I had an international shipment weighing roughly 1,900 pounds; Fitton Moving & Storage received the shipment and was able to deliver it the same week. David & Greg were both extremely professional, friendly and thorough. I own many high-value items that they took great care of and made me more than comfortable during their time in my home with my possessions. They installed everything that needed to be without me even having to ask. If I ever move again, choosing the moving company will be the easiest decision I have to make.

We hired Fitton Moving for our recent move across town. The guys they sent were wonderful - personable, hard working and respectful of our belongings. Everything went very well until I received the final bill, which was more than double the initial quote (we were quoted just over $1k for an in-town move and the final bill came to over $2k!). I understand there are going to be times when the final bill comes in higher than the quote, but for the bill to be more than double the initial quote is crazy.
We told them we had a 2 bedroom townhome, with a finished basement & bedroom so it functions as a 3 bedroom. They showed up with a tiny truck intended for a 1 bedroom apartment, then charged me when they needed to go get a 2nd truck (plus all the labor & time to go get the new truck, drive it to our house), plus storage fees for that 2nd truck overnight, etc.
So while their workers are wonderful, I cannot recommend this company and would recommend that you steer clear. If it weren't for the workers, I would have given this company a 1 star review.

From the start of the job to when it ended, the movers were punctual, professional, and pleasant. Was a more than affordable and wonderful experience! Wish I could give them a 10/10! I am not sure why there are mixed reviews on this company but please do not let that deter anyone from working with this amazing team. Service: Oversized-item moving

Today's move of my mother in law to an assisted living facility was the second time we have worked with Fitton. Their moving team of Shak and Jordan were a pleasure to work with. They were both polite, professional and VERY hard working. Finished the job late into the evening with me holding Jordan's cell phone flashlight while they assembled the last pieces of furniture. Even the staff at the facility commented on how polite and professional they were. Would definitely give them two thumbs up!

Just finished up a move from New Ipswich, NH to Rindge, NH. Our closing was delayed several days and they were extremely accommodating. Both days the Fitton crew showed up on time, wearing masks and ready to work from the start. They treated our belongings as if they were their own, taking extra care with valuables & fragile items. I also had several items that other movers would not move for me, but for Fitton, it was no problem at all. Finally, their price can't be beat, the "national" guys weren't even close. I HIGHLY recommend Fitton moving & storage for your next move. You won't be disappointed!

They were calm cool and collected, and did a fabulous job taking care of my things. I appreciated how efficient they were while also being careful. Even my building manager said they were some of the most courteous movers! Thank you for helping make a huge part of this cross-country move be stress-free.

We purchased a 450lb cast iron bath tub, and had the problem of getting it upstairs into the bathroom we are renovating. We tried getting the tub upstairs ourselves, but it was just too heavy and awkward. Of the 10 moving companies I called, there were only two willing to even take the job. The guys from Fitton showed up right on time, were extremely nice and professional.
They were very careful not to damage anything - walls, stairs or furniture. From the time they rang the doorbell to the time I signed and paid was 9 minutes. The owner and from office staff were also extremely easy and pleasant to work with. Fitton came highly recommended, and when we move again they will be the only moving company we call.

These movers were hired at the last minute and we thought they saved our butt but we were so wrong. Their estimate was for $800 but when we got the bill it was well over $1800. They knew up front what had to be moved and where the pickup and delivery was to be. Look somewhere else if you're looking for a moving company unless you want to pay double what their estimate is. They are just not a very honest and reputable company. Think twice and then move on!

Dave was absolutely wonderful during the entire process of my move from FL to MA. Maggie from his company always answered any questions or concerns I had regarding the move. The movers arrived at 8am sharp just as they said they would and did a fabulous job packing, wrapping and moving everything. The entire move from start to finish went smoothly and on time. I would highly recommend Dave from Fitton Moving and Storage. I have already scheduled to use them again for another job.

My Name is David Arsenault, Owner of Fitton Moving & Storage, I just want to put out there and make it clear that the bad reviews are all from military members. During these member moves there belongings are handled with 3 or 4 different moving companys before it even gets to my warehouse. Therefore the damage goods were not done by my company. Sometimes these military members forget that. I Have been in buisness for 37 years 3 generations of movers. I have built I very good name for myself and have a good reputation in this area. Thank you.

We've used Fitton for moving services multiple times in the past two years. The service is outstanding! They always arrive exactly on time with smiles on their faces, even at 8am on a 95-degree day. They confidently and effectively navigate the city of Boston, even down those narrow streets of the North End and Beacon Hill. Our favorite is Dave, the owner's son, who always exudes a great sense of humor coupled with utmost professionalism. Highly recommend!

Hello, I had a storage at Benson Street Storage in Fitchburg, MA for basically about 6 years, periodically checking the storage. On yesterday 2/15/2013, I go to my storage as I just got a new apartment to take some things & possibly take everything to my new place. When I go into the storage. The floor is soaken went, HUNDREDS of rat feces droppings, the rats had bitten through all the boxes, clothes, my important papers.
Basically my life was destroyed. I pay on time every month & I had to go through a hassle to even get help in getting assistance to open the storage as I needed bolt cutters because I had lost the key. I was told on many occassions that providing bolt cutters was a service that was provided. The woman at the service desk stated: I won't give you cutters until you pay me the rent for up to today.
Mind you I paid up until January 30th & my new bill was not due until the end of this month 2/2013. I found this rude because if I had the key I would have gotten my things & let Benson Street Storage know regardless upon leaving. I told the woman thats offensive as I have been paying a storage MONTHLY for SIX YEARS. I was given the cutters, but only to find Everything I owned destroyed.
When I came to the woman at the Front Desk no remorse, considerstion, or actual help was given. Which was bothersome to me after spending all this money over the years. I asked for assistance in using a close trash can, & I was initially told I could not use it. Which I followed by telling the woman I refuse to transport rat infested belongings in my vehicle as it was bad enough it was in this condition.
After a little back and forth I was allowed to. Now, I am left with nothing but my High school diploma, some pictures, a 3 other items after having a wall to wall ceiling to ceiling packed storage. What kind of customer service or consideration lies for me? I have to start from the bottom up. I paid a pro-rated rent rate for the time I used but after all this loss, is that fair?
I am completely disappointed in what I had to experience & the lack of professionalism in dealing with this situation. I pray no one ever has to deal with a situation like this as it is devastating. -ZaNetta Hume

Recently moved from Fitchburg to Orange, MA with (very) heavy oak furniture and lots of Sterilite containers filled with books, etc., on a raw, rainy day. We moved from a townhouse that was a considerable uphill walk from the area where the moving van had to park. Despite these less than ideal conditions, the three young men sent to move us were unfailingly polite, cheerful, efficient and professional.
The owner of the business and the office manager were equally pleasant to deal with, readily answerings our questions prior to the move - no matter how trivial they were. Setting the appointment for the move was easy, payment options were plentiful (cash, check, an assortment of credit cards). I found the hourly rate I was charged to be competitive with other local moving companies. [Because of the size of our move, we were charged an hourly rate rather than having the owner appraise the move in advance and quote a price which he would have done if we were moving a whole house rather than a 2-bedroom apartment.]
