We helped our elderly mother move from a flat to a retirement home in Basel. The men who came from Man with a Van could not have been more helpful. They were fast, efficient and reasonably priced. We can recommend their service without hesitation!

Man with a van provide excellent services. We hired them for moving and cleaning and were completely satisfied with their services. Hamdy was personally present during both the tasks and that made it a lot easier for us. Hamdy is a warm and friendly person who made the move fun even for our four-year-old son! Hamdy was very kind in helping us throw away some of our old furniture and bring in some new ones on the moving day.

The work turned out to be more than either party had first anticipated but Hamdy took that on cheerfully and we ourselves offered to pay him more than we had agreed upon. We will certainly use the services by Man with a Van again and highly recommend them for both moving and cleaning services.

I needed to move out of a furnished place last month, and initially reached out to some small movers with more reviews on Yelp. Many of them tried to nickel-and-dime me - one company wouldn't even tell me my moving time until the night before my move date unless I paid extra :-/ I'm so glad I found Man with a Van! Right off the bat, Keith responded to my quote request with a defined time slot and very fair, very straightforward pricing.

He kept in touch throughout the lead-up to my move to hash out specifics and describe his steps for mitigating COVID risk. The actual move was seamless. Keith had everything in my new place an hour earlier than expected, all while being friendly and incredibly diligent about mask wearing, hand sanitizing, and ventilation. I have already recommended Man with a Van to a few friends planning small moves. Moving, especially right now, should be as safe and economical and low-stress as possible, and Keith and co. did a terrific job making it that way for me.

I was forced to make a last-minute move request due to the incompetence of Uhaul. But Keith and Man with a Van were very accommodating and tried their best to squeeze me into a workable timeslot. Even then they didn't give me any pressure to make the decision. The move turned out to be highly efficient even with one mover and the rate was definitely reasonable.

Another thing worth noting is that they are very well aware of the current pandemic situation and follow the best possible safety measures, which is so rare among similar businesses. Therefore, for small moves in which your stuffs can fit in a van, I believe this is simply the best option out there.

After checking several moving companies to move a few items I went with Man with a Van. Our move was basically a dining room, living room on first floor and a refrigerator going into a basement. Communication was very good prior to appointment, Day of move they called about 15-20 minutes before their arrival to say they were on the way. Move was smooth, efficient and professional.

They were finished about 15 minutes prior to their up front estimate of time it would take for the move. I would use them again for a small move like a studio or 1 bedroom. I am not sure they could move a whole house with the van.

Could give 100*. On the busiest moving day of the year -- precise time booking, excellent communications all the way, considerate, caring, super reliable service. Keith and his crew are amazing. Very reasonably priced. Will hire always.

A real Boston treasure for small moves. Just used Keith and crew today to move my daughter from Brighton to Chestnut Hill. What a great experience! Excellent communication, super easy to make the arrangements and just a small deposit was needed. Everything was as promised. If your stuff will fit in a 9' van, this is the company to call!

Needed "small" movers for just one piece of furniture- the world's heaviest vintage sleeper sofa. I gave them an impossible task- take the behemoth couch down three flights of stairs in the first house, then up a flight of stairs through a tiny doorframe into my new place. The guys did not give up, eventually disassembling the couch and bringing it up piece by piece.

They later came back to help reassemble. My review: perseverance and smart strength! Would definitely recommend, and if I ever move again, I'll be calling them for the Dream Couch Saga Part II.

Our two movers (one who was the company owner) were professional, hard-working, efficient, transparent about pricing, and fair. Would definitely use again and recommend!

I will use these guys every time i move. they helped me move back in april and made my life sooo much easier. i had to move unexpectedly during one of the most stressful and difficult times of my life and i was dreading the move. luckily, keith & co made the move as easy as possible and they were genuinely nice guys. they helped me disassemble and reassemble my ikea bed and even helped me put the big furniture exactly where i wanted it. i highly recommend these guys, especially if you live in a small apartment and don't have a lot of stuff. you can really save money!

I meant to write this a LONG time ago. Man w/ a van was fantastic. They squeezed me in last minute on September 1, the worst day of the year for moving. Highly recommend!

EASIEST MOVE EVER and on the dreaded Sept 1st too! I was moving across Cambridge out of a shared 2 bedroom into a one bedroom with a couple large pieces of furniture (bed, bed-frame, tv, table, couch, chair etc.) as well as a high-maintenance-level amount of clothes and other misc things. I was a little worried not everything would fit in their van, but these guys must play tetris because somehow they fit it all in there.

Though I did have everything packed neatly in boxes before they came, I was shocked that the entire move, from the time they called me to tell me they had arrived (exactly on time) to leaving my new place after having reassembled my bed & furniture took only one hour and a half. 90 minutes! Those three guys they sent were zippin' around- that's less time than it takes to watch two episodes of Top Chef. Dudes, save your friends and yourself a day of sweating and complaining and fork over some money to relieve some stress. It's well worth it.

This was the only time I didn't use a Moving AND Storage company and didn't have 20+ boxes. A rather small move, but moving is never an easy job. For the date I moved (Sep 2, among the peak days for sure), they quoted a reasonable price compared to most other companies and gave me a pretty nice slot. Keith and Shelley (pardon me if I misspelled the names) showed up on time, finished the job in an hour, and were very professional and friendly.

Smooth move without a hitch. I would highly recommend them for anyone moving from/to a studio/1BR/2BR. That's that.did I leave out anything? Oh I forgot to tell Keith he probably had the coolest pair of Ray Ban shades. Did I mention these guys were enthusiastic musicians too? You might run into them at the Middle East Club in Central Square from time to time!

After an unfortunate moving incident, Man With a Van was kind enough to repair the damages to my furniture and apartment. Keith, Sam and the team helped repair my old place and my old roommates and landlady are now content. Again, thank you to Man With a Van for being considerate after this mishap. Mistakes can happen with a move, and your committment to customer service really helped make it easier :- Upgrade to 4 stars -- thanks for the peace of mind.

I love Man with a Van! I've used them twice now for my moving needs in Boston. It's just a couple of nice guys (I think the guy who helped me was the owner) who own a van and are willing to drag your furniture across the city. They are super nice (sent me an Xmas card one year!), as well as fast and efficient. They moved everything out of a storage unit in Malden to a studio apt on the 4th floor (with a crappy elevator) in Boston in under two hours! Also, prices are awesome, especially when you consider rates of other moving companies.

Book early during peak season (usually September and May/June when the kids are coming in/out of college). I recommend Man with a Van to all my friends who have to move. I wish there was a Man with a Van in OC!

I may look like a scrawny weakling, but really I'm a power horse. I don't need no men to help me move. Haha, okay fine. I really do because I'm lazy. But it's not because I'm not strong! (Can you tell I have a beanpole complex?) Anyhow, I got not just a MAN but MEN with a van, TWO. They were communicative, early (!) and uncomplaining.

Even when the boxes in my basement had molded and bottomed out. Plus we had two stops and still managed to move my office in an hour and a half. Maximum efficiency, I'm all about it.

They started as just a couple of guys with a van, but they've grown so they have a fleet of different sized vehicles, and several men. Pros: They were great at communicating with me both before and during the move. They were prompt, quick, easy to work with, and clearly knew what they were doing. I was moving a mostly-furnished two bedroom apartment, and they got everything done in one load, in less than 3 hours with 2 guys.

Everything was moved safely and cleanly. They even assembled the bed frames for me. Tips are appreciated but not expected. Cons: Even though I described in great detail how much stuff I had, they underestimated the van space they would need. They just so happened to have a bigger van that day so it worked out well, but they ended up charging me more than they had quoted.

Other notes: I wish I had bottled water and gatorade for them, but it didn't occur to me beforehand. It's worth it to get the mattress bags ($5 each, they provide them.they're literally just giant plastic bags but keep your mattresses clean). Their website gives good tips on how to prepare for a smooth move (and has some disaster stories). Overall, two thumbs up. MWAV did in a couple of hours what would have taken me a couple of days. It's worth it to pay for that much less stress and sweat!
