Citywide Moving Systems - Charlotte

On Thursday 6/16/22, my husband & I moved from our home in Charlotte, NC to our new place in Belmont, NC. From the first phone call with Ms. Kathy to discuss the logistics (ie. moving date, furniture list, pricing, etc.) to the six-man moving crew, we could not have had a better experience. Matt, Bruce, William, Rell, Cameron, & Dallas were a very trustworthy, hard-working team.

This group was also very polite & courteous & took excellent care of all our furniture. Moving Day can be very stressful but Citywide Moving Systems went above & beyond our expectations. We highly recommend them to meet all your relocation needs. Thanks Citywide & our awesome team of six, we appreciate everything! God Bless you all.

This is the 2nd time we've used Citywide Moving but the most recent move was by far the biggest job we've personally experienced. These guys came in and it was clear they had a system! After walking them around, they began the packing task I had been dreading! This team was efficient! They had our home (6700sqft) packed up and ready for the 2 day move.

The first move day was to storage and 2nd day was to our rental home. I have unpacked every box and the labeling was topnotch! The contents were packed with care! These guys were not only efficient but the communication and attitude of each one made my week! Can't wait to work with Citywide when we move again next year!

We had a renovation completed in our home that was covered by insurance. We needed to move out furniture on the main floor including a grand piano. With a 3-car garage, we asked the team to move the majority of the furniture in there. They did an excellent job of carefully moving and stacking where they could and used blankets to protect the furniture.

They are experts in moving pianos and did an excellent job of packing and moving it. Two weeks later, they came back and moved the piano and furniture back in the house. Nothing was damaged and the team was very professional. We were pleased and would definitely use them again.

We couldn't be happier with Bruce C and his crew. They we wonderful, very respectful of our property. Boy did they work, the move was done in no time. Thanks Guys, you were amazing.

Cory and Tommy were fantastic. They efficiently and quickly loaded all of our furniture on the move out and delivered to a different state in the same fashion. Very respectful and courteous. Highly recommend these folks. They are awesome!

Citywide was very organized and easy to work with in setting up our moving details. Joel was very knowledgeable. Matt was an excellent very hard working mover. He was very polite and professional.

The best movers I've ever had. and being military at one point. I've moved a lot.so accommodating and patient. Such a positive attitude! Real pleasure to work with the entire team from start to finish!

We have used other moving companies in the past and this company by far has been the best! Matt, Bruce, Will, Kendrick, Jacob and Jamel all did a fabulous job in getting everything packed in the truck and getting it to our new place. They were all super friendly, set the expectation, and gave us the confidence to know that we had the best. Never did I worry if furniture was going to get damaged.

They knew what to do and they had what they needed to get the job done professionally. We got behind in packing some items and these guys never rushed us and they even helped us out. These guys set the standards as Professional Movers!

We had a great experience with Citywide Moving! They weren't the cheapest I was quoted at but the woman who helped with my estimate was so pleasant and kind that she won me over. The day-of moving went flawlessly - the movers were friendly, fast, and took great care of our items. Would definitely use them again!

I couldn't recommend Citywide Movers enough. The customer service was exemplary and the movers were quick, friendly and professional. It was so easy to do business with them.

My moving team did an excellent job moving us. They worked hard and late into the evening until the job was done. They were friendly and took apart and reassembled all the pieces that needed to be broken down. Very hard working team.

Highly recommend this moving company and the team that helped my move! They are Bruce, Matt, Xavier and William. They were not only efficient, fast, but also very considerate and nice people. They were very careful with my furniture, and did a great job setting everything up! The communication with the office admin team was also very good. Rhonda and Kathie answered all my questions promptly and were very helpful!

I used Citywide to move out for a renovation. Rhonda and Kathy were great answering all my questions about the logistics for movong and storage. On move out day, Bruce and his team came in with a very positive attitude. They worked with care for my items. They were respectful, professional, quick and efficient. They were able to accommodate a request to make one stop to drop my exercise equipment off at my temporary location/home.

This is only part one of my move. They took my furniture and boxes to their storage facility. I will be writing another review to update part 2 of the move in a few months. I will be requesting Bruce and his team again. I feel I can recommend Citywide Moving Systems with confidence!

From the moment I read a review, to the person who booked my move, to the actual movers, everyone was professional and cared about my things and my experience. Fast and absolutely no damage.

Highly impressed with this team of movers. They were quick, efficient, and incredibly kind. We had Chase, Xavier, and Mitchell help us out and they were outstanding! Learned at the end that it was Mitchell's first day - you would've never know. Definitely use this company when moving!

Bruce, William and Matt with Citywide Moving were professional, quick, accommodating, efficient, and easy to work with. On top of all that, they were fun and good-natured even as the afternoon became unbearably hot. I highly recommend Citywide in general and Matt, Bruce and William in particular.

Chase, William, Jeshua did an excellent job moving us. They were very considerate and professional in how they approached the move. Everything was completed in a timely manner and the crew communicated very well with each other and with us. Extremely satisfied and will be using Citywide Moving Systems again in the future. I highly recommend using. this company. Kathy did an excellent job coordinating the move with me and provided plenty of useful information prior to the move. I was given enough boxes to move our entire apartment, and they even do pickup when you are done! Citywide is a group of professionals who get the job done right.

Jermaine, Kendrick, Chase, and William are some incredible guys. When I booked Citywide, I was initially concerned about an hourly rate for an intra-city move based on a previous experience with another moving company (harmful plug: don't use Fly Movers!), but man are these guys fast. We just had our floors refinished a few days before we were moving and the Citywide team came prepared to cover the floors, doors, etc. so nothing would get scratched.

I cannot say enough good things about the team we had. Dana helped us schedule, Kathy was VERY responsive and answered all of my questions and Jermaine, Kendrick, Chase, and William were both professional and fun to chat with while everything was getting moved in.

These people are seriously the best! Rhonda was so awesome at getting us worked in the schedule last minute. The owner came out and looked at our move personally and gave us a quote. The packing team was super professional and not one single thing they moved was damaged - nothing! They got the job done quickly; you can definitely tell they've done this before.

I've never used a professional packing and moving service but I would highly recommend this group to anyone. Having them made our move 1000% easier than doing this ourselves.

Citywide crew was awesome. I talked with two office people on separate days and they were both super nice. Then the two guys that moved our piano were awesome. My only regret was I did not use them for the whole move. I had moved everything but the piano and just could not handle it. If I ever move again (and I hope I don't) then Citywide gets the job. They are Professionals.

I would steer clear of using CityWide Movers because they will gouge you and waste time sitting in their truck smoking and you will be looking around wondering why they are not doing the job you hired them to do. They decided to take an hour and a half lunch on my dime and charge me for it. Such crooks! You will be sorry if you use this outfit. There are too many other moving companies out there so do yourself a favor and take this as a warning to not deal with this company or you will be sorry you heard the dirty name CityWide. Shameful!

They were fast, prompt & did a great job. They made me so happy!

Fantastic crew of men who worked hard and were extremely careful with hard to pack specialty items like grandfather clock, antique furniture, stained glass etc where other companies made excuses and recommended Citywide. Muddy weather and brush along the driveway was no problem for them! Highly recommended.

We booked CityWide for packing and moving at the end of November. Overall they did a decent job. However, we paid nearly double what we were originally quoted which was very frustrating. None of the workers wore masks to protect from COVID. On top of that, several pieces of furniture were damaged (a dresser, bed, and 2 bar stools). They also put deep scratches in the wood floors in our brand new house.

Due to craziness of the holidays, I have not been able to call the office and file a complaint, but I plan to call this week so we will see if they do anything to remedy this.

Citywide movers f*** ROCK! We moved to Asheville in September and my husband talked to Joel he was spot on with his virtual quote! The movers were absolutely FANTASTIC (sorry I can't remember your names) but you guys made it look easy. It's the first time we've not moved ourselves in 37years and just can't say enough about this company! Many thanks

I would like to say I never give bad reviews. Ever- and this time I feel it's necessary to avoid someone else experiencing the same. I have moved probably 20-30 times in my life up and down the East Coast so I am very familiar in what a good mover is and what isn't. Citywide doesn't represent their slogan at all. Long story short the sales person Joel quoted me $1500 to pack and move a two bedroom one garage 8 miles down the road.

I was charged $3200 with no concession from the owner sales person and my dispute was denied because I signed the paperwork Do not sign the paperwork after a move if you aren't pleased! The owner was very rude in trying to appease my complaints. His son was apparently the one on the job that wouldn't wear a mask while loading my things. I complained he was replaced. Nepotism runs high here a father/son duo also helped move.

Father was rude son tried to apologize. I was told the packers would have masks and gloves. Wasn't on the paperwork and they gave me an attitude when I asked. Same for movers - attitude after I asked for something to be moved in a room.even after I tipped and went to get waters from a gas station when asked. They messed up a tv console and dented my walls.

New house brand new construction but I would rather them never step foot in my house again. I never write such a scathing review but highly advise against using this company for moving!

Very professional. The movers were on time for both pick up and delivery! Thad and Chad were courteous and very professional in moving our furniture! Received both a note and follow up call regarding service. Would highly recommend City Movers!

Did an excellent job moving us from our old house to storage then from storage to our new home. Worked with no wasted time which is often not the case with hourly paid contractors. The movers themselves were personable and easy to work and communicate with. The front office was friendly and helpful. I can not recommend a service more highly.

I have moved many times both within the military and out. Corporate moves and personal moves. I have rarely found a group of moving personnel like the ones employed by Citywide Moving. They were professional both in packing and moving and were cheerful throughout the process. I had some pretty heavy items coming down a rounded 17 step staircase. They moved them with ease. If you need a mover call Joel and Rhonda. They will set you up. This was a superb move.

They were so efficient. We had so much stuff, but Mama wasn't able to go through and eliminate the clutter. So they had to pack it all. Quicker than expected, they beat their own quote, which was already a. competitive price with superior service. There trucks are sharp and make you look good when they pull up. But the thing that sets them apart is their people.

Their care for us as people as well as our things was outstanding. We are just starting to unpack, but everything is. to put it bluntly more organized now than when they started. The experience with packing, loading and dealing with people dealing with the stress of a big move, i just can't say enough about them. It was our first.

This company and their employees do moving right! I had an upright player piano that needed to be moved. From the first telephone call to schedule I was impressed. The office staff is phenomenal! The movers are super nice and helpful, not to mention quick! If I ever need professional movers again, I won't hesitate to call Citywide Moving Systems! I cannot thank them enough!

The quote process and communication with the staff was great. All employees are very courteous and work very fast. Our one serious complaint is that we asked and paid for soft wrapping for all furniture that was being shipped to Puerto Rico and did not get it. They half wrapped some stuff, but most was just loaded onto the loving container without more.

As a result, some of our furniture was damaged. Also, beware, this company DOES NOT KEEP INVENTORY of what they pack and uses huge boxes where they pack everything in one area. I haven't opened any of the boxes yet. don't know what I'll find

My first impression of the guys was great. However, after dealing with them and getting ripped off on the bill, I just had to write a review up. They moved a total of 15 items. They were done with all but 2 of those items in the first hour. So tell me then how they can charge me a whopping $660.00!?! Well, let me tell you that after a 30 minute smoking break and an hour lunch and then they get lost on the way to my apartment because they didn't want to follow me but instead take a lunch break! Seriously, they needed a smoking break and then a lunch break to boot after just an hour and 15 minutes of work. Incredibly disrespectful.

Plus they damaged my couch because they did not wrap everything like they claimed. I have sent emails and not heard anything back of course from corporate. Not surprising. they would rather rip customers off instead of keeping life long repeat customers. Steer clear of this company. They will rip you off blind! I didn't want a confrontation in person so just paid the money which I regret afterwards. Ugh. lesson learned. will never use them again and will certainly spread the word that this company is bad news!

One persons word of mouth equals a loss in revenue. So wake up Citywide Movers and learn to treat your customers better! I should have read all the reviews prior to using this company. Such an awful and expensive lesson learned.

These are best movers I've ever used. I had a massive armoire that was very challenging for my body builder buddy and I to get into the house and these guys moved it effortlessly and zero damage to the cabinet nor walls. They were on time, courteous and very professional. Without doubt, these are the only movers I will use going forward!

This is my 1st experience working with a moving company and these guys made it a good one. They were friendly and engaging. They were knowledgeable about what they doing and even threw a few moving tips my way. If i ever move again I would definitely use this company and request the same movers. I would and will recommend the this moving company to others.

Blocking parking lot making me have to drive around the block to get in or out of the parking lot I am trying to get into, I hit my horn to let them know I needed to get in and out of that side and I got cursed at by people in the truck. Never use this company

Excellent customer experience! They made a normally stressful process a breeze! Great price! I couldn't be more pleased. Flawless move. I'll definitely use them again on my next move and you should too!

At first it was refreshing to have such professionalism when booking the appointment with Kathie. The 3 movers were great until one of them set a box from the ground on top of my white memory foam mattress. Why? The repair person they sent out did decent work, but parked his ragged truck in my driveway and left an oil spill. I reported it, they claim they came out twice but didn't notify me either of the times to inform me or ask was I satisfied.

I then wrote another email to Kathie to express my exhaustion in how long this was taking to get resolved as it was nearly two months. She then said I was threatening them when I said I feel like I should contact other authorities since this was never made a priority. I told her to call it whatever she'd like then she continued to argue, she put more energy in that the finding resolution.

The the owner called me. Never once apologized that this was still going on, or apologize that the guy HE sent cause the oil spill at my new construction home. He also had the balls to tell me to get over it as it doesn't seem your going to ever be satisfied and that someone else would come to visit me and more than likely will cause another oil spill too.

This MF lacks empathy, yells at you on the phone, and doesn't give a darn after he has your money. That's the common theme of the entire company. They provide service, but NOT Customer Service! STAY COMPLETELY AWAY! Don't let them move your cat's litter box.

Deciding last minute to save our backs and hire movers, we searched around for the best deal, with the highest customer satisfaction scores we could find. We could not have been more pleased. On the business side: Phone courtesy and professionalism is important to me, and Citywide delivered! Very pleasant, very reasonable, and upfront with covering all of my expectations of the move. 5 Stars.

On the labor side: Mike, Adam, and Drew were phenomenal! They moved all of our stuff out of a storage unit and two second floor bedrooms and into a single story home in 4 hours (with a stop for lunch). I would have still been working until 8pm and my back would have never forgiven me. At one point one of the guys was moving a chest-of-drawers and I looked at my gf and said, "I didn't know you emptied that." Her reply, "I didn't." The furniture certainly didn't take near the beating I gave it on the last move. 5 Stars. In short, I will definitely be hiring these folks again on the next move! Keep up the great work Citywide!

I also would recommend Citywide to anyone. They arrived right on time and we were charged exactly what I expected. I was glad that I had read the reviews, because I requested Shawn as someone suggested. He and Jim did a great job. To young guys with plenty of energy. They were nonstop. Nothing was damaged, they were great.! I would not hesitate to hire them again!

This company is amazing. I've never hired a moving company before and after a lot of research I chose Citywide. From my initial phone call I was impressed. My scheduler Kathy was so friendly and understanding. She answered all of my questions and really put me at ease. When Jermaine & Corey arrived on moving day they immediately began loading and didn't stop until the job was done.

They were friendly, professional, and best of all funny. I wasn't moving a lot of furniture and only moved 4 miles but felt like I was their most important customer. They made sure everything was where I wanted it and were finished in less than 2 hours. I will recommend Citywide to anyone who is moving!

I seriously would have put this at a 5 star review had it not been for a few things. Let me get one thing straight first. The guys that actually did the move were top notch. Friendly, helpful, hard working, etc. etc. The back office staff needs to pay a little bit more attention and provide bigger trucks. There in lies my issue, the entire move took about an hour extra becuase the truck wasn't their largest in their fleet, thus creating an extra round trip.

I can't hold too much of grudge because once I brought the issue up the company did return an hour's worth of my money. Couple things to note about moving companies and this one in particular is that if it rains you still pay the time. Everything is hourly. This company unlike others only starts the clock once they get to the first destination, not once they leave their office.

Some don't do that. The other good thing about this company is they sent 3 guys for the job which frees up one guy to load the truck while the other 2 go and get things. That seemed to help with the timing. I would still recommend this company to anyone.

It is hard to pick how many stars for Citywide because some things were great and some horrible. So I picked 2 stars and here is the mixed review: Great Part: Not a thing was broken! They didn't scratch my very expensive sectional. They didn't drop anything or lose anything. The three guys we had worked very hard and barely asked for anything.

They were considerate and always asked where to put things and double-checked on instructions. They didn't complain and barely took a lunch. Just fantastic guys. We tipped them $50 a piece. Horrible Part: How does a $500 estimate get to be a $1200 move? Well the truck they decided to use (knowing full well we were moving TWO households into one) was too small and they had to make 2 trips to one of the households.

We had to pay them by the hour and thought they would re-compensate us for part of the move since this was not our fault. They did not adjust the price for this and I was shocked. I still can't believe it but I am so happy in my new place I just decided we would just take this as a 'lesson learned'. But I wanted to post a review on Yelp so yall know about the bad estimating and bad customer service of Citywide Moving Systems. Added a star here - they credited us 100 back from the move.
