hr rate. So they got their 5 hours in, even though they could have shaved off 45 minutes maybe even an hour. They also missed a few items I had pointed out needed to be loaded onto the truck during our initial walk through.
None of my furniture was wrapped in padding and I was not happy about that. My flooring wasn't protected in my new home. The movers also used a dolly to move heavy items up my hardwood stairs. No cardboard or padding went down and they assured me that they would not scratch the wood and that they have done this a lot. etc. They even showed me the hard rubber skid pads on the dolly to ease my concerns.
They didn't seem to want to do anything to protect the steps beyond showing me what the 2 wheel dolly had build in. I was hesitant to give them the OK but they offered no alternative and were going to move my stuff up with that dolly. When it was all said and done, they scratched up one of my steps pretty good, which I didn't notice until they had left.
I emailed Kenney's a few days after the move asking for the owner/managers contact info so I could voice my concerns. I was told she was on vacation and would be out of the office for a week. I sent the owner an email complaining that I wasn't happy with what had happened with the stair damage and the fact the movers ended up padding my bill with break time.
They aren't my employees, I should not have to pay on the clock rates when they are not working. The owner never replied or called. Piss poor customer service, I will never use Kenney's again and will never recommend them to anyone looking for movers. I expected more for spending $800+ dollars.

Bloomington is extremely fortunate to have Kenny's Delivery. I grew up in Bloomington and my parents used them for every move they ever made. I have lived all over the country and moved many, many times. When it came time for my mother to move, rather suddenly, into assisted living, I trusted Kenny's to move the furniture she could not take and put it into storage.
They not only accurately estimated how much storage space I needed, but moved it at a fair price and my mother said, "They were super! Don't ever use anyone else!" I can tell you, today they lifted a huge burden off my shoulders, as I live in South Carolina, and needed the help of people I could trust. They did not disappoint!

I will have to say this was by far the WORST moving place i have ever seen They was not on time, When i called the office at 8am to ask where they was i was told they was on their way. Still happend to be an hr later @9am. All 3 guys they sent to my home could not even move my things from the truck to my house without stoping to pull up their jeans!
There was many things broken, maybe cuz they had to let my boxes drop before their jean did. As i see Steve V. posted.the men was laughing about something was i went up to check things out i see one guy looking in my night stand! (un called for). I DO NOT recomend Kenney's Delivery.

I'm surprised no one has written a review yet, as several people recommended Kenney's via word of mouth for my recent move. I couldn't have been more pleased with Kenney's. They were easy to work with from scheduling to the actual move. The movers worked hard and efficiently and were super friendly. My furniture and boxes were handled with care.
They were on time. Prices were very fair. But I think my favorite moment of all was when the man on the phone suggested places to get free boxes, and only THEN told me that they have some new ones that they also sell. "But I'd say don't come in and buy those unless you can't find any of those free ones. Oh, try this place too." I love you, Kenney's. (PS: Totally scored the free boxes.)
