Awful. First off when they arrived to pick up, they hadn't received the updated list so they accused me of trying to get away with more than we claimed. So many of our things arrived broken or missing. A bunch of our boxes also showed up soaking wet and falling apart. Almost every plastic packing tub showed up shattered in some part, so we will never be able to use them again. We filed a claimed and it's been four months and there is no update at all.

If I could give this company a minus rating I certainly would! From not bringing enough manpower, moving boxes, or an appropriate sized van. Their account specialist, Amanda, was useless in answering our many questions or responding in a timely manner. A custom made table base was left at the side of the house by the movers, hidden by the dark when we did the final walk through.
This wasn't noticed until the next day when our realtor informed us long after the movers left town. MVL promised they would pick it up in the next "few days" and deliver it from Tucson to the van in Phoenix, with its final destination to NH. Nine months later it is still stored in my old neighbors garage, and we will have to pay a driver to haul it to our new home. Trying to contact a supervisor proved impossible, as she never returned our calls.
Regarding the state of our belongings, much of the furniture was severely scratched, gouged or irreparably damaged. Many glass items were broken (due to being improperly packed) and we actually received 2 items that were not ours. Most boxes did not have a number to help in figuring out if things were missing. Worst of all, after submitting a claim for several thousand dollars to cover the damaged articles, we were offered $200 as as a show of "good will". We could go on and on, but you get the idea. This company is a complete disaster; learn from our mistake and walk away from them. Better yet, run!

DEFINITELY DON'T USE. This is the worse moving company out there. I moved from California to Ohio. My delivery was delayed by weeks because they couldn't find drivers. When delivery finally arrived, I couldn't believe the damage. The insurance claim paid so little, it wasn't enough to replace one item. I signed with Nationwide thinking I had contracted one of the top ten companies only to find they were brokers.
On the day of pick up, the packers drove a rental truck and explained they were subcontractors and assured me their insurance would cover any damage, if any. They assured me they were professionals and would handle with care and protect with blankets and careful packing. I later discovered no blankets were used. They placed heavy boxes on top of fragile ones resulting in crushed collectibles, dishes and glassware.
They destroyed a clothes dryer, desk, file cabinet, TV armoire, coffee table, lamp, and lost items. In addition to poor service, they demanded cash payment or postal money order upon delivery before unloading the truck. Who demands cash? I paid with a money order. The following day the company called me for proof of payment because one of the delivery men stole the money orders. This company should not be in business, and shame on Nationwide for contracting with them.

Multiple things broken. Items went missing. I got other peoples important and valuable things. They didn't know how to wrap or stack in truck. They stayed way later than anticipated to pack up the house. And they charged me extra 5grand moment of because they said we had too much stuff for one truck.

Pick up: Nov 12 2021 Delivery: Jan 16 2022 What a nightmare has it been working with this company. Not responsive. Full of lies. Majority of our items are all damaged and after reading a few reviews below mine, I am afraid we have lost thousands of dollars and will not be compensated for our items. However, we will try to move forward with a claim.
I have tried calling their only number, they're answering and hanging up. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Lies. Scam. I can go on about my horrible experience. Update on compensating our items. They agreed to $0.60 per pound. WHAT A JOKE! Our $800 dyson that weights like 4 pounds for $2?! Stick it up your a**.

At first I left a great review before they took off with our stuff. ( my bad) that was on August 10th. They will come and pack up your house for a fee, and not do a good job. Come October 1st 2021, they finally show up! Cool, we found out that. -They do not handle your furniture with care. -FRAGILE doesn't mean anything even if they write it on the box. -They quote you two weeks but ours came in 50 days. Yes, 50. -We wasted $3000 dollars for them to move our queen bed and 10 boxes. -Good luck being told the correct information regarding your belongings when you check in to see where they are at in their moving process. -When inquiring about your belongings go via email rather than the phone. -If you want help unloading they will charge you by how many steps they take from the VAN into your front door. Yes, seriously. -Their contract is a guideline rather than a contract so if they mess up they're covered and whatever problem you have will not get solved. -We will never use this company again. -

I wish I came to Yelp BEFORE contracting this company. It was a MONTH AND A HALF of unnecessary stress, anxiety, and sleeping on an air mattress. The sales agent Sam, in hindsight is your typical sales guy, talks up the company to be great and all the things he assures you won't go wrong, does. They keep your credit card on file, post paying for your deposit.
In which I was FRAUDULENTLY charged $970. When asking their associate Amanda they said they do not keep CCs on file (Lie) and did not have any record of such charge. Turns out their accountant accidentally charged us. How ironic. Overall the stress of not knowing when you'll get your things, if you'll get everything, and if anything will be broken for over a month is unnecessary and for my first move I learned the hard lessons.
Never trust a sales guy from Vegas. The actual company is ran as Respect LLC. Which if you have any respect for your hard earned items. Do yourself a favor GO ELSEWHERE. **If you've already pulled the trigger and wondering if you've made a mistake. Just know the movers themselves were fantastic and do a great job, when they actually get to your house at least.

Please run far away and fast from Movers Van Lines. They are absolutely terrible and quoted me a price with a binding contract that doubled when the movers arrived at my home. It actually gets worse because they were several hours late and there were supposed to be 4 movers but only 1 person was there. The truck was not finished being packed until 1 AM.
Once the movers arrived at my final destination, the movers opened the truck and I had broken furniture. The two movers recommended I contact the so called insurance company and I did so but my claim was denied! Please save yourself a lot of headaches and do NOT use this moving company. They falsely claim to be part of the Better Business Bureau but the BBB has NO association with them.

This company is horrible. I will be filing a complaint with the BB as well as the FMCSA. First their driver on pick up was trying to get me to pay him under the table for the additional storage space on the truck. This driver also severely damaged an expensive table by breaking the two sides/legs off at the bolts, then wrapping them in separate blankets like all was fine.
The damage is ridiculous on some of my items, as well as a brand new Sony TV. Not to mention I put my stuff in their free 30 day storage facility and gave them notice before the 30 day deadline and they still tried to charge me full price for storage, which I fought and still ended up paying $250 for 3 days of storage. Horrible company, don't trust the reviews, I will be posting to all of them.

Worst experience ever, in my many years of moving. It's been now 30 days since my items were picked up and I have not yet received. The back and forth with customer service is insane and every week gets pushed delivery for another week. Before choosing to book with them, read the contract in detail before signing anything and that means before even before booking with them as they will not show the contract until they are picking your items up and as what they state verbally is VERY different on what is written in the fine line.
I just pray I get my stuff in this lifetime, intact and not broken or stolen. I will never use this company again and unfortunately it is my fault for not following my gut in the first place and paying a little more money for another company I used in my past that was phenomenal and I got my belongings in a week and half across country. I strongly do not recommend this company unfortunately.

We left California and just know, you're going to get raked over the coals by these moving companies, $18,000 total for us to get 2.5 storage units out of California. Angie's List is a scam, don't trust it. These people pay to have their business listed on their site. Do a quick Yelp check and you'll know everything you need to know about these moving companies before making a decision.
The customer service agents are worthless, smug and will say refer to your contract which, btw is completely different than what you agree to with the sales guy. They load your shit then say sign this once your shit is already loaded. A bunch of Russian guys who don't speak English loaded up our belongings. This moving company checks every single box there is that causes anxiety.
The sales guy is good, he makes you feel comfortable, he's personable and says all the right thing to make you feel ok with total strangers loading your personal possessions and life into a truck and hauling it away. What they don't tell you is your stuff is going to Las Vegas and will be unloaded into a storage unit with other people's stuff to be delivered when they damn well feel like it.
Then they reload it when it's delivered. So, that's 4 times your stuff is loaded and unloaded! 4 times things can be broken or misplaced. If you try to call the salesman who sold you over the phone, you get the run around. We were given a quote which was outrageous btw and when the guys showed up they loaded only partially and said if you want to pay more we can take it all but you're at capacity even though the truck wasn't filled.
My husband left with a horrible feeling in his gut that he made a mistake but it was too late, our stuff was gone. I had nightmares about losing our personal items like family albums, letters, Christmas decorations and valuables. My husband was smart enough to take our valuables and wedding pictures and put them in our car. I'm thankful that we got most of our items and they weren't damaged, our expensive armoire with a mirror and other antique pieces that arrived were not damaged but my husband wrapped everything himself!
We are missing a kitchen box of pots and pans and I'm missing a box of clothing. We had 417 boxes that we're supposed to be numbered and tagged but when they delivered their numbering system was all messed up! My husband could not reconcile any of the boxes based on their numbering system. Who knows if anything else is missing like holiday stuff, I guess we'll know when that holiday rolls around.
We faired pretty well considering other people's reviews but it's not worth the anxiety. We ended up with someone's stand alone air conditioning unit, we have one too but this one is not ours! Their system for tagging your belongings is inept but they don't care, try to file a claim for damage or missing boxes there's no recourse.
I totally think this company is shady and the fact you have to pay $5,000 in a postal money order upon delivery before they unload any of your shit screams fraud or money laundering! Run don't walk away from this nightmare.

The most fraudulent and inept moving company I've ever used. I've used 7. Deceptive salesmen, unresponsive and careless. 3/4 of my furniture showed up broken. Broke and damaged items in front of me while moving out and in. Damaged floors, walls and doors. STAY AWAY. Gave them the opportunity to make things right, which they agreed to do and backed out.
The manager Mike is a complete weasel and fraud. Refused to reply to BBB complaint. I am out thousands of dollars. Do not make the same mistake. They don't deserve a 1 star rating.
