First time renting a storage unit and honestly I was a little naive about the whole process. Initially I booked a unit online and ended up confused about what to do next. Kevin contacted me and walked me through the contract and forms. The first day I had trouble with the gate code and all, but was able to reach Kevin who once again walked me through the steps.
The facility itself is aged but it gets the job done and is a decent price. The only thing that was frustrating was when you call the number you have to go through an automated system instead of reaching someone directly. However, I always got prompt return phone calls- like less than 5 minutes. Would recommend for the customer service and price.

Absolutely love it here. Very friendly people. Easy access day or night. My only complaint is something they can't even change and more of a warning. There is a state highway patrolman that sits next door and pulls people coming out of the property constantly. Everytime I go hes there and everytime I pull away there goes his lights. Like I said absolutely nothing they can do about it just a warning to others. This place is amazing! Despite that I will still always use this place.

Absolutely excellent customer service with long term and experienced employees. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the services they have. They went above and beyond. My unit was very clean. It was raining the day I moved items in and no water could get in my unit, because of the good drainage, and structure at the whole location. unlike an experience I had at a different storage location. I feel safe with the fenced in location, that one needs a code to enter. Pleased.

DO NOT store your belongings w this Company! My furniture was stored here for a month and got infested w cockroaches! I'm appalled bc I even called them to inquire that they use pest control extermination. etc. I was ASSURED there would be no problems. When I started moving my belongings, there were roaches. total loss all tv's, living room, family room, 3 bedrooms, dining set, and kitchen appliances.
The only save are fabric items I can put in a washer! As soon as I called them, didn't argue or even question, just referred me to rental insurance company, which they state they do not cover bugs. Just rodents. If you want roaches. Feel free to house your belongings! This particular one is in Lima, Ohio. And NO, I did not have bugs prior to storing there. I have 2 other storages in Columbus w a different Company and have no issues there.

Look elsewhere! I called to request a storage unit and spoke with the manager Bailey who held a unit for me and told me to come the next day and that they opened at 9. My husband showed up with 2 truckloads of our things at 10:20 and no one was there and it was obvious they were still closed from the night before. Customer service via the call. center is a joke.
We both were calling and despite talking to 4-5 people no one could help us and no one called us back as requested. My husband was able to use the kiosk to get a key and pay despite it restarting several times only to find out the gate code it provided didn't work. Finally after 11 someone showed up and let my husband in and he.

I had originally gone to Global Self-Storage because it was the closest facility to our home. The manager Bailey, was so friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend them. After I told him what I needed storage for he showed me the perfect unit and made sure I had easy access. The pricing was comparable to other storage places but I really appreciated the friendliness and help.

Sadly, it's move out day. Didn't think getting rid of a bill would be sad but Kevin has been absolutely amazing when it came to my storage and helping me with any problems I may have encountered. Always good to see a smiling face and such a awesome soul when I arrived at the facility. Hard to find such a genuine person who loves their job but he always goes above and beyond for people. Kudos to this storage company for having an employee like Kevin. If I ever need a storage again I will always come back to this one. Thank you for everything!

I can't say enough about this awesome facility. Kevin is amazing. He's always been there to provide information, assistance, a friendly greeting, conversation and smile. When my business grew, I needed to go up in size of unit. Kevin made this transition easy and stress free. When a friend was relocating and needed a unit quick, Kevin was a phone call away to help me out.
The location is perfect. It is easy to maneuver a trailer in around in it. The facility is always clean and well secured. Being a female, I feel perfectly safe to go alone at all hours of operation. Making payments is easy and hassle free. I would, and have, recommended this place to friends and family.

For starters, they could improve by accurately representing the services they offer. For example, what are the parameters for "climate controlled?" What's "controlled" and to what extent? We just recently had a poor experience with their Clinton, CT facility. We had two "climate controlled" units and when we went to remove our items, we. noticed mold on much of the furniture and documents (incl sheet music, books, etc.).
We were duped into thinking that we were actually going to receive something quantifiable for the upcharge we paid. Adding insult to injury, they never responded to our attempts to contact them in writing. Caveat emptor = Buyer beware.

I rented here for about 5 months. The location is to get to, easy to maneuver through, and there are plenty of unit size options. Kevin, the manager, was super helpful and easy to work with. The property is well maintained and I always felt like my belongings were safe. I definitely recommend this place for all your storage needs!

We rented a unit from Global for several years and put in a 90 day notice of intent to vacate. We vacated the unit by the date on the notice. The unit wasn't locked and cleaned when we vacated it. A few months later we get a bill for over 600.00 stating the unit was still in use. I asked that the issue be escalated to a District Manager to assist with resolving the matter.
Almost two weeks go by and Norman calls from 484-889-1293, but he doesn't identify his title despite being asked. He was yelling from the time I answered the phone. His exact words after I said hello was "I understand you have a problem with the way we do business". Who speaks to people that way?! After listening to to him blatantly lie accusing us of leaving items in the unit and they continued to charge for the unit since it was locked was also a lie.
He contradicted himself by saying we left items in the unit that's why we were still being charged. Then he said the unit was locked, so he assumed we were still renting. Which is it? Did we lock it or did the lock make them assume it was still rented. He then proceeded yelling that we were irresponsible, since I told him he was dishonest and contradicted himself.
He threatened taking us to court and said we couldn't do anything about the bill since he has that type of power. I hung up, he's a foolish individual who I refused to argue with. If Global allows their employees to speak to people this way, then renters beware. I'm still waiting on a district manager to get involved.

Kevin has been wonderful to work with. We have been with the storage facility for years and have no complaints. We had an issue with needing gravel in our parking spot (due to a very wet spring) and Kevin was right on it--getting gravel ordered! In fact, he always responded quickly to any call or concern I had. Thank you very much. I recommend this facility.

Lt was close from where l was moving from. They have everything you need to pack and move. Friendly Customer Service. They also have parking space for RV's and cars. They have tempiture and regular units. Outside and inside units. Security around the entire business. Know one can get in if they don't have your code. You can change your code at any. time.
They have plenty of cameras all over the property. I personally know the owner and I grew up in Sadsburyville so I enjoy visiting my Hometown and going to Harry's Bar & Grill for a famous cheese dog. Plus the owner and I both are Dallas Cowboys Fan's but I am sure everyone knows that!
