Clemmer Moving & Storage

Clemmer arranged our move from New Jersey to Virginia. Joe personally came to our home to inventory our things, which was very important to us. (I wouldn't trust a phone or computer inventory.) Jose managed the loading and loading. The crew was professional and knowledgeable at both locations. We had absolutely no damages. I highly recommend Clemmer.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value Strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND! Not a good business, find an alternative. Bait and switch pricing and insurance tactics. If you do decide to use, read all the fine print to a tee, protect your items in the move. Again, would never recommend to anyone needing a move!

Clemmer moved us from NJ to TN last week and could not have done a better job. The crews on both ends were top-notch - careful, patient, thorough. The driver was truly exceptional - he oversaw the entire project and kept it running smoothly and efficiently from start to finish. Everyone involved had a great attitude. And all this for a substantially lower cost than a competing moving company bid. Great job guys! Keep up the good work!

Movers were very unprofessional seemed to be random guys off the street, not professional movers. They destroyed my floors and stairs at my new construction home and dented my dryer. When I put in a claim I was told they would not cover my floors nor stairs and they'd only give me $90 for my dryer. What's the point in paying for insurance they won't allow you to use?

Extremely disappointed and would not recommend Update In response to the owners post - there were no good faith offers made to accommodate for the floors. That was 100% lie. I've posted the response to this post. No I wasn't there when the job was completed but I was there prior to that and if it makes Clemmers feel better I'll have my husband post as well.

While the workers were pleasant that packed up our 3,000 sq ft home in October 2021, the boxes were not numbered, the inventory list of items in each box was illegible, and we had not way of knowing if they truly delivered all our boxes on delivery day. Also, we found boxes that had so much paper in them and one tiny or one small unbreakable item!

We were charged so much for boxes and paper we did not need. That is their way of increasing the weight and charging for more boxes. We are still to this day, almost 2 months later, searching for some items. The workers also did not show up on time on loading day and arrived 2 hours late with the truck. The driver was very inexperienced and could not back the very large truck into our driveway (which was HUGE, so that was not the issue).

They then took a 1 1/2 hour lunch break, the foreman had no clue where they disappeared to, and this delayed us into the evening until all was loaded. The driver then got the truck STUCK in our yard trying to back out of the driveway. *It was very heavy so that is why you back in when the truck is empty so you can simply pull forward once the truck is full.

The yard was damaged so much that Clemmer Moving now has to pay for landscapers to repair the yard. We are very disappointed. The manager, Amy will not bend and refuses offer any credit for the hassles and issues we had. If you hire this company: WATCH THE WORKERS EVERY MOVE, DIRECT THEM ALL DAY LONG, AND DO NOT LET THEM PACK WITHOUT YOUR SUPERVISION.

And if you are lucky and Amy or anyone calls you from the company to ask how your delivery went, be sure to voice ALL concerns at that very moment as they will not return emails or calls after the fact. What a rip off.

We used Clemmer for moving back in November 2020. Our two movers were on-time and extremely professional. We had young kids running around the house and Clemmer personnel worked safely around them and never got frustrated if they happened to get in the way. We were also pleasantly surprised that our bill was less than what we were quoted. We knew we moved some items we weren't intending to, yet Clemmer took that into account and charged us a lower price. Clemmer also arrived at our new house on time and everything they moved remained in good condition. They were top-notch.

This company was a disaster. I would rate them lower than 1 star if I could. We have moved cross-county 4 times. I wouldn't recommend this company for a move next door! This move was by far the worst in terms of damage to our belongings! We moved from Bucks Co. to Greensboro, GA. with 10 months of storage in their Telford warehouse in-between.

I questioned the initial driver on why our furniture wasn't being protected/padded better. His response was will take care of that as we off-load it into our warehouse which was only 20 miles away. That never happened! We had 443 moving tags and of these, we filed insurance claims on 57. Just about every piece of furniture we moved received some level of damage.

The damage was so severe that the driver who delivered our possessions took pictures of the damage before they even began to unload the trailer. The driver said it looked like our stuff was just thrown in the trailer and there was limited padding placed on our furniture. Where there wasn't padding, there was damage. Our bedroom suite was heavily damaged. the headboard was broken in half!

Our two dressers, two night stands and armoire was severely marred. My son's bedroom furniture suffered significant water damage and had to be replaced, I could go on and on. It took the furniture restoration company over four days to repair what they could, which was only about half of our claim. The remainder was a total loss. Before I filed an insurance claim I reached out to Clemmer to inform them of the damage and they were very indifferent. All they said was just file a claim! If you care about your belongings you should avoid this company at all cost!

I was nervous about hiring movers because every company I looked at had such mixed online reviews! But I eventually went with Allied/Clemmer and had a good experience. They were not cheap, but they were able to guarantee me a specific move date, showed up on time and tagged every single box and item I was moving, and then delivered it safe and sound to my new home within the agreed upon window. I would recommend them to others moving long distance.

Don't do it! We used this company for a move and storage. Using this company was an awful experience. They made multiple mistakes (mislabeling the vaults, multi days late, broken metal kitchen table, missing items), but worst of all was the way they handled the mistakes (lying, denying, shuffling you too multiple people, holding items until payment) I have never written a bad review for any company.

I understand mistakes can happen but once they started lying, minimizing, and denying things, it was a must to let everyone know that this is not a company you want your hard earned money going to, as they have little to no respect for the clients.

The good: Actual moving guys were decent, hard-working guys. VERY sloppy, leaving trash at both the old home and the new home, and damaging BOTH houses as well. But that might've been OK, if the people in the OFFICE -- including the owner -- were at all competent or honest. They were neither. They have a cute system, where they deliberately underestimate the move, then PRESTO! overcharge you in order to complete the job.

I mean they underestimated our house move by 50%. It wasn't close. The owner came to our house, looked things over for 10 minutes, and estimated 8000 pounds. Then we rented a giant dumpster for a week, FILLED IT, and somehow we wound up 12000 pounds to be moved. What?!?!?! They only sent an 8000 pound truck, of course, so they had to come back AGAIN two days later, and at OUR expense.

They charged US because of THEIR incompetence -- and of course, the office people refuse to talk on the phone, address our complaints, or give a crap about their customers at all. STAY AWAY FROM CLEMMER. Far away.

If I could give this company and negative amount of stars I would. One of the movers punched a large hole through the drywall. Then when they moved a piece of furniture, they gouged another hole in the drywall. At our new home, they got huge gouges on the wood frame of our garage door. Also, at the new house, they dented the wall. The movers touched their sweaty bodies to our sofa leaving disgusting stains.

One of the temporary movers was on the phone the whole day. They put clearly labeled boxes in the wrong rooms Finally, and most disturbing, they couldn't fit everything in the truck so they needed to move again two days later AND THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO CHARGE US FOR THE EXTRA MOVE. When I told them that we weren't going to pay the extra fee, they said they would send us claim forms for the extensive damage.

When I spoke to the manager, he was extremely rude and stand-offish. The operation manager was down right hostile. Please do not hire this company- you will be sorry if you do.

When they packed my belongings they just threw things in boxes and a lot of things broke. They are very expensive if you store your belongings with them. When they delivered my belongings they forgot a lot of things and could not find them in their warehouse. I had to wait two days for them to deliver essential pieces of furniture: two boxsprings, TV stand/fireplace, kitchen table, bureau, two lamps, and numerous boxes of kitchen supplies and other things.

I would not recommend them. When I called to ask when the rest of my things will be delivered they said they could not find them and will get back to me. They are absolutely awful with customer service. I have moved many times and they are the worst I have ever dealt with.

Excellent movers- clear instructions ahead of time. Moving day was on time and professionally done- helpful and positive- three great workers! Two drove to our new out of state and did the unload- KUDOs to Andrew and Albert- they were a great team at the unload - took care with everything, worked steadily and with a smile and positive attitude. Our move included wood working and printmaking/art equipment. We felt very supported in our move into retirement. What a transition.: Thank you!

Zero stars if it were possible. We used Clemmer for packing, storage and moving to a new constructio home. There was extensive damage to walls, doorways and furniture. The mover that delivered the furniture with his crew filled out a claim and saw the damage and said he would submit it that day. That was just the initial damage to home. Needless to say he never submitted the claim.

Now they are not taking responsibility. It gets worse from there, as we unpacked there was furniture damaged beyond repair again Clemmer not taking responsibility. We originally went with the pricier mover thinking you get what you pay for not the case be warned. The last part was the horrendous customer service provided from Paula Sadler who might be the rudest and dismissive individual I've had the misfortune to Ideal with. I've been in customer service myself and was appalled.

Do you research and look elsewhere! In case you don't recognize the last name and try to say you have never done business with me, This is Frances Bowman's daughter a 75 year old woman you took advantage of. Seems like you guys never seem to get the claims bizarre.

I ordered a very large and heavy item that was to be delivered to my home. Clemmer Moving and Storage was contracted by the company that I ordered the item from to deliver it to my home. The driver Luke and his helper were very courteous, careful and professional. With the size and weight of the item, there was no way that we could have moved this on our own. Luke and his helper went out of their way and took the extra time to make sure that the item was delivered safely and placed in the appropriate location. I will definitely use this company again in the future!

Clemmer was contracted by our vendor to deliver our new sauna to our vacation home in the Poconos. Luke & Matt arrived on time, with a willingness to help. Their professional expertise & accommodating demeanor was clear & apparent. Although they knew it would be a challenge, the guys placed the tub, with the utmost care, exactly where we requested! Clemmer moving employees were kind and professional. They contracted with. Driver who was extremely pleasant, well-mannered and efficient. The gentleman that packed the truck in Pennsylvania and unloaded in Florida were also very hard workers, careful with the furniture and pleasant to work with. The whole experience was terrific! I highly recommend Clemmer moving for interstate moves!

If I could rate this company 0 stars I would gladly do so. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company - they refused to wear PPE and maintain safety in my home during the move while in COVID conditions, broke numerous items that I paid them to pack due to their lack of care, required us to pay extra for an additional person that complained the entire time, nearly broke several larger items due to carelessness while unloading the truck and required that we pay extra money for their midway Wawa run. I have only had positive experiences with movers in the past but can not recommend that you find another mover enough.

They had our furniture and HELD IT HOSTAGE while they increased the their fee. We made sure we had a total bill before using them. No surprises. Boy were were surprised Then they said they did not calculate the distance correctly, even though they had the address and added 581.00 to the bill and said we would not get our furniture if we did not pay. Then they told us they needed a van to get down the drive while they could get the truck in and they increased the price another $1200.00 DO NOT use these people

Don't even read further. Save yourself a lot of grief. If you want snarky, complaining, unable to follow directions, cheating, holier than thou workers, who break, damage and lose your belongings, try these guys. Pay more, get less.

Packing of our belongings was relatively smooth. The moving staff was professional and courteous. However, upon arrival at our new home, we were informed that the crew did not have the appropriate equipment to locate our safe in its permanent location despite this being clearly called out in our contract and clearly communicated by us at the time that our estimate was performed.

At almost one month out from our original move date, Clemmer has yet to schedule a time to relocate our safe to its intended destination in our new home. We also experienced damage to our walls and door jam as part of the move into the new home along with damages to our belongings. I would not recommend them.

Don't be fooled by this company isHired this Company a few months ago to relocate our office. The only thing they did correctly was to show up! And that was an hour late Broken furniture, stolen tools, lost inventory, and they lied about the price. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM

We had an excellent experience! Pete, Zac and Erik were on-time, hard-working, pleasant and extremely professional. Most importantly-they were careful with all of our boxes/furniture as well as our walls/ floors etc in our home. They went above and beyond and I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to family/friends!

These guys were great. The quote was right on the button. They packed and moved my belongings like they were their own. Scott, Edgar and Eric were great. Funny, easy going and professional. It set my mind at ease and my move went off without a hitch. I hope to never move again, but if I do, I would use these guys. Highly recommend.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have moved 9 times over the past 20 yrs. This is, BY FAR, the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company! We paid this company $26,000 to move our belongings from PA to CO. Ryan V. Told us we would need 1 truck. We were also told the packers would take 2 days to pack everything and 1-2 days to load the truck.

The packers came 2 days, left many things behind, and left. I was opening drawers and cabinets and finding things left. The truck came the third day, filled a quarter of the way with someone else's belongings. There was not enough room for our belongings and they had to locate another truck to finish loading our household. This delayed our move by a day. Clemmer moving left our house with our belongings two weeks ago.

We still don't have all of our belongings. We are missing 30% of our household. When we called Gene Gahman, who is supposed to be coordinating this, we were given the run around. Today when I called to talk to Gene, Paula got on the phone and told me, "You can call every day if you want. We can do nothing." Yes, I should've done my homework.

I thought I had but this site was overlooked for some reason. And we are paying for it now. Please don't make the same mistake we made. When you pay a company to make a cross country move a little smoother, they shouldn't make it MORE DIFFICULT! I WOULD HAVE GIVEN CLEMMER MOVING NO STARS BUT I WASN'T ABLE TO POST THE REVIEW WITHOUT AT LEAST ONE STAR. They deserve "0" stars! FOUR WEEKS and we still don't have our belongings!

Unbelievable horrible customer service and they could not stop lying even when directly confronted with said lies. First off Tyler canceled 2 deliveries with never notifying me. Apparently the customer is required to contact them to find out what is happening. That would be bad normally but hold on cause it gets worse. When you leave a message, you will get no return calls.

The only way to get a hold of Tyler is to contact the operator and then have them put him on the phone for you. Finally I get a "guarantied" 8 AM first delivery time and date after some formal complaints come in they show up 2 hours late, and when talking with the drivers, I was scheduled delivery number 2 and on their tracking I wasn't sheet I wasn't scheduled till 10.

I could not in any good consciousness recommend this company for delivery service. Only slight saving grace is that after talking with the regional manager: Paula, she actually was telling me some truth and location and expected time for the truck, which was appreciated, but at that point the damage was done.

I would HIGHLY recommend this company! I had originally gone with a competitor- Two Men and a Truck who was charging me less. On the day of our move (large 3 bedroom move) the Two Men told us that they would need to DOUBLE the price! My husband and I didnt know what to do. Clemmer came to the rescue! They were professional, charged an appropriate price, and was careful with every single item we had!

They really felt like family taking care of our items! Thank you Clemmer. If we ever move again, you will be the #1 call! I will also continue to tell all of my friends and family how awesome you are too! Don't fall for competitors scams, Clemmer is the ONLY moving company you will ever need!

Horrible experience. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! When holding our property in storage we noticed a $15,000 piece was destroyed with water damage that is NOT covered by insurance. After 3 months we settled for less than $1000 for that piece as we were tired of dealing with them, overall a claim for over $25k in damage we settled for less then 5k. That was just 1 of about 15 damaged pieces damaged by bad packing lazy handling, nor to mention floor scratches and wall dents to a new house. If you have any items of value do NOT use this company.

Let me just update my review - this is NOT a fabrication. I was so excited for the delivery of my new couch that I didn't leave my house all day - not even to take my dogs out to go to the bathroom. I have already asked for a copy of my phone records from Sprint. I suggest you ask your driver to do the same. I bet you he says no. I would also appreciate it if you asked the driver to describe the outside of my house for me.

If he had knocked on my door. or even pulled down the street with the truck. I would have heard it. My walls and windows are paper thin and facing the street. you can hear full conversations from people outside on the street. My dogs would have heard it as well. They bark at every little noise they hear and they hear everything. I returned the couch because I was told you could do a Saturday delivery, but not for another 3 weeks.

Completely unacceptable. I already ordered a new couch and got it delivered on Sunday. I didn't even get a call from the new company - you know how I knew they were at my house? I heard them outside before they even knocked on my door. I'm not saying that everyone at the company is lazy. but the guys hired to deliver my couch on Wednesday were.

And if you actually looked into the situation and got some evidence which I am willing to provide, you would see that your driver IS lying. Again, I ask you to have him describe my house - because I know 100% he never showed. My only guess as to why he would do something like this is because I live on a tiny side street that he decided he didn't want to deal with. Lazy and unprofessional.

I was looking for a mover for a relatively short distance move in July. I had been emailing with Veronica, and she sent me an inventory form to fill out for an estimate. I sent it back right away, but I never heard back about the estimate. I called and left a message. After a week, I called them again. The lady who answered the phone was very professional, and promised to get things sorted out right away.

She asked me who I had been communicating with, and I told her it was Veronica. She was apparently on lunch, so I was promised my message would get passed on. They never called me back. I feel that I gave them more than a fair chance. I was left trying to find a last-minute mover, which is very hard in the summer. I guess they really didn't want my business?

I have used this company for the lkast year shipping commerical products from Detroit adn LA to Atlanta and from Atlanta to St. Louis. They have always been on time with pickup and delivery. Mary is my rep and she quickly responds to all emails and very precise. I will continue to use them for my business moves.
