We recently had the awesome experience of a local move with Cooper Moving! They are the same company dedicated to excellence they were when they moved us 20 years ago! We felt fortunate to have the team of Jordan, Drew, Aaron and Gio on our moving day. They did not leave a scratch on any furniture or anything else at either home. They worked hard and non-stop. We highly recommend Cooper Moving!

Moved end of September 2020 Best movers ever and we have moved 8 out of state moves before this one. David, Alec and Luis were professional, respectful, polite, fast and carefully handled our goods. The office staff were responsive and always helpful and kept us informed of any info we needed to know. The team came on time, worked hard to complete the job in record time and delivered our goods on time in great condition. We could not have asked for a better move. Highly recommend this mover. Would only use them if we needed to move again!

Rob Sangster Cooper & Cooper Moving and Storage makes the moving experience as good as it can be. The fact that we have trusted C & C to move our household three times-and provide clean, secure storage space for twenty years-speaks for itself. But I can be more specific. VALUE: Prices are very fair with no surprise charges. PEOPLE: Each team has been knowledgeable, fast, courteous, can-do attitudes, and worked non-stop as a team. PROFESSIONALISM: The team arrives on time, moves belongings without damage, and places items carefully. In our experience, Cooper & Cooper always delivers more than promised. They have earned our strongest recommendation.

Total professionals from the top down. We had a complicated two location move. Cooper coordinated and executed it flawless. The crews were friendly and efficient. They were eager to make sure all aspects of the move were completed and that we were satisfied with their work. I highly recommend the group. I used this company a while back and had them put my stuff in storage. I had a five bedroom house and granted a lot of stuff. As the day went on the lead mover became more and more irate and was mean / unprofessional to the newer team member. He even yelled at him after he complained about something heavy landing on his foot. I really felt bad for the new guy.
Then he complained about the truck ramp being slippery and causing delays, and called management and very loudly voiced his displeasure. And then, the truck broke down on the way to my storage unit. I assured the supervisor that there would be no problem with taking my stuff to storage a few days late, so they could get their truck fixed. etc. He proceeded to tell me they would take an hour or two off my bill, which still ended up costing me $2,000.00.
Two days later they moved my stuff to another truck and then to my storage unit. Now, as I begin yet another move, I see how they just piled very heavy boxes on top of of fragile boxes and they all fell over in my storage unit. They could have cared less if my things were broken. I still haven't seen the rest of my stuff yet as I have just started moving and cringe to think of everything that is beat all to hell and broken. This makes the second mover I have used within the last 9 years that have been NIGHTMARES!

I highly recommend Cooper Moving and Storage. We were having new flooring put down in our house and needed all of the furniture moved out. Jay Cooper, the owner, came out and did an assessment of what needed to be done. He was very professional yet personable and gave us a very fair quote. His team of movers, Andrew, Alec, Bailey, Nathan, Will, and Gus, were also professional, yet personable.
They treated our belongings like they were their own and us like we were family. They also moved some things from one room to an unaffected room with no hesitation. Everything went so smoothly. We are so grateful to the Cooper Moving family for making this experience so wonderful.

I would not use this company. I have had my belongings in storage for almost 2 years, while my house was being renovated. When I went to retrieve my things, I was told they were moved or sold. Then was told my things were not salvageable and that insurance payed me for my things in storage. It makes no sense. My insurance would have not communicated with Cooper Moving and why would things be stored unnecessarily?
Then both John, the manager, and another male representative stated that it was because there was no payment. My insurance was covering the service and explained that an invoice was needed from them. I was then told that an invoice is not generated until after the service is complete. Then suddenly, they found my belongings yet could not provide a list of my things.
They also had no notes on my account and would not let me view my account because it was somehow in someone else's name. I spoke several times, with John the manager. I provided my email address and asked for an invoice and itemized list to be sent to me for review. It has been around a month now and I have not received an email nor have mine or my wife's calls been returned. Unfortunately, we are stuck now replacing and refurnishing our house because we cannot access our things.
The last time I posted John mentioned suing my for libel because I was telling my story. He also said he was charging my $500 a month for a 10x10 storage unit. How can I still be charged if my stuff is not there or is my stuff there? If it is there why is there no itemized list? I have received no notices or official communications regarding my things. I am sure nothing will get this issue resolved but I still wanted to share my story.

Our family hired them for a 900 mile move. The price stayed the same. Their service was on time and as promised. Highly recommend due to the personal touch. You hire them- only your stuff is on the truck. Your move is not part of a larger delivery schedule like larger movers. They provided lots of boxes for pre-packing. When they encountered traffic delays on Interstate 81, the driver called to apologize and explain, even though delays on that interstate are common. Extras like labeling boxes they packed, setting the beds up, and placing overflow in a nearby storage facility.

After using a different company about 5 years ago with horrible customer service and multiply hidden fees, I am so glad I found Cooper & Cooper Moving! Straight forward pricing, no extra fees. We have used this company twice now and I will continue to highly recommend them (Hopefully I won't have to move any time soon!). GREAT customer service with fast, efficient, and thoughtful crews.
If you call around, their hourly fee is a bit more, but I can say from my experiences moving, you get what you pay for. The crew had a heck of a time getting one of our couches to an upstairs room and did do some damage to our walls and ceiling. The crew was very apologetic and said the company would send someone to fix it. I called, and within two days, the painter was out fixing it.
It looks better than it did when the builder finished it! The painter was very professional and accommodating. He was able to come later in the day so I did not have to miss work for him to fix it. I wish I could give this company 10 stars!

These guys were great, polite, hard-working, and fast. Also, they were able to schedule me at the last minute. I highly recommend this company and especially Chandler, Austin and Jake. They were very helpful and did everything we asked them to do. If I move again I won't call anyone but them. I gave them a generous tip which they said was not expected. (We used 2 men and a truck previously and were not impressed, in fact, that was why I did not call them for this move. They even asked for a tip, so I gave them half the amount I planned to give them.)

Do NOT use Cooper! They damaged a $3k refrigerator beyond repair, the workers denied it, I cancelled payment, owner threatened to sue me, harassing me via text messages and owner refused to come visually assess the damages. I haven't heard from them since my lawyer wrote a letter addressing their responsibility outlined within their own contract I signed.

I have used Cooper Moving twice and will use them every time I move if possible. They made moving painless! I prepacked all of my belongings and had it set up for them to grab, They moved all of my heavy furniture and took extra care each time. No damaged furniture or dishes. They took extra care with my grandmothers old oak dining table and covered it with a blanket and secured it so it wouldn't get scuffed. LOVE these guys. Highly recommend.

Don't use the company unless you are okay with damaged and stolen furniture. The company does not keep track of the people it utilizes to move your belongings. Our insurance company coordinated with cooper moving and they packed our belongings. The owner did not seem surprised when we claimed a thousand dollars worth of stolen and damaged items.
Then the company proceeded the state that the items that I had purchased were used even though they had been lightly used and were obviously damaged while being stored temporarily.

I was very pleased overall with Cooper Moving. They moved us from Memphis to Austin. The process was seamless: pack, load, store for two months, deliver on request. The price was around $12,000. This was probably comparable to Two Men and a Truck, but I liked the set fee. Also, they damaged several nice pieces of furniture, but paid for all repairs without any hassle. I do recommend that you ask them to wrap any nice pieces in plastic wrap. I would recommend them.

I never actually used Cooper Moving for a move, but when I called for a quote they had all sorts of hidden fees. Instead of the hourly rate and 1 hour service fee (with NO additional charges as the website promises), they quoted me $100/hr, $150 overtime rate for a Saturday move (which they were eventually willing to waive. but whoever heard of a crazy fee for moving on the weekend?!), and a $250 service charge because I was moving from Midtown to just outside of Collierville (they said the hefty charge was due to the distance, but they still wanted to charge me the $100 hour while we were in route).
I asked to speak to the manager, and was told he'd call me back. Then about five minutes later the lady I originally spoke with called me back to state that she had talked to the manager and he was unwilling to honor the website, and would not be calling me back. I was incredibly frustrated with the whole process of even talking to this company, as they didn't seem to know their policies or care about customer service. I will not use them in the future.

I used Cooper moving to load my things from a storage unit onto a rental truck for an 800 mile trip. The movers broke a light in the ceiling at the storage unit. They said nothing to me about it. I was not around for the majority of the loading but I happened to be there when they broke the light. I waited for them to say something about it, but they didn't.
I then asked if they were going to talk to the storage manager about it. They said that they would. Later I was talking with the storage manager about closing my account when the movers walked up to tell me they were finished. They had an opportunity to tell the manager about breaking the light, but they didn't. I tipped both movers very well and then asked them again if they were going to talk to the manager about breaking the light.
They said they would stop at the office. I then watched them drive out the gate and down the road. Like I mentioned early, I wasn't around during the majority of the loading. In the short time that I was there, I saw them place two of my very heavy bedposts in the middle of the truck like bowling pins with absolutely nothing to secure them. After watching them place other items in front of them, I asked if they were going to secure them.
They then climbed back and secured the posts. When I got to my destination, I discovered that they had not secured the other two bedposts which had already been placed on the truck out of my view. They obviously got banged up and damaged other items. I contacted the owner John about my experience. He apologized about the movers not taking responsibility for the broken light, and said that I would be compensated for the damaged items.
He gave me his personal email and told me to send him a written statement about the complaint. I have written John twice and called to verify the email. One month later, still no response. Now you know the story. You are taking a risk if you use this company. You shouldn't have to babysit and tell the movers how to properly do their job, but with Cooper Moving Company, you will have to do just that. Don't expect the management to follow through with any promises. The employees at Cooper Moving have absolutely no integrity. Good luck with your move.

Needing a mover in September I asked friends who moved in the spring/summer for referrals and consulted Yelp. I called the top three movers, including one I used in the past, for quotes. I chose Cooper & Cooper despite them being the most expensive because of their customer service and flexibility. They were also accommodating when I called two weeks before my scheduled move to change the date. Swell, I thought.
Great team. Wow. I was already penning my 5 star Yelp review in my head. When I called the afternoon before my move (wondering why they hadn't called me) to confirm the date/time I learned the person with whom I spoke messed up and scheduled it for 10 days later not the 2 days that I asked. Heart-in-throat moment averted when I was told the date/time was corrected and the person on the line, the manager, was very sorry for the mix up. Moving is enough to cause anxiety as it's a literal uprooting of your life that even small blips cause hand wringing stress. Swell, I thought.
Great team. Wow. Still penning my positive review in my head. My reason for the 2 star review came the morning of my move when I was looking over the initial paperwork the head mover handed me to find a different rate than was quoted (and confirmed during another call later the same day). When I called to voice my confusion and alarm I was basically told I was a liar but if I just wanted a discount to come out and say it.
When I told him I didn't 'want a discount' just the rate I was quoted a variation of the above was repeated which I repeated myself. Back-and-forth a couple of times. Look, says I, if someone made a mistake in your office it's a mistake. Let's chalk this up to a training exercise and move forward. Again, I was a liar because the newest person in the office had been there 5 years and these were the rates for the past blah-blah years.like that absolves someone of error. Back-and-forth with *that* a couple of times.
At this point I told him I was continuing with the move but I would be calling back after the move to resolve this. Here's the punch line: I made a $400 (in their favor) math error which the woman making the initial quote did not catch even when I verbally did the math and asked for confirmation in the second call! These fuck wads were soooo sure I was some cheap hustler they didn't even check the figures in dispute. Insert sarcastic tone: Greaaat customer service!

Just used them to come load my daughter's condo into a Pod & couldn't be more pleased. They worked quickly, were very good with fragile items & packed the Pod as you would expect from a top flight mover. In addition their telephone customer service line was polite, courteous & very helpful. Well you can probably guess that I like them & would recommend them as we'll.
