The company came highly recommended as other reviews state. Not for us. The crew that delivered our belongings were very friendly and very professional. Not so much for the office staff. Our belongings were picked up in Arizona on 5/16/2022 and delivered to North Carolina on 6/13/2022! It is just over a 3 day trip but took almost a month to deliver!

We were told the truck broke down. Then our load ended up In Houston. Then we were told our belongings would kept on the locked truck but who would leave items on the truck and leave it unusable? We were then told the truth, they had a " big" job that they needed the driver for. So for a month it appears our items were unloaded and left in the warehouse and then reloaded when they had another load to pick up in the general area of our delivery.

Then came time for the billing. I had selected the option with a higher deductible insurance ($500) yet I was charged the highest amount on my one page "Order for Service" even though I initialed the lower deductible. Now we know why they damaged our furniture on the reload! We had very few pieces of furniture, maybe a half dozen. Two showed up damaged beyond repair! ( we had mostly boxes). Boxes are also showing signs of damage.

We won't know until we unpack in a few months. Along with the higher price they tacked on a 3% credit card fee and said it is company policy! Maybe it should be noted on the one page proposal as we could have made payment in another manner to avoid this fee. Had no choice but to pay. Would never recommend them. If we had known how this was going to happen like this we would have left our stuff safely locked up and not trust a company who did nothing but mislead us.

The movers arrive promptly! 2 men movers however Princeton kept flirting with me the entire day of the move asking me multiple personal questions throughout the day from the moment he saw me even his colleague mentioned to him to stop before he get in trouble with "my boyfriend" felt extremely uncomfortable and just wanted to get it this day over with. Seems like he's was more focused on me than moving my things which even lead to him breaking my candles which aren't getting replaced due to the company "protection policy" they didn't pack my boxes so whatever is broken they are not responsible. Mr. Haynes dropped my box then persist to show me his mother's instagram stating that she has a candle business and that they will be replaced.

After the move I heard nothing back from him, I contacted the company and the manger wasn't any help. These candles meant a lot to me and I am very disappointed please be careful who you chose to move your valuable things. This is my first and last time doing business with this company.

A Better Tripp Movers had been storing my grandmother's dining room set for 10 years. They delivered to our new home it in great condition. The workers were polite and courteous and set the furniture up just right. We have more furniture to move in the future and we will have A Better Tripp do it. I do recommend them.

We hired A Better Tripp to move my parents from Spring to Baytown Nov 2021. They did such an amazing job for a great price, that I hired them again for my cross-Texas move in April 2022. This was my first long distance move, and lots of stuff - 4 bedroom house! They made it so easy. Mike in the office always had an answer every time I called. My loading and moving crew were professional, fast, and super careful with my things! I definitely recommend!

They were great, the 4 guys we had working on our move were friendly and followed our requests without hesitation. They worked their tails off and got 2 packed trucks fully moved in a day. No damages, they really came through and helped out so much. Would highly recommend.

I recently moved from an apartment to another apartment on December 27, 2021. A Better Tripp was recommended by a friend, and they did not disappoint. The three guys who helped me move were on time, professional, polite, and handled my things with the utmost care. They had to use the stairs because the elevator was unfortunately out of service, and they handled it without any issues. I've moved many times, and this was such an easygoing experience that I would highly recommend this company! Will be using them again.

Used a Better Tripp for a move back in the middle of COVID in 2020, can't believe I forgot to leave a review (until now) for the wonderful job the team did for me. They were careful with my belongings on a long haul move from Houston to NYC, and were accommodating to my requests for a remote move as I did not feel safe traveling up to my new home yet.

When I finally got up to my place 5 months later, I honestly was expecting the worst, but everything was there. And everything was intact. It was such a great feeling of money well spent with this company and I highly recommend them and will use them the next time I make a long haul move. Thank you

I hired A Better Tripp Moving to do a long distance move into a storage unit for a temporary move back in August 2020. After receiving multiple quotes from other companies, A Better Tripp Moving came it on the lower-end (although, I do believe they were running a promo at the time), didn't inundate me with calls to get me to choose them like multiple other moving companies, and I had always heard raving reviews about this mover in the past. Melvin was fantastic.

He was alway friendly, quick to return my phone calls and provided an accurate quote after the in-home estimate. Day of the move, the movers arrived closer to the middle or end of the time slot they provided for arrival but were some of the most efficient, hard-working movers I've ever worked with. I can't recall how long it took for them to move my items, but they did an excellent job.

Once my items were loaded onto the truck, they were going to be loaded onto the semi the next day that was heading to ATL. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough room on the semi so the shipping of my items was delayed by a few days. However, it wasn't a big deal since the items would be sitting in a storage unit in a different state, so it really made me no difference.

Even though Melvin knew that I didn't have a strict date in which these items would need to be in ATL, he was completely empathetic when he told me the news. I received updates from the Better Tripp Moving team once my items were loaded and they provided an accurate ETA on when the semi would make it to ATL. This was important since I wasn't in ATL at the time and needed to coordinate everything with a friend.

For as many logistics were involved in this move plus the added fun of moving during a pandemic, A Better Tripp Moving made this is a seamless process, communicated with me at every step of the way, and really helped calm any nerves or anxiety I might have. In terms of the state of my items, there was a broken vase (I packed everything myself) and a broken desk drawer. But, for as many times my items had to be loaded on/off the truck and by other movers (not just A Better Tripp's Houston-based team), it's really difficult to say who was at fault. It's also rare for a long distance move to have absolutely 0 damages and I still felt incredibly satisfied with the overall experience and service I received that they are still well deserving of a 5 star review. I have worked in self-storage for many years. As a result I have observed and worked with, quite literally, dozens upon dozens of moving companies. When it came time for me to move, I used A Better Tripp. It's also one of a select few companies I recommend to my customers (even over other moving companies who offer commissions to people in my line of work for referrals, yes this happens) because when I used them they were professional, quick, and friendly.

They moved me from a third story apartment to a house about 40 minutes apart and I was very pleased with what I saw. Their rates were reasonable as well. I've also had them move my brother and close friends who had similar experiences. Moving is stressful and ABetterTripp made their part of it hassle free for me. Also, just be aware, and I say this as a general moving tip no matter who you are or who's moving you: Have as much done as possible before they arrive.

Pack smart. Move the small, expensive, or super sentimental things yourself. Be friendly and kind to the movers, just like you would a chef or waiter in a restaurant. Don't assume it'll take the minimum amount of time. In the three-ish years I've been recommending them, I've yet to have a complaint.

A Better Trip Moving & Storage is the worst business that we have ever come in contact with.because: 1. Requested max price prior to the move and was told they don't give a max price on local moves------that should have been my first clue that this was going to go badly, but they came highly recommended. 2. Requested a 4th person prior to the move to help speed up the move time, they said yes that would probably save us money-------the 4th person stayed on the truck the entire time going through our possessions and opening our boxes searching for items to take 3.

They sent a truck that was too small for the items such as refrigerator, antique armoire, wine fridges and dishwasher that we listed in the contract for the move. In the end they refused to move any of the appliances because they told us we would have to hire their appliance movers if we wanted it moved. 4. They (4 movers) took 14 hours to move a two-bed room apartment that did not include our clothing, china, crystal or kitchen items.

We had already moved those items to storage prior to the move. 5. They did not complete the move - we had to hire a new company to complete the job they were hired to do. The new movers All My Sons moved all of the appliances with no issues and arrived with a large moving truck 6. they overcharged for services not rendered 7. they purposely slowed actual move time by wrapping items that did not require wrapping 8. they lost valuable items saying someone else must have taken them while they left them unattended at the elevator landing 9. they left many of our items behind-some we found on different floors of the apartment complex the following day and some we never found 10. they damaged valuable items 11. they damaged the new house that was the destination for the move ceiling and wall damage from the first floor stairwell through to the 3rd floor bedroom moving our king size mattress. 12.

We paid them $2,550 for a move that was not complete and had to pay another mover to finish the job at the cost of $800 making the move of a 2-bedroom apartment $3,350 But worst of all there was a complete lack of empathy and professionalism. No return calls and no resolution from the complaints; just cold-hearted smirks. There was no response; no apology from "A Better Trip" when confronted with the shoddy work. "A Better Tripp" ended being a very, very "BAD TRIPP"

Other than some scheduling conflicts, we were very pleased with a Better Tripp. Jose and his crew were fast, friendly, professional, and courteous. They were careful with antiques and handled my grandmother's furniture with care. Having gone through many moves and dealt with poor movers who broke items and were quite rude, this was a really pleasant surprise. Overall, we were very happy with the service and would recommend it!

It took 14 hours costing $2,200 to move a 2bed/2bath and 1/4 garage with the excuse that it's because they had to use stars to get to the second floor instead of an elevator. They charged me for their lunch break as well until I said something about it. As I'm unpacking I'm missing several items. I'm going to have to pull the boxes out of my storage unit to find my stroller, new dishes and several other items. Now that my payment has cleared no one will return my calls or emails to help with any of these issues.

Used this company twice, and both times they showed up late. With having to reserve freight elevators in buildings, it makes the move very difficult and more expensive when they miss the reserved window, so I was VERY specific that the time frame was critical. First move, they were an hour and a half late. Second move, they guaranteed me an on time start because it was the first move of the day, and were late again.

Once they show up, there is 15 minutes of paperwork despite filling it all out in advance and submitting it to them. For both moves, I had to run around trying to apologize to the building management and smooth things over while they tried to fit in the move outside the window of reservation time. The movers speak very little English, or choose to, so communication is difficult. The second move cost 1.5 times the estimate. I won't use them again.

They are great with moving. Melvin is great every time. His customer service is perfect. We have moved with them over 10 times in 9 months. However Linda Fowler is less then a pleasure to deal with every time. Linda seems frustrated with any questions. I assume she is the receptionist, however she is not even pleasant, seems arrogant and in a rush to get off the phone. She has no care about customers concerns or feelings. She has no idea what the word validate means either.

We recently moved from Houston to the Texas Hill Country, a daunting task. A Better Tripp Movers took care of everything in a most professional and friendly manner. They arrived on time to load the truck on the Saturday, delivered our household goods to us the next day at noon 300 hundred miles away all for a very reasonable and fair price. Should we move again, we would use no one else but A Better Tripp Movers, we wish we had heard about them in the past. Our movers, David and Gil were top class!

I would like to give this business 4.5 stars but it would not let me. Melvin was awesome. Gave an accurate quote and came out in a timely fashion to do it. Also agreed to throw in some wardrobe boxes. The crew was efficient, timely and finished quickly. nothing broken or missing. Only reason for the 4.5 star was they left their step ladder and it took almost a week for them to come pick it up even after a few phone calls.

The guy who picked it up refused to take back the wardrobe boxes and said he wasn't allowed? Otherwise I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to friends.

Melvin and his crew are the best. Moving from Houston to Los Angeles became a seamless and easy process with a Better Tripp. I called and received quotes from many moving companies in Houston. After being burned by the previous moving company I used, I was a bit apprehensive to go with A Better Trip Moving & Storage; however, I have zero complaints! I called and organized my move from Houston to Austin with Melvin. He ended up giving me a flat rate (that was much less than the competitors) and said my three man moving crew would arrive between 8-9am.

The guys arrived promptly at 8:15am on moving day. They were quick and efficient. They wrapped my fragile belongings and were careful not to damage anything. Prior to their arrival I called the office and requested a few wardrobe boxes which to my surprise they did not end up tacking on any additional charges for. I am so pleased and would definitely use this company in the future. Their professionalism and concise communication made my most recent move simple and stress free!

A better Tripp is in my experience a very honest and reputable company. I had made a mistake and went online to look for a company to move us from Houston to Waco. I was inundated with phone calls immediately. It was almost bordering on harassment. Some other companies were reasonable and other simply weren't. If you are new to getting a mover then there are guides online.

I looked seriously into perhaps 1 or 2 other companies. One was quoting an insane figure to move us and another we would have to list every single item or it wouldn't be included in the estimated price. I was getting desperate but somehow remembered about seeing a better tripps website. I called and quickly discussed my situation with a moving specialist there.

He was very patient w me and explained the ins and outs of what I went through and fully answered my questions. Allen saw me through the planning stages. He referred me where I could buy boxes as well as a very responsible agency to clean the apartment after the move. Tracy I believe was her name was a very responsible employee. She was I believe in charge of logistics for our move.

She and the employees were very competent and professional. One of the movers only helped pack the truck and didn't travel to Waco w us. Tracy worked with us to give him a tip. All of the movers were very friendly and we actually tipped them more than we planned because of their attitude. All in all a very positive experience and if we moved again I would use them again.

I found that a fixed price move as well as not having to list each item to go on the truck ideal. A better trip did just that. Allen even came to our apartment to make sure what items we had to prepare the movers and make sure we didn't need something packed special so it wouldn't break ect. My fiance and I really enjoyed our moving experience. Unpacking on the other hand not so much. Ha ha!

A better Tripp moved my belongings from Houston to Washington, D.C., 3 men came to pack up our furniture and pick up things we chose to pack up. They were very professional and very careful with our things. Our things arrived without any issues. My only complain was that the driver took a little longer to let us know on the status of his arrival to DC, but once we spoke he clarified when to expect our things and time. Overall I would definitely use them again if I plan to move, very professional.

Summary: Shipped goods from Houston, TX to Pleasanton, CA. Loading and unloading were performed by the shipping driver and assistant. Cons: The fellow who packed and drove the truck broke three legs off of a 1200$ cherry wood and leather bench. Bench beam (attached to legs) was also split in half. On arrival in Pleasanton, the fellow argued that since it could be fixed, it wasn't broken.

He refused to document the damage on the form and drove off. He was unprofessional and extraordinarily rude- and told the shipping office that I broke the bench (an outright lie). The shipping company gave me $54 (per the insurance agreement) to repair it. Tried to find a furniture repair company in the area- all required me to deliver the bench to the facility. So, I've an expensive, broken bench. Pros: The office staff were very helpful and professional. It's probable, judging from the other reviews here, that this was a pretty rare accident involving one absolutely awful employee.

The company offered to pay for repairs (beyond the $54 insurance) within reason- but I couldn't find anyone to repair it. Overall, I'd bet that this is a great company and that we just both got unlucky with a really unstable employee.

A Better Tripp moved some of my furniture and breakable items from Houston to California for me. They were very professional and did a great job. Everything made it safely. I was in frequent contact with the truck drivers on the morning of the delivery and the day of the pick up. Every time I called their office leading up to the move everyone was very friendly and helpful in addressing my concerns.

There are two items I'd like to note (1) They sent me a quote that needed to be updated (they had assumed I wanted the minimum insurance, which was incorrect, and did not include packing material), and I never actually received a paper copy of the update until the day of the move. They did give me a quote on the phone and it was the same as the paper copy. (2) It was hard to nail down a pick up date with them.

They gave me a 2 week window and called the day before to say they would be picking things up. They were prompt and on time, it was just a bit of a rush to get everything coordinated in the end. All in all, everything went GREAT and I am very happy with A Better Tripp. The reviews posted before me on Yelp are not great, but if you search around on the internet you will find additional information on them from a lot more people.
