We had a great experience with Sparks moving. We switched our rooms upstairs and hired them to do the heavy stuff. From the time i called and arranged a day to the end of job. We have nothing but positive things to say. The gentleman were very careful and very attentive to where i wanted them to put it. We will definitely use them again and we hiighly recommend them. Where the negative reviews came from is beyond me

I can't say enough how happy I am with their service! They were recommended to me for a small moving job (washer from garage to basement) by another moving company that couldn't do the job. They were prompt, professional and did little extras for my friend who needed the washer hooked up. Knew exactly what needed to be done after we struggled for 2 days trying to get this monster washer into the basement and we couldn't do it ourselves. I will be putting them on my list of go to services! Thanks Rob!

I had to request a last minute appointment for a refrigerator to be moved from an outside garage into the house. They were able to fit me in and the movers were professional and friendly, despite the issues that my porch/front door presented. They did a wonderful job. I would 100% recommend this moving company.

First let me say I have use them myself and my daughter and I have referred them another three or four times maybe. Each time was great. This move, not sure what went wrong except maybe they were told to milk the time because this was the best only move they had today. The guys were nice enough but I could tell when they arrived that they were slow.
They moved one bedroom, living room, dinette set and some boxes. The move was from one building to another in the same complex, so there was no travel time. This move took 6 hours. No way this should have taken 6 hours. Called the owner but no return call. Needless to say I Will never use them again

I've used them several times throughout the past twenty five years and they were consistently great each time. The prices were affordable and the guys were very compassionate and helpful - always with a great attitude. It helos that this a family owned business that the quality is so good. I know of an apartment complex that also highly recommends then but I would not recommend that complex so I will not mention them.

Would not recommend. Damaged a new dining room table and although it was repaired well, it took almost 3 weeks. Scratched, nicked, dented, marked, got dirty and chipped 80% of my, in very good shape, furniture and appliances - a lot of white marks from the sides of their van. Charged me for more time than they spent, which although awkward I asked about, and they corrected only part of it.

It was absolutely the best experience with Sparks Moving, especially for a last minute request for the next morning. They were prompt, on-time, and Myron & Chris were the movers and accommodated a move with 2 really heavy pieces with glass/mirrors and it was perfect. They aren't a huge company which means they don't have big turnover, so the movers are really experienced. My experience was great.

Over the years I have used Sparks for 3 different moves and was very satisfied. This 4th time using their services will be my last. They moved out and stored my furniture for a few months. When it was returned 2 pieces of furniture were badly damaged. I contacted the owner and he said that he would have them repaired. The repair of my dining room table caused more damage.
I contacted the owner to let him know that they were not repaired to my satisfaction and he immediately got very rude and raised his voice to me. He wouldn't let me finish a sentence, talking loudly over me. He finally said he would have to look into it and call me back. He never called me back and has not returned any of my calls. Even if he disagrees with me, it is not professional to follow up with a customer. The entire experience was unpleasant and I will never use them again.

Fantastic company I called on a Tuesday and they moved me on Thursday. They were there at 8am like promised. I want to give a special thanks to Myron, Terrance and Lil John these 3 were great, they made the move go so smooth. They took care of my items loading and unloading. I will definitely use then again.

I recently hired Sparks Moving for their local moving services to my new home and I couldn't be more satisfied! This is the 3rd time I have hired them - once in 2014, once in 2016, and recently. Each time has been a pleasant experience and transparent from the first phone call until the job was completed. Of these 3 moves, they have helped me with a 1 bedroom apartment all the way up to a 3000+ sq ft home, all quickly and efficiently.
Because it is most fresh in my mind, I'll share my most recent experience here. When I first called for a quote, I spoke with Myron who was upfront, asked a few questions to determine how many men would be most efficient for my move, and provided an hourly rate for both weekdays and weekends. No need to provide him a huge complete inventory listing of everything in my home or a virtual walk thru of my home like other companies require prior to providing a price.
This was huge for me - as a busy mom juggling a move for my family, I just don't have the time to video chat for an hour or make a list of every box I need to move in order to get a quote. So - I hired Sparks soon after that phone call - Myron explained that they would call the day before to confirm and already told me what time they would arrive on moving day.
The day before our moving day, we had a minor crisis with our new home that required us to postpone moving by 1 week - of course this happened a Sunday when Sparks was closed and I was on their schedule for 7:45am Monday morning! I panicked, leaving them a voicemail and sending an email in hopes they would check their messages before sending the guys out early Monday morning as I had already confirmed with Rob the owner on Saturday.
No problem here! In fact Monday morning I spoke with Rob, the owner himself about what happened. He easily rescheduled me and did not give me a hassle or charge me a cancel fee! On our actual moving day, the men showed up, 15 min early and got right to work. They took a tour of our home and everything they would be moving and quickly loaded he truck.
They did not take breaks, check phones, but worked quickly and efficiently. They even removed an interior door themselves in order to get larger things thru. When we got to the new house, same thing - quick and efficient. There is zero damage to my family's belongings, and everything arrived in tact. These guys were friendly the entire time, spoke professionally, like friends to each other, and did a great job! We couldn't be more pleased with their service!

Do not hire Sparks if you want to keep all of your furniture intact! My company paid for my move from Cleveland and the moving company that was recommended to me (Arpin) sub-contracted Sparks to pack my furniture and belongings. The one positive thing I will say is that they arrived on time in the morning. The nitty-gritty details: When they packed my bathroom supplies, they put the toilet plunger and toilet brush in the same box as my electric toothbrush (ewww, who would do that?!?).
When they packed my furniture, they did not put any protective padding around it. Some of the items (such as my coffee table) ended up being damaged beyond repair and others (such as my tan colored couch) had shoe prints on the fabric. When they moved my mattress, they did not put a box or any protection around it "because a pillow top mattress is too thick for their box", which is total rubbish.
I told Sparks my concern at the time, and they were completely dismissive of me. One of the employees even had the nerve to say, "ok, well do you have something we can cover it up with?". Uhh, I might have had something if all of my things had not been packed at that point! I was furious that they set my mattress on the ground without any concern for how dirty it would get.
It was only after I called Arpin immediately afterwards and voiced my concern that they put shrink wrap around it in their warehouse. Even Arpin commented that Sparks should have put more protective padding around my furniture since that is the standard for what moving companies do. After Sparks packed up my stuff, they brought it to their warehouse, where the moving company came to pick it up.
The concerning thing about this is that the moving company later reported to me that if I had only seen what the Sparks warehouse looked like, it was absolutely filthy. It is appalling that this company is so disrespectful that they can't even bother to clean their warehouse where they are storing delicate furniture. Oh also, after everything was all unpacked in my new place, I unfortunately realized that my favorite painting was missing! I hate moving and think moving companies are grimy. This moving experience only confirms my suspicions and concerns about moving companies.

I gave them 1 star because no stars isn't a thing. Moved at least half a dozen times (military). Sparks is by far the worse moving company I have ever dealt with. They didn't take care of my belongings, acted annoyed when asked to wrap things like glass, mirrors or pictures. When my furniture was returned to me some of it had boot prints on it.
They packed things I asked them not too (food and trash) and didn't pack things I asked them too. Took an EXTREMELY long time to load the truck. Basically if you want a company who will treat you house hold items like garbage, get annoyed when you ask them to do their job and take longer then average to do it Sparks moving is the place for you

DO NOT USE! DO NOT USE! DO NOT USE! DO NOT USE! DO NOT USE! If this place could set the bar for worst service, I'd happily give "Negative Stars"! There in-home estimate is a scam for the employees to "recon" your belongings for items of value so you can be targeted for theft. My household goods were stored here in May 2015. An employee pilfered the goods, stealing thousands of dollars worth of items.
Some of what was stolen included medication, jewelry, collectibles, etc. Additionally, much of what was stored was delivered to us damaged, waterlogged, stained, or worse. The owner took zero responsibility for the issue and threatened to call the police on me for harassment if I didn't stop bothering him for a reasonable settlement. In fact, he wouldn't give the name of the employee responsible for the theft. So far my insurance company hasn't paid, but that will (hopefully) be changing soon. Stay away.far far away from this company and the thieves running the organization.

I've used Sparks Movers numerous times over the years. Moved my office twice, moved my mother 3 times. Their pricing is reasonable, scheduling has always been easy, and there were no hassles if changes were needed. Not only did the moves go smoothly, but the individuals were all professional, careful, friendly and cooperative. They showed up right on time, each time.and worked efficiently without rushing.
On many occasions the same men have helped each time. I actually feel like I know them personally. This week Tory and Josh helped us. They did an excellent job, as usual. I would highly recommend Sparks to anyone in need of a moving company.

I would never use them again for the following reasons 1) the lowballed the estimate by over 1k. The price of the move was probably fair, but I was shocked at how far off their estimate was. 2) they did some minor damage to our stuff. They offered to come take a look at it, and resolve our issues, but after looking, only fixed some of the issues. They also were very reluctant to fix stuff, as if they were doing me some sort OT big favor. 3) after they came to visit, without fixing all of the issues, they stopped communicating with us entirely. Still probably have a few hundred dollars worth of damage they decided to ignore.

I had a great experience with Sparks. The movers were nice and professional, took great care of my furniture and belongings to travel several states in a pod. They expressed a lot of care in packing safely and efficiently (necessary for a small amount of packing space) and did a fantastic job! If I were staying in the Cleveland area, I would definitely use them again.

$1600 to move my parents just 2 cities over. They didn't even finish moving all of their things and didn't have their own dolly. In the process of moving their fridge they ruined the floor in the foyer and I doubt my parents will get their deposit back because of it. I watched them drag my mothers expensive nightstands across the concrete and be rather careless with their belongings. They also were extremely slow and on their phones texting most of the time. Extremely disappointed and I will never recommend them.

UPDATE - Sparks sent a crew out to finish my move. They were friendly and worked well with my wife, offering to go above and beyond to finish the job. They even brought the refrigerator back to my old house after moving the rest of my stuff to our new house. That saved me a lot of headache. I just wish they were able to get this done that day or quicker than 2 months later! Thanks for coming back to finish the job. -Nick

I had used them in the past, many years ago, and had a positive experience. Today Donnie, Lee, Bernard and Omar brought 2 trucks to move us out of Shaker and South Euclid, and into our new home. Shaker was a huge challenge yet, they all only seemed concerned with doing a good job for us. They showed up early, worked very very hard, and were outstanding! My fiance and I could not be any happier with our move! Thank you very much from Brad and Susan!

I used Sparks twice in one month's time. You would think some sort of discount might apply for that, but that is not my point in sharing this. They were very inconsistent with their "travel time" on the last run and completely overcharged us. When I called to discuss this with the owner, Rich, he was completely unprofessional and began to tell me irrelevant stories about his own personal money woes.
He kept trying to change the subject and would not take accountability or provide a rational explanation. The employees did an okay job, but after they were done they seemed to make themselves at home, asked for some coffee and found their way to our Styrofoam cups they "noticed" we had in the basement. They even asked for cream and sugar for their coffee - I am sorry, I am usually very hospitable, but when we are moving and paying by the hour, it is not a good time to ask us to serve you.
That is why we tip them, so they can go buy their own food and drink. Overall, the owner is so unprofessional and unaccountable, I would not trust ever using them again. He could use a business etiquette lesson where you actually hear the customer out and then respond. It is well worth it to pay more and be treated fairly. It is crazy that they do not realize the impact of social media, as this is not the only place I will communicate my experiences with them.

Where to start. Not one, but two! people were disrespectful to my mother on the phone. She is older and hard of hearing, so when she told me I thought maybe there was a misunderstanding. I called to get it straightened out for her, but neither of the people she spoke with were in the office. I spoke with a woman and got a move set up. My mother is on oxygen, so I requested NO SMOKERS, and was told that would be "no problem".
This is where it starts to go bad. They sent a 3 man crew, and 2 of them were smokers. They told me they wouldn't smoke around my mother's possessions, but that was not true. I caught them 3 times sneaking cigarettes IN THE TRUCK. After the third time I called the office and asked to speak to the owner. He wasn't in, but whoever I talked to told me there was no record of requesting non-smokers, and if I wanted different people I would have to pay EXTRA to cover additional crew and all the travel time.
They already had half the stuff loaded, so either I had to pay to their extra costs, or continue pay to have stinky smokers (one smelled like booze too!) unload the truck, and I'd be out all of the money with no move done. I have never felt so ripped off in my life. It was like something out of a Mafia movie."you pay us no matter what, we've got your stuff".

He FINALLY called me back and told me, and I quote, "Quit being such a whiner. You got your move, and I gave you a discount. You should be thankful". I have no idea how this place is in business. Great jog all the way around, Rich in the office to Sean and the 2 cres needed caused by delays in our loan closing. Workers busted their butts both days got us moved quickly. Due to delays with our lender Sparks had to store our packed truck overnight. Rich DID NOT CHARGE us for the overnight storage. We tied up a truck for 2 days. Can't thank them enough. Pat & Jo Ann

The owner was rude after I called to complain about the services I had received. He was continuously using profanity with me and kept calling me, "lady". We were misquoted on our price. Also many items were damaged and broken. I would not suggest ever using this company. I have never had an adult speak to me with such disrespect.
