Triangle Moving Service Inc. was established in 1989 as a one truck operation servicing Hillsborough, Chapel Hill and Durham, NC. Since then, the company has continuously increased both it's size and service area.

I will try to stick to the facts here. We moved in 2020 with another company (from DC, wish I could have used them again). In 2020 it took 10.5 man-hours to load AND unload a 26' truck with our stuff (the other company was AMAZING). In 2021 with Triangle Moving Service it took 15 man-hours. For our 2021 move with Triangle Moving Service, there was supposed to be 3 movers, but only 2 showed up. Needless to say, the price per hour was not 2/3 of the quoted rate, it was 85% of the quoted rate (truck costs, etc.).

While they didn't do any serious damage to anything (we have mostly 2nd hand furniture anyway), they were not particularly careful. If you have furniture that isn't fancy or heirloom-quality they could be ok. But if you plan ahead, I would get a few other quotes.

Worst ever. They're a complete scam. They worked slow when raised the price saying it took longer than estimated, then demanded cash. The day after they won't answer my calls. They broke about $2500 worth of stuff. Don't be a fool.

This is the worst moving company that I have ever worked with. The owner, who shows up only to provide the quote, was fabulous, which gives the impression that it is a professional company. But the workers were far from professional. They were slow; talked my ear off the entire time they worked, instead of focusing on the job; took repetitive smoke breaks (and left their butts all over the driveway); broke items which I did not discover until I unpacked; and did damage to the walls and doorways. Basically, they represent everything you DON'T want in a moving company.

Since the company only employs three men, it is the same crew that works all of the jobs. And if you buy them lunch or tip them, don't expect a thank you from them. I am not sure if that is from feelings of entitlement, or just bad manners. I did not bother complaining to the owner afterwards because it seemed pointless, what was done was done. Frankly, I just wanted the moving experience to be over and decided to cut my losses.

This was the most horrible experience of my life! They sent 3 guys to perform the move who were extremely unprofessional and rude!. They took 16 hours to perform the move when the estimate given by the appraiser said 9. To make the 16 hours I had to elicit the assistance of friends. To make matters worse I spoke the the owner regarding the perceived shakedown and the owner at that time attempted to hold my furniture hostage.

This was by far the WORSE customer service ever. I will not be referring anyone I know to these guys. In addition I have filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the American Moving and Storage Association. The adage "Buyer Beware" was definitely our experience
