We moved the contents of our 2600sq ft home across multiple state lines into a 1300sq ft apartment and 2 storage rooms. It took us 7 months for us to find and move into our new house. Needless to say, we were very anxious about the condition of our belongings as we saw them getting loaded into a very full van. We had nothing to worry about. As we unpacked our house goods we were pleasantly surprised by how good everything still looked.
We had used North Dallas Moving and Storage packing services and they did an outstanding job. NOTHING was broken. The guys that loaded the truck really exercised care and consideration in how our belongings were loaded. I have to admit that initially I was more than a little bit worried that they were packing my furniture in too tightly, but they knew what they were doing, my furniture arrived in great shape. Overall, we are thrilled with the way everything has worked out! A special Five Stars shout out to the packers, loaders, and Carl the driver!

After moving 8x in 15 years this was the first non-corporate move and I moved from TX to TN. We paid over $25,000 in total for them to pack, store and then deliver our household goods. Unfortunately, the price was not justified b/c this move was a complete debacle and the worst moving experiences ever. I told them that I had 4 straight weeks of work travel starting on 9/5, so they said in order to guarantee delivery by 9/3 it cost an extra $1,200.
There was no communication initiated with me at all leading up to delivery so I called right before my 2-week delivery window was told they would deliver on 9/3. I called to confirm on 9/2 and was told that a driver passed away 10 days prior and thus could deliver until 9/5. I rescheduled my flight to later in the evening after they said it would take 3-4 hours to unload.
After no contact again I called the driver the night before and she told me was 20 min away at a rest stop and would be at the house by 7am. She showed up 2 hours late and didn't finish until 3:45am. There numerous issues: Packing: Poorly labeled boxes. (Ex. multiple boxes labeled Kitchen that were from the attic and many other random ones mislabeled) Curtains crumpled up in bottom of boxes. Sheets and towels were wrapped around a toilet scrubber. Markers, pens, pencils, etc. were thrown loose in with our clothing Dyson vacuum left loose and ended up cracked Heavy items packed with fragile items Delivery: crew was constantly complaining about how heavy the boxes were and where they had to bring them Crew dropped boxes wherever despite labeled room on the box or direction.
Crew members were under the influence as they were outside smoking often and would return with their eyes half shut, blood shot and glassy. We found empty alcohol bottles thrown in the grass where they parked. Crew was fighting over who was working harder and most were on the phone constanly throughout the day including when they were pushing the boxes on the dolly.
When asked to move a box to the basement, one said, "Ah hell no I aint moving that downstairs. Do it yourself!" Despite requests to assemble out 4 children's bed right away they didn't start until 1am. At 1am 2 people refused to help b/c they "had to leave", but then sat outside on their phones for 45 min and then inside for another 45 min withouth doing anything before they left.
Multiple items were left unassembled or not in working order including: o Mechanical bed that was left with the feet raised to the highest level after they incorrectly hooked it up. o Desks without the legs attached o Basketball hoop unassembled o No handles on the refrigerator o Outside table with one leg left unattached I sent an email over to North Dallas Moving and Storage right away listing all of these things and the response I received told me to call an 800 number and file a claim with the corporate office.
There was zero acknowledgment of how unprofessional their employees were nor an apology for anything from the lack of communication to the poor packing or horrible delivery experience. After going back and forth with the corporate office for several weeks they refused to acknowledge responsibility for the horrible scheduling and delivery experience, but finally reimbursed me the $1,200 for the guaranteed delivery window because they said I should never have been charged extra for a specific delivery date anyway.
This means that instead of them trying to work with me around my deadline, they took advantage of me knowing. I even out to the president of the company via email and phone and he never responded back to me. We submitted a claim for over $5,000 in damages. A company was dispatched to our home to verify the damages within a week of our submission. The person validating the damages and the values told me that everything looked valid and the values seemed were acceptable. It has not been almost 4 months and we haven't received any communication on the status of our claim except that it is in process.

My husband and I moved last week from Dallas to Austin. After 35 years in the same house, we thought the move would be a nightmare experience. One of the best moves we have experienced. They were flexible with the move as we had to close on our home in Texas and wait for the closing in Florida. Everything went as smooth as can be! Started with Jim the sales rep came over and was able to get the estimate done and answer all my questions, then Rhonda took care of all the details from there keeping in great contact and answering all of my other questions. Nice group of guys moved us out quickly wrapping everything to make sure it was protected and then last had the nicest couple drive thr stuff cross country and get us unloaded into a small storage unit which I was scared was too small but they were able to organize it so everything fit and had it done quick along with some great conversion. All great people from beginning to end!

Rhonda made the move, expense, and experience worth it! We had a unique situation where items had to be stored for 6 weeks while we waited for our home to finish. Throughout the entire move, scheduling, and afterwards Rhonda felt like family and a personal assistant! She was always kind and available. Most businesses, especially post pandemic cannot deliver on customer service the way Rhonda did. Rhonda is why I would choose to North Dallas Moving and storage (again). Sales and movers were friendly, careful, and extremely efficient!

I normally do not post to social media but I felt compelled to do so for this company. Moving is a hard and stressful thing. We relocated from Texas to Colorado, had 11 rooms (including the garage) packed and moved by North Dallas Moving and Storage. We chose North Dallas, in part, because of a fair and reasonable price, but what really sold us was the exceptional customer service.
From Ashley, Bruce and Rhonda who answered our calls, to the outstanding service of our sales representative Jim Karalla keeping us well informed on what to expect and being responsive to all questions we had about the move. Our Coordinator and point of contact, Sheryl Gibson was instrumental for providing up to date information for the location of our belongings and when to expect their arrival. Sheryl responded quickly, efficiently and professionally to any questions we had during the move, and her logistical prowess ensured our belongings arrived in a timely manner. North Dallas Moving had the best crew I've ever had pack and load our household goods! Mr. Mike, Mr. Kenny and Doc were very professional. They were organized, efficient and took great care in handling our items. Communication was on point to ensure everything was in line with what we needed. Very happy with all my contacts at United. Started out with Jim Swan then Rhonda at distribution center to Walter my driver and his assistant Michael to whom delivered my furniture. They all were very professional and clean people representing United. It was expensive but worth the money. Happy I decided to go with them. Would do it again if needed.

They should get zero stars! Beware of N. Dallas Moving and storage! Our move quickly became a nightmare. We bought the high value full coverage insurance and paid to have our expensive marble coffee table crated. Several items were damaged including the crated table. Things happen but this company was rough with our items and extremely unethical in handling the claim.
At first they only wanted to pay the value we paid for the items instead of the replacement value. We had to agree this point more than once. We had bought two very expensive pieces on sale and had to jump through hoops to provide evidence of today's replacement value - even had to contact Italy for our Italian made coffee table. They finally agreed to pay replacement value but would only pay for the marble top and not the complete table.
They returned the base but since this took over 3 months to resolve I had already purchased a new coffee table. Now I have a $700 base that is useless. They should have refunded replacement value for the complete table. Our biggest complaint however is not adhering to their very expensive insurance policy by refusing to cover other high value items that were boxed.
We followed all their rules but they broke a box of Yadros and refused to replace them because we packed the box. In fact our sales person told us to make sure we packed the Yadros and label them high value with replacement value written on the form. We took the time to accurately label and find value for each item which was painstaking and leave the box open as instructed so they could be inspected.
We followed all this to a tee yet refused on the basis that the box wasn't "damaged" and we packed it so we must have not packed things well. We packed all our boxes and no fragile wine glasses were broken but 3 Yadros in one box were severely damaged. We tried to make the agreement that a box can be dropped and contents broken with out major damage to the box but there is no common sense with this company.
To make matters worse they were down right rude and demeaning in their communications. We contemplated filing a suit against them but the numerous dealings back and forth finally wore us down and we wanted to settle on the large pieces. The other issue that is mind blowing is that I tried to contact the owner of the company and never got a single response.
They may be good at selling moves but they will NOT take care of you properly if your items are damaged. I would never use this company especially if you have nice things or collectibles that are difficult or impossible to replace.

DO NOT use this company no matter what. they lost items, REFUSED to pay for their replacement, said I was lying about what was missing, when the very unprofessional Bruce Hines finally agreed to cover my lost items their insurance was an absolute joke. They covered.30 cents for one of my lost items that was over $140?. The second item they covered only $12 of the $150? This company is an embarrassment to the moving community. Extremely unprofessional. Do not use this company.

This company only handled part of my move. While the actual men moving my items from the truck into my home were amazing, management here is extremely poor. Upon putting my items away and examining furniture I found a giant scratch in my hard wood floors. I reached out to management and filed a claim. Ketti Lutz was handling my claim. They ultimately blamed me for not reporting the scratch in time and then offered to send a small kind gesture check which probably wouldn't cover the cost of the repair.
I unfortunately never received my check and when I followed up to ask, haven't gotten a response in 3 weeks. I work in customer service so I know exceptions can always be made in certain situations. I am so disappointed in the service, the follow up, and also that I never even got the check.

Very poor experience. My move was a corporate move meaning that I didn't have to pay the costs of the move. The movers were gorillas who specialized in damaging the walls, stairwells and floors of both the house we moved from and the house we moved it. Boxes were stuffed with excessive amounts of paper. We couldn't help but wonder if it was to inflate the overall size of the household move.
Numerous items were simply lost and lots of damage to furniture. Although the move inventory included two normal size pieces of exercise equipment, the driver and crew refused to move them. The move coordinator later concocted several lies to blame the exercise equipment on us despite it being on the inventory. We had to pay another moving company to remove the equipment from the house. Just overall a bad experience. I wouldn't let them move a dog house again.

I wish I would have read some of the reviews with only one star before agreeing to use this company! If zero stars were possible, that is what they would get from me! If you value your furniture and other personal belongings, DO NOT trust North Dallas Moving & Storage to handle them in any way. We have moved several times and most of our moves were cross country.
Never have we had so many of our things damaged or completely destroyed as we had with this 3-mile local move. We chose NCMS after they were highly recommended. The salesman was very professional and he was from our hometown. He promised that all of our things would be extremely cared for; mattresses were to be wrapped (they were not) but were delivered dirty, door jams were to be protected (they were not).
Crew members were caught drinking on the job. They took alcoholic beverages from a refrigerator located in the garage without asking. Our furniture and belongings were loaded onto a truck and then moved into our new home the following day. As things were being carried in, the damage was very apparent. The washing machine scraped the door jam which had not been protected as promised.
The washing machine sustained damage to the front. A chest of drawers was being carried by only one man who fell on top of it. We were worried about his well-being, not the chest. The crew member was fine, but when the top drawer of the chest was opened the entire chest collapsed like an accordion! All of the frames were either bent or totally broken.
A glass shelf for a bookcase was completely shattered. It was wrapped in a quilt and found hidden a few days later in the new garage. We have 2 full pages of items that arrived with damage. It has been a 3-month fight with this company to do the right thing, which they have refused to do. According to their claims person, we signed a contract saying they would only be responsible for $.60 per pound.
The company agreed with us on the dollar amount of damage, but hiding behind the $.60 per pound limit allowed them to only pay 50%. They said they would fix the items that sustained minimal damage. Our kitchen table is ruined, but that is one of the main items they refuse to fix. We contemplated getting attorneys involved, but felt it would be best to settle and to put this horrible experience behind us.

I was very happy with the moving services provided. Walt and his crew were very careful, prompt, and friendly the whole way in my 325 mile move of 4 bedrooms and 3 living areas of contents. Nothing was damaged. Two pianos, all the furniture, and everything in between all got moved just fine. 5 of 5 stars. Best move ever.

North Dallas Moving made our interstate move a great experience from estimate to pickup and delivery. Andrew Sommer came to my daughter's apartment and gave an accurate estimate in minutes. We did our own box and wardrobe packing, so our pickup driver and his assistants were able to inventory and handle everything quickly and efficiently. They were very friendly and extremely helpful with the several items that required extra padding and/or repackaging.
The cost estimate was spot-on too! Our delivery driver, Aaron, worked by himself and was able to unload and account for all of our pieces quickly and efficiently too. I enjoyed working with all of the movers. I'd like to give a special shout out to Darlene Turner who kept me informed before, during, and after every step of the move. She was always available to answer questions and contacted me regularly with updates.

They moved me. The majority of my belongings made it, most even in one piece. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PAY THESE CROOKS FOR THEIR PACKING SERVICE. If you're looking for your belongings to be thrown in random boxes, be miss-organized mislabeled and very minimally protected. Than be sure to use the rediculously priced service.

Extremely pleased. Dick Abernathy came to our house and gave us a full quote in less than an hour. Their pricing was almost half of what we had expected to pay for a full service move including unpacking. They were also very flexible with us. We were 'homeless' for 4 weeks after our house sold because the house we were building was not ready.
They kept our furniture on a semi-truck for us at a very low cost so we did not have to pay to move everything into storage. Nothing was broken and everything was accounted for. The movers were very respectful and flexible as we made some last minute changes moving things around in the new house. Pay for the unpack! Sheryl the coordinator was great working with us as our closing date on the new house changed 4 different times. Not sure why all the negative reviews because that was definitely not my expeirence!

North Dallas moving and storage is NOT trustworthy, or tenacious. In a long distance move they smashed and ruined many of my antiques as well as my piano. They sent a local furniture repair man to pick up and evaluate these things.he took 4 of the many damaged items, repaired and returned them to my garage! So how am I supposed to move a 500 pound armoire into my home and up 2 flights of stairs.
I have a chair which cannot be sat in, a curio cabinet that doesn't close, scratches and Latinas from sliding boxes on top of three dressers. I THOUGHT THIS A REASONABLE REQUEST FOR AN INTERNATIONAL CO. I WAS TOLD THERE IS NO ONE LIKE THAT. MY PHONE CALLS, LETTERS, AND EMAILS, AS WELL AS A REQUEST ON LINKED IN WERE IGNORED. I PHONED THE BBB THEY DIDNT HAVE A LISTING FOR THIS COMPANY. I PAID over 700 dollars in insurance for this load. The driver asked me to have my things repaired and just send him the bill so he didn't have to face the scrutiny from the company owner.
My total move was close to 10k. I WAS ENCOURAGED BY A FRIEND TO REACH OUT TO THE OWNER. HE IS A THIRD GENERATION OWNER OF NORTH TEXAS MOVING AND STORAGE. NOTHING I WONDER IF HIS GRANDFATHER WOULD HAVE APPRECIATED DOING BUSINESS THIS WAY. BEST ADVICE FOLKS, USE SOMEONE ELSE.

I contracted with North Dallas Moving to move me across town. I have moved over 40 times in my life and overseas 3 times. This move was the worst yet. I had more then bugs broken because of poor packing and poor moving than I did on all 3 international moves combined. When I filed my insurance claim, they denied half of the items saying they were already damaged.
This was categorically untrue and they were just trying to get out of paying for the damaged item. I took pictures as they took furniture off the truck where the leg was broken off. No way it was broken while I was using it when they packed it on the truck. I do not recommend them for any moves and will be contacting the Better Business Bureau, as well as explore legal ramifications of such poor and unethical service. UPDATE: I am upgrading to 3 starts because we finally were able to get our issues resolved. After having a conversation with the President of the company, we agreed on a reasonable solution.

I had a bid by Mike a few weeks prior to my move. He was very through in my estimate and included everything including distance from the elevator and length of walk to the front doors. I moved from a 1 bedroom apartment and small storage unit to a 4 bedroom home. The movers showed up on time and called me to inform me of their arrival. They packed everything very well and were very sweet and nice.
My team was a group of older gentlemen but they did get the job done very well. My only complaints were that they damaged two walls (very minor), a tiny bit of damage to my tv but it works still and it took them 6 hours to complete my move. However, NDMS did not charge me a dime more than my estimate because the team was a bit slower so I did not care if it took them awhile but for others that may be a bad thing.
Overall a great time, they did not take forever in the drive from the apartment to the house and make me feel like my belongings are safe. I am going to contact NDMS about the damages but I am sure they will be very helpful. I would recommend them to anyone!

United dragged us through a 2 month wait while our lost boxes were not found. The movers seemed respectful and helpful at first, but upon further inspection of our belongings (which doesn't happen on the exact day of the move) we discovered they had scanned and reported labels and numbers for our boxes that weren't even present in the house!
We lost over $300 of items and now they are not compensating us or replacing the damaged goods. The director of their insurance coverage kept losing my claim paper and no one is giving us answers. We're calling lawyers.

I will not use them again. Not when there are hundreds of other moving companies. $1599 55 inch tv screen was cracked in the move. They claim they can only legally give my $27.24 for it. = not good enough. It took me calling them for 2 weeks for them to get the process started. Keyshala is very unmotivated and acts like you are disturbing her when you call. Don't let them move anything you value and need. Sorry but it's the truth.

I wouldn't trust these guys with an unbreakable comb. They did a particularly poor job of packing my framed pictures. Instead of packing front to front or back to back, they packed them so the eyehooks from the frame in front would scratch the surface of the frame behind it. We had full value protection through the contract but of course United wouldn't come through with full value.
Not even close. They also only shrink-wrapped my mattress and box spring, but charged me for boxes. Of course, my mattress was then scuffed as it was dragged along the ground. The loaders also weren't very careful with things and the tops of six book cases were ripped off. They also failed to put inventory stickers on about a dozen boxes. Thankfully I looked on the truck and saw them.
Communication was also terrible. The driver didn't call to give a delivery time until I checked on it, and the shuttle service they said I needed was never requested on the drop off end. Go with someone else if given the opportunity.

More than five stars if I could! I booked them for a move from ponder Texas to Albuquerque New Mexico. They came out and gave a good estimate Sheryl Gibson handled everything. I got 5 calls the day before from 5 different people to let me know when my driver (Edgar) would arrive. He and his crew arrived right on time and had me loaded in 2 hours. My scheduled delivery was Wednesday but he came a day early and got me unloaded. Each crew member there and here came up, introduced themselves and shook my hand. This was an awesome experience and I would recommend them o anyone!
