Bekins of South Florida is the best! They helped me pack my large items (including a piano), store my boxes and furniture, and move me to my new home. Thomas, Bobby and their crew wrapped everything so well - nothing was damaged or broken. They did an awesome job. Freda came to my house to do the estimate. I felt confident after meeting with her that I was making the right decision to go with Bekins.
Everyone treated me with kindness and respect. The office staff (especially Trevor and Sylvia) was always available to answer my questions. Thank you all so much for making my move successful!

Used 2 times- 1st was small move and worked ok- second was complete disaster. sent army and paid for an army to work. Only problem? Only 1 of 5 people worked. Was charged for all- everything arrived weeks late, broken, scratched, missing small parts, items dropped right off the truck. I requested full replacement value insurance. During the confusion it was unchecked after tripling the quoted price. Showed up in Ohio- 3 weeks late with 1 person to unload a semi truck full of belongings, they hired a local crew paid them cash for 3 hours to unload. Was to be in Ohio at 8am arrived at 1:30PM. Needless to say just threw boxes and pieces everywhere.
Stay clear they subcontract everything with little to no supervision. They do not stand behind their service and point the fingers at the subcontractors. Not responsive to sales calls- drops issues on operations, operations changes from Bekins to Wheaton to some local laborers.

Great moving company! They gave us a timeframe for how long the move would take from our house to an apartment. The guys came in and got right to work. They were professional & hard working. Only issue was Freida who came in to access the amount of stuff we had to move, missed the part where we told her it would be three flights of stairs the movers had to go up.
She contacted us during the move and informed us it would cost an extra hour. We did not mind as the movers worked so hard. Great company! Wish we had used them when we moved out of the apartment.

Called into Bekins to schedule a survey to transport my belongings out of state from my current home I lived in with my husband for the upwards of 40 years, so as I am sure you can imagine this was a new & unfamiliar experience for me. Spoke to a gentleman named Dan who was very kind & informative & scheduled me with surveyor Chris. From the moment he arrived at our location I feel like the good Lord put his hands on me & has taken this burden off of myself & close family.
He was very kind & explained the process to me & informed me of the steps in which were to be taken before move day, I was also fortunate enough to have received boxes dropped off by Bekins. The entire process was impressive with the exception of not receiving much communication after my belongings were loaded. However delivery was very fast so I did not have to wait long without a call! I was notified 24 hrs before delivery Wonderful experience A+

We had a wonderful experience with Bekins! From the very beginning when our salesperson, Serena came over and walked the house taking an inventory, to the moment Mike and his crew came to load our belongings, it was as smooth as could be. Six days later, we met our movers at our storage facility in Alcoa, Tennessee. 4 hours to load everything from our house, and two hours to unload into the storage facility. We were very impressed with the professionalism all throughout the process!

We had a POD that had to be emptied from the parking lot of our new office building to the 3rd floor suite. The movers from Bekin were exptremely professional and friendly. They took great care of our items. They also assembled a 20 foot conference room table and did an amazing job. I highly recommend Bekins of South Florida!

I used Bekins twice for a move and stored our furniture the first move for 3 months. When it was time to take the furniture out of storage Bekins informed us they made no record as to unit they put the storage in and it took 5!days for them to locate and some things never returned to us and did not have insurance. Unfortunately I was stupid and used them again.
They damaged about 4 different pieces and told us we signed when they loaded the truck that these brand new pieces were damaged They were not. They had only 3 men to move the house and one had a bad back and could not lift the item so instead they dragged the piece on the floor ruining the floor and damaging the piece of furniture This is one company to stay away from pay more but use a reliable company

This was the worst experience of my life. They ruined 80 percent of my belongings or just flat out didn't deliver them. Customer service was not sympathetic to any problems. I have sent an invoice of over 70k in damage and or missing items and they offered me 600 dollars. I am not a complainer and I get that things happen but this company and the mother company Wheaton movers did not care about any except receiving payment which you have to give before they deliver.
This company is the worst company I ever dealt with and I will be happy to continue to let everyone know by any means to save you from what I went through. I don't wish this on my worst enemy. The owner personally apologized and told me he would make it right. I believed him and waited almost three months before I sent this. He and his company did nothing. I do not recommend them at all.

The worst company ever. The day my stuff was moved out 4 men came. I thought at first they were doing a good job, but they didn't send a big enough truck. That's when the trouble began. I was having my things stored in the warehouse overnight. They, without alerting me, unloaded the truck in their warehouse and destroyed several items including a very expensive oriental rug.
Two days later they were sent to move my things into my new home. They showed up late and only sent 2 men to do a 4 man job. Not only was my expensive oriental rug destroyed with grease all over it, my China cabinet was chipped, they scraped the paint off my wall and damaged a brand new floor! I'm afraid to start opening boxes. God knows what else they damaged! Serena lies and pretends to be nice. Don't believe her! Beware Bekins! Never use this company! I used Bekins SF for a long distance move from Delray Beach to New York. This was truly one of the biggest mistakes I have make. It was an absolute disaster -- only use this company if you want your items handled with no care at all & to be feel unsafe in the process. At a baseline -- I did a in-person tour for a quote, not enough boxes were brought for my very fragile mirrors & pictures leading to one being broken. What's even worse is that one of the drivers asked my sister for a ride to the bank to cash a check in order to pay guys on another job site -- hello we are in a global pandemic -- to ask a client to have you take them to run an errand while on a job site is absolutely insane to me. There is so much more I can say about my negative experience. Long story -- do not use Bekins!

Absolutely horrible! Booked the move 2 months in advance and movers showed up 4 hours late and then did not have enough boxes- went to home depot and they still didn't buy enough boxes. Packing was horrific - THREW my clothes and shoes in wardrobe boxes- the rest of the items were thrown in my large black trash bags and my recycling bags because they were in a rush and didn't have enough boxes or packing accessories!

We moved across the country in June of 2020. The only way I can describe this Bekins move was "frightening." I suggest extreme caution if you use Bekins of South Florida. We move frequently (at least every 4-5 years) based on my job. Instead of giving you a description of the move (which would take 10 pages), let me give you a summary of the problems. 1.
Everyone at Bekins of South Florida tells you exactly what you want to hear. This is from the initial salesperson on down. This does not translate into actual practice. 2. You are assigned a moving coordinator. Do not for a moment, believe that he is listening to you or doing what you ask. His ONLY concern is to protect Bekins. Horrible customer service from him.
He would call me 2-3 minutes before he would leave for the day (typically a Friday) and leave a message. I would then not be able to ask questions until the following Monday. He believes he knows best (which is NOT true). He also believes he knows his business (this is NOT true). Many things were not properly explained. For example, they don't remove major boxes (like for a bed), and if they disassemble a piece of furniture to move it, they did NOT reassemble it at the destination. I'm sure I could have purchased these services, but it was never discussed that I needed to. Clearly, major issues were not explained to me before the move.
I suspect they know, you are getting bids ( and they wish to keep their bid lower). When I asked the moving men to reassemble something at the end of the move they became openly belligerent. Despite repeated requests, he failed to provide proper insurance forms to the condo at my destination, he also failed to provide proper documents to the movers I had asked him to, directions, condo rules for movers, etc. 3.
On both moves the man who served as the team leader brought one of his children to help. This clearly invalidates Bekins's assertion that all movers are trained. This is an accident waiting to happen. 4. NEVER make the mistake I did. ALWAYS walk your home with Bekins movers BEFORE and after the move. They get miffed and insulted when you ask but do it.
The Bekins team caused major damage to a wall on the stairs. I did not notice until they left. They made two major gouges in the drywall which cost me 450.00 to repair. There is no way they made this gouge without knowing it. It clearly speaks to the moving men's character that they damaged my home and did not report it to me. My fault, and I ate the cost.
Lesson learned. 5. The moving team that delivered us was angry upon their arrival. They were cold and rude from the minute they arrived. Something was in play between them and Bekins. 6. The team leader did not walk our home before moving furniture in (this caused major problems). I should have not allowed this, but you are between a rock and hard place.
You do not want to aggravate folks handing your precious "stuff." This is one of the many instances of Bekins movers failing to follow the process. 7. One of the moving men used profanity when I told him I was unhappy and was going to call Bekins. I think some of these moving men are untrained subcontractors. Exercise extreme caution. We were very happy when this moving team left. Thanks, Bekins for making this the most difficult, the most stressful, frightening and the worst move I have ever experienced in my lifetime.

Bekins is a Great company and Drivers were incredible and the customer service manager Scott Stone went above and beyond. If Christian O'neill is your salesperson RUN. He will mislead you and tell you what you want to hear. Everything I was told over and over again he very clearly repeated and we totally understood each other. The day the Delivery drivers picked up my stuff they were very professional and took great care of my daughters belongings. 2 Hours after they leave I get a call that changed everything.

This is when Christian kept saying we must have had miscommunications so that he could cover his butt. Drivers on both sides were fantastic- Crews on both sides great but destination crew was literally the best I've ever seen- care for our belongings, amazing attitude, care for our home, great communication. Origin crew was great-managed well but a lot of guys and not so intuitive - Sales agent was correct on his communications up front and quote was accurate and moderate.
Only issue was customer service didn't do a great job communicating with us or driver. Sales knew we would need a shuttle but no one told the driver until I talked to him on Friday before the Sunday move. We kept looking for updates prior and got. crickets. We had to chase communications last 2-3 weeks. But destination crew made up for entire process. Willy, Adrian and JJ - a small crew for our 3400 sq ft home plus garage, were so professional and calming.
Our new house at 4,000' altitude with a difficult driveway- one single door for 3 stories and no garage- so our tools and garage cabinets had to go to the bottom floor- these 3 handled every step with poise like I've never seen. And they weigh probably 380lb between all 3 of them- amazing ballet of moving we witnessed, with smiles and light hearted humor- these 3 took a normally crazy stressful process and made it painless and a pleasure. My wife and I were so happy during and at the end of the move- can't this team enough!

Quick move on a short notice from Miami to Miami. Our specialist " Chris " came out to my residence, surveyed & estimated our furniture & deco. After a efficient half hour or so, gave a spot on estimate and described what packing & why would be done on my select fragile items. Was very thrilled in the service he gave as well as the service I received from the crew once they arrived.
Everything was done fast & efficiently, and arrived without any issues. Bekins will be the only company I use moving forward for my friends & family moving needs. Thanks again

I have used several moving companies throughout my 28 years I'm south Florida, none more professional & courteous as the team from Bekins of SF. From top to bottom, they did everything they promised and then some. They're team of 3 guys were hard working and couldn't be nicer. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends & family in a heart beat.

BEWARE! We had a similar experience to Ignacio F. Unfortunately, we can only conclude at this point that a theft occurred by a Bekins employee. Bekins will take no responsibility for it, nor will they pay out our claim for the $1200 in missing items. The items were stored in a chest in our home, and shortly before they went into Bekins possession, the contents were photographed. Bekins packed the chest the items were in and stored them at their warehouse, before delivering them to our destination.
When we unpacked the box the chest was packed in, several of the contents in the chest were gone. Bekins has said everything from they don't cover stolen items (and told us to file a police report) to, you should have told us that something was missing upon delivery. They said that if we didn't claim the box the contents were in was missing on the day of delivery, then we don't have a claim. What?!
We are supposed to go through 300 boxes before the driver leaves our house and let you know if something is missing?! We paid for the full-coverage insurance, and were told we had up to 9 months to file a claim. We reported the missing items IMMEDIATELY upon discovering they were missing, both verbally, and in writing, within two weeks of our delivery.
We sent a photo of the items that were in the chest just before they went into Bekins possession, and a photo of the items in the chest upon opening it, after it was in their possession. Be warned, if you have anything of value that is small enough to hide in a pocket, watch your movers pack, seal and mark the box on the inventory sheet before allowing them to take it into their possession.
I wish I could say the theft was the only problem with Bekins. As Ignacio also mentioned, they did not have enough staff (blaming it on not expecting so much business during COVID) and my husband and I ended up joining the crew as packers at our origin, and unloading and taking inventory at destination. This was NOT what we paid nearly $20K for! Bekins did not secure the work site at our origin, resulting in physical injury; did not initiate communication with us during the move; did not take care of many of our items as promised [did not wrap legs of furniture, did not wrap rugs and store them properly (two of our rugs were ruined beyond repair)]; and did not take responsibility for items that went missing (or were stolen?) in their care (and did I mention that they also tried to get more money out of us, after giving us a not-to-exceed estimate?!). Bekins practices are shady, at best. Do yourself a favor and look for another mover.

My items FINALLY ARRIVED on Thursday March 26! (original delivery spread was March 7-14th). Disappointed to say that the compensation Joe at Bekins of South Florida felt appropriate was $450. NO IT ISNT! He said the shipment did not qualify for any compensation but since they messed up so badly he felt $450 was fair. He told me this the night before expected arrival and also threatened if I didn't pay my bill before the mover arrived at 8am, my items would be put in storage & listed all the extra fees that will be added in!
I never said I wouldn't pay my bill so not sure why he felt the need to be such a jerk. Just to know, corporate office told me the daily average discount per day and Joe was way under it. I realize the moving industry is a tough one and there are lots of mixed reviews out there. My number one advice is to make sure there is a truck ready to go with the shipment (that it won't sit for 2-3 weeks) and get it in writing what compensation for each day late would be!
I have moved many times before and have never had this big of a problem. And I will NEVER use Bekins or Wheaton Van lines ever again. Especially Bekins of South Florida. Check out the pic I am posting of a tall ceramic lamp. This is how they packed it! Can't believe it made it without breaking.

We did a lot of research, and I personally stressed over making a choice, as it just seemed like most movers had fairly bad reviews, with horror stories attached. Finally I went to the BBB, and found Bekins. They have an excellent rating with the BBB. So we called. A wonderful woman came to the house and gave us our rate, the gentlemen that showed up to move us couldn't have been nicer, and very conscientious about wrapping and handling our stuff with care. I highly recommend.

The worst moving company in South Florida. not only do they lie to you about how they will wrap and treat your furniture but everything comes chipped, scratches, and dented. They even lie about assembling your furniture and try to take short cuts that could endanger you when the bed collapses. They claimed my frames would be put in cartons at the warehouse, they were not.
They claimed the legs of the furniture would be wrapped, they were not. All my clothes came in wrinkled balls in crushed boxes. And the driver literally left crap on my toilet after asking to use the bathroom. Both on the seat and the side. Also they will try and jack up your cost and not provide support when you ask why the weight was 1/3 higher than the estimate. Even after the driver initially tells you it was actually under weight.

Moving is VERY stressful. I hate Choosing a moving company because so many companies have been given bad reviews it's hard to weed out a good one. I was very fortunate to get a fabulous crew from Bekins moving. I was so pleased and impressed with the crew I received. The guys I got were from what they call "VINCENTS TEAM" they were 5 of the most wonderful, helpful & honest guys you would be pleased to work with.
Both days, pick up and delivery, they arrived promptly and were very cordial. Robert, the dispatch manager, was very accommodating and Luis the sales agent represented the company with HONESTY and integrity, I give the company 5 stars for making my two day move a STRESSLESS one. I DEFINITELY recommend them HIGHLY! THANK YOU! GREAT JOB!

Bekins (Mike Titus- hoorrrayyy and the best) set me up 3 years ago. The father (Mitch) and son team that packed me; to the 3-5 gentlemen that came to move me from SoFlo to Jacksonville, where the most caring, compassionate, hands-on wonderful crew that took care of me. From Mike (team coordinator) to the packers, to the movers. were so seamless and flawless.
I have been spoiled- and now that I have to move across town while I am building a home; I am afraid I won't be able to find someone as wonderful as Bekins. Please be nice to them. They take care of your precious belongings at your most stressful time so don't take it out on them. They will take care of your biggest stress. Ask for Mike Titus!
