Critical: Professionalism I saw them run over a barrier to enter and fully block the one safe bike route that I need to take to get to work, and stay there loading for a while. There was a large open loading zone ~50' away, but they were not willing to move. This is illegal, unusual, and definitely not professional for a business based in a major city.

Best move ever! Cannot recommend Chris and his outstanding team enough. We moved from NYC to NJ last week and we're already mostly unpacked and organized thanks to their exceptional system. Let that sink in for a minute! 10 guys showed up at 7am sharp. Everything in our 1200 sq ft apartment was wrapped, boxed and loaded onto 2 trucks by 11am.

We didn't have to lift a finger. In fact, we left! The team was at our new home by noon unloading everything. I showed Tony, the team leader, my vision for where everything was to go. He had a photographic memory for my furniture, and knew exactly what I meant as I was describing each piece. All was in place by 3pm. For me, the real test of character is when something goes wrong.

As I was completing the walk through, I noticed that our new credenza was minorly damaged along one side. Nothing major, but definitely damaged. I personally saw this piece all wrapped up, so I'm not sure how it happened - it certainly wasn't for lack of carefulness on their part! But hey, it's a move - these things happen! I reluctantly mentioned this to Tony, and he not have been more graceful.

He called Chris, the company owner, who instructed them to take the piece with them to get repaired. Back on the truck it went, and it's currently being repaired by someone who also does restoration work for Christy's auction house. They will deliver the piece back to us once it's looking like new. Talk about service! Don't hesitate. Book these guys. This was the best way to kick things off in our new home. You won't regret it!

Critical: Quality, Responsiveness, Value On top of the fact that many items (art, dresses) were stolen during the move or while in storage or just lost, they insisted that we owed them ~4K more than the mutually agreed upon upfront estimate (reviewed and discussed in-person and by email).

If I could give them 10 stars I would! We have moved all over the country and within New York City. R-Way are BY FAR the very best movers we have EVER had. Ever. They have been in business for decades - a family company who stand by their word, are responsive and dedicated, and are some of the nicest people you could ever hope to work with. A dear friend recommended them to us, and Chris Rooney (the owner) came personally to our apartment to give us an estimate.

On moving day, they showed up EARLY, moved us within Manhattan from one high rise building to another, in about 4 hours total. Nothing broken. Nothing lost. None of our wood furniture even slightly scratched. They even packed up our perishable food in the fridge and freezer, and we had it al unpacked in the new space as if it had been there the whole time. Incredible. I cannot recommend them more highly!

We contacted R-Way Movers after we read several glowing reviews about them on various online forums. We were so happy that we did. It was a stress free move from start to finish. To begin Chris was the only mover who inspected our apartment before providing an estimate. We're skeptical of online quotes. He broke down the costs in very precise terms and explained that they would refund a portion of the packing charge for any boxes that we packed ourselves.

They provided the boxes the following week which gave us plenty of time to pack. On the day of the move they arrived ON TIME with a crew of 10+ people! As Chris explained to us moving is all about manpower. With Chris coordinating everyone's efforts it was an extremely efficient process. Within the first hour the first truck was packed and ready to go.

By 11:30 am they were done packing and loading all of our stuff, and we were on the road. At the new house Chris brought in an extra crew who had just completed a nearby job, because he thought they were behind schedule (trust us they were not). They were done by 2 pm. Surprisingly what really impressed us was not the speed of the move. It was care with which Chris and his team handled our stuff.

For example, in our new home Chris had all of his team members remove their shoes and put on booties to protect our newly refinished hardwood floors. As Chris explained it you can do everything correct but if you scuff the floor on the way out that is what the customer remembers. We were beyond satisfied with R Way, and we would highly recommend them to anyone.

Their level of professionalism and customer care is unmatched, and it was an absolute pleasure working with Chris. He is a perfectionist, and you see it with his work. We wish all of our contractors were like R Way.

Not sure why they have 4.5 stars. If it was possible to give 10 I would have. Proficient doesn't even begin to explain this company. Chris and his team were professional, effective and efficient. They were early and ahead of schedule throughout the process. The guys on the team were genuinely polite and excited to help us move. Sounds silly but in this day in age you don't find that anymore.

They made leaving our old home easy and stress free. We left with positivity. Handle with care does even quantify how they dealt with our stuff. They treated it like it was they own heirloom. The team was beyond pleasant to work with. I can't recall everyones names but Chris and Tony took care of us and they surpassed any expectations. They set the bar across the board.

I am very upset last year I moved to Manhattan R1way moving company employees were so helpful gentle and safe with all my stuff got everything to and from where I had to go perfectly but I'm very mad because the owner told me to put the money I want to tip all the employees into my payment and I left a substantial tip for the great Staff and I ran into one of the employees and was told they didn't get a single dollar unbelievable terrible place don't trust the owner!

We have moved three times and this was by far the best experience we have had. The team came on time and were very efficient They were helpful got us out of one place and into another in a matter of hours we were thrilled!

I will never ever hire another moving company in my life as long as R way is in business. They are the absolute best. Neil and his crew did an absolutely phenomenal job moving me from our second floor apartment into a 4 story house. The care they put into my furniture was simply astonishing. Everything was wrapped and covered and the entire crew was such nice guys.

Thank you Chris Rooney, Neil and all the guys for your amazing hard work. Also after the move the owner Chris gave me a call to make sure everything was well and to thank me for my business. That's great business right there. Already recommended them to two people I know who are moving soon.

What a pleasure to have these guys move me. Went from Manhattan to Connecticut and all in one day. Great clean cut guys led by manager Neil who was a true gem. Would've given them a five star rating except for one thing I learned a few weeks later at a wedding. My son just so happened to be roommates with one of the part time workers at rway and to my disbelief after tipping generously to the owner Chris to be spread amongst the workers I came to find out by my son's friend that he keeps it.

I was completely upset because these guys really deserved it for there flawless work. I now see why Chris kicked them all out when it was time to square off as he promised me that by giving him the rip it would be equally shared. NOTE TO ALL WHO IN FUTURE if you are happy with the service which I'm sure you will be, make sure you tip the guys individually because giving to Chris will be a loss cause and will go only in his pocket. Other then that I highly recommend this company!

Highly recommend R-Way Moving. I have used them for two separate moves and have been more than satisfied both times. Efficient and professional. And fast! They will help you situate things any way you want and won't leave until you are completely satisfied with how everything is set up. Very trustworthy. You won't be disappointed!

Used R-Way movers for my move in NYC and will definitely be using them again in the future. I scheduled them last minute and they were still able to fit me in. I scheduled them for 9 in the morning (and they showed up early around 8) so I could start packing some of my personal things into boxes. When they came into the apartment at 9, they were quick and very careful about making sure everything was packed without damage.

They were in and out in only an hour!' They also moved me in to my new apartment a few days later and they were very flexible with the timing (they allowed me to adjust from a 9 am to 12pm move) and yet again they were very quick, very professional, and very careful about making sure everything remained in good condition. Great company and excellent movers!

Hands down the most amazing movers ever! I have never seen a more efficient team in my life. Chris and his team are all very down to earth, hardworking, friendly guys. They were on-time and finished early. They packed ALL of our stuff from our one bedroom condo and storage unit, and moved it all into our new townhome taking care to wear booties when on new carpet or our newly stained floors.

If we ever move again, R-Way is the only company we will be calling to move. Of all the money spent on purchasing a new home, renovations, etc. R-Way was hands down the best money spent in this whole project. They make your move look effortless and ensure its stress-free! Thank you guys!

I had to move my stuff, as I sold my house in Maspeth. I wanted to get a HONEST moving company as the one who moved us from Brooklyn were CROOKS and STOLE many boxes! I asked around and a few people told me to give R Way Movers a try as they recommended them.the crew arrived the morning of the move and worked so FAST! it took me days to pack a wall that was filled with boxes from floor to ceiling.the 9 members moved ALL the boxes in 20 MINUTES!

I was shocked and then, they moved to basement and the garage.it was all done within a few hours.the whole crew and chief support guy (Vinny) were all very nice guys.we went to Brooklyn where they unloaded all the stuff. I was very pleased, all my stuff arrived (packed carefully) and in unbroken condition. I do recommend these guys to anyone wanting a GREAT CREW, to move them, that gets the job DONE!

I hired R-way to move us crosstown based on a recommendation from the super of our building. Chris Rooney came to our apartment for an estimate the same day that we called. He came back a couple of weeks later to bring us boxes (no charge). His team showed up at 7 am on the day of our move which turned out to be one of the the rainiest April days ever.

All our furniture was carefully wrapped and delivered to us in perfect condition. These guys were hard-working, careful with our things and a pleasure to be around in spite of the challenging weather. R-way is the company to hire for a stress-free move.

I cannot recommend these guys enough. They are true professionals and are courteous and incredibly helpful. There are a lot of hack movers out there who will promise you the moon and the stars for a couple hundred bucks and then gold brick you the minute they do something extra. Not these guys. They go the extra mile and don't take breaks. Their efficiency is shocking and they will minimize your moving stress. If you are hiring movers, look no further. Chris and his team are by far the best around.

Chris and his amazing team came at 7am, took our crazy kid-stuff filled apartment and boxed it up in no time. I was sitting in my new apartment with all the furniture rebuilt and the whole crew gone by 1pm. Everything was very carefully wrapped and packed. So grateful for their honesty and integrity!

Outstanding professionalism and service. They take amazing care of your items and do the job right. They arrived at my parents house at 6:30am to pick up some miscellaneous items and then headed over to our storage unit. The unit was packed up in a couple hours and then brought down to the UWS. They finished by 1:30. I can't say enough about how wonderful and courteous these guys are. All my conversations with Chris were informative and he was nothing but honest the entire time. I'll never move with anyone else.
