Hydropneumatic tanks are designed to deliver water under pressure between pump cycles to provide sufficient flow to meet demands in booster pump, well water and sprinkler system applications. Surge arrestor tanks are designed to effectively control water hammer shock and pump start-up / shut-down water surge.
AAtanks offers a wide range of ASME fabrication options for potable water, wastewater, specialty gas storage, chemical transport, high pressure, and more. ASME-code standard designs from 1 to 20,000 gallons and up to 650 PSI MAWP.

Services
Hydropneumatic tanks are ASME and non-ASME vessels that hold water and air under pressure. To provide efficient water supply, hydropneumatic tanks regulate system pressures to quickly meet system demand. The compressed air creates a cushion that can absorb or apply pressure as needed. Typical applications include booster pump, well water, sprinkler or irrigation application, or any application where a continuous flow of water is needed while regulating pump cycles. In a booster pump application, it can provide water to the system during periods of a no flow shutdown of the booster pump or it can provide water to replace leak loads.
AAtanks ASME-code bladder and diaphragm style hydro-pneumatic tanks will be smaller in size than the plain steel hydropneumatic tank design and thus require less floor space. AAtanks designs utilize a heavy-duty butyl rubber barrier between the air and water which prevents water logging. The pre-charged hydro-pneumatic tank is virtually maintenance free.
AAtanks ASME-code plain steel or air over water type hydropneumatic tanks are custom built to fit any application. The non-bladder hydropneumatic tank is typically designed to be used in conjunction with an air compressor or air feed line. Plain Steel / Custom Hydropneumatic tanks are non-bladder type typically built in carbon or stainless steel.
