As a local, family-owned and operated storage property we have been providing exceptional storage options to the Chula Vista, Imperial Beach and San Diego community since 1980. We offer storage options in a wide range of sizes, mailbox rentals and much more. Our convenient storage is located in between I-5 and I-805 at the intersection of Main St and Mace St.
Looking for storage rentals, Sav-On Storage Chula Vista has got you covered. We have a wide range of standard storage areas for rent, and we also rent mailboxes in three different sizes. You can rent on our website or visit our 24/7 kiosk available for rentals and move-ins anytime at a great storage price.
If you're an apartment manager, we'll provide you with discount coupons and flyers you can use to introduce our storage options to new and existing tenants as well as anyone else you know who needs storage. Simply attach a company card or stamp your apartment complex name on them so we'll know the referral came from you and where to send your referral check.
It's important to Sav-On to be a good corporate citizen, so we participate in the Chula Vista community as much as we can. Serving as a Charity Storage drop-off point (accepting gently used clothing, household goods and furniture). We also run our own version of "Storage Wars, " auctioning off storage almost every month and donating the proceeds to a Chula Vista non-profit organization. The storage sizes are usually 10' x 10' and they may be empty or filled with items left behind by a past client. Donations range from $100 to $400.

It is rare to find a place in town with good customer service after covid, at this storage Natalie the manager was extremely helpful. Was kind and showed me units until I found the size I needed, felt appreciated at this place. Every time I'm in with questions the team is helpful Jose and Michael are always great. Recommend this place 100%

Over the years I've had many units in storage facilities but never have I experienced what I did when I went to Savon Storage in Chula Vista! The employment was top rate, management was EXTRAORDINARY and the units very clean! Thanks SAVON STORAGE for making a difficult move so easy and unforgettable! You guys ROCK!

It's been at least 3 years with the mailbox service and the office is always clean, neat. The location is great, very accessible and good & clean parking area, but most of all, the service is always personal and with a smile, at times going beyond their duties to help. Some of the staff has changed and though they have always been great, the newer members Natalie & Ruby along with Jose, seem to be the best working team with a great vibe! Thank you!

They are nice until you stop being their customer. Then they get nasty. They refused to forward mail after I terminated service. They accepted packages did not return to sender or forwarded to me even after I asked for them to be forwarded with paid postage and direct pickup. I had to file a complaint with the postmaster regarding the mail they accepted and with the postal inspector as well.
Per the postal inspector's office they are in violation of the contract they have. I tried to talk it over with the store manager, but after her refusal I was forced to take other actions. Will see how far the complaints go as they said keeping mail for any reason and not returning it to the sender or forwarding is a federal offense. I did ended up submitting formal complaints with the post master. Did not get a call back or any follow ups.

I needed a storage last minute and after much review I decided to stop by this place. They open earlier then any storage facility in the area so that was convenient. Walked right in and was helped right away, I was shown a few different sizes and all offers and promotions were explained to me very well. I signed papers and had my lock, keys and storage space in under 20 minutes. The staff members are friendly the facility is very clean and well maintained. They also offer military discount. Thanks guys!

I have been your customer for 10 years and the service had been the best in the town and also the most expensive year after year, but it had been worth it because the mail was never 'missing', the front desk friendly and helpful;in other words, a first class service but something has been happening with the management; I had a case, I received a package delivered on November 9 and I went to pick it up and it was not anywhere and it was delivered to me until November 23 since I needed it for November 14, I had no choice but to order it with express critical delivery again. O.K. that was the first and the second; They put confidential medical correspondence in the wrong box, the person who received it, fortunately that someone returned it to me without a sender from Montana, explaining that person, he/she opened it without notice it, since it was in the correspondence and from there, this person went to the airport and on the flight, notice my envelope, when it arrived in Billings, put it in the post office, it was an appointment that we expected for my son with special needs for 8 months; the envelope arrived a day before the appointment, November 28.
I am willing to pay these boxes because in San Diego is increasingly common the theft of packages from the houses and until then I had been very satisfied with the service, hopefully it return to normally, it will be a shame to have to look for another reliable place.

Does not honor Yelp Check-in Discount and charges $60 if you enter after 8pm. Overall, they are ok. I liked the 4am access hour. I didn't like how they advertise access 4am-945pm, but conveniently leave out the $60 charge if you want to access your items after 8pm. I also didn't like that they didn't honor the Yelp check-in discount of 50% for first 2 months.
The lady was like, we don't have that discount. We can give you 20%. That's a dramatic difference and when I called to make my appt before I showed up with my belongings, I mentioned the discount. So that was frustrating. The lady finally was like, well I can give you 20% off of the first 3 months. Then I also mentioned that I have USAA rental insurance, so I don't have to pay the monthly $9 fee.
My phone was at literally 0% on power save mode, so I couldn't pull up the proof. I asked to use the store phone and was denied. (The lady said that they only have 1 line.) Then I was like well I will use my phone until it dies. She was like, Well you only have 3minutes to call USAA because the screen will timeout and you will have to go outside and use the kiosk because she has to go on lunch.
Which I believe several thungs she said was false. It was 1:30pm, so they would close the store at 1pm for lunch while other people are there? I honestly think she was bothered that I had a coupon and wanted to make my process as difficult as possible for me. The 2 reasons I choose this place over other locations was due to their hours and Yelp Check-in Discount, both which didn't workout how I thought!

I first called the number from the website and I was directed to a call center. Andy helped me and it was very easy to reserve a unit over the phone. When my mom and I arrived at the site, Enrique (Manager), was very helpful and showed us the unit size for my original reservation. $44 for a 4X5, Enrique suggested that we look at the 5X10 unit because it was not much of a price difference with the current promotion. My mom was very happy with his suggestion. Enrique provided great customer service! I'm glad I found this location on Yelp!

I recently leased a storage place to store two small twin beds & some books that belong to my children, nothing of real value maybe the books sentimental value! With Christmas and a recent emergency we came across I was late for 10 days they put a 25.00 dlr. Lien and two 10 dlr later fees which ended up in almost 200 hundred dlrs. Outrageous since I waited to speak to the person in charge they added another 25 dlr. Lien I'm talking about a 57.00 dlr space a month terrible attitude from the girl in charge. She's not friendly at all, rude

I love this place! I switched to them after the USPS lost my mail several times and learning that they don't change the keys after you cancel them, so a previous user was stealing my checks! Anyway, I have been with these guys a few months now and I really like their customer service. They are polite, and actually go out of their way to satisfy customers, they notify me about packages that arrive and make sure I get all my mail delivered, and if there are issues, they let me know ASAP.
I like that they are open on Saturday until late and 30 mins more during the week, that allows me to get to them after business hours. They even have a FB page! Super good for fast communication and record keeping. I was just telling my family how good this change has been for us.

I have been using Savon Storage self storage for a few years now. It's safe and air conditioned. There is always ample parking. The hours are a challenge, as they are only open until 6pm, however, they recently changed that to 10pm! The fact that it is so secure and easy to access makes it an attractive place. Most of the guys who work there are helpful. just ask for Jim and you will on your way. Highly recommended.
