This company moved my mom to assisted living last week. Alex, the owner was very helpful and informative. The crew he sent, Omar, Junior, George and Dario were punctual, thoughtful and careful with mom's belongings. This was a dream team to work with. My mom lived in her house for more than 45 years so this was traumatic for her but everything went off without a hitch thanks to this company.

Being an agent I always like to vet multiple companies more so than as just a client. I've used a few companies in the past but was looking for the best for my personal move. I read the reviews for Lemkau and they were all amazing. Needless to say I scheduled an estimate and that's where I met Don. Don was amazing to work with. He was friendly, honest, relatable, and worked with me far more than any other company I've used in the past to "hold" a few move dates as we weren't sure when we would be closing yet (closed on our sale and purchase the same day so lots of coordinating). Lemkau had great pricing and didn't require a deposit which was surprising to me, but of course a plus! Don was able to match the lowest estimate I got AND ended up hooking me up with an extra truck and man as it was a big move.

The day of the move, the movers and both trucks arrived on time (even earlier to be honest), and started working right away. They truly packed everything in the truck in a strategic "tetris" style fashion so that they could fit the most items in the trucks and secure them without wiggle room to fall/cause any issues. They worked very hard throughout the rain - yes it rained all day - and asked me where I wanted all the furniture and boxes within the rooms that they were labeled for.

I had to leave to do walkthrough on the house we sold, and felt 100% comfortable leaving the guys at the new house to finish the job. Lemkau and the team were excellent throughout the entire process and I would highly recommend them! I've actually already recommended them to two of my clients for their upcoming moves. So if you're looking for the best, I'd say you'll certainly get it with Don & the team at Lemkau! I truly can't recommend Morton Lemkau Moving & Storage highly enough. From the first moment that Don Manchester came to walk through and estimate our job, until the last box was unpacked and every piece of furniture put into place, they were phenomenal. We had a 2 day move due to some unusual timing circumstances, so they packed us one day and unpacked us the following day.

They were prompt, courteous, professional and, as I told Don afterwards, treated our furniture as if it was their own. The care they took with wrapping all artwork and special pieces was exemplary. They were also patient-at times we changed our minds about placement of certain pieces and they gladly rearranged items and moved them to other spaces in our new home.

They took a very stressful and emotional situation and made it as smooth as humanly possible. Alex, Don and their entire team are wonderful and it is my pleasure to review them so highly.

We were fortunate to receive a recommendation for Morton Lemkau Moving & Storage as we searched for movers to complete a local move on Long Island. From my first contact to the final box being placed in our new home, the culture of this company was evident. I began the search for a move team in the second half of November. Don Manchester made himself immediately available on the day before Thanksgiving to complete our in-home evaluation for packing and move services.

As their estimate and services offered best fit our needs, we selected them for our move in late January. Along the path to closing and moving, Don was always very responsive to my emails and telephone calls with questions or confirmations. Our move was completed over the course of three days, between packing and move-out/move-in. Each day, the team of 10+ arrived on time, with a very personable and hard working attitude.

They met and exceeded all of our expectations. The communication back and forth from the moment we called them to the last box that was unloaded was prompt and terrific. Our pre move packing crew was so terrific we requested them to do the day of move if possible. The crew were very professional, polite, skillful and had a wonderful can-do attitude, never complained about any of the tasks involved in the move.

We were so pleased with their service that we hired them again the same week to do a mini move that we originally planned to do ourselves. We highly recommend this company without any reservation!

Lemkau moving was one of the most professional, efficient, all-around excellent services I've ever used. Their prices were competitive and the moving crew were fantastic. Everyone of the movers seemed to know how to handle both big and small items and they were incredibly careful to protect the furniture and walls of both houses during the move.
