This is the best storage place around. Friendly staff. Sheri is the best, top-notch. I've used this storage for 17 years total time. Clean, professional, well kept. I can't begin to think of another place to use for storage.

This place is the absolute best. Sherry and her team go above and beyond for you. They made moving from the East Coast to the West Coast a breeze. They allowed me to send my stuff there and they moved it into my storage unit at no extra cost! This is not something they normally offer, but I was in a real jam and they helped me out. I wanted to send a few small items via UPS and as long as they weighed less than 25 pounds they took them.

They allowed me to sign all my papers online and I was also able to checkout using a mover as long as they attested the unit was empty. Their customer service is amazing, all the women that work there take their time explaining everything to you. Nothing seems to be a bother. They are such lovely people, I'd definitely recommend them.

I've been renting a unit here for a couple years now. This is one of the cleanest storage places I've ever been to or rented from. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I've been in and out of the facility dozens of times and I have not had one single negative experience with staff.

Completely safe storage facility family run they're very good at what they do they can guarantee that your stuff we'll be safe in their facility.

It's the location, huge homeless population surrounding this location. Cautious I would be, good luck!

I've been renting a unit here since June and it's been great! No issues, great friendly staff, and easy communication. My stuff did collect dust, but I was warned beforehand about the location of my unit and the proximity of the entrance. All of my stuff was protected in plastic so I don't mind a little dust. Overall would definitely recommend!

Best self-Storage in Oakland. A little pricier than other places, but well worth it for the longer hours, sweet staff, and availability of carts for convenient loading and unloading from the parking bay. They were also immediately responsive with COVID-19 precautions, initially only letting one customer into the facility at a time (though they have now returned to more regular operations on that front).

I love the fact that the units are stored on the inside of the building for which is more safe and clean for me.

A year ago, my wife and I decided to pack up the family and move to Portugal. We sold almost everything, but kept a 5 x 7 locker of personal items, books, wall decorations, rugs, etc. to deal with at a later date. A year later, I'm back to pack and ship, and it has been challenging to say the least. From day one though, HSBSS has been courteous, professional, and super helpful.

The facility is spotlessly clean, well lit, and has a great selection of packing materials if you need anything. Easy to pay rent online from anywhere via their website. I've used storage places for years and these guys do it right.

I like how the pricing is structured and easy to understand. Sherry and Anne (or Annie) are great. Unfortunately it also depends on your luck who you deal with. Kim is unbelievably unhelpful, however. So you will want to visit when it's not her shift. There are things that she can help us out without moving her finger but she will just push it away by saying ' we can't handle additional liability.

This place is such a awesome storage place to use. I stored my things here in May of 2017 and I am now getting ready to take my things out, this Saturday 5/19, after using their services for 2 years. They are the best Storage place that I have EVER used. Since moving to California from Oklahoma back in the late 80's. I have used 2 other storage places in San Jose and San Francisco but High Street is the BEST!. My things were safe and secure and the staff is awesome and very professional. If ever I need to store again, I will definitely use High Street Bridge!

MULTIPLE break-ins to my unit. No record despite having video cameras. They were friendly and highly recommended by a company that was excellent to work with (and also highly recommended) when I moved in. Tremendously disappointing. Edit after the below reply: Also when I reported the fourth(?) or so break-in I was told that someone from corporate would contact me directly, and instead only received the below online denial. Further, at one point they said they could provide me with a record of all the times my unit had been accessed within the past week or so by the end of the day, then rescinded, pushed the length of time back, and rather than giving me a record of the times it had been accessed (per their security/alarm system), provided me with video records.

It seems highly plausible to me they could have been covering up other times the unit had been opened and only informing me of the ones that were actually me/that they had video evidence of. Items stolen, pages torn out of a book.

Decent storage facility right off the 880 at the High Street exit. They've got good rates, are very friendly and they have both the indoor storage units (not 24-hr access) as well as the outdoor ones which are 24 hour access.

I've rented here for a long time. The staff is wonderful.the place is clean, they give you water, popcorn, and candy. Pay your rent. You will have no problems.

I am just so impressed by the quality of service, space, safety, cleanliness and ease working with this company. I stored my stuff for almost a year. Had to come in and out several times. Super kind staff and professional. At one point, I lost my key (because my keys and wallet were stolen in another part of Oakland). They broke the lock for no charge within 15 minutes of the request. I will definitely use this service if I am ever in need of a storage again. Thank you guys!

I picked High Street in 2013 because of the features and good yelp reviews, and they lived up to the reviews. The staff are great, the setup is top quality and it is not creepy, unlike their competitors. I picked High Street over 3 closer places, just because I knew I'd always feel comfortable going there. I'll pick them again if I ever need East Bay storage.

Customer service rocks! I believe they also have fairly competitive pricing. Much like the other reviewers, I feel like High Street storage is a safe place to keep my stuff.

My favorite part of moving was getting to store our stuff at this place. The amazing, friendly staff made the whole process so easy. They gave us a very sweet welcome gift. The prices are extremely reasonable. There was always good parking, always carts in good condition. The whole place is always clean and fresh. Even the music they play there is relaxing. They're system for getting in and out of your unit is simple. The elevators are fast. Lots of light in the building. You get a free lock! Oh! And free popcorn!

This is a great storage place! Thanks to reading our friend's review of this place when we were in shopping around for a unit space, we knew that it was going to be a wise choice. The staff here is wonderful and they always treat you with professional courtesy. The rates are reasonable and the prices for their storage boxes are fairly affordable.

They have tons of units and plenty of rolling carts to haul your precious valuables for safe-keeping. The free popcorn, water, and candy from the candy bowl on the counter in the office are added bonuses. The restroom is clean as is the place itself.

Never thought I'd have a strong opinion on a storage facility but I love this place. My husband and I moved from the east coast and wanted to take our time with the drive to visit friends and places along the way. Having a trailer or truck would've made us targets, cost a lot, and slow us down. We were able to ship several boxes here as long as they weighed under 25 pounds.

This way we didn't have to arrange for picking up and delivering to the space, etc. It was super-convenient and took a lot of stress out of the logistics of such a big move. The people were so friendly when we arrived. They wouldn't even accept a tip for taking 20-30 boxes to our space over three weeks. I feel like our stuff is very safe as each is locked and alarmed. It's so clean! Highly recommend!

This storage facility was voted #1 in the East Bay! OR was it the Bay Area? And by whom? I forget, but if you go there, they will have signs that say so, and they will tell you the same, too. It is hard to get in and out of this place, because it is right near the High Street Bridge entry into Alameda, so there is traffic and you have to see the little turn into the place.

There are conveniently 2 or 3 parking spaces where you can pull into the warehouse, so if it is raining, you won;t have to move stuff in and out of the rain. But the spaces are very tight. They have an access code by the office you have to code in your code. The storage spaces are all indoors, and it is environmentally controlled, I think. They have also named the maze of hallways of the storage area after the city streets just outside, so it is easy to remember where your unit is located.

They have a couple of dollys/hand carts for you to borrow. Also, near the office and where you can purchase box supplies, there is a little Popcorn Machine Cart. So you can eat Popcorn while you are toiling away storing and un-storing. And since the halls are named, you don't need to use the popcorn as a trail marker to find your way out, like Hansel and Gretel did.

My only complaint is their billing, otherwise a well protected storage facility that is clean and well managed. Excessive charges ($45 on a 172/month storage payment) for late payments and their online billing is sloppy which led to late payment.

High Street Bridge Self-Storage is, by far, the best storage facility in the Bay Area. As a local, professional, furniture mover (15 yrs in the biz), I know. ACCESSABILITY: 2 blocks from 880 High St. exit. Many options for car and truck parking on facility. Large elevator with 4-minute (renewable) door hold button. Many carts available for customer use. SECURITY: Keypad for gate. Alarm codes and locks for Individual units. Cameras throughout facility.

Core staff has worked there at least 5 yrs and has integrity. CLEANLINESS: Constant, visible, maintenance. COST: Midrange. Well worth it, and opportunities for discounts. Best prices on packing materials in town (and good variety). HOSPITALITY: Warm, responsive and efficient. Good folks!
