Ferrick Brothers were amazing to work with! I had a couch delivered that wouldn't fit in my apartment elevator and needed to go up 7 flights of stairs. I wasn't sure what I was going to do and I contacted Ferrick Brothers in a pinch. They were extremely responsive and professional. They were on-site and ready to help in within the hour. The movers were friendly and attentive and even helped me get rid of extra packaging. It took them less than 5 minutes to get the couch up 7 flights of stairs. absolutely amazing! Thank you Ferrick Brothers- I will definitely be using you for my next move! :

Friendly all around but damaged my walls and furniture. They would only allow for a 6 hour minimum and the job took 4 at the most. For the price (which was outrageous!) I should have had a fully trained crew. 2 out of the 4 crew were pretty much brand new and you could tell. I would never use Ferrick Bros again.

Extremely happy with the service I received from Ferrick Brothers! I ordered a new treadmill that needed to be moved from the first floor to the third floor. The crew was courteous, efficient, and very professional. Ferrick Brothers will be my first call for my future moving needs. Service: Oversized-item moving

Using Ferrick Brothers to move us was the best money ever spent during our process of closing on the new house! We were quoted for a 4 to 6 hour job, but the efficiency of Jeff, Wayne, and Tony brought that down to 3 hours. Amazing crew and very professional! I would highly recommend going with this company for a move versus using another just because it's cheaper.
You get what you pay for and you get quality with Ferrick Brothers. It was so easy to work with Heather on setting up the move! Thank you all and keep up the great work, I'll be referring any chance I get.

The Job: move the contents of a three-bedroom house less than two miles down the road to a storage trailer located on our small farm. Not too tough a job, right? Oh boy.not for Ferrick Brothers! Important to know - we have moved several times, twice across the country. By a far margin, this simple (well it seemed simple) move was the absolute worst move ever.
To put into perspective, we once had a moving truck blown off the highway in Oklahoma due to a tornado. That truck was turned upside down. The damage to our goods was insignificant. In contrast, this move resulted in damage on an epic scale. Three men showed up on the day of our move - an hour later than stated, but.that was the least of the issues.
They set to work, and we just tried to stay out of the way. I couldn't help but overhear the men discussing their activities drinking the night before. At the time I didn't think much of this braggadocio. After all, a regional magazine designated Ferrick as the best movers in our area. Lesson learned: such designations are probably meaningless and possibly rigged in some manner.
Second lesson: when people loudly talk of their drinking exploits, pay attention, it might just indicate they are not quite ready for thinking about their actions. The men packed the truck and then left for the storage trailer. This is where everything went sideways.badly. Unfortunately, just as the truck was ready to leave, several things happened at once requiring me to remain at our old house.
A good friend accompanied the truck to the other location while I remained on site cleaning the rest of the debris left from the move. Later than evening, I went to the trailer and was absolutely appalled by what I saw. Picture, if you will, a pile of boxes, furniture and other items tossed willy-nilly into a trailer with no attempt at order or breakability.
Prior to the move we had installed shelving units in the trailer to keep things organized. I had explained to the movers that the shelves were meant for stacking boxes, etc. Nope. In their "wisdom" the movers shoved the shelves to the back of the trailer, piling all sorts of furniture on top of the shelves and leaving boxes every which way. Due to a family crisis, I had to leave town immediately following the move and did not have an opportunity to examine the trailer for almost a month.
When I returned, I realized the situation was even worse than it first appeared. Picture this: boxes marked "FRAGILE" were tossed sideways into piles that were topped with heavy furniture. A heavy exercise bike was tossed on its side on top of several boxes of good china. Boxes of books had been tossed on top of a couch; heavy boxes were piled haphazardly on top of other furniture; mattresses were placed a top light weight tables and chairs were piled on top of one another and then topped with boxes of other goods.
Soft goods were covered by hard goods. In short, a massive mess of tangled boxes, furniture, electronics and other things. In order to resolve this mess, we will be forced to hire other movers (much more responsible movers!) to empty and repack the trailer. Only then will we have a clear idea of the extent of damage to our belongings. An added expense we certainly do not need amid a family crisis.
My advice to anyone contemplating using this company: be careful and don't be swayed by the somewhat ironic and possibly rigged designation of "best of." Make sure to carefully supervise each aspect of the move and do not permit the movers to take any action without your direct oversight.

My wife and I recently used Ferrick brothers and we had a great experience. The guys worked very hard and were very careful with our items. They were all very professional and friendly. The whole process was great and Bob Ferrick got right back to me when I reached out to him. Thank you for the great experience and we'll keep your company in mind for any future moves.

The worse experience EVER trying to book a moving date and Time with Bob Ferrick. He is arrogant, unorganized and not customer friendly. Our experience 2 months ago was horrifying when he cancelled our moving date request the day before we were asking to be moved. This is after he received and deposited our down payment. We ended up with Leo at Harrington Movers.he was fabulous. It was a night and day experience. Ferrick is LOW Quality, :ow Class compared to Harrington Movers.

At last count, FOUR pieces of furniture damaged, badly Ferrick moved me in October. Here's what furniture the "movers" wrecked: 1) my father's desk--a large gouge exposing raw wood; 2) my grandfather's antique desk--broken off frontispiece; 3) my dresser--the top drawer broken (how could this even happen?); 4) ripped upholstery on my couch.
Never mind the multiple broken dishes and knickknacks. Solution? From the owner, "you should have bought more insurance?" Excuse me? I thought my "insurance" was hiring competent movers who'd treat my possessions with respect. Wrong. I was offered $75 off my bill for the desk gouge, or a repair. Stupidly, I chose the repair. It's almost December and I have heard nothing. Also, I question the pricing policies of these gougers (in more ways than one!)--there's a flat fee for four hours in you live within a certain radius of the business.
I do, and my move was within the radius. But because there were two stops, even though the time was within the four-hours for both stops, I was charged extra. There was no additional mileage involved, because the second stop was on the way back to the Ferrick offices. Do your self a favor--hire some clowns off the street for your move; they'll treat your stuff with more care and respect than Ferrick Brothers.

Ferrick just moved my cousin and did a really great job for a very reasonable price. After leaving a message I got a friendly call from the office that an owner, Bob, would phone me back. When he did, he outlined all the details and was very thorough in explaining everything, followed by some emails, including a contract estimate to sign and return with a deposit.
Very organized and easy! He explained exactly how things would go. On move day we got a call when they were pulling out and three movers arrived right on time. They were friendly and did a careful but rapid job. On the final price, they charged less than the estimate in this case, but I'm thinking, how honest is that? They could have charged per the contract, so this shows that they are a good, honorable company. I'm recommending Ferrick Bros to anyone who needs a move in the northern MA to southern NH area.

Wanted to update this review because like the other past reviewer, I also found a damaged piece of furniture in one of my buffet tables that I did not discover until about a year later because it was pushed against a wall. The damage was taped up and never disclosed. Now this might not be the owner's direct fault and the fault of an individual crew member from my move in 2016 but I was disappointed to discover the cover-up long after the fact after a good impression on moving day.
I wanted to corroborate the previous review by sharing. I still stand by my comments in the previous review but would like to encourage customers to exercise caution and diligence on moving day.

We have used Ferrick Bros. for two moves and couldn't have been happier! They were on time, polite, thorough, and quick. We chose a "cheaper" moving company for our most recent move (from Craigslist) - they never showed up, called, or answered their phone, even though they had called to confirm the day before. We got up at 4:30 am to be ready for the 9:30 am arrival of the moving van. never came.
This was a horribly hot Friday afternoon. Obviously, we couldn't find anyone else that same day. We took a mattress and slept on the floor of our new home. Found a couple of guys to help us move the next day but we had to rent our own truck. Still a bargain. Don't try to save money - you will be wasting money and your time. Hire Ferrick Brothers.

I called a few months back for a quote. Instead of getting just a quote I get a lecture from the owner on where I'm moving to. How it's not safe, how I should think twice, he moves most people "in and out of that place within a month or two". I realize in his mind he thought he was being helpful but instead he made me feel very upset and nervous when I should have been feeling happy and excited.
I was upset enough I'm still thinking about it and am writing this review which is something I have never done before. I'm happy to say I have been in my new place for awhile now and am very happy with it and the location. I suggest when giving out quotes you stick to business and not give out your personal opinion.

They ARE as good as it gets. Moved us fast, with courtesy, checked with us constantly about where and how we wanted our precious belongings, and did it so well and so quickly that the result came in well below our estimate. Best move we have ever had and we would recommend highly and without reservation.

We had Bob Ferrick and his team do a complete pack and move for us from Lawrence, MA to Salem, NH. They arrived at our house at 7:30 am, packed everything, and we were at our new home by 3:30 pm the same day. Not a single thing was broken or crushed. The team was very friendly, helpful and courteous - you can't ask for more than that! Highly recommend this company if you are considering a move in the Merrimack Valley area.

We closed quickly on our new home and were living in temp housing while all our stuff was in storage. Desperate to move into our new home quickly, Ferrick was the only local company that was available during the busy summer season and/ or called back. Another local company played phone tag for days as only the owner could book moves or give quotes.
Very frustrating! Bob the Ferrick owner called us back right away and we scheduled our local move for a few days later. He quoted us an hourly rate and honestly told us final bill is based on how long it took to get out stuff out of storage and into new house. Typically he comes to house and gives you an estimate. Moving day: team of 3 was on time at 7am and got us packed up quickly and moved into new home.
Move into new home was quick too. Nothing was broken or walls scuffed etc. Everyone was polite and helpful. Came in under our guesstimated costs! No $ surprises. It was a long few months but finally in new home!

If you are reading this it means you are scouring the internet looking for a mover you can trust. I was you a few weeks ago. I was really concerned because I didn't want to spend a fortune but I also didn't want my stuff thrown around by a bunch of gorillas! I wound up calling a friend who has owned several homes and businesses in the greater Haverhill area and he told me what I am about to tell you.
Stop looking and call Ferrick Brothers. They moved us last week and here is what I have to say. 1. They were friendly. 2. They were incredibly quick. 3. They were careful to the point where my wife even said "wow these guys actually care about our stuff!" 4. In the end they did the job for way less than the estimate. When do you ever see anyone do anything for less than the estimate? You will deal directly with the owner (Bob) and I know you will be as impressed as I was!
