Warning don't get scammed this place is a huge scam they hold your merchandise give you these late fees of $1200 for a motorcycle on top of the $5200 shipping and then play games for three weeks literally begging to speak to someone the lady who answers the phone is in control of everything there will not let you talk to any of her supervisors or anyone a total bitch once again she was a waste of everyone's time played games and has major self-confidence issue I'm sure she's I don't know what's more uglier her on the outside or her personality Is probably Is worse do not do business with them warning again and again look at all their feedback horrible lies lies lies that's all they can do! My family and I moved from Australia back home to the US. We had a pleasant experience with Schumacher, especially our agent, Arpad, who was professional, responsive and kind throughout the process. Our belongings arrived in good condition and the delivery driver, Keith, was also on time, professional and even helped us carry our mattress upstairs! We hired them to move and they seemed so professional. They boxed our things as well as shipped internationally. We bought a container; they told us when it was full. When the shipment arrived, it was 1/3rd empty; we had a document and drawing of the empty space to show Schumacher, because we had more things that could have travelled. They ignored that and charged us 60% more to finish sending our things.
My custom neon sign was not secured and was shattered, tubs with stored things were not boxed and almost all were cracked and misshapen. They was more than a little damage, they were unprofessional when learning about the problems. Anyone can make mistakes, the true value of the company is in how they resolve them. D-

Very disappointed with their service and will never use them again. I bought a motorcycle from Las Vegas two months ago to have it shipped over to Dubai. Reached out to Schumacher cargo and paid extra to fly the bike over. They claimed it would take two weeks max. Well it's been more than two months now and it's not here yet. I don't think they know how to handle international logistics. Highly UNrecommended!

Ridiculous. We moved from Los Angeles to London. Our shipment was picked up from LA on December 22nd, 2021. We chose them as their pricing was competitive and they offered a delivery time of 14 weeks- similar to competitors. I'm writing this review on May 16, 2022 and our shipment has only reached Panama so far! When reaching out to our agent Jennifer we were told that the ETA of 14 weeks was from when shipment left LA which was March 21st- which was never mentioned to us prior to today.
Until my last conversation a month back the number of weeks was being counted from Dec 22nd. Extremely disappointed. We had used air shipment with another company and glad we did!

Terrible! Moved from Australia to the USA. I had an agreement with storage that they DID NOT follow through on - nor did they bother to communicate they abandon the agreement, customer service was incompetent, and NO ONE would pick up the phone and talk to me even though I asked for someone to call repeatedly. Was demanded I had to detail out exactly when I was available for every hour of the day for 30 days so they could pick a delivery time, then gave me less than 24 hours notice of delivery or incur additional costs.
So unless you know exactly what hours you will be home for the next 30 days, you're out of luck and get ready to pay extra fees! Was actually told in email (because no one will talk to you) "notes add to your profile don't really mean nothing to us". So anything you request or ask is just ignored. Seriously! Customer service may improve if they decided the information provided by customers meant something.
But it does not and the whole experience reflected their lack of professionalism, service and delivery. And be prepared for hidden fees and extra costs - around $2,000 for my move - while they hold your contents hostage and continue to add-on additional charges. AWFUL. TERRIBLE. STAY AWAY

We hired Schumacher Cargo logistics last October 2021 for moving from San Jose, California to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Despite they provided us with a quote much higher than any other competitor, Their performance was incompetent from the beginning. They sent an estimator to our house to be able to get a very and more accurate quote but they forgot to bring the proper packaging for carrying our very unique and expensive chandelier so they improvise a carton box to carry it and obviously it got damage on transit. Unacceptable Even they committed, and the contact also stated the same, that all the costs associated to clearing customs in Dubai were covered with not extra fees. once the container got to Dubai their local partner were already claiming for extra money before clearing customs.
When they started unpacking all the boxes in Dubai few item were broken but the biggest issue was the amount of stuff missing. The insurance claiming process was tedious and long. On top of everything we were charged for demurrage fees because Schumacher delayed on relishing the paper work to the Dubai local partner. Overall a awful and horrible experience. Stay away

We recently shipped our household goods from northern Wyoming to central France with Schumacher Cargo Logistics. During the midst of the Covid disruption of ordinary life, Schumacher and their European partner Transpack picked up, transported, and delivered our belongings safely to our door. They were excellent at communicating with us at every step of the way, and all of our boxes arrived intact in France. I highly recommend this company.

The international shipping backlog of 2021 cause a long delay, but once it on the ground, Schumacher worked to get it to us as soon as possible. The staff at Schumacher made it easy for me to receive my international shipment. They handed over smoothly from my original shipper (Crown Relocations), clearly identifying their representative and giving me straightforward instructions on what steps I needed to take with respect to customs documentation. After that they were responsive and efficient, providing status updates as soon as they were available. Then on the day of shipment arrival, their moving crew was friendly, professional, and speedy. Horrendous company who turned out to be both liars and extorters. August of 2021 we engaged them to ship all of our possessions when we moved from LA to London. After they failed to get our container on a ship for an entire month, they quietly decided to store it on a chassis in shipping container parking lot without our knowledge or consent at a vast cost.
We had to keep chasing them trying to find our when our container would leave but they were appallingly unresponsive. When the container eventually arrived in the UK, their UK partners, Dorree Bonner informed us that our container would not be released from the port unless we paid an out of contract additional bill for $3,500 that Schumacher had incurred for the storage.
This is in addition to their 'door to door' service costing already costing us $15,000. We messaged them saying the $3.5k bill was theirs to pay not ours but they completely ignored us saying they wouldn't send us our possessions until we paid. Literally extortion. Eventually we took the excruciating decision to pay their unjust bill but they STILL failed to have the container released from the port in time. We eventually received our container in mid-December. Their customer service was appalling and they are frankly criminals profiting from the shipping crisis.

We had a wonderful experience with Schumacher and I highly recommend them. I am so glad we went with them for our international move (from California to New Zealand). Everyone we dealt with was kind, communicative and helpful. As someone who had no idea how the process works and what to expect, I felt like Schumacher explained everything clearly and in a way that was easy for me to understand from start to finish.

You are better off financially starting from scratch as opposed to using this shipping company. They will give you a decent (but pricy) quote, tell you all your items will fit in a specific container (the movers will say so, too), then everything seems great until your items arrive in California where all of a sudden the chaos begins. You will not hear anything from the company for quite some time until they need money- no status updates, nothing.
Out of nowhere you will get a storage fee for thousands of dollars, and the second you pay it, magically a container is available for Shipment and that all of your items suddenly will not fit in the container and that they need to put it in an even BIGGER container for an extra 1,000 dollars. Once you pay that, a random person, (probably the 5th person you've had contact with), will give you an ETA and tell you your stuff has been loaded and it's on its way. WELL guess what, its not.
Then someone else will contact you asking if you sent your car title that you sent to them three months ago (and was told they received), followed by a third storage fee and a new 50-day delay ETA even though you were just told everything was already shipped and sent off. Then, again, you will be bombarded with three new contacts asking the same questions about your missing car title that they misplaced, followed by them NEVER answering your questions.
Your high quote and payment of 15,000 becomes 16,600, then 19,000, then 21,000, and then 23,000. And every time they contact you they want more and more money. They are the absolute most disgusting moving company on the planet, and are trying to monopolise everything by telling you how cheap it will be originally but absolutely never making any attempts to help families relocate.
If you need to move anywhere, start over or find another company because this company is absolute garbage. The disorganisation is unbelievable. Oh, and pack your own stuff in LARGE boxes because they charge per box but won't tell you that- the movers tell you that last minute after you were told by some slimy sales executive not to pack anymore because the movers will do it. My experience echos majority of the reviews on here: 1. They'll under quote you to sign up 2. Charge you additional fees that you have no choice but to pay 3. Will be totally unresponsive and unhelpful 4. Take 4 x as long to ship your stuff then they say they will. I was told 8 weeks and it's been 6 months and I still don't have my stuff. Don't do it, super sketchy company.

Short version: I would not recommend Schumacher Cargo. Longer version: I was told that because of the pandemic the shipment would take 10 to 12 weeks. Turned out to be 6 months. You could argue I should be understanding because of the transport situation, and I am. But I received no updates or communication whatsoever from them. I had to be the one chasing them for updates, without getting even a response. Also, it took 1.5 months for the things to even leave the country. Moreover, when my things got here there were extra boxes that belonged to someone else WITHIN my boxes.
That means that they lost boxes for a customer and it also means someone opened my boxes to put other boxes inside after they left my house. Just sharing in case it helps you make a decision. If you ask me, I would not use them again.

I found Schumacher Cargo to have done an excellent job. At a time of Supply Chain problems, Schumacher's service was fast, efficient, and amiable. They were in contact with by email continuously from the time they took my shipment. Most especially, William the truck driver unloaded my cargo carefully, quickly, and with good humor. Highly recommended!

Both Schumacher in the US and Britannia in the UK were top notch and schumacher got my belongings to me in good time, despite all the transport/ shipping backlog. Everything survived the journey and was amazed, as it came over 3,000 miles and had many delicate objects. No breakages or damp and all my clothes smelled exactly the same as when they were packed!

On top of it Schumacher Mark Neville sales manager is always available when asking for $$$ but invisible and responds to any emails or phone call I highly don't recommend this company for packaging

I engaged Schumacher Cargo to coordinate a shipment for me and my husband to our new place in Tuscany. This review is to give a big thank you to Mark Neville and Kimberly Ortiz of Schumacher. They were both incredibly prompt in responding to my emails. I had a moment of panic when I thought I left my wallet in a box the movers packed up, and Kimberly was INCREDIBLE and responsive through the process of making sure they had the boxes checked before they left the city.
I cannot thank her enough for the patience and professionalism she showed. I was very skeptical about all moving companies because reviews are all over the place, but I can say now with confidence that I was impressed by Kimberly's service.

I waited four years to finally say what i felt about this company because l did not know l could post a review. So if this can help just one person tomorrow from making the mistake l made then it will have done some good. l had this company collect my shipping from Odessa Texas to London. what a complete joke. Not only did my things get rummaged through and stolen l Never saw many of my personal items again.
I sadly packed in the cardboard boxes, had l been told to place it in solid non permeable lockable barrels l would definitely had done so. I was charged more than l was originally quoted and to add insult to injury they only gave one week to come and tell them if you noticed anything missing. It should have been at minimum a month because when you move your entire life, home, and contents across the world it takes more than a week to notice anything that goes missing. Let's just say if l found myself in a similar position as l did in 2016 I would never use another dishonest company ever again. Good luck to whoever finds and read this. Do yourself a favour and know you get what you pay for when you use people like these.

Was I fortunate to have contacted with Schumacher to move my academic library from Illinois to Spain! They were fantastic - professional, responsive, helpful, patient and managed the whole process with minimal stress on me! Sent my car to Spain. Months to get a reply, very efficient to get the money not so good at responding emails or calls as it goes directly to a voicemail. After 3 months without response and the car not even leaving the country I wanted to cancel the shipping to take it to other shipping company. Then they said I have to pay like 50 usd a day, basically 1500 usd to get my car back and no service.
So I left the car as lost as I'm not paying any money to Schumacher scammers. To this day I have monthly invoices for a car that I don't own anymore and a bill to this date august 2021 of 45000 usd. Car was supposed to be sent on 2018. The car was sent to somewhere else as I have a photo of the car being towed on a Florida highway but this people keeps sending monthly invoices. Schumacher was absolutely perfect in shipping my household goods to Australia. From Mark Neville who kind of held my hand through the whole process and Kimberlee who promptly responded to my last minute panic emails. It all happened exactly as they described.,.from the pick up in Santa Cruz to the delivery in Melbourne. I cannot recommend them highly enough. In the end, our boxes made it and nothing was damaged along the way and that's all that we could have asked for and more. It was difficult getting our belongings to us and there was a lack of communication throughout. We were quoted 6-12 weeks (closer to the 12 week side due to COVID) from the company in the UK that we shipped outbound with. It took four whole months to get our belongings.
By the end we had to keep calling Shumacher because they kept telling us they would get back to us and they were not. They started getting fed up with us hunting down our belongings because they could not understand why we kept calling and pushing for someone to get back in contact with us when they weren't communicating with us. No one cares about your belongings more than you.
I know that our belongings were held up in customs for awhile but I know that they were also held up in their storage warehouse too and they weren't getting back to us. Chris, the one in charge of our delivery was very responsive and helpful and happy to answer any and all questions or concerns we had about delivery. And we are so thankful for Chris and glad everything showed up on the morning of the scheduled delivery.
I probably would not use an overseas shipment company again because you have no control over your belongings once they're handed off. I'm giving 4 stars because, like I say, our items finally made it safe and sound but it was really stressful along the way. I would have rather been quoted 4+ months (16 weeks approximately) on the longer end than be told 12 weeks and have to worry about my belongings never arriving since that's what a lot of the reviews here say.

Working with Schumacher to get my beautiful, 1970s vintage chairs from Paris to New York was a dream. In the age of COVID, when there are a million delays, things coming damaged, lost etc, these guys went above and beyond. They contacted me on a Tuesday and all of my chairs were delivered on a Thursday, and ON TIME! The window was 9 to 11, they came at 9 am sharp.
The two deliver guys were incredibly thoughtful, polite and speedy. They carted all of the garbage away without me even asking. Their head of coordination was so responsive, I honestly couldn't believe I was dealing with a logistics company this efficient. I would strongly recommend Schumacher for any international shipments. Highly professional, efficient, communicative and most importantly thoughtful.

Avoid these people at all costs. I moved from the US to Germany, and had a horrible and expensive experience. The only time they were responsive is at the beginning, when pestering me to sign a contract for more than $10K. I chose to go with them on the advice of some friends who used them a few years ago. What a difference a few years makes. I paid for a full service move, "including all agent's fees".
I was still charged by their german partner, ITO, who are so clueless that they don't even know what form to ask for for customs. In order to get my stuff, I had to pay additional agent fees for customs clearance. These people will take your money, and never respond to you. You have to know what to ask for, and when to push for it. They will give you nothing, and their international partners are incompetent. They will cause you a great deal of stress at a very high price. They are terrible.

In order to get my stuff, I had to pay additional agent fees for customs clearance. These people will take your money, and never respond to you. You have to know what to ask for, and when to push for it. They will give you nothing, and their international partners are incompetent. They will cause you a great deal of stress at a very high price. They are terrible.

I just want to personally say a big THANK YOU to Chuck at the Gardena receiving terminal. Chuck, You were so friendly, and really made me feel reassured that my car will ship safely. He was so attentive and genuinely kind. I have a silver Jeep Patriot that's shipping off to holland for the first time, and being only 22 I was a bit nervous with this shipment. Chuck changed all of that, and although I'm working with my sales person Kevin, who is awesome as wellI.

Schumacher Cargo has a lovely customer service experience, until you pay for the services - upon which communicated timelines were a "misunderstanding" and then the new (twice as long) timelines are not met either. I've been waiting for my car to be shipped to Europe for 11 weeks and counting, with no shipment even being scheduled. All along which I'm paying for a rental car. It was a mistake buying into Schumacher Cargo's deceptively polished and trustworthy appearance. Would not recommend.

We had the worst experience with this company on our international move. I'm rating 2 stars because we did receive our items. The Good: Our items were received by us in only about 8 weeks (after they actually shipped), during the pandemic My sentimental art was protected by the crate I paid extra for Moving crew on both ends (John Ryan Removals in Aus), was lovely I lost trust and asked for photos of my items and these were provided timely We needed to re-organize some airmail items and this service was done for us as a courtesy which was helpful.
The Mediocre: My sentimental art wasn't mentioned to the arrivals crew to be careful and I had to save it from their unpacking destruction. They are supposedly professional packers/movers but they did not pack my high-end purses with due care and 2 of them were permanently squashed. The Downright Shit: No apology for the horrible s*** storm they created for our family.
Our coordinator was a passive aggressive monster. I can only say that she was so cold and unempathetic that I was scared to address her with questions. She would send dissmissive, bitchy replies to my emails over this major move. She had no sympathy for the situation of the customer. Phone calls were as cold as ice. She frequently dismissed our concerns, though I sensed we needed more input from Schumacher.
This led to disastrous consequences. Our move was grossly under-estimated (I want to say this is because we didn't get the attention to our questions, not because of any on-site error. They never came to look and I'm sure in person, they're very accurate.) On move day (one day before we were due to fly to Australia with our children), the moving crew was horrified to discover they were expected to move us in even one day, though they'd been scheduled for only 3 hours.
On our second move day the movers didn't show up until 9:30am. It was a new crew. I was shaking with stress. This was the day we are to hand over our keys and fly off with our family. Our coordinator told us not to worry, we would not be charged double the original quote, but in fact it was almost triple. God she sucks. We had to reschedule the cleaners 4 times that day.
They were working right up to the minute we walked out the door. Imagine doing this with twins. Packing, cleaning, panicking. We planned to clean, and leave and say goodbye to our friends and get to the airport with plenty of time. Not the heartbreaking mad scramble that Schumacher caused. Neither the coordinator nor our estimator apologized. I asked never to have to hear from or write to her again and he committed to that, but in a final F-you, of course, he dropped out of emails and left it to her.
My relief when it was finally in the hands of another moving company here in Aus, was total. I want to say, nothing I write can express the difficulties and stress they put us through. Not to mention the expense. We would have never brought all our things if she had taken the time to hear out our concerns instead of dismissing us. Even in our Zoom talk from quarantine, with our estimator, I could sense the buck-passing and no clear apology was provided on behalf of Schumacher.
We are a down to earth and reasonable family who were treated badly. Very little sympathy and professionalism, no empathy or understanding. The only good thing they did was wrangle us a place on a ship after our items didn't originally leave on schedule. I never want to think about this again.

Victor, Juan & Ryan, thank you for making our move smooth, easy and fast! The team was on time, not a minute late! They finished packing our belongings in no time. They were extremely professional, had their masks on all the time and I would highly recommend hiring them for moving. Everything was Muy bien! Update - Thanks for the follow up. I did contact my shipper as recommended. I have in writing that we do not owe a long carry fee from them and written correspondence where they informed Schumacher it should not be charged. Note, the overcharge for container volume was also never credited despite agreement from Schumacher and proof submitted of the volume. Attached is a copy (with names redacted)
